When you're evicted by two lovers, why not move to a mysterious island to become a mail order bride? Esperanza DeLuca is in a jam. Nancy, Esperanza's roommate, decided to move in her husband. The problem is that Nancy would rather be a newlywed without a third wheel hanging around. She gives Esperanza two weeks to move out and she's even nice enough to pack her bags for her. Esperanza signs up for a dating site and is offered a home off the coast of Florida. The only catch, she has to marry her match right away. Will she find happiness in her abode? Or will new challenges send her packing ... again? *** This is a mail order bride romance that contains a minor element of fantasy. There is no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after is guaranteed!

I was born and raised in a small town in Boston, Massachusetts. My love of romance movies greatly influences my work in writing paranormal, science-fiction, dystopian and contemporary romances filled with action and adventure. In my free time I enjoy singing karaoke, watching movies, and playing with my cat Charlie.

I liked that at the end Esperanza gets to tell her ex-roommate what she thought of her. Boy! That girl made my back teeth hurt. I don't know why Esperanza stood for that treatment for so long.

I have a found a new series to be excited for. I loved this book. It had a unique premise. Portum Island is unique. The people are healthy and live a long time. The way to achieve that is to leave most of the world out. But there aren't enough women on the island to keep the generations going. So they have an idea to allow mail order brides. Esperanza is down on her luck. She is stuck with a terrible room mate who decides that she wants her to move out for selfish reasons. Esperanza sees the ad for Portum Island mail order bride and submits her application thinking it's a scam, but what the heck. Then she gets a call it's accepted and she figures what does she have to lose. Her currently life has nothing to offer her. Pretty soon she is married to kind man who she is enjoying getting to know. She is now in a society that doesn't get old and has a different way of life. But that doesn't mean she doesn't have normal issues. Like a husband who doesn't know how to cook or clean and his ex fiancée who can't stand someone else having him. Esperanza finds out who she is and what she wants and she fights for this new love she had no idea she would find. I loved every minute of this book. I was a little bummed it's short. I want more! That's why I'm excited it's a series. I can't wait to start the next book! These characters grabbed me right away and I'm totally invested. That is part to do with this author and also part to do with how good this narrator was. She really brought the story alive.

A different kind of romance!💜

Well I’m not sure what I expected but this wasn’t it. In a good way. This was a whirlwind romance of magical proportions. It had all the elements including the mean roommate, angry ex, and judgmental in-laws. But it was also a magical place where it’s easy to find love that will last forever, literally. This story has great characters, and an interesting storyline.
The narration was very good.
This is book 1 with an HEA.

Nah I'd pass

Weak characters, heroine allowed roommate to take advantage of her kindness and it seems as if the hero wanted to get visits from pregnant ex girlfriend. People on the island were immortal, I just skipped through the rest of the book after someone on the island age to be 600 years. Writers must be reminded that fictional writing must make sense to keep an interesting read. Cannot read anymore from this series.

A Fun Quick Read

This was the first book I have read from this author, and it was an enjoyable read. I was uncertain how Esperanza could travel to a remote island to marry a man she had never met, but the author made it realistic, believable, and a fun read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

The main character is a little daffy, becoming a mail-order bride just because she has the roommate from hell. Sight unseen, she moves to an island with special magic and marries her new man on the same day. It would have been just as unbelievable without the magic, but it's ok, it all works out. She's a good person to spend a couple hours with, and then be glad you're not her.

The girls are all fun & the fellows, also! A group of fellows from the Island await their “off the island” brides! I would recommend this book!
