The End of Me is the first book of the steamy new Change of Heart series from author Amanda Bailey.
Life gets complicated when you fall in love with your best friend...
Quirky writer Cammie Harper is an insomniac with a taco addiction. She and her parents have never been close, but she has a few friends that are like family. The only thing missing from her near-perfect life is love. When she meets Joe Luciano at a wedding, he checks off all her boxes. He's kind, smart, and handsome. What more could she want?
English teacher Blake Moore has been in love with Cammie since college. He has watched her heart break at her inability to find someone to love, but he feels trapped in the friend-zone, unable to confess how he feels. The arrival of Joe pushes Blake to make a decision; does he make his move now, or risk losing her forever? The problem is that if it doesn't work out, it could destroy their friendship and the only family Cammie has.
Amanda Bailey lives in Virginia in her dream home in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. She enjoys staying home with her two children and husband, watching movies and reality TV, and reading books. She writes what she loves to read--swoon-worthy romance with a little angst thrown in on the side. ★

This was cute. It was the author's first novel and while there were some things that I didn't love about it, it was miles better than some other first (and tenth) books I've read before. It was very sweet. Blake was every girl's dream.
When I open a first person book, I read a few lines and close it and open another book. I don't like books written in first person. This book was written so that it caught my attention and kept me reading the entire book.
I thought it was interesting Cammie and Blake were good friends, she met joe at a wedding and started dating him but Blake's family had treated her like a member so she actually fell in love with Blake she told Joe she was going to stop seeing him but he didn't want to accept it and he and Blake came to blows over it but Cammie ended up with Blake. for a first time writer she did an excellent job.
I really enjoyed this book! I don’t always like first person but this was well done. I liked all of the characters (except one) I’m excited to read the next book(right now lol) But am I the only person that wants to know how Cammie pays her bills? Did I miss that part?
Oh my goodness this is a whirlwind of a love story! These two best friends are such a joy to watch realize they love one another & their journey there!
What is better than having a good solid group of friends? Maybe one of those friends turning into the love of your life?! Cammie and Blake have been friends since college. Now living next door to one another, along with their other friend Sophia, the three of them do everything together. But Sophia knows both their secrets and Sophia knows how they would be perfect for one another. Yet, Cammie finds a new guy has sparked her interest. If Cammie gives into her desires for Blake it could ruin their perfect friendship. On top of ruining the only family which is actually Blake’s family, which happens to be the only family she has ever had and doesn’t want to lose. So should she just ignore her feelings for Blake and go for this new guy? Or should she listen to her heart and give friends to love a shot? Such an awesome, fun and entertaining read.
I love Blake's family! They are great and accepting. It was nice that all three of them stayed really good friends after college and had things they did together multiple times a week.
Great combination of real life characters and romance!
Loved the first oart of this series and excited to get to know characters in next book. Only complaint I would have is to make it longer :) I hope to read more future books about these characters!
Romance isn't usually my thing, but every once in a while it's nice to take a break from the heavy, dark books with a nice light romance. I liked this one enough to continue the series the next time I'm ready for a romance.
This was a very light, easy read. It had a great storyline and very likable characters. I enjoyed the author’s writing style and I can’t wait to read more from her!
