THE BRATVA'S BABY--THE BRATVA'S BRIDE--THE BRATVA'S CAPTIVE

The Bratva's Baby: A Dark Mafia Romance (Wicked Doms)
SOMETHING DANGEROUS—POWERFUL—MESMERIZING

Once again, Ms. Jane Henry has spun a tale that had me captivated and intrigued as the story unfolds. Not everything is as simple as it seems. Intel will have Kazimir with orders to stalk Sadie—what starts as simple encounters, becomes a dinner that leads to an abduction. Now Sadie is held captive by Kazimir.

What a roller-coaster ride of intense action, mystery, suspense, angst, and discoveries. Sadie is a very unassuming woman, dresses so bland to stay hidden that her absence may go unnoticed at first. Kazimir is a handsome and commanding man, one that turns woman’s heads, and not easy to forget. When he asks Sadie to dinner, she is confused but he charms her into going, and that is where this story takes off.

Abducted—kidnapped—and held prisoner, Sadie is so confused, she was a foster kid, has no family, no friends, struggles to make ends meet, so why her? Kazimir has a job to do and orders to follow. If he can train Sadie along the way, that is a bonus—but what he wasn’t counting on was developing feelings for her.

“I do not demand your trust. I demand your compliance.”

The story is a fast-paced, action-pack romantic suspense. It has the good, the bad, and the ugly with life and death situations. Sadie is an innocent virgin who has never been kissed, dated, and when it comes to sex, is very naïve. Kazimir is a jaded man who has used and broken so many women training them that when he is with Sadie, she offers so much innocence and first experiences and he is the one to fulfill them. That doesn’t mean he goes easy on her, she will be punished, spanked, and used, against her will at first, but will acquiesce quickly.
What happens when things don’t work out as the Bratva expected? Is Sadie now a pawn that is no longer needed? What will happen between her and Kazimir? The story does have explicit sex scenes. It does end with a complete ending.

The Bratva's Bride: A Dark Mafia Romance (Wicked Doms)
FULLY CULPABLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS

Once again, Ms. Jane Henry has spun a tale that had me captivated and intrigued as the story unfolds. Not everything is as simple as it seems and the twists and turns along the way will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The story will be about two strangers who will come together when they are caught up in a case of theft—stealing from the Bratva can be deadly. Calina Brague will become the prisoner, property, and pawn of Demyan Federov. How far will Demyan be willing to go to make her pay for her sins?

“Maybe I can use Calina to gain the respect of my peers and associates. Outward, my wife, while she suits my purposes. Behind closed doors, my captive.”

What a roller-coaster ride of intense action, mystery, suspense, angst, and discoveries. A true case of ‘the sins of the father falling on his children’ will have the pages turning as the tale unfolds.

“So now I pay. And part of me wonders if this was always meant to be. That someday, I would pay for the sins my father committed. If some day, I would have to right his wrongs.”

The plot will have Demyan ordering the kidnapping of Calina for stealing money from him and the brotherhood. He will have her locked in a small room, punished, and used for his pleasure. There is no trial for her crimes, she is guilty, and he is judge, jury, and executioner. What he says is the final word. Treating her like a whore to work off what she owes is part of demeaning her for what she has done.

“You’ll have a servant to take care of your needs, but there will be no other luxuries unless I grant them. You’re my prisoner and whore here, Calina. Make sure you understand that. Make no mistake. A gilded cage this might be, but you are caged.”

“I get it,” I say softly, looking away from him. Don’t rock the boat. Don’t push the boundaries. Do as you’re told.”

The story is a fast-paced, action-pack romantic suspense. It has the good, the bad, and the ugly with life and death situations. What happens when things don’t work out as the Demyan expected? Is Calina expendable, now a pawn that is no longer needed? What will happen between her and Demyan? When his best man, Maksym, is kidnapped and brutalized, is this now war and how will that impact them? The story does have explicit sex scenes, along with punishments. It does not end on a cliff-hanger but with the belief that more stories are to come.

“My life is not mine to live anymore. I’ve given myself over to the Bratva—and there are worse things he could do to me than marry me. And the reality is—could I even stop it if I wanted to?”

“Will I do what it takes for me to learn my place in the brotherhood?”

The Bratva's Captive: A Dark Mafia Romance (Wicked Doms)
TRUE FEELINGS ARE BORN OF FREEDOM—NOT CAPTIVITY

Once again, Ms. Jane Henry has spun a tale that had me captivated and intrigued as the story unfolds. Not everything is as simple as it seems and the twists and turns along the way will keep you on the edge of your seat. While the story will read well as a stand-alone, it comes soon after the release of Maksym, held captive and tortured by The Thieves, from The Bratva Bride. Now, Maksym is ready to retaliate, and Yuri Baranova’s daughter, Olena will become his captive—she will pay the price for the murder of his Taya.

