Après avoir dévoré le premier tome, je me suis empressée de me jeter sur la suite. Autant profiter avoir la suite sous la main tout de suite pour une fois! J’ai beaucoup aimé ce second tome, tout comme le premier d’ailleurs. Ça va être un manga que je vais suivre avec beaucoup d’attention et surtout je vais attendre chaque sortie de tome avec grande impatience. J’ai vraiment adoré découvrir cette histoire que je trouve adorable et sans prise de tête. Ça fait vraiment du bien de lire ce genre de manga, ça nous divertit vraiment.

Dans ce second tome, après un accord passé avec trois divinités, Ryôma Takebayashi, un salarié japonais, se retrouve réincarné en enfant dans un autre monde. C’est alors qu’il commence à étudier les slimes qu’il a apprivoisés et met à profit leurs capacités pour savourer pleinement sa nouvelle et paisible existence. Mais les expériences de sa vie antérieure vont également lui être très utiles ! Voici le récit de son quotidien tranquille et amusant entouré de gens bienveillants dans un monde de fantasy !

J’ai autant apprécié ce second tome que le premier. On continue de découvrir un peu plus ce monde fantasy. Les slimes de Ryôma sont vraiment fabuleux. Il a réussi a faire des choses fantastiques avec tout ses slimes. Parce qu’au final c’est vraiment sa création. On découvre aussi la ville, Ryôma finit par suivre la famille pour de nouvelles aventures! Le problème c’est qu’il a parfois des réactions qui peuvent paraître étrange aux yeux des autres ce qui les amène à se poser des questions sur qui il est vraiment et surtout qu’est ce qu’il cache. Les connaissances de notre monde sont une vraie aide pour lui dans ce monde là. Ça lui a permis justement d’améliorer beaucoup de choses grâce à ça. J’ai adoré le voir dans la guilde et accepter les missions. Il va d’ailleurs devoir faire face à des missions particulières mais grâce aux slimes il va s’en sortir comme un chef!

Par contre, la fin de ce second tome n’augure vraiment rien de bon. Je dois même avouer que ça fait un peu peur pour la suite.. Je me demande vraiment comment l’histoire va évoluer à cause de ça et aussi si Ryôma va réussir à résoudre cet énorme problème.. Je suis déjà très impatiente de découvrir la suite de cette histoire et retrouver les personnages. J’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à découvrir cette sortie de début d’année et j’ai hâte d’avoir la suite!

Starts at the camp with Ryoma being taken out of solitude and ends at the latrines disease discovery. It’s sweet and wholesome but at the same time a little creepy. Ryoma isn’t manipulative, he’s a sweet kid with trauma from his past life, but everyone else sees it as child abuse. Shame it’s not an omnibus edition. The normal volumes end so quickly.

I liked this volume better than the first, so I'm moving on to volume 3. The characters are getting more personality, and the story is starting to develop a shape beyond "otherworlder is insanely powerful."

It explains a lot more than the anime, but…there are some inconsistencies. It mentioned in the first volume that slimes generally don’t evolve because they don’t get enough to eat. Ryoma focused on evolving specializations through experiments, and came up with acid, poison, sticky, scavenger, and cleaner varieties…which the duke had never seen. In this volume, the gods reiterate that slimes never get the chan s to evolve, and Ryoma has accomplished something that even their creator failed to do. But..the guildmaster clearly recognized the different varieties, and noted that adventurers who take slimes too lightly do not survive. And in the bonus story, Eliaria is asking for advice on her soon-to-evolve cleaner slime, saying that “i don’t think my father knows much about them either” as if they are an established variety they are at least aware of.

Also, the stats show that normal humans have between 1-5000 magic points. But no one seemed flabbergasted by his 198000, and Eliaria’s 200k also didn’t seem like a big deal, just a bit higher than normal. A kid with 40x more magic is insane. The explanation of his power was a bit odd too. In theory, having so much should mean a user has difficulty with fine control of their power, but here it seemed to show that after constantly using it, his spell was stronger without using more magic. I expected them to say that previously he exploded larger areas than intended, then with practice learned to focus his power on only the part he wanted to destroy.

While not as good as the first volume in my opinion this volume was still a delightful read.

Story: The story consists of a lot of worldbuilding and a lot of magic! It’s more of a needed set up for development in Ryouma’s journey. Ryouma is a very likeable protagonist which makes his journey all the more engaging. While the volume is pretty simple for most chapters it’s still very charming to see his adventure really start up. There’s some emotion and character development sprinkled in to. I did find ryouma being a bit too overpowered but it is what it is.

Art: The art is still detailed but very rough. The composition is good though and full of life and action.

This is almost too much -- too adorable, too sweet-natured, too much wish-fulfillment. Everything always goes right for our protagonist; he never makes a bad decision, never fails at anything he tries, and is constantly praised for his intelligence and competence.

