Playboy is the main reason I’m staying there and not leaving. Now, he’s locked up and won’t see or talk to me. Can I let him in or will he break my heart beyond repair? Griffin ‘Playboy’ Busch I grew up in the Phantom Bastards MC with my dad, Slim, being the President. I’m used to being alone and only using the house bunnies when I need to. At least now that I’m older. They don’t call me Playboy for any other reason than I used to take whatever woman caught my eye. That all stopped when one woman and her young son entered my life. Now, she’s the one I want and the only one I won’t be with because of her past. Until fate decides to step in and our lives change. I’m locked up and don’t want her to see me as anything but who I am on the outside. Can I win her back and then protect her when a new enemy poses a threat?
Sam Hart is a single mom who has a hard time trusting men, but she is given a chance at not only protection but a fresh start Sam is beginning to find a new happiness. Griffin 'Playboy' Busch has never been one to settle down, but when he meets Sam he knows he wants her and plans to gain her trust. Everything is going well until a huge hurdle is thrown in their path and Playboy makes a decision to protect Sam that could end up blowing up in his face.
This was quite a bit different then I was expecting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You want to smack Playboy a bit but you get where he is coming from, even if it goes awry. Great story and series.
Sam had some trust issues with Playboy after what she endured with her crazy ex Carl and especially when he not beat her but also broke Caleb's arm and they both wound up in the hospital. I really hate that she didn't get to complete her nurse training but hopefully will in the near future. Playboy showed her daily that he loved her and Caleb, but when he got arrested and refused her visits or even any letters, she felt it was best for her and Caleb to leave Dander Falls and they wound up in a small town named Torrino and she got lucky when they stopped for food at a truck stop and just so happened that Carson the owner needed a waitress and he also had a home for them to rent. Edna was also a waitress there so they worked different shifts so Edna could watch Caleb for her. She also found out before they moved that she was pregnant but didn't realize until a doctors appointment that it was twins. She had some sickness with this and also started bleeding badly and the doctor put her on bed rest because she was so stressed with everything. Just so happened that Carson knew of Slim and his club so he contacted them to come get Sam and get her back home. Different events happened where she was hurt by a deranged man from another supposedly club because they wanted the club and also their cartel contact. Things didn't go over to well with these idiots and they all got what they deserved. Sam, Playboy and Caleb had two identical twin brothers to add to their family. Happy reading.
This was only the 3rd book that I have read by this author, but it definitely won't be the last! I love the way she writes a strong woman character as a backbone of the main couple. The hero of a story is only as strong as his heroine, Erin Osbourne knows this and writes that couple to perfection.
Sam hasn't had the easiest life, to say the least, but she doesn't complain and continues to live her life, by taking care of her son and taking life one day at a time. Her and her son's saving Grace is Playboy, the VP of the Phantom Bastards MC. When Sam is kidnapped, Playboy kills them so everyone else will know never to touch what is his or they will suffer from the same consequences.
Now, he's in jail while he waits for the lawyers to figure things out and he's not sure if he's strong enough to make it through while he sees the woman he loves break down while blaming herself for him being there.
Sam has decided that she and her son need to move away from the MC family while Playboy is in jail, if he's not going to see her. The escapade that starts with her move is a great ride.
I really enjoyed the secondary characters just as much as the main characters in this book. Sam was such a strong woman and she needed to be for everything she's been through, so I was glad that Erin didn't make her a weak follow along kind of woman...Sam deserved to be MORE...and she got it this Ms. Osborne!
Playboy VP for the MC and Sam the rescued battered single mother. One night together and something happens neither one expected. Playboy is arrested for killing a man that tried to kidnap Sam. But while jail awaiting the trial he refuses to see, talk or even accept letters from Sam. Sam feels he doesn't want or love her so she packs up and leaves. When Playboy gets free because of evidence he goes to Sam and learns what she has kept secret from him and the club. This story flows so easily you keep reading never putting it down. You have steamy with heart ache rolled into it. You get to catch up with characters from other books too so a bonus. I can't wait to read more of this MC.
This book is a good addition to this series. Good characters and plot. Some excitement and romance. The only negative thing is that the writing was just a bit off for this author. I have read and loved all of her books, but, this book seemed almost written by someone else. There was a lot of repeating of information and lots of information included that wasn't needed and didn't add anything to the story. It really took away from the story. Due to this I only gave 4 stars. That being said, I still love this author and will continue to read her books.
I absolutely loved Playboy and Sam's story. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love with them and Caleb. I'm so glad Playboy made up for his mistake when he got locked up. I totally got why Sam left and I loved how he found out he was gonna be a daddy. The club's coming together was the best and their wedding couldn't have been more perfect. I can't wait to see more of them in the future and see how the two needy members of the family keep their parents on their toes. I can't wait to see what happens between Gwen and Killer.
Once again Erin Osbourne takes us on a wild rollercoaster of a ride with any of her books. The this time I find myself wondering if she is okay. I'm only saying this because there were quite a few errors that aren't normally her style. I'm hoping with everything that is going on that everyone is healthy and happy and all right.
Just gotta love Playboy! He is all Alpha Biker but he definitely doesn't always make the brightest decisions when it comes to Women. Sam has always been stronger than she thought, she just needed to realize that she had that strength deep down.
Wow, loved the idea that Sam had to go and find herself and figure out her place. She and Playboy had some issues, but finally got it together. The best part of this was up there with drama, danger, happiness, and then so much love from everybody around them. Would recommend anybody to read this book.
This is a good story, really but the second characters ( Killer and Gwen) stole the show, the epilogue left me broken and I’m not a woman who can forgive that so I think the next one won’t do for me!
What a totally amazing book!! I just absolutely love this series!! I can't wait for the next book to come out!! A definite must read!!! Happy Reading!!!! :)
OMG...…………………………………………………...AWESOME I was pulled into this book right from the get go. Staying there until I had read every single word that had been written. With my mini movie playing along in my head. I love having that. Twists, turns and surprises await you all the way through this book. Some of the surprises you may see coming, where as others you won't. Some of the surprises are large, where as others are small, but each and every one holds equal importance within the story. Emotions run high at different points within this story. The emotions that each of the characters go through can be felt. I went through the emotions along with the characters. But in all honesty I cried more and harder than the characters. Parts of this story really got to me and made me cry those big fat ugly tears and I wouldn't change a thing. I also know it doesn't matter how many times I read this book and I will read it again, I will cry at all the same parts. Erin Osborne has done it again, bought us a book we can feel apart of and I always feel as if I am part of her books. It's as if I am standing in the corner watching things as they occur.
