I love when I read a book and it makes me want to read everything that author has written. This is the first book I've read from Jennifer Hanks and it will not be my last. I want to devour her backlist and learn more about the characters who are secondary to the couple in My Salvation. Romantic suspense is my favorite genre and Ms. Hanks does it well. She leads the reader down one path, while totally blindsiding them with the real threat.
Nick Collins has been drawn to Maddie Hughes since day one, and she's felt the same. But working undercover means not putting yourself into a relationship where those you care for can be used against you. He's on a personal mission, which happens to align with his FBI assignment, but he can't put Maddie out of his mind. When he can, he follows her just to see her and know she's safe before he slips away again. Until one night, she confronts him and they give into their passion, only for him to disappear for two long years.
Coming home to New Hope, after quitting the FBI, Nick faces the hardest mission of his life: win back Maddie and claim his son. He faces a lot of obstacles, but his new job at Elite Securities will keep him in Maddie's inner circle, and they have a chemistry that neither of them can deny. However, her father might take even more convincing than Maddie that Nick is back for good. Maddie's lived in relative seclusion from her friends because one look at her son and they would all know Nick is his father. What follows in the story is the reclaiming of each of their lives and a life together. Long held secrets are shared, ghosts are laid to rest, but danger is still lurking.
This story has all the feels: revenge, guilt, fear, anger, longing, passion, and love. Ms. Hanks' characters are well developed and realistic. Their emotions and reactions to the events in their lives are true to life and the interactions between all the characters makes them feel like old friends. The sexual tension between Maddie and Nick is palpable and their times together are HOT.
This is the second book in the Elite Securities series and can be read as a standalone. However, if you're like me, once you read My Salvation you will want more of Ms. Hanks' characters and want to read more. Grab a comfy chair, take a load off and read this book.

After reading My Redemption, I waited patiently for the Nick's story and I must say, I was not disappointed.
It was worth the wait. I loved how it started with us going back to the previous book. I loved Maddie and Nick.
It's a story of brotherhood, family, friends, love and community.
Nick and Maddie were clearly made for each other. His love and protection over her was felt through each page I read. The story of how their friends are always there supporting them, no matter what. I can see that this is a series that's just going to get better with each story that comes along.
I can't wait for Striker's story...

My Salvation by Jennifer Hanks is book Two in the Elite Securities Series. This is the story of Nick Collins and Madeline Hughes. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment of this one, but I do feel you could make it a standalone book if you really wanted too. Nick was a FBI agent who had been working undercover which kept him from moving forward on the feelings he had toward Madeline. But now things are coming to ahead where he can't seem to stop his feelings and staying in the background in her life. Ms. Hanks is a wonderful author whose books are a must read. They bring you through a lot of emotions which just make you feel a part of her stories. Loved it.

This story has been brewing for a LONG time - ever since Jennifer Hanks's second release, Sydney.
Throughout her other stories we've gotten small glimpses here and there of Nick and Maddie but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, prepared me for this!
My Salvation was beautifully written with lots of surprises - for both new readers and those that have been following along the whole time. The surprises just kept popping up just when I didn't think she could add any more to this story.
Nick has been working undercover and was so far in that those close to him worried that he wouldn't make it out alive and if he did, he would be a completely changed man.
Maddie has had to go on with her life and life has also changed her.
Now that Nick is out, is there anything left for them to build back on?
I love all of Jennifer Hanks's stories but I do believe this has jumped to the top as far as my favorite - and it didn't even have my favorite character in it! The way she wrote this story and handled these two was unbelievably brilliant.
While this can definitely be read as a standalone and still be appreciated for the twists and turns the author included, the readers who have read all of her stories will get a gigantic shock or two more.
There is also another storm brewing in the background of this story and I am here for it! I can't wait for Striker's story!
If you like small town romance mixed with with suspense, this is your book. I haven't read a bad story by her yet.

I had the honor of being a beta reader for this book and was stunned by it then. Jennifer Hanks knows how to suck you into her stories and make you love her characters. Nick and Maddie don't have the easiest history, but it was amazing seeing them find each other again.
My Salvation is such a good second chance romance. It was clear they belonged together and Nick is not the type to give up. This book is the perfect balance of suspense, humor, romance, friendship and love. I don't want to say too much, because this really is a story you need to experience for yourself.
What I loved was also seeing characters I've come to love from other series written by Jennifer. And all of the new characters we met, I need stories from all of them! If you haven't tried any books by Jennifer Hanks yet, I really recommend you do soon.

This book was intense. Once I stared I couldn't stop and before I know it, it was 2am and I’ve finished one amazing book.
I loved the battle that Nick fought with trying to prove his was the right man for her. I could understand her walls because he'd hurt her bad. But I loved the fact that she saw he was doing everything he could to win her and her trust back. And I love the men and women that are involved in this series. It really shows how family is supposed to be.
Now I'll end this review by saying that If I ever wanted to read a book like I want to read the next one in this series I’m not sure I can find it. I can’t wait to see Striker fighting for his HEA. Bring it on!!!