It really OUGHT to be unreadable, but... I am reading it! And enjoying it! I don't want to relax too much into the vibe because what if I'm being set-up for something awful? But reading a chapter or two every night before bed is the perfect dose of sweetness to fall asleep with.

I really love the LN and the Manga for this series. The audiobook for the series gets better in about volume 3 or more. I didn’t like the narrator’s children’s voices in the early ones but it got better. The anime series was decent but the two main characters faces were a bit exaggerated and they had no visible teeth which bothered me for some reason. All in all, this is a delightful series to read in manga or LN form.

Another great volume in the series! It's quirky, fun and an overall pleasant read. I love the fantastical side of it, and there's enough things going on that kept me interested throughout the volume.

Ryoma's knowledge of slimes and what they can do was very interesting and the interactions Ryoma had with other people was also interesting. Because he lived alone in the forest for a few years without contact with other people, it was fun seeing how he adjusted to life in a town.

I recommend this series to everyone!

Ryoma joins human society at last and begins his career as a magical sanitation worker. This volume is more of the same but a little less charming because we see so much evidence of how overpowered Ryoma's skills are. Still pretty charming though.

Features a catgirl minor character who has super-annoying "neko speak." Thankfully she isn't in too much of the book.

This volume really focuses on world building. It introduces some more characters and the guilds. It felt like it was setting up quite a few things for the subsequent volumes. But even so it was an enjoyable read that makes me want to continue with the series and see what happens next.

Comme indiqué dans ma chronique précédente, j’avais commandé le tome 2 avant même d’avoir réceptionné le premier. Pour moi, à moins de ne vraiment pas accrocher au premier tome, il faut au moins en lire un second pour se faire un avis, surtout sur un titre qui est encore en cours. Après tout, une série qui sera longue aura tendance à avoir un rythme plus lent qu’une série courte. Ayant beaucoup apprécié le premier tome, j’ai donc lu le second très rapidement, et l’ambiance reste identique pour le moment, donc je vais continuer ! D’ailleurs, j’ai ajouté la série dans mon panier, jusqu’au tome 6 et le 7 sort début novembre.

A la fin du tome précédent, Ryôma accepte de partir avec la famille du duc Jamil. Leurs réactions à son égard sont assez drôles et exagérées par moment. Mais ce n’est pas non plus « sur joué » ou omniprésent comme dans Cautious Hero que je n’avais pas aimé à cause de ça. Les réactions ici sont surtout due à de mauvaises interprétations, du fait que Ryôma est réincarné avec la mémoire de son ancienne vie. Chose que la famille du duc ignore évidemment, pour eux Ryôma est un enfant ayant grandi dans la forêt, ses réactions sont parfois pour eux une marque mauvaises expériences, alors que pas du tout. Du coup, je me demande s’il leur dira la vérité un jour, après tout, ils sont bien gentils avec lui, et s’inquiètent même par moment. Ils se sont littéralement laissés attendrir par ce jeune garçon plein de ressources, mais ne cherchent pas à profiter de lui pour autant, ce qui est bien rare. C’est aussi pour cette raison que je trouve l’ambiance assez similaire à la dresseuse sans étoile.

Pour la suite, Ryôma finit par obtenir sa plaque de statut (équivalent de carte d’identité), et ainsi par revoir, pour la première fois depuis sa réincarnation, les trois dieux de ce monde. Tous heureux de cet échange, même s’il fût assez bref, Ryôma apprend également qu’il n’y a pas que les trois dieux qu’il a rencontrés pour ce monde. Ainsi, il obtient une nouvelle bénédiction, celle du dieu Tekun, le dieu de l’alcool… (et de l’artisanat, mais sa bénédiction est pour l’alcool, donc…). Après quoi, il finit par s’inscrire dans la guilde des apprivoiseurs ainsi que celle des aventuriers (visiblement, il existe plusieurs types de guilde). Afin de le protéger, le duc aurait souhaité qu’il est un rang élevé, malheureusement, comme il n’a que des slimes (considérés comme de la daube, comme toujours), cela ne sera pas possible. Les chefs ou maîtres de la guilde des apprivoiseurs préfèrent donner un rang élevé aux apprivoiseurs ayant un monstre de puissance élevée en somme. Chez la guilde des aventuriers, c’est un peu la même chose, mais le maître de la succursale explique qu’il est encore jeune, et que ça paraîtrait étrange qu’il est un rang élevé, tout en lui attirant des ennuis. Cette excuse est bien meilleure pour le coup, très réaliste car même si pour le moment, il ne rencontre que de bonnes personnes, rien ne dit que ça sera toujours le cas.

The second volume has puns aplenty as they introduce beastkins. As I said in the previous volume review, I like this series. It is a soothing read. Once again, the series follows Ryoma Takebayashi as he meets people in another world and throws aside common sense.

Ryoma comes up with various inventions inspired by his life on Earth, and these are all mind-blowing to the natives of this world. One such invention is rain gear made with the help of Sticky Slimes.

The book gets to the point where Ryoma cleans the public toilets, but no further than that.
