In book eight of the Steel MC Montana Sarah ‘Topaz’ Cardell had been with the Steels in Montana from the start, moving up from the New Mexico Charter with other Hoez to be there for the men. Her place in the club, allowed her to shelter her damaged heart. For nearly a decade, her past had stayed in the past until a man so similar to the one she’d lost, shows up in Turnabout Creek. Will she allow herself to find out who Onyx really is? And if she does will she be ready to meet the man he is? Enforcer, Dallas ‘Onyx’ King took a chance leaving Los Angeles and moving with one of his best friends to Turnabout Creek, Montana. An amputee from an injury when he was on patrol with the LAPD, his choices were limited. He knew when he arrived he would be the only chip in the cookie and found himself pleasantly surprised to not be. The men, women, and children of the Steel MC welcomed him with open arms and no judgment even when it came to his limited mobility. That is, all but one. When a private argument between Topaz and Onyx turns into a kidnap and torture by a group set on taking over the country, the past will be revealed and true emotions emerge. Can Topaz and Onyx put any hard feelings aside and save themselves from their abductors? And will the true desires bubbling under the surface change both their worlds?

Topaz, Steel MC Charter book 8 by Michel Prince and Wren McCabe I purchased this book. One of my favorite things about this series is the fact it does not shy away or sugar coat intense topic. The story has hit on domestic violence and racism hard in these books. This book is the biggest hammer to the topic of all the books and I worry/fear more will happen with the current “bad guys” of the storyline. *Clapping* Topaz gets a man!! FINALLY!!! I have loved her from the start of the series and so I have been waiting to read her story and find out who steals her heart and makes her an Ol’Lady. She is the “I’ll cut you bitch” momma hen to Roadkills “I will smother you to death” momma hen of the women in the club. Topaz has been in the MC life first when she was with Dell and Steel and now with Red and Roadkill. She knows her place and has earned respect from everyone for her loyalty to the club. But Topaz is just SAD and that hurts me. Onyx is the best sidekick to Hollywood you could have. The two have a great bro-chemistry and it shows. Onyx knows being black is a huge issue for most MC’s but not for Red and his crew. They are interested in the character of the person. The color is of no concern. Unfortunately that is not the issue with a lot of people, especially the ACT-UP idiots….cult…..assholes??? Let’s go with racists assholes. If you aren’t white, then you aren’t right is their slogan. This attitude affects many of the Steel family in Turnabout Creek from Lil’ Mama, Cream, Hack, and many of the babies who live in the ranch. When the racists idiots kidnap Onyx and Topaz they have to deal with her immediate dislike of him. He thinks its because he is a big black man buuuuut that is far from the truth. Topaz has lost and lost a very dear chunk of her heart. Onyx makes her feel things she has learned to ignore and numbed herself too. The story of them dealing with the kidnapping and confronting their feelings was sooooo amazing. But seeing Topaz find a new skill set and feeling finally “at home” in Montana was the cherry on top in the story BUUUUT can I just say, Mountain is next and this girl does like the quiet ones….Better hold me tight Baldy!!
I purchased this book from amazon So excited to be reading Topaz and Onyx’s story. I have been intrigued by Topaz from the start and Onyx caught my attention when he first arrived in Montana. I absolutely loved this story and commend Michel Prince and Wren McCabe for writing stories with such depth and topics that most would avoid. They do not pull their punches when confronting these topics. Topaz made her way up to Montana with other hoez from New Mexico chapter. She runs the Bar/Restaurant/strip club in town for the Steels. Topaz doesn’t want to tie herself down to one person again all that does is cause heartache and pain. She makes sure the guys know there is a no strings attached deal with her. No attachment no heartache. That is until Onyx she avoids him at every turn because the sight of him pulls up so many past memories for her. Onyx arrives in Montana and knows it will not be easy fitting in with the color of his skin. Topaz and Onyx avoid each other but for totally different reasons. Onyx believes Topaz is prejudiced and Onyx is like a seeing a ghost for Topaz. When Onyx decides to confront Topaz they are kidnapped and are trying to make it out alive. Onyx sees a new side to Topaz and realizes she is not prejudice but haunted by her past. I loved Onyx and Topaz they are a perfect pair and complement each other so well. I love the destructive side we see of Topaz. I liked the storyline for this book so many times I was holding on by my fingernails waiting to see what was going to happen next. It was amazing to see these two finally be together and fell a belonging not only with each other but with the Steels. Mountain is up next and I so excited to finally read his story. He has put in so much time with the Steels as a prospect it is finally his time to shine.
