Not all romances start off with roses and chocolates. For Kaede and Sinclair, it started with a kidnapping.
He was hired to kidnap a witch. She was supposed to be his ticket out of the Frostlands, the frozen tundra he was banished to years ago. It was supposed to be a simple job. Get in and get out. Imagine his surprise when he learned the witch he was hired to turn over to The Deciders, was actually his fated mate. Now that he’s found her, Kaede Oshiro doesn’t plan to let her go. She’s the treasure the Fates have gifted to him. It’s his duty to love her and keep her safe. But going against The Deciders puts them and all of their allies in danger. Loving her could possibly bring forth the destruction of his peoples’ safe haven. Loving her could possibly lead to his own death. But love her he will, forever. And no matter what happens, he will do whatever it takes to protect his treasure.
Even if it means never being freed from the Frostlands.
Hi, my name is Siren Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things erotic and romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi where I write steamy romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.
I had a feeling this would be a cliffhanger. However the way the story is unfolding helps you understand. Jealousy, envy, and lust bound up in a powerful sorceress who craves power and a man who wants nothing to do with her, drives her to kill, maim, use whomever and whatever she can to have her way. Kaede, the dragon shifter has been tricked and banished to the Frostlands only to find his true mate. Knowing his potential to harm her on the full moon drives him to make decisions that will change his course. I guess we have to wait until the next installment.
Cute, loved the twist about horrid Jenn. Expected something of that nature, but definitely NOT to that degree. Still loved Kaede and Sinclair. Guffawed over Rhen (of course, he’s probably my favourite). I will say, the story line dropped from the first book and had more sex than plot. The sex was definitely used to pad the story, but I still enjoyed it well enough. Obviously, a story like this has coming tropes and a bit of predictable plot, but like I said, I still enjoyed it well enough to continue into the third book.
I was so not suspecting that, wow Winter, now that is something else. You want to know you have seriously got to read this for yourself. And the transformation with Kaede, oh my, the only thing I can say is loved it. When I saw the wasa part 3 kind of worried until I saw the dates these came out. I have the next one, I about to read it. This is a good series, don’t miss out.
This story had me pulled in from the moment Kaede was introduced. From the start I was rooting for him and his mate, Sinclair. All the aspects of mystery, magic, love, and hate are in this story. I look forward to the next one and to know about Rhen and his mate, whom I think I know. Have fun reading this tale.
This book is full of revelations so much so that I had to reread pages to keep up. The struggle that Kaeda went through when he relived his past was painful, and the heartbreak that Sin felt was unbearable. The twists at the end were definitely unexpected. I can't wait to see how all of this unfolds.
Ok, I am so intrigued to know how this series is going to end. Each book has you wanting to read more. Paranormal romances has somewhat interested me but the more I am reading the more I want to read.
Book 2 is just as good as 1. It continued the suspense drama and intrigue of everything going on in the frostlands. Good writing can't wait for book 3.