Now this was a lovely read. Sweet and adorable as hell, action packed, and steamier than a sauna in the humid summer weather. A few WOW moments that had me going. Filled with second chances, retribution, revenge, taking chances and making amends. Loved it. Can't wait for what is next. Plus I have to go to that cafe...the coffee REALLY does sound good.

Nick is an FBI agent that is trying to wrap up one of the most difficult undercover operations of his career, all while thinking of the woman he left behind. Maddie is a coffee shop owner and single mom that has given up on Nick ever coming home, but still holds him close to her heart. When they come face to face again, Nick quickly realizes that it will take a miracle to win her back, but now that his career with the FBI is over, earning her forgiveness is the only thing that matters to him.
I am so in love with this series already! Jennifer Hanks easily crept her way into my heart and soul with her DiMarco series, so when I found out about it’s spin-off, Elite Securities, I knew that I would love it, and I was right. If you have read any of her previous books then you are already familiar with Nick and Maddie, although I felt like I knew much more about Nick than Maddie. Prepare to adore these characters! Their chemistry is off the charts, Maddie is just a cool chick – plain and simple – dealing with life with a smile on her face, and Nick is full of charisma despite his demons that he has been battling for years.
Without giving spoilers, I will say I struggled with Nick’s reasoning for several decisions he made in regards to Maddie, but it didn’t impact how much I loved this book. There’s romance, sexy scenes, suspense, action, and everything in between. Jennifer Hanks is without a doubt one of my favorite writers and she continues to blow my mind with her fast-moving plots and her amazing ability to create the most relatable characters on earth. Every time that I read one of her novels, I realize that I want to live in their town and know all of of these people! If only they were real… I highly recommend My Salvation. Even if you haven’t read the DiMarco series, you can still enjoy this one. But if you do go back and start with the DiMarcos, you certainly will not regret it!

He’s been deep undercover for a while now with one goal in mind. Take down the The Black Widows MC, especially the president of the national chapter. Nick Collins is determined to destroy The Black Widows MC because they are a ruthless, dangerous, and twisted MC. After being undercover for so long, he is now the right-hand man of the president of the North Carolina chapter and has gained quite the intel on the MC and the inner workings. He is tired of being in this life and undercover and is ready to regain his life and fix the damage he caused with the woman he can’t seem to get out of his mind or his heart.
Madeline Hughes has been interested in Nick Collins since she first laid eyes on him. She was lucky enough to get one night with him and after the way he left her and ignored her contact after that night, she is trying to move on, but she can’t seem to get past her feelings for him, no matter how hard she tries. She also has a constant reminder of him, so that doesn’t help her moving on either.
I really enjoyed this story. It is action packed and has wonderful characters. These two have a lot of baggage to overcome to find their peace and reconnect to move on together. Nick is constantly in danger and even when he gets out of the undercover assignment, he is still worried about retribution, but he will find that it will come from an unlikely angle. Nick was trying to keep Madeline out of danger from the MC, but in doing so, he missed the danger lurking right in front of both of them.
If you like MC, police procedural, dangerous men, and women with a lot of sass and strength, you will enjoy this story. Madeline has a strength that even she doesn’t realize at times and the men around her are even in awe of her strength and determination. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to the next book in the Elite Securities Series.

Thoroughly enjoyable story that is heart-felt and endearing.

Will Maddie forgive him or forget him?
An incredible story!! This heart-felt story takes you through the highs and lows, and boy there are a lot of lows in Nick‘s life. Enough to convince himself he isn’t worthy. When he’s spent as much time with bottom dwellers, he begins to think he’s one too.
Nick knows knew he broke Maddie’s heart and her trust. But he refuses to give up. He’ll do whatever it takes to regain her trust and convince her to give him a chance. Maddie captured his heart the first time he saw her and she’s held it ever since Now he just has make her believe it.
“You kept me alive in there, Maddie. Only you. I lived to come back to you.”
OMG!! Swoon!!!
After seeing Nick again, despite all warnings, can Maddie ignore the magnetic pull that refuses to recognize her aching, damaged heart?
Another great story in the series!! The author writes characters with such connection to each other it truly is a family. I can’t ever seem to get enough of the Dimarcos!

Those of you who’ve read her amazing Dimarco Series will no doubt be familiar with Nick and his circumstances to an extent, now we get to know about the man, where he’s been and why he’s been doing what he’s doing. Our suspicions regarding his relationship and feelings towards Maddie, his one true weakness are once and for all revealed, now with their secret revealed to their friends and family they can begin to move forward, or can they? Will ghosts from Nicks not so recent past come back to haunt him, putting those he loves the most in danger? Only time will tell.
Brace yourselves folks of New Hope town Nick Collins is back and this time he’s ready to prove himself worthy and take part in the mission of all missions, he wants his life back, his home back but most of all he wants his family back. Watch out Madeline Hughes, Nick’s coming for all that belongs to him, including you.

