Only giving this 3 stars out of respect for the first part of the book because honestly...the book is just bad.
(Mild spoilers ahead, nothing really specific)
Positive points: the story started off well. King's character is very well portrayed and the initial idea of him and Ram starting to get closer and closer is really cute and nice to read. The author protrayed this part well and the story up until Ram realizes he has feelings for King is very entertaining. I also laughed a lot at the beginning, the author wrote some really funny bits.
Negative points: the writing, Ram's character and the ending.
I'll begin with the writing. It's bad. I honestly don't know how such amateur writing got published. I've only read a translation but I don't think this is a translation issue. The story skips parts all the time. There is no beginning nor end to a part. One paragraph describes them being in a place and in the other they're in a completely different setting and 3 days have passed. No warning whatsoever, no context, nothing. You kind of just have to guess everything that is happening because the author doesn't write it! The dialogues are also confusing, you have to guess most of the times who's talking because it's not written! The switching points of view are also a bit confusing. The writing style as a whole is honestly a mess.
Now about Ram's character: what the hell?! In the first part of the book his character is very solid and everything he does makes sense. But from the moment he realizes he has feelings for King...that's when it goes crazy. His character completely changes. Everything he does stops making sense. Nothing matches his personality anymore. He becomes a real asshole for the stupidest reason! And what's the reason, you might ask? The sake of drama, of course. The author completely ruined his character and what for? A 5-chapter drama section. Yes, that's exactly it. Thanks, no one liked it, it was not needed and it didn't even make sense in the first place.
This leads me to the next point: the ending. In chapter 29, the author managed to fix a little of the mess she made with Ram's sudden personality change and all seemed to be ending in good terms. It could have ended like that honestly. It would have been a better ending. But on chapter 30 she thought "nope, I still haven't ruined him enough for everyone, gotta do worse!". And she did. I won't say exactly what happens but it's bad, has no logic behind it and apparently the author doesn't know how cars work. What started as a really honest and sweet relationship...just went down the pipe. Also, who ends a novel with "haha!"? Really disappointing.

La verdad es que no estaba muy segura de leer este libro, no había podido encontrar todos lo que siguen a esta saga por lo que algunas historias no iba a poder conocerlas, pero el haberle dado una oportunidad es algo que me ha encantado, había escuchado reseñas impares, tanto negativas como positivas, pero en mi opinión la historia me ha gustado. Tanto King como Ram son personajes bastante reales, con sus complicaciones y dilemas, y si bien conocía parte de la misma por al serie que se emitió, la continuación me permitió profundizar la historia, se acerca bastante al cliché de rivals to lovers, pero con el tiempo vemos como la amistad entre ambos se construye, como la confianza da paso a los primeros indicios del amor, como esta relevación juega con sus mentes y posteriormente toman sus decisiones, y finalmente como deciden construir una vida juntos.

Un gran libro con grandes personajes y una historia muy bella. Lástima que la autora no sea considerada con las fans internacionales que tanto apoyan sus libros. Lamentablemente en está ocasión no puedo separar a la obra de su autor.

Tengo muchas emociones con este libro. Y es que, se estaba convirtiendo en el libro perfecto. La historia perfecta, con la pareja de 10, pero... ese capitulo. ¡Ese capitulo!
En esta historia tenemos a P'King, un hermoso estudiante de Ingeniería, ¡que me encanta! Y esta Ram, su silencioso Nong, que si bien es tan callado, tiene muchos pensamientos, y King sabe leerlo muy bien.
King ha sido un personaje tan diferente, y tiene unas características que hicieron que amara su personaje; su amor por las plantas, el querer siempre estar cerca de la naturaleza, su temor por los perros pero ama a sus gigantes favoritos, lo chillón y mimoso que puede ser. Es simplemente adorable.
Después, esta Ram, que es todo lo contrario; muy callado, reservado, ama a los perros, y no demuestra muchos sentimientos.
Tenía mucha curiosidad en como se desarrollaba esta pareja en el libro, y quede tan enamorada con todas sus interacciones entre ellos, y a los demás. Como la insistencia de King a Ram los fue uniendo. Los problemas que tuvo su Ai'Ning y, P'King siempre estuvo ahí, sus platicas, sus mini peleas, esos miles de golpes en la cabeza de King. ¡Alguien protéjalo, y aléjenlo de los arboles!
Pero... ¡¿Por qué?! Hubo un cambio tan drastico en el personaje de Ram, a unos pocos capítulos del final que hicieron que casi lo odiara. ¡No era necesario! No era necesaria esa parte de la historia, y dejando fuera todos esos sucesos, estuvo bastante bien.
Me gusto tanto que, no quería que se acabara. Es un buen libro para pasar el rato, es fácil de leer y llevar el hilo de la historia con todos los personajes que tiene este libro.