I am now onto book 8 AND still loving the whole Steel MC Montana Charter!
This particular book had me on an emotional roller-coaster! There are parts of the story where I wanted to scream at all the injustices that Topaz and Onyx have and had to go through – and other parts of the story where I wanted to scream for joy for these two to get finally get their HEA!
Sarah “Topaz” Cardell moved from the New Mexico Charter to Turnabout Creek to help Red take care of the Hoez. She also took this chance to get far away from her past and hopefully to keep it all buried there. However, when Dallas “Onyx” King decides to join the MC, thoughts and feelings from the past start to appear and she is doing everything she can to shut them down – not even giving Onyx a chance to show her the man he really is.
Dallas “Onyx” King decided to leave LA and head to Turnabout Creek to join the MC (Enforcer). Being an amputee, he thought he really didn’t have many choices left within the LA Police Department. A new fresh start to the MC where everyone was family – except the one person he wanted the most - Sarah “Topaz” Cardell. Not sure what he had ever done to her, but she was not giving him a chance.
After Topaz and Onyx get kidnapped, they realize that they need to work together to get out of this horrible nightmare. Topaz reveals her past after seeing Onyx beaten and bloodied. Onyx is doing everything he can to help her through this while wanting to rip these kidnappers’ apart limb by limb.
Their story is a true “gem” in the MC world – highly recommend!
Authors, Michele Prince and Wren McCabe, did a very good job addressing some sensitive issues that even today on prejudice. You think as a country (US) we shouldn’t have these issues but unfortunately it’s still there. Admittedly things are better and people of all color have rights. Onyx and Topaz have tried to stay out of each other’s way and Topaz made Onyx feel like she was prejudiced when in fact she was trying very hard to not fall in love with him. Topaz as a young woman was encased to a black man who was killed by her family when they found out that she was dating a colored person. When Onyx finally confronts Topaz they are kidnapped as a group dedicated to stop colored people from multiplying (they are prejudiced and part of a group) and saw Onyx kiss Topaz. They managed to escape after Onyx was beaten. Topaz broke down and told Onyx about her past to explain why she totally breaks down when they were beating Onyx. When they get back to the Steel MC’s compound and told them what happened. What happens next you will have to find out by reading the book. You will not regret reading this book. This book is not for everyone but I enjoyed it well the parts where the story is about Onyx and Topaz not the prejudiced part. So happy they escaped.

Steel Mc: Montana Charter Book 8 is a sign of the current times. It's heartbreaking and redeeming. Sarah "Topaz" Cardell moved to the Montana Chapter 10 years ago as one of the HOEZ. She is a Manager of the Bar/Restaurant and sometimes stripper. She sleeps with whatever man wants her, but she's sunk to new lows and now wants something different for her life. But she can never go home again. Dallas "Onyx"King an ex-cop who was injured, moved to Montana with his best friend, where he found acceptance and welcome, which he never expected as a Black Man. Since he arrived Topaz has avoided him, and when she couldn't, she was rude and nasty to him. After a year of this Onyx finally pulled her outside to have it out, where they were abducted. Onyx was beaten and Topaz was drugged, coming to in a cabin. Neither knowing why they were there, until their captors returned. Seems they were from a white supremacist group. Even the children on the ranch weren't safe. But when things escalated for Onyx, Topaz shuts down. What Onyx perceived as prejudice, was so much more. These two had to work their way through a lot of doubts and events. I really, really loved this story!
