College student Haneji Kaoru is surprised when popular actor Aragaki Jin appears in his workplace. They were high school friends, but unable to cope with his deepening feelings for the playboy, Haneji cut all ties after graduation. But now that Aragaki has found him, he has no intention of letting Haneji go...
"If you say No it must secretly mean Yes, right? Come on, you aren't even fighting THAT hard against me!"
Seriously, fucking rape apologist mangas make me furious. Jin is an asshole of epic proportions, sleeping with Haneji, who is in love with him, and several other women because "they hit on [him]". Clearly a man can't possibly say NO to the devilish sexual advances of a woman! Woe him! Haneji is pathetic. Sorry, but there is nothing lovable about Jin and I don't understand why he loves him. The best decision he made in this story was breaking ties with Jin for good. This is how you handle abusive people! No, don't go back, Haneji! NOOOOO!
Jin's manager is also manipulative, forcing Haneji to "break up" with Jin and then visit Jin in the hospital and then forcing him to be with Jin, so that Jin is healthy enough to play his roles in dorama and movies. Manager-san says even "His health depends on you". Way to reinforce abusive red flags!
It's a well written and beautifully drawn yaoi one-shot manga, the complicated emotion experienced by the main characters is believable, the seme's change of heart and attitude by the ending part is also a nice touch. Read up, people!
Incredibly dramatic and soapy, but in a good way! The ANGST. The SECRETS. If a story about an actor who's too emotionally out of touch to realize he's been pining for his childhood best friend who mysteriously disappeared after graduation, essentially kidnaps said best friend once he finds him again and demands that he move in with him but continuously cheats on him because, again, out of touch with his own emotions, until his manager convinces the lover/best friend to ghost him again to protect his career leading him to COLLAPSE from EMOTIONAL DEVASTATION sounds too over-the-top for you... I mean, understandable. If it sounds like a delicious trope sundae with an angst cherry on top, you are CORRECT and it is DELIGHTFUL. The grovel scene is outstanding. If you're in it to see some incredibly macho alpha male brought low by the realization that he can't live without his beloved, enjoy the ride and know your final destination will bring you satisfaction.
I gave 3 stars only bcs I really liked the graphic, but i cant really understand how one person can go out finally with the man he loves, and still have sex with other women. I dont like them, for me the uke deserved a better partner and i really wished he had other experiences after their first time in high-school, bcs that asshole doesnt deserve to be the only one he had sex with, since the other for sure had his fun, while he was "searching for him, the one he loves"... wtf....