Nick and Maddie are absolutely PERFECT!! I seriously love this story so much!! When we first met Nick and Maddie in Lucy, I had no idea I would fall so hard for them, but this is absolutely one of my favorites from Jennifer Hanks! It really has it all - amazing love story, fantastic characters, suspense, and an HEA that tied it all together perfectly!
Second chance stories can be really hard to pull off well. I’m a total grudge holder, and if the author isn’t able to convince me the couple can really make it work the second time around, I’m left yelling, “Just move on!” However, that wasn’t the case with this book at all. I loved that Nick knew exactly how much he needed to make everything up to Maddie, and Maddie made him work to earn her trust back, but I could also see why Nick made the choices he did in the beginning. I absolutely loved that he was a protector through and through from the very beginning!
Not only did I love Nick and Maddie, I absolutely loved getting to know all of the Elite boys even better. They all have fantastic stories, and I can’t wait to dive in with each and every one of them. I loved seeing Pike and the Dimarcos more as well. I love the overlap in all of Jennifer’s series, because I really never want to say goodbye to any of them! This is definitely a book you don’t want to miss!

I've only read a couple of Jennifer Hanks' books, and with romantic suspense being my jam, I cannot figure out why I haven't read everything she ever released! Of course now, I'm absolutely going to because she does my favorite genre brilliantly for real with twists that are so shocking that I can't figure crap out whatsoever. This is the 2nd book in this series and is Nick and Maddie’s story. Nick is working undercover for the FBI, but he is driven with the need for vengeance, and his only weakness is Maddie. The chemistry between these two is explosive, and now after being apart for 2-years, Nick has left the FBI and is returning to claim back his Maddie and his son. There are many obstacles along the way for this couple, and I loved how supportive the secondary characters were. This is a well written tale which is filled with secrets, suspense, danger, twists, passion, surprises, guilt, revenge, anger, fear, and love. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I recommend.

Nick and Maddie's story is well worth the wait we went through to get. We've had a build up of their story through out other Jennifer Hank's books, but don't worry, you don't need to read those in order to read this book. Maddie is protecting herself and others, but when Nick comes back he crashes her walls down and shows her he's the real deal. Nick battles his demons before coming back, knowing that he has to protect Maddie even though it kills him to stay way. I love the dynamics between all the Elite guys, and of course you get glimpses of some of the Dimarcos through this book. And the end is a great set up for Stryker's book, and I can't wait for it!

Jennifer Hanks has quickly became one of my favorite authors and this book does not disappoint. I absolutely love Nick and Maddie. From the first moment the saw each other many books earlier until the last page of this book you see that they are truly made for one another. I would highly recommend My Salvation and all books written by Ms. Hanks
I know Striker’s book is next in the Elite series and while I’m so excited for it I kind of wish Mila’s book was next...... but I guess I will just have to wait patiently for it.

Absolutely fantastic
Hooked from page one and read nonstop cover to cover. I knew Nick’s story would be a great one and I was right. Nick had a secret and I couldn’t wait to find out what was driving him but little did I know Maddie had one too. I love a story with twists and turns and moments that I didn’t predict. Jennifer Hanks creates characters that feel so real it’s as if you know them. I truly love this series and there are so many more stories I want.

Love Nick
I feel like I have beeng waiting forever for Nick's book. This book sucked me in and held my attention through the whole thing. I love how all the series are interwoven together. It is nice to visit old friends and make new ones. Nick and Maddie were amazing together but my favorite thing about this book is the relationship between the Elite team members. Can't wait for more!!!

This can be read as a standalone but you will understand all the other characters a lot more if you've read Jennifer's other books as this is a spin off series. Great action, suspense, mystery and some sizzling romance. Great story and I look forward to the next book.

I liked how many twists and turns were in this story! I felt like it always kept me on the edge of my seat! I wish the blurb wasn’t so descriptive but then again I also wish I wouldn’t have read it and just gone in blind. I’m looking forward to the next installment of this series!

I LOVED Nick and Maddie! After being undercover and separated, Nick is back to claim whats his! I am inhaling these books by Jennifer Hanks. Her storytelling and characters are just what I love when I pick up a book. Broody protective men who have eyes only for their women. Im hooked!

Jennifer Hanks is automatically a one-click author. She has expanded her Dimarco world, and what a world it is. We first met Nick Collins and Madeleine Hughes in Cam and Sydney's story, and honestly couldn't wait to see what direction it went. We saw Nick taking this assignment that was extremely personal to him, but didn't know why, and the why...WOW, didn't see that one coming at all. The love between Nick and Maddie, the fear that Maddie feels about him and her feelings for him, the words on the page paint this amazing broken story that draws you in completely. Not giving anything away, but some of the reveals/revelations in the book I didn't expect, but they were worth every second of this book. This is the second book in the Elite Securities Series, but you do not have to read book one, although you should, as it is a standalone. And if you haven't read the Dimarco series or the Sinners MC yet, please do, you will NOT be disappointed.