With the rescue of Maksym from The Thieves comes physical healing but emotional scars are buried deep, leading to nightmares of his captivity, the brutality of his imprisonment, the beatings, and broken bones. But news of Taya will be his breaking point.

“The worst of a prisoner’s punishment is that even after he’s free, his subconscious holds him prisoner.”

Olena Baranova has gone from prison, made by her father, to a new one, by his enemy. She is no more than a pawn to be played—and what happens during the game is what terrifies her. After the death of her mother, her father moves her from America back to Russia, but she has no freedom. She knows what her father is, and she hates him for it. Now she will be paraded before her father’s enemy, only guessing what her fate may be. “We are at war, and this room is the frontline.”

“I’m held captive with a man who’s both terrifying and powerful. There is no freedom for me. I’m what I always have been and always will be: collateral. Nothing more and nothing less.”

When assassination attempts are made on Olena’s life inside Demya’s compound, they know they must get Olena and Maksym out, and only Demya knows where they will go. But what happens when they are attacked there, too? Who is the enemy? Is there a traitor amongst them? Will Maksym be able to keep his focus on why he has Olena?

“We’re in a dangerous place. There is no safety here, even the companionship with one another is but an illusion. I cannot love her, and she cannot love me. Star-crossed lovers, as it were. Our fate has long ago been sealed.”

The story is an enemies-to-lovers tale that has the innocent, the Bratva, and a battle of control that must be fought. It will bring two people together by fate and compassion and reunite them during a power struggle, retaliation, retribution, and revenge. It is a fast-paced, action-packed, page-turning adventure with life and death, power and control, love and hate, and passion. Maksym’s loyalty is to the Brotherhood, to Demyan, and to Taya. What he can’t let happen is any feelings for Olena, she is just a means to the end—or is she? Is it time to let the past be laid to rest and start a new life, and maybe find happiness? The story does have punishments and explicit sex scenes.

“For despite our sordid pasts and twisted union, Olena Baranova is mine. She is meant to be with me. Yesterday, today, forever, and I will never take that for granted.”

“You listen to me,” I tell her. “Our pasts have formed who we are, but we aren’t slaves to them. Our pasts will not determine our future. We will.”

King's Ransom: A Dark Bratva Romance (Ruthless Doms)
IF YOU WIN HIS HEART, HE WILL DEVOTE HIMSELF TO YOU

While the story will read well as a stand-alone, it is a great addition to the other Bratva books in the Ruthless Doms series. Pakhan Stefan is a man of great respect in the brotherhood, both in America and Russia. But what happens when his housekeeper is found somewhere she shouldn’t have been—witnessing something she should have never seen? Now, he must make the harsh choice of what happens to her—live or die? But for now, she is his prisoner.

“My relationship with Taara—that of boss and paid staff—has forever changed. I’m not sure if I believe her. I’m not sure what will happen next. But until I do, she’ll remain my prisoner.”

The plot will begin with Taara outside in the early morning, taking pictures of flowers, but witnessing an execution and being caught in the act. That is grounds for her to be executed to protect the brotherhood—but Stefan is willing to try and learn more about Taara? Can he convince the others that she is his prisoner and he will make the final decision?

“I want to weep for the loss of the man I loved because this man is one that I’ll never love again.” –Taara

For years, Taara’s mother was the housekeeper for Stefan, but Hesther has dementia and is now in a nursing home and under the care of the Bratva, and Taara has taken over her mother’s position. She watches Stefan from afar, with love and admiration—but he doesn’t even notice her—or so she thinks. But now she has his attention, and it isn’t in a good way. Will some of the other Bratva women offer her sound advice?

“The women of the Bratva stand together. Always. But we do so in a way that strengthens all of us—out entire extended family. We do not seek to change who they are, what they stand for, or what they do. But we can join in solidarity together as one, for those times when we need to withstand the tempest, as it were.”

Questionable and worrisome things are going down in the America Bratva, and it has the others very concerned. Stefan will take Taara aboard a luxury ship, and she will pose as his slave—but the stakes are high, the danger is real—and this is no game.

“I don’t know what will happen to us next. But I do know that if I’m honest? I’m not devastated about being Taara’s master and having her by my side as my slave. The knowledge that I’m going to enjoy this may be the very thing I fear the most in any of this.”

I loved the chemistry between Stefan and Taara, and it turns when he calls her baby girl and she calls him Daddy---is this what each of them needs? Can they make this work?

“Shh, baby,” he says. “Let’s not question this. Let’s not wonder what’s happening or what will happen next. Let’s enjoy this little bit of peace, hmm?”

The story will take on life and death danger, have many intense scenes, but it also has a beautiful relationship developing between Stefan and Taara. She may be the key to solving the mystery—but how can he let her place herself in danger—knowing the stakes are high. What happens after their time in Moscow—and when they return to the states, and she learns her mother’s life hangs in the balance? Has this all be just a game—has she been a pawn for the Bratva and Stefan?

