First off I didn't read the 1st book in the series. So, don't let that stop you from reading this book.
Jules is a sassy, stubborn, and smart women. She is married to Jouquin who is a bull rider and a very good one at that. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. They will do anything and everything they can for family.
Things are always crazy at the Ortega household. They have a large family and someone is almost always over. Jouquin's daughter Trinity is 2 years old and she's in a leg cast. So they always have people stopping by to help out with things.
Life is anything but easy for Jules and Jouquin but they always find a way to make things work out. No matter how crazy things get which with them is pretty crazy.
This book will take you on an emotion rollercoaster you aren't expecting. This is a really sweet book with so many touching and thoughtful moments. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good love story that contains drama and some action.
We need more of these nowadays, so that people understand that love can flourish in ordinary circumstances. That’s the High Point of this book. There were things about it that I didn’t enjoy. The style was lively but disjointed. People who don’t like a ton of swearwords won’t enjoy this book either. (Ditto for graphic sex). Neither will those who believe that marriage is only between one man and one woman. (It’s not a central theme and can be ignored if you like the rest of it.) It’s an extremely happy book and that redeems much.
Please check CW and TW. We get to revisit Jules and Joaquin and how life is treating them. Ms. Sylvia Castillo has woven a beautiful story of what real relationships go through and what happens when life gives you twists and turns.
The book is a good story. Worth reading. I would recommend this book to anywho likes loves stories. I love that they were best friends and then met again when they were older
This book had some lovable characters. If you want to read about a love that overcomes all, this is it. I think I should have read book one first since the mystery of what happened to Trinity was never addressed in this book. Good read.