What a heck of a ride! I have been following this series from the start! This book is phenomenal! Its hard living like Topaz lived. Every night someone different never feeling as if she is good enough or fulfilling her heart with love. It is easier to be free but loneliness can make the most sensible person crazy! Enter Onyx...Now I was raised in Montana myself and it is actually like this story in some areas. The crap that Onyx and Topaz have to go through, well it is not a pretty picture being painted, but with each other they can go on living, not the life either tried to create but something better. This is one of those books that strikes at your heart and makes you want to be a better person. I fell in love with this series and I know you will too. This book struggles with some issues that are prevalent in the hear and now. It does not sugarcoat anything and I commend Michel Prince and Wren McCabe for writing a story that everyone can hopefully relate to. If you have not read this series by all means you are MISSING out.

One of the things that I look for in a good biker book is realism along with fun and steadfastedness to what has become the biker way of life. I hate it when the bikers start off hardcore and then change, while the women they find distort that biker life and make it unrealistic.
I love that Mrs. Prince and Ms. McCabe don't do that. I love that life remains true to the biker way and the characters are still lovable, likable, and creative.
But what I respect and love the most is that the authors have created a true melting pot in this town where one shouldn't exist. They don't make it obvious or overwhelming, they just...are.
There is brotherhood, sisterhood, community, and all encompassing love and acceptance without the need to point out the differences. They are just people, who are bikers and their families, and all are on equal footing.
With all that's happening in the world, I thank the authors for creating a world that we can escape to thats what I wish the real world could be.
This is book eight in The Steel MC Montana Charter Series and it is Topaz and Onyx's story. This is the first book that i have read by Michel Prince but not the last as i really loved this story and look forward to reading more of her books. There are twists and turns along with many difficult situations that have you turning the pages too see what will happen next. Topaz and Onyx have both had a difficult life and are damaged with a lot of baggage but they have chemistry between them but will they act on it or will it be too late with all the danger surrounding them. This book took you in right from the first page and i could not put it down as it was so well written and i recommend you read it and you will not be disappointed.

sarah topaz cardell had found love and lost love and living her life in limbo she rides with steel Mc Montana Charter Series. just existing not living. She knows she needs and wants something different in her life and she tries to change . Dallas onyx king an exLAPD officer that was left injured and now an amputee knew life wouldnt be easy in montana but gave it a shot. what he wasnt surprised about was that some people had an issue with him and that included topaz. One day onyx had enough of topaz animosity and had it out with her but they both had bigger problems because they were kidnapped and torture by white supermacist. Now topaz and Onyx had to put there differnces aside and find a common ground in order to live and escape. This book is full of angst! I was FURIOUS at the injustice in parts and completely overwhelmed with the feeling of family in other parts. Topaz, a stripper and manager at the The Roadside Bar that's owned by the Steel MC in Turnabout Creek, Montana and Onyx, an Enforcer for the Steel MC don't have an easy time of it to say the least. They're both shadowed with demons from their past and unfortunately current problems come their way too. They are dealing with a s*itstorm and don't have a clue how to get out of it. Topaz gives you ALL the feels and have you hoping all through the book that Onyx and Topaz get their HEA.
This 8th installment in the Steel MC Montana Chapter was beautiful!! The story was timeless, heartbreaking and joyful!! Topaz has been around a long time and is one of the Hoez. She has a tragic past and has never come to terms with it. Onyx is a broken man and wanting a new life in Montana with the MC. These 2 are attracted to each other, but just can’t seem to get it together. A horrible event brings them together and makes them realize they are sooooo much better together than apart. This book was absolutely breathtaking and yet another fantastic read in this MC world!!!
Topaz by WREN McCabe and Michel Prince Since I first “met” Topaz in book one of The Steel MC Montana chapter Roadkill, I’ve been waiting for Topaz’s story. From the beginning I knew she needed a story and does she get one. I have to say I love when authors don’t harp on a scene. They don’t add any extra angst or drama. There is just enough and the story moves along nicely. That’s what these authors do best. Just enough angst, turmoil and sprinkle in some romance and a great story emerges. Love Topaz and Onyx’s story. I was not disappointed.
Sarah and Dallas are tortured souls who are in the MC. Both have a dangerous past that when it pops up will make them realize how strong they really are. The storyline has drama, suspense, kidnapping, and some romance between these characters who are well developed and engaging.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Michel Prince; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.
