The Significant Brothers Collection

Rate this book
For the first time, enjoy the whole Significant Brothers series in one collection.
Here are the six novels included in this 1500+ page collection, plus the novella (Wintersweet) that catches up with the guys while they plan a wedding:

Splinter

After zero-gravity heroics left astronaut Nicolas Rogers injured, his new job as a hermit—er, park ranger—seems perfect. Until he ends up babysitting rock star Deen Jayse, sent to the Smoky Mountains by his manager for image rehab. Behind their personas, they’re startlingly similar. Yet Deen can't just drop everything to go live in the mountains, and Nico can't abandon them. After a taste of being together, how can they face a future apart?

Grasp

Zoo vet Blane Winters' grumpy attitude and muscles hide a romantic heart. But incessantly cheerful Falcon Harper won’t stop studying him as he paints meerkats at his zoo. When he tells the vet about his secret ex who’ll be at his sister’s wedding, the solution is obvious: Blane can be Falcon's plus-one. But will their growing feelings undermine everything they’re building?

Slick

Life's a party, and the fleet’s youngest airline captain Roman White is all-or-nothing: a playboy who overcommits when he tries to settle down. World-touring dancer Oscar Brooks finds himself rebuilding his life, and Roman offers his spare room. But the chemistry between these free spirits is real… and the attraction grows. Can they break out of their patterns and chase their dreams together?

Trace

Scrawny, geeky forensic investigator Dustin Reed stopped believing in fairytales. Leo Sanderson, glad to be home after a tour of duty, bumps into Dustin in a gay bar. Avoiding labels seems perfect: Leo's figuring himself out, and Dustin's unwilling to hand over his heart. Every fairytale has to start somewhere; why not the bedroom?

Clutch

After crashing, cocky racing driver Tyler Joseph is sidelined at his best friend's farmhouse. Good thing there’s a hot little physical therapist to distract him. Alec Lands is a sucker for a pretty face, and Tyler's flirty, dirty, and stubborn as hell. He can't resist, even though it could end both their careers. Can they both resist hitting the brakes on their maybe-forever?

Tremble

The last place Evan Vincent expected to be dumped was at his engagement shoot… in a dude ranch in Tennessee. Since he’s out of a house, job, and relationship at once, ranch owner Josh King offers Evan a job. But Josh is hiding skeletons in his closet. They don’t know if they’re fighting to turn a rebound into more, or to keep it from becoming more. Is this the best timing ever, or the worst timing ever?

“Wintersweet”

All the Significant Brothers are helping pull off the first brother’s wedding! Nico and Deen are getting married, and who better to help with wedding ring shopping, cake baking, and keeping the grooms calm before they walk down the aisle? The Significant Brothers are here to save the day... (“Wintersweet” is currently available only in this collection.)

Each book can be read or listened to on its own and promises a happily-ever-after ending, but you’ll enjoy them more as part of the whole series. A low-angst series filled with found family, loving teasing, and steamy encounters. One-click now and enjoy!

I love this collection. I love how the significant brothers got their name and that they stayed friends even after high school. This is a collection of sweet stories as the brothers find love and their happy endings. I really enjoyed getting to know each of these characters and the wedding at the end of the collection was a nice touch. I definitely recommend this collection and will enjoy it again and again.
Narrator Greg Boudreaux does a fabulous job. I enjoyed hearing his voice throughout all the books.

Sexually Explicit. Sweet. OTT

Overall: 4 stars
Performance :4.5 stars
Story: 3.5

I heard few book friends talk about how much they've enjoyed Significant Brothers Series .

So when I saw, E. Davies teamed up with Greg Boudreaux and released ALL 6 Significant Brothers audiobooks plus 1 novella in one single bundle, that's 37 hours and 28 minutes for just 1 audio credit , I knew this was my opportunity to get them for cheap. Hey, just keeping real. LOL😂😁😀

Greg Boudreaux narration was awesome. His tone, voices and pace were perfect . His delivery was vivid , dramatic and engaging. Audio production was seamless and clean. He didn't just read a book , he embodied the characters and situations.

