After an intense skirmish with Donny’s men, Chateau has been captured, and Ryang-Ha will stop at nothing to get her back. But she’s being held on a top-secret island, and to infiltrate it, he’ll have to form a tenuous alliance with former foes and the heir to the island itself! Meanwhile, Donny sets his plan in motion, helping Chateau finally remember her bloody past...but to what end? As Chateau’s past and present lives collide inside her head, how will she perform her role as the star of Donny’s sadistic play?
Have you ever imagined yourself running at full speed towards the endless sky? Not in a dying way, but rather in the freeing kind of way. That's exactly what I felt at the conclusion of this volume. I loved just how it lifted my spirits. Damn, just one smile from the person you did wrong is all it took. One smile for you to know it's okay to move on. And maybe a hug from the person you care for afterward, to let you know it's going to be okay soon?
By the way, I love how soft the cover's atmosphere is. Looks so freeing, right?
Augh, but I can't keep calm. What's Donny's going to do about it? And what about Nelson Noble, damn he sure was looking so evil back then! I still need answers! It's not enough.
I don’t care, I LOVE THIS VOLUME SO MUCH!! Especially Chapter 53
First of all, we have a glimpse on Noble’s family tree and the crisis. I think Nelson is such a tragic character. Shadowed by pity and all he thought— he was alone and mistook kindness as pity.
I don’t know what Donny’s motive on the Noble but he definitely someone who trusted by the head family. Like FULLY TRUSTED. I truly have no idea what to feel about Donny. He looks like someone that care about those he loved especially Mifa. Gosh, just protect her because she’s an absolute precious.
I also a simp over Nikka and Ryang-Ha’s friendship. Both are like the duo you can’t cross over or YOU WILL DIE.
And hello, the five stars alone due to the execution of symbolism— Chateau’s trauma. There’s one panel that got me auto faucet tears. It seems like both my fave volume of 7&9 have him. Yup, he’s real tearjerker .
Knowing what actually happened in the past shed some worthy moment whenever Chateau and Ryang-Ha interacted.
I just- so, so not regretting reading this manga. Okay bye, have a nice day everyone.
Most of my thought process during the entire Donny arc was "Don't let Donny die cz then what's going to happen to Mifa?!?!?" (Yup, I absolutely loved Mifa and all her weird quirks.)
This is one of my favorite series and I was immediately hooked after Vol 1. I love how Fe excels at balancing heavy tones and events with light-hearted, or sometimes even, giggle inducing humor as well as, what I consider to be, a sweet budding "grumpy-sunshine," romance that runs parallel to the main plot. More to that, I love that Chateau is, in my opinion, the "grumpy," while Ryang-Ha is the "sunshine." I do not see many stories where the FMC gets to be the "grumpy," character and I am here for it! The writing and story are so fluid and covers a wide spectrum of emotions without making the reader feel they are dramatically swinging back and forth. The main story is a bit heavy in most places (this is a plus for me but I understand everyone's preferences are different) but the back-and-forth between Ryang-Ha and Chateau as well as their interactions with the people around them put this series in the sweet spot for me.
In this volume, their story begins to escalate and we are given a few more clues to the mystery revolving around Chateau. We also gain some insight to events that originally put our story in motion. Still, many questions are left to be answered. The build-up to this series has been great and I am so excited for the next volume coming out later this month!
This volume does an excellent job of portraying Chateau's trauma regarding (original) Ryang-ha and her perceived responsibility for his death.
I love the Ryang-ha and Nikka duo--they play off of each other really well, and it's fun to see someone getting on Ryang-ha's nerves in a similar way to how he bugged Chateau in the beginning.
I can't fault Donny for his motivations, but his methods aren't it. Too many innocents caught in the crossfire, like poor little Chris. Nelson is an awful person, but his own perception of how he was treated in childhood is an understandable trigger for how he turned out.
Holy! This was a jam packed volume and there is A TON TO UNPACK!! With some actual answers!! But we love a man who will do anything to get his woman back ! Especially since she absolutely needs that!! My heart goes out to Chateau, she is going through it !!!
Now this was the development I've been waiting for in the romantic department!!! In this volume, the truth about chateau's identity and family origin begins to be uncovered so that's one less mystery to unravel that's been revolving in this series 😁
Lots of action, lots of new things being added to the plot. Still a great volume!! Poor Chateau goes through so much, but she’s so strong and really provides for herself.
Seriously, you absolute jerk! If you feel like that towards your relatives, then you should go to therapy to get help for your mental state! This all could’ve been avoided if you weren’t a jerk!!
100% recomanable! Sèrie inacabada amb anime també inacabat ^^'
