Monica King, the Gun Witch, is about to meet her fate. With Talbot missing in action and her search for information about her predecessor at a dead end, Monica is burdened with the mantle of carrying out the endless war against the Scaravae and their minions all on her own. When she catches wind of a major plot laid by the fanatical Carrion Dawn, Monica does what she can to prepare for the worst, but all of the precautions in the world can’t ready her for what they have in store. Because Hannibal Marks is back. Still reeling from his defeat at King's hands, this time the disgraced Scaravae lieutenant has a small army of Black Syndicate mercenaries at his back, along with a deadly new enforcer and an unpredictable ally with dark secrets of his own. And Marks has a score to settle older than Monica herself, because his vendetta against the Gun Witch dates back nearly 80 years to World War II, when paranormal Nazi stormtroppers called the Hexesoldaten planned to use then Gun Witch Jennifer Bowers to power the dark artifact known only as the Hellhammer. Now, today, the Nazi plans may finally come to fruition, and Monica will discover that the only thing worse than not knowing her purpose is discovering what dark destiny awaits her...

Just finish it. All the books in this series are predictable with the same antagonist. The Gun witch is a 2-dimensional character with no dept. The action is good but predictable. The only surprise was that she was to be a sacrificial lamb. I read other books before these series and the demons or antagonists continue to surprise you and no one demon or monster was central. The monsters were limitless and in many cases came out of the left field. The previous characters had more dept and the main protagonist was a reservoir of limitless persistent and very flawed a human.