Stories are entertaining , fun and easy going. Written in a personal , intimate feel , with lot humour , witty and snarky banter. With medium to low levels of drama and angst ; SUPER , ÜBER high on LOTS of explicit hot AF sexy times and so much sweetness to put anyone in a diabetic coma. And of course, they all have well deserved HEA/HFN endings. Gave me all the feels.

Re-listen : No
Recommend: Yes , for listeners wants lots of sex , uncomplicated plots and light stories.

OMG I loved every single book in this collection. I started with the first saying, this is my favorite, then, the second, and on and on until the last! I literally loved every second of this 30 something hours. I couldn't get enough!

My very favorite parts were that there wasn't angst in any of the relationships. It was their own issues and fears the kept them single and without knowing love until it hit them in the face. Every single damn story was like sooooooo adorably sweet. It started out as 6 friends in their late 20's, all friends from High School that get together monthly and book by book they found the loves of their lives! Bonus: A novella at the end with their story!

You will DIE when you listen to this!!!!! So f@cking amazing!

Great stories

This was a great bundle.

I really enjoyed reading all of these men finding their HEA in very sweet and different ways. I like the themes and different obstacles each book tackled.

The bonus story at the end was wonderful and so good to see all them together in such a beautiful way.

This author was recommended to me by my boyfriend's friend, a human I have never met, nor even spoken to. Either my partner gives them lots of detailed information about me/what I read...or this was an incredibly lucky match up.

I read the first book in this series in a single day. The pacing was great for me -- there was just enough exposition to draw me into the plot and develop the characters' back stories without making me feel like I was reading the Gone With the Wind of m/m romance.

I'm not generally a huge fan of explicit sex scenes, but this series did a really good job of balancing the desperation/need of some scenes with caring, sweet scenes that actually developed the characters. There were a few places where I personally felt like there could have just as easily been a fade to black/assumption of sex, but that is a personal preference.

While there is definitely a format and rhythm that each book in the series clearly follows, it didn't feel boring. The characters were developed and felt like realistic people with lives and stories outside of the romance plot lines.

While there weren't openly trans or nonbinary characters in this series, reviews of other books by this author and some of the story lines in this series show that gender non-conforming characters are acknowledged and exist in Davies' other works-- and of course that is something I seek out. (Honestly, there is one specific book in this set where one of the MC *could* have easily been trans, even in the way the sex scenes were written, and I totally imagine him that way -- comment if you think you spotted the same!)

I just finished listening to this series on Audible and I adore it.

Book 4 and 6 are definitely my favorites but overall the entire collection is both fun and sweet.

I have to give a shout out to Greg Boudreaux for the top notch narration. I could honestly listen to him reading the ingredients on the backs of cereal boxes and be transfixed.

3.25 stars.

I listened to the audiobook of this collections (about 37 hours I think) and it was.... fine. If you are looking for an easy, no/low angst, insta-lust/love book, this series is for you.

This collection is about a group of friends, and they call their group"Signifiant Brothers." They have been friends since high school and jokingly referred to themselves as the first Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) because each of them was bi or gay even if they didn't know it at the time. Significant Brothers because their school wouldn't let them buy tickets to a dance (or something like that) because they didn't have significant others, so they said "what about significant brothers."

Each story is pretty formulaic, they all meet their guy, they instantly get this feeling of connection to them/feel like something is "different" about the person. I would describe it as insta lust. I was on Reddit the other day and someone who identifies as Asexual and reads romances made a post about how romance books oftentimes suck at the romance part of the book because they focus so much on the sex. I think for these books I just had to imagine them as shifters who have a soul mate/mate and they can sense it right away. In each book there is either one or 2 evil people

What I really appreciated about these books was that any miscommunications that came about between the two MCs didn't blow out of proportion and the issue was resolved quickly.

I recommend the audiobook especially if you are looking for a series to pass the time while you commute to work, or are doing stuff around the house.

37 hours and 28 minutes of E. Davies brilliant writing and fascinating array of characters voiced by Greg Boudreaux? Like I was ever going to pass on that!

The Significant Brothers are a group of 6 gay/bi friends who've been best friends since high school. They meet once a week or so depending on their schedules and this collection follows each of them as they find love, including their boyfriends into their tight-knit group.