“Before Moscow, I was his captive. His prisoner. Before that, his housekeeper. What am I know?”

The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Bratva life. The loyalty of the brotherhood, but also those who are traitors. It is a life of danger, and for Stefan, it is always one with uncertainty. What will come of him and Taara? Is there a future for them?

“As the season of life come and go, an ever-changing landscape, new life comes in the spring. And with it, a new beginning.”

3 stories - 1st had issues, but loved the 2nd and 3rd

This book includes all three stories in the Wicked Doms series by Jane Henry. Each can be purchased separately and are stand-alone stories that can be read in any order, but for continuity and better enjoyment, I suggest you read them in order. Below is a brief, summarized review of each story. For a full, more detailed review, check out my reviews under each individual book title.

THE BRATVA'S BABY - Book #1: Kazimir & Sadie's story. Sadie is an orphan with no family, shy and with little or no friends. The Bratva believes she is the missing heir of a wealthy man who passed. Kazimir's mission is to marry the girl, get his name on her inheritance, then he can get rid of her. The beginning is great, he's intriged by her and starts out trying to gain her trust and woo her, but circumstances require him to return to Russia sooner than planned so he kidnaps her. Here's where the story falls apart for me. Once in Russia, he becomes hard, cold and stern, as if he is trying to prove to his compatriots that he's a big, bad man. I found it hard to believe that a shy, innocent who trusts no one, would fall for a man who treated her as he did once in Russia. Towards the end he reverts to how he was with her back in the states and the story becomes believable again. Loved the beginning and the end; did not care for most of the middle. FYI...the baby has little bearing on this story. 3.75 stars.

THE BRATVA'S BRIDE - Book #2: Demyan & Larissa's story. Demyan, Pakhan, has discovered that someone hacked into their accounts and stolen over a million dollars. The culprit has been traced to a mental health facility. Larissa's twin sister is broken since their parents death. Larissa has kept her hidden in the facility letting everyone believe she herself was the only survivor and that her sister died with their parents in the accident. After discovering what her sister has done, she vows to protect her, even if it means her own death. When Demyan comes, she hides her sister and takes her place. But instead of killing her, Demyan wants to make her pay back what was stolen. He will keep her captive and use her, paying monies for services which will be applied to her debt. If she disobeys, or refuses his demands, she is punished and earns nothing. But Demyan soon begins to realize she's not the mental misfit she tries to portray. Attraction begins to grow, but there is danger afoot. When a trusted friend who helped her hide her sister, discovers a dangerous politico that he has ties with, wants Larissa for himself, he gives up her twin in an effort to save Larissa. Now she must rely on Demyan to save her sister. Loved the play between these two. The slow discovery of the truth about the theft and Larssa is well written and believable. 5 stars.

THE BRATVA'S CAPTIVE - Book #3: Maksym & Olena's story. Maksym is a broken and scarred man for many reasons. Revenge and Vengeance have him rethinking his stance on refusing to use or harm innocents and women. Olena is the innocent daughter of the man he seeks vengeance on. Since being brought to Russia to live with her father after her mothers death, Olena has witnessed too much violence and cruelty and has no love for her father now. After being taken by Maksym, who intends to use her to draw her father out, she begins to see him as a means to escape her father. Maksym finds himself attracted to Olena, her strength, how she stands up to him, how she handles his rougher side, unlike his estranged, deceased wife, who he always had to be so gentle with and hide his other side. He struggles with his loyalty to his murdered wife, his growing feelings towards Olena and his need for vengeance. Traitors in their midst, an attempt on Olena's life and her father coming for her all add to the danger and excitement. Does Olena really care for him, or is she just playing him? Definitely a page turner. 5 stars.

1. Bratva's Baby
This new Dom series by Jane Henry is darker than I've read from her before, but OMG is it amazing!!! There's dubious consent in the beginning but as only Jane Henry can do, she's built a strong, loving, and sexual relationship between Kazimir and Sadie that will absolutely take your breath away. Can you fall in love with a bad guy? Let Jane Henry show you how. This is probably one of her best books to date in my opinion. Great job!

2. The Bratva's Bride
Jane Henry has done it again with "The Bratva's Bride." We get to meet another Dom and an intriguing twist to the way this plays out. Against the odds and contrary to what is supposed to happen, there are strong emotions involved with this pair. Once again, I find myself falling in love with the bad guy!?! I thought "Bratva's Baby" was her best book to date when it came out, but now I see, this is going to be a series that blows everything out of the running. What a terrific find!

