I enjoyed this book. This is the second book in this series that I have listened to and found entertaining.. Yes I know it is book five but having missed the others I can say that you don't need to read or listen to them in order to enjoy. That doesn't mean that I won't be adding the rest to my collection because I will. I liked the main character Georgia Rae Winston and the rest of quirky characters who at times were amusing. Of course there was a love interest (triangle) that you would expect from any good cozy mystery but it didn't detract from the mystery at all. The mystery its self was interesting and kept me guessing, with all the twist on the plot I never saw the reason why until it was revealed. The writing was well done and captivating, even a round of golf sounded fun. I love it when women get one over domineering men but I even came to like him by the end of the book.
Georgia Rae needs a holiday, a chance to think about what she wants out of her relationship with her boyfriend, so she goes to visit her friend Laura’s lake house. Before she can do more than dip her big toe in the water she finds a body. It's not long after the body is identified, that her reputation is uncovered and Laura's neighbour is asking her to investigate because she is afraid her son will be the number one suspect. Quicker than her ice cream can melt she uncovers a number of suspects all with connections to each other and boats. Can Georgia find the killer or will the killer find her? Because a lot more is going on than bad maintenance on boats and family ties.
I like the narrator. She has a pleasant voice that she uses well to give each character there own unique voice.

Georgia Rae Winston is ready for a vacation. Ready to relax and unwind at her friend’s lake house. However, not long after she arrives, she discovers a body in the water and is thrust into yet another mystery. The suspects quickly add up like a game of Clue and she doesn’t know who she can trust.

Plus, when her boyfriend arrives for a visit and announces he wants to go into acting more permanently, she’s left wondering if they have a future together.

Can Georgia stay alive long enough to solve the mystery and figure out her love life?

Marissa Shrock does it again with Deadly Hideaway—book 5 of the Georgia Rae Winston Mysteries! I loved this story from page one. The author has such a great voice. It pulls you in from the very beginning. I love all the “rules” Georgia quotes throughout. So refreshing.
The imagery used was effective. I could see myself in the boat with Georgia and in other areas on her vacation while she played detective.

I loved the way book five ended. I think Georgia will be very happy! However, we’ll see what happens in the next installment of the Georgia Rae Winston Mystery Series. I will be waiting!

I give Deadly Hideaway five motorboats. This excellent mystery will keep you guessing right to the very end!

The story has so many twist and turns it keeps you guessing until the end. I loved the action scene with the murder, it was so well done! This book has you laughing and even gives you ah ha moments that leaves you THINKING you have it figured out. Georgia’s love life is about to take a huge turn, an added bonus. I’m infatuated with these books, you will be addicted!

The body in the lake.
Georgia has helped the police in the past, so she continues to do so while on vacation at the home of an old school friend when she bumps up against a body while waterskiing. The sleuthing is good, the characters often are, and the imagery is exceptionally well done. I really enjoyed this clean contemporary romance/mystery narrated by the incomparable Jennifer Jill Araya.

This a was truly twisted mystery murder. I couldn’t figure out as I was reading. I never guessed who the murder was. And the motive was moving. Sad that so much heart ache should happen because of one innocent life.
Georgia Life also takes a turn for the better. I loved the character development for her. And I’m sooo happy at the ending!!!
A great book in the deadly mystery series!! I highly recommend!

Georgia on my mind

I just adore this spectacular series from Melissa Shrock. Georgia Rae is witty, intelligent and as fun as your best friend. She just stumbles into crazy investigations as a hobby.

This one was different from the others.....it was in a different town, and the regular characters were not in it, though Cal did make an appearance. And it was another great read from this author I just discovered
