He’s always taken care of me. Watched over me. Protected me. Though he’s older than me, I’ve always seen him as someone I can relate to on every level. He still sees me as a little girl, so I tell myself I have to let him go. Then the world comes crashing down on me. And where do I run? Right into his open arms. Now that I’m grown up, I want him to see me as more than the little girl he used to dote on. I want him to see me as the woman who loves him with every breath I take.
She’s always had a place in my heart. When she was little, I loved spoiling her. As she got older, I was happy to be a shoulder for her to lean on. And when she was all grown up? That’s when I realized I needed distance, that I couldn’t trust myself around her. She’s too young, too innocent, too everything-I’m-not. That doesn’t stop me from keeping tabs on her, though. Watching her every move from afar. Until one day she comes running, and I finally let myself hope for more. But can she love the man who’s kept her at arm’s length the past few years? Or will she run again when she finds out all I’ve done to make her mine?
A conversation would solve all their problems. The author keeps dragging their story and I was not having it. Holy fuck, open your fucking mouths and talk about how you feel.
The guy told you he loved you before fucking you and after making out for three weeks, he also said he was a virgin because he was waiting for you to be ready and you think he loves you like a friend? Fuck you, girl don’t be stupid
This was pretty fast pace novella with soem steam.
Tinsley and Reed have this relationship that makes Tinsley more dependable on Reed. I honestly dont know how old Reed is from her? I thought it was like a step family thing? But nope since Reed knows her family or his dad was friend of their family? So they friends who are pinning for eachother. So yeah I was confused in the friendship/relationship at first. I do know that something bad happen to Tinsley that had her only trusting Reed (when it comes to guys) but Reed didn't wanna push and thinks hes to old for her so he pushes her away. Now thats stopping he finally going for that happy ending and making sure his girl is safe and sound and happy. Even if he kept a few hidden secerts.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary charas, tiny Drama, no cheating, sexy times, both virgins

-no cheating -no ow/om drama -dual virgins (which made my rating higher) -no others after meeting -both wanted each other for years yet never acted on it. Didn’t get why they didn’t. No logical reason was given -ok epilogue
"Stalking His Claim" is the story of Tinsley and Reed.
I have a fondness for romances with brooding protective heroes who stalk and guard the heroines from afar, creating unnecessary drama when they are both insanely smitten with one another. And this gave me exactly that.
For quite a while now, I've been really busy with exams and didn't really allow myself to read full novels- so I've been sticking to short smutty novellas since (no complaints here 🤷♀️).
But now that I'm done I get to finally read everything that I've been putting off.
But before I did that, what better way to end it than read one last novella for now:
And what a way to go 💀🔫.
This one wasn't amazing- but it was definetly interesting? I'm not going to lie, I didn't enjoy it that much 💀💀. The miscommunication was atrocious- but it had its moments 🧍♀️.
This, for me, definitely wasn't the most memorable book that I've read by LD- but it was fun.
Lucy Darling has written another epic romance where there’s so much tension and yearning, you could slice it with a knife. Reed and Tinsley have known each other for years and both have been in love with the other—neither have given anyone else the time of day Reed has been obsessed and keeping an eye on his girl forever and when a traumatic event happens, Tinsley goes to stay with him as he’s the only one who makes her feel safe.
Reed is in agony with his girl so close and trying to control himself around her, when all he wants to do is throw her over his shoulder and have his way with her. But maybe...she wouldn’t mind that so much!
Tinsley has been wracking her mind trying to get reed to see more than a little sister, she’s trying to chip away at his formidable self control and restraint and get him to fall in love with her.
And when the dam breaks, there’s gonna be a deluge of feelings that ends up with all sorts of sticky, heart pounding goodness
Loved these wonderful characters. Reed's over the top alphaness is so hot. Tinsley is so adorable with trying to make Reed see her other than the little girl he has always seen her as. Little does she know he definitely sees her more than a little girl. I read an advanced copy of this book.
Nothing particularly new or exciting here and the plotting was really weird. There was hinting about the FMC's past and family but very few actual details but the focus wasn't really the sex either. It felt like the author was going for a really domineering and controlling hero but didn't quite fully commit.
Also a few other complaints... 1. the FMC's name is Tinsley 2. This story acts like this is an age gap story but then talks about how they grew up together, which... 3. I have no idea how old any of these people are. He runs a company and she's still in school but again, the childhood stuff makes it seem like they're not that far apart in age.
She is it for me. Always was and always will be my everything.
I just love it when h/H have known each other since they were kids and end up being each other's one and only. Especially when the H is completely obsessed and a bit stalkerish. Dual virgins, no OP drama, she tries to run but he is hot on her tail.
Sweet and lovely. I love this little story of a protective man who has created a safe environment for his sweet protegé. Of course, he hides a deep longing for her, but doesn’t want to impose. And Tinsley only dreams of loving him. It is funny when she tries to seduce him all guilelessly.
