She is supposed to have an interview that day, but she wakes up late. On top of that, her old car refuses to start. Abby decides to get out and walk. She is wearing heels, and it is uncomfortable walking. She is cursing and sliding along.
The sky is full and overcast. It just rained the previous night, so there are puddles on the floor. As she walks, she laments her fate and her bad luck. She has only just started to get over the death of her father. When he fell sick, Abby packed up everything and moved back home to take care of him.
But now, her father is gone, and she had to pick up the pieces of her life again. As she is still thinking about her life, a car splashes water on her, ruining her outfit.
The car makes to speed off, buy Abby quickly, removes her heel, and throws it at the car. Her aim is on target, and the force is enough to crack the side mirror. The car stops and drives back. It parks, and a tall, handsome guy gets out.
Ken Turner is angry, “Why you scratched my car!”
Abby argued, but she doesn’t know that man will change her life forever…

Well written enjoyable characters and lovely short story which can b read in a hour? I received an advanced reader copy from the author and I am giving my review voluntarily.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fifth book in the For the Sake of Love Book series. In this book, Abby is supposed to be going to a job interview, but she overslept and her car wouldn't start. Abby took a cab, but got stuck in traffic and decided to walk. While she was walking, a car drive by and splashed her with a puddle. Abby had enough, and threw her shoe at the car, breaking his window. Ken was heading to work and was shocked to see a woman throwing things at him. Ken got out of the car and they argued. Ken couldn't forget Abby and decided to send her two dresses to replace the outfit her ruined. Ken asked Abby to dinner and was determined to get to know her. Abby was attracted to Ken, but wondered why he was interested in her. I liked this book, i liked Abby. She was strong and determined to make it. I like how she and Ken had an enemies to lovers relationship. I think Ken needed Abby in his life and she wouldn't back down from him. Good one.
I received an advanced reader copy from the author and I am giving my review voluntarily. This is the first book I have read from this author; it was a very short and quick read. I very much enjoyed Abby; she is a strong, determined, and charismatic woman. The male character was almost nonexistent. There was no backstory, no development, nothing engaging about him. The book was, for me, unsatisfactory because it has a very entertaining and appealing beginning and, as I mentioned, I thoroughly enjoyed the female character, but as soon as the first impulse was over, the story kind of deflated and reached its end very rapidly, almost rushed, so it was a little disappointing. I hope to read more from this author since I liked the premise and am curious about the potential I perceived from this very short novel.
This was a very quick read. Abby and Ken were attracted to each other from the very beginning. Abby's pride and Ken's arrogance kept them apart, but in the end their love couldn't be denied. This was a cute, short and sweet insta-romance story.
I received this book as an ARC from the author for my honest review.
I loved Abby for being so sassy and strong main character in this book. And Ken for being an gentleman but also kinda rude but because of Abby he became a better man. This book was short but sweet and definitely worth reading.
Love this book Abby is a feisty, curvy woman. Heading for an interview her car will not start, the taxi gets stuck in traffic so she walks. A car drives through a puddle drenching her, so like any normal person she throws her shoe at the car and damages a window. From here she meets Ken, the driver. A fast paced story that was a joy to read, frustration, anger, getting drunk, hope and love. A feel good book that I loved reading