3. The Bratva's Captive
When we meet Maksym he's been captured and is being tortured for answers he refuses to give. By the time the Bratva locate and release him, he's severely broken in several places and, like during his capture, refuses to speak. It's decided he will go to America and stay with the former brigadier of the brotherhood and his family in order to fully heal. While recuperating, his entire world changes again. Jane Henry has taken this third book of the "Wicked Doms" series to a whole new emotional level with twists and turns, emotional upheaval, and a VERY strong Dom. It just seems like each one has become better than the last.

Wicked Doms series

Very hot, dominant, alpha males in these 3 books. All 3 books are great. Lots of steam & BDSM. If that’s not your thing these books aren’t for you. All 3 heroines have different personalities. Larissa is the only one who’s really feisty & she’s a perfect fit for Demyan. All 3 couples are great, but Maksym & Olena have the most obstacles to overcome. All 3 stories have a HEA.

well written, complex characters, engaging stories

These stories are filled with men built like Greek gods, women so beautiful they should be supermodels (though they don’t often see themselves that way), danger, conflict, and a stubborn refusal to accept the love they see in front of them-on both sides. Ahhh, but a satisfying HEA in the end. You’ll enjoy this collection!

The Wicked Doms Trilogy: Superior Writing!!

The Wicked Doms three book series are among three of the best books I’ve ever read. The three books ‘held me captive’ with the character developments of the main parties, their genuine feelings and emotions and the captivating plots. Ms. Jane Henry, you’re a great writer!

In The Bratva's Baby the first of the three stories in this AMAZING boxset Ms. Henry has once again grabbed my attention with a story that's a thrill a minute. Kazimir has orders that he has to follow Sadie who is a very quiet woman who dresses to not draw attention to herself. When Kazimir enters her life she's confused as to what a handsome man like him sees in her. This story moves fast and has quite a bit of action and suspense. Will the Bratva get what they wanted or will Kazimir realize Sadie's true value? You need to read this book to get the answers but I'll tell you one thing Ms. Henry definitely makes it worth it.
The Bratva's Bride is Demyan and Larissa's story and right away I was involved. Their chemistry was sizzling then you add in the plot twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat and you've got another winner by Jane Henry.
The Bratva's Captive truly takes us on the most intense ride. Maksym has lost what matters the most to him and will do whatever it takes to make the people responsible pay. Olena has had her whole life changed in a dramatic way because of the actions of her father. She's caught in the middle since Maksym has chosen her to carry out his revenge. This story is so dark and raw in it's emotions. Maksym is so complicated but you can't help but feel for him ad well as Olena who's just caught up in circumstances beyond her control. Ms. Henry's gift for storytelling really shines in this book. Bravo!! I would definitely recommend this book! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book

I thought this was a simply delicious, dark romance. The stellar combination of an intense storyline and sizzling chemistry will have you engaged and on edge. Kazimir and Sadie's book will have you gasping from he dramatic twists and sweating from the scorching heat. I loved how this couples story evolved and the complexity of the characters themselves. As this is a dark romance there is content that can be a turnoff for some and triggers for others. So please so be aware that this book contains kidnapping and dubious consent. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for more.

The Bratva's Bride (5 Stars)

The Bratva's Captive (5 Stars)
Oh, this book was sooo goood!!! Dark, intense, super steamy and filled with raw emotions, this is a book that will pull you in, have you poised right on the edge of your seat and feeling desperate to keep reading. Maksym is a complex and complicated hero. Dominate, dangerous, harsh, wounded, broken and fueled by anger and a need for vengeance. I read each of these books individually when they were first released and they were so good! They are dark and steamy and set in the Russian Bratva crime world. They each feature one couple however the men are all part of the Bratva brotherhood. Book one was The Bratva's Baby featuring Kazimir and Sadie. It was definitely a page turner! Innocent librarian Sadie has no clue that she is just a means to an end for Kazimir but the tables take a turn on him when the heart that he didn't think that he had falls for her! Next is The Bratva's Bride and what a story it is! Demyan is now in charge of the brotherhood and someone is stealing from them. He will find out who that is and make them pay! That leads him to Larissa but is she the criminal or is she protecting someone and if so why? Lastly is The Bratva's Captive and this might be my favorite of them all! Maksym is determined to get retribution for being held captive and tortured. Olena is the way for him to get it so he will use any means necessary even if it means taking her captive. All of the stories are dark, full of dominance and a bit twisty. All of these men need salvation and through the story they will find theirs. Each book was told from dual POV and are hot with a capital H!

3.5 stars

I wrote individual reviews on each book. The first one got 3 stars and the second and third each got 3.5 stars. These are tales with non-consensual BDSM scenes with spanking, belting, caning and humiliation. When the women become aroused it is used to emotionally torture them and orgasms are used to subdue them. There's no romance and no finesse until near the end of each story when the men suddenly realize they love the women. The women miraculously fall in love with their tormentors and get an HEA. This is marketed as dark and it is, however the motivations of the men are just as dark as their actions.