There are very cute moments to do with cupcakes and nights at home. I could really feel the man's warm protectiveness towards her, and I loved the hints at past sorrows that explain their present situation.
You know when some misunderstandings lead to the couple to believe they are not really loved by the other? And then the reconciliation douses all tears and pain with over-the-top gestures of possessive love? Yay, we have it all here with all those inner thoughts that make it all so adorable and romantic. Reed is one magnificent stalker who proves his devotion to his lady and finally claims his happiness. From grouchy to perfect man. Oh, and lots of delicious passion, too ;-)
There’s nothing Lucy has written that I haven’t fallen in love with.
When Tinsley arrives to stay with Reed she’s finally going to be able to be with the man she’s loved since she was a little girl. He’s everything she knows she needs and wants.
What she doesn’t realise is that Reed has also been secretly in love with her to the point of obsession. This is one determined alpha and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
Another feel good story, no cheating, fantastic engagement factor, awesome secondary characters and chemistry that is off the charts.
Reed is a super obsessed possessive guy trying to hide it to not scare Tinsley since she was attacked by some other guy before and has been skittish since. But she’s known Reed since she was 12 (no clue how old he was, but it feels like he’s only a few years older) and has been in love with him since then. And Reed has been in love with her too, but neither of them know how the other feels. Tinsley thinks Reed just feels protective of her in a friendly way and Reed thinks that she’s still scared of men.
Anyway, Reed has been “keeping an eye on her” aka stalking her for awhile, even before she moved in with him. I’m talking bodyguards, security cameras, tracking her phone, etc.
Eventually they finally get together (oh yes, he’s also a virgin! Looooove those virgin heroes) but there’s a misunderstanding.. but then it’s fixed and they lived HEA.
Pretty cute short story and a 3.5⭐️ read for me, but I’m rounding up because those virgin heroes just really do it for me.
I wish that Reed made it clear to Tinsley exactly what she meant to him sooner than he did, I could tell there was an unresolved conversation to be had before our h got the wrong impression and runs. This is an instance where I totally get why she ran. My heart broke for Tinsley because she really did love Reed and was just confused about his feelings, and trying to do the right thing. Really really enjoyed! Looking forward to reading her bff's story next.

Tinsley goes to Reed looking for a safe harbor. Reed has always wanted Tinsley, and now that she is with him, he’s ultra careful and protective. Tinsley makes up her mind that she will have Reed. Super sweet story. HEA.
This one was problematic because I couldn’t figure out the two characters ages which bugged me the entire book. They are described as playing together as children but the Hero repeatedly worries about heroine being “so young” and Reed is described as some grumpy old asshole while Tinsley is this naive scared girl going to college. If the ages are stated I totally missed it and the character descriptions vs. “I’ve loved you since we were kids” kept me confused. Also wish there had been more time showing Tinsley’s growth from scared victim to confident take charge woman but that seemed to all happen off page.
The only reason this didn't get a full 5 stars from me is because I wanted Reed to be a little more alpha earlier in the story. I understood he didn't want to scare Tinsley but he was a bit too passive for too long for my liking.
es que vos sos muy sonso. vos tenés que arrinconar a esa pelada y decirle: vas a ser mi novia sí o no? que está con un siriri, con un sarara. que sí que no que sí que no quesiquesiquesiquesi qué?, como si ella vendiera queso
One of the most annoying books I've read in a while!
This book seemed totally disorganized and characters do a 360 in there personality.
Let's start of with saying how confusing this book was it seemed to drag on for forever but without giving any great detail of past events. In the story it mentions numerous significant details as why tinsley is staying with Reed after her horrible "attack" . I don't know if the author was trying to make this a mystery but it did make me ask slot of unanswered questions everything like how do they're family's know each other? what was the significance and what happened to Reed's mother? Why am I only getting part of the story of her attack? Like seriously I read the whole book to be explained in a few short sentences at the end on what happened.
Tinsley as a whole character did not make sense to me the whole story pretty much says that tinsley is afraid of all men but seriously she doesn't act that way until reed either makes a comment, brings up attack , or has creepy people fallow her then she's suddenly is "oh ya I'm so scared of men" . Also if you were afraid of men and inexperienced would you really say she would cut off his dick if he ever had sex with someone else I mean I feel like that was another total change of personality in a matter of three seconds. Then later on in the book reed confesses to her that he loves her and she says she loves him back but still she's like oh he doesn't really love me which seems again...... annoying
When I read the description of the book it described Reed as a possessive loving dominant guy. But more than halfway through the book I didn't see any of that in fact I found Reed's character to be extremely week and annoying and Reed seemed distant and uncaring like when he said "I won't kiss but you can kiss me" I mean seriously if you're going to write about a dominant character I expect him to be dominant. It's not untill halfway through the book that he's really shows any kind of dominant side and really in the book it doesn't describe him being the dominant it's more like afterwards "oh I didn't realize I would be so dominant in bed" which was annoying. It wasn't until the very last chapter did I really think that he was a dominant character if he had been more like how he was described earlier throughout the book it wouldn't have giving me a whiplash from this 360 personality change. Also It also didn't make sense why Reed kept the secret that he had bodyguards protecting her I mean if she seriously was afraid of men in particular wouldn't you feel more safe walking around I mean seriously that just seemed stupid not to tell her and make her think that somebody was creepily fallowing her!
