**A read for students, educators and employers** The world of recruiting is tough. Finding a job for the first time can be even tougher. Set a few years after the pandemic of 2020, the world of work has changed. And so have people. This internship story follows two college students - Rachel and Jack - on their search to find meaningful post-graduation experiences that not only pay the bills, but also fit into their new lifestyle. At the same time, follow along with recruiters at Eclipse, a consulting and branding company, as they look to acquire talent and rebuild their stalled internship program. This book mixes career and professional development practices through a fictitious, yet relatable story. From here, moments of discourse, reflection and empathy of a shared human experience arises through a book club-like discussion section geared specifically for students, educators and recruiters.
A wonderful fictitious depiction of what it could be like when we are post-Covid. Between the job searching, social interactions, and the hunt for a new career (when our original life plan becomes obsolete) this book puts it all into perspective. So many unknowns in the world, but it was a nice change to read something so relevant in today’s society.