3.5 I always look forward to reading this authors books as I always love the Insta love romance that is burning from the pages. This romance book is a very sweet, lovely and I loved the protectiveness and the slow burn love that is simmering away, but I also found some parts a tad confusing to me, because of there age and thing.
Reed has made a promise that he would always keep Tinsley safe at all cost especially after he saved her when she fell in the pool and he is very protective of her always. When something happens Reed is the guy that she needs to be safe. He can sometimes be an ass, he is in the middle of buying a bath bomb company when Tinsley comes to live with him.
Tinsley moves in and goes to college but she is convinced that they are meant to be together but Reed is not so sure and thinks that he is too old for her and at first and pushes her away all the time. Tinsley has loved Reed since she was a girl and that love has only got stronger and she always feels very protected when he is around and when she is near him. But the major issue for her is that she wants him to see her as all woman and not that little girl she once was but how can she make him see that?
I enjoyed reading this book as I always do but I was a tad confused at the beginning with the ages of each of the characters and I thought that this book was a forbidden sort of love story and I wanted to know. They did have a very strong connection to each other because they have been through so much together over the years. They have both had feelings for one another in some context and they have never acted on them until now. But is the time right? I always love how this author writes and her style of writing is always easy to read and the story was a cute, quick romance read. The characters have great chemistry and an awesome connection and when you fall love and its meant to be nothing will stop you.
PS:The H and h only have ever been with each other.
Favorite quotes (SPOILERS AHEAD):
“I don’t know why men think or do a lot of things.” 🧍🏼♀️: DITTO . . “I can’t chase him. It’s one thing to try and show him that I want him and another to downright chase after him. I can’t do it.” I’m not that girl. It will hurt me to walk away, but I won’t beg him to be with me.” . . “You’re a grouchy asshole. She’s good for you.” “Why would she want to be with a grouchy asshole?” I take a drink. “Have you ever been a grouchy asshole to her?” “No,” I say instantly. “There you go.”
I hate hate hate the feeling of getting dropped into the middle of a book, or feeling like I missed the first book. I after 40% I got so flustered I searched through all the author’s books to see if maybe I missed the characters getting introduced in a previous series. You get more of a backstory from the blurb than the book itself.
It’s supposedly “forbidden” for them to be together (never specifically said but that’s the way they talk about it) which never makes sense because you don’t know their ages. She acts like she’s gone through some huge trauma but it’s never really explained.
Her constantly rushing to conclusions like a child makes me assume she’s a mid teenager. She hears half of what he says or sees something, and instead of confronting him over it and asking questions like an adult, she runs. Ugh
Plot: After an unspecified bad experience, Tinsley is living with family friend Reed while she finishes high school. They each have a crush on the other but aren't sure if their feelings are reciprocated. But oh boy, are they! Once Reed makes his move, all bets are off and Tinsley should brace herself.
Commentary: There were some parts of the story that were vague - ages, timeline, the trauma in her background - and it was difficult to tell if that was on purpose or not. There was also a connection, but I couldn't tell if it was between the sets of parents, between her parents and Reed, or what. But Tinsley was sweet and she had a great friend in Carly and I enjoyed the story.
Stalking His Claim by Lucy Darling. This is the story of Tinsley and Reed. Something happened to Tinsley (unsure as it didn't happen in this book but I think it was a ex boyfriend tired to hurt her) where she ends up moving in with Reed who is a family friend. Reed has always cared for Tinsley and has been her friend. Now that he has her living with him he has gone into protective mode that has him monitoring her every move. Tinsley has always loved Reed but didn't think he notices that way. This living together bring out their desire for each other so that they can't ignore it anymore. Quick Hot Read.
Tinsley has been in love with Reed since forever, but she’s worried he sees her more as an annoying younger sister. Meanwhile, Reed has obsessed over Tinsley for years and fears his secret will reveal itself and frighten her away.
Meh. This is nit-picky, but I didn’t like the heroine’s name. Other than that the whole thing was okay. Wasn’t too erotic. Some possessive scenes but nothing crazy.
Probably won’t reread and won’t keep on my shelf. Recommended to fans of stalker heroes and friends-to-lovers romance.