From Nico and Deen, and passing through Blane and Falcon, Oscar and Roman, Dustin and Leo (my favorites), Alec and ending with Tyler and Josh, E. Davies managed to make me fall in love and care for each and every one of these guys. They're all different and yet, they're all looking for the same thing, someone to love and settle down with.

Their stories were fun, with some light angst and a few not so nice characters that kept things interesting. The chemistry between all the couples was out of this world and the sexy times were all hot and varied, which seeing as I listened to all the stories one after the other in a few days, I definitely appreciated.

Greg Boudreaux is such a gifted narrator. His performance was flawless, bringing forth a lot of emotion in the narration and giving each character a distinct voice, which wasn't easy with as many characters that are found here.

This is definitely an audiobook you don't want to miss out on!

The Significant Brothers audiobook series was one I’d been looking at for a long time. I really wanted to purchase the series because I’d seen so many wonderful recommendations, but I just didn’t have the money to get them all at the same time. I’m one of those people that refuses to purchase just one book out of a series if there’s more available, so I set my desire to own these books aside until I could afford it. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to have an audiobook copy of the collection for an honest review of the work. I’m beyond stoked to have been gifted with such an opportunity. So, this is my honest review of the series, I hope you find it helpful.

Just a note before I get started on the series. Normally, when I read or listen to a collection of books I’ll write a short review for each one in the series. I’ve recently discovered that I can’t do that with these longer collections. BoobBub has a ten thousand character limitation for reviews and I always post the same review on multiple sites. Because of that, I’ve had to start watching the length. So, this review will be a quick summary of the overall collection.

This collection is so, so entertaining! The blurbs for each book drew me in and I wasn’t disappointed by any of them while listening to the collection. The characters are all fantastic individuals that are unique. Their personalities all differ in interesting ways that make them seem like real people. They’re all personable people living life to the best of their ability. And, the friendships between the MCs are incredible. It really warms the heart to see how close remain over the years.

The stories are easy, engaging reads. Yes, there is a bit of drama/angst, but for the most part, each book is relatively mild. Each follows it’s own plot filled with a lot of humor, harmless ribbing among friends, and snarky wit that’ll put a smile on your face. Oh, and let’s not forget the incredibly hot, melt your panties sexy times between the MCs. Holy crap, those shmexy scenes were fantastic for me after finish a series with no on-page intimacy.

Both the author and narrator did a great job of bringing us a captivating collection of books. E. Davies created novels willed with love, laughs, and unforgettable characters. Greg Boudreaux, one of my favorite narrators, blew me away with his narration. He knows how to brings emotions through. Greg also does an amazing job of turning up the heat. I couldn’t be any happier with his performance.

I’d highly recommend this series to someone looking for a contemporary romance series filled with entertain characters, solid stories, and loads of laughs. You won’t be disappointed unless you’re looking for a whole bunch of drama/angst.

The Significant Brothers bundle is a contemporary romance series following six high school friends and the men they fall in love with. Each book focuses on one character from the group of friends, plus the love interest of that man. However, all the characters make an appearance in each book, and by the end of the series there’s a mini plot arch about the engagement and wedding for one of the couples. This wedding has it’s own novella that comes at the end of the series, and also acts like a light epilogue for each of the characters.

I adored this series and all the men. These books have an addicting quality to them that I had a hard time putting the bundle down to do mundane things like go to sleep or go to work. It felt like eating a bag of your favorite candy but you just can’t stop until the bag is gone. There’s a lot of romance and fluff throughout the stories, but it’s tempered by drama and light angst. There’s no question in the readers mind that these guys will get their happy ever afters, but the journey to that ever-after is enthralling. E. Davies has a wonderfully smooth writing style that makes the stories flow so well. This writing style also makes it really easy to keep reading and not wanting to stop. Plus, there’s so much good sex scenes throughout the stories. I get all my romance and fluffy feelings plus hot, delicious sex as well as some drama to spice everything up.

Greg Boudreaux narrates this series and does an incredible job. He has to keep twelve different main characters’ voices distinct and consistent throughout this series, and he manages it with flying colors. There was never a point where I was confused with who was talking or doing the action. I followed along with the story quite easily and happily listened to the audiobook well past my bedtime because I just couldn’t stop.

Overall, I highly recommend this series. It’s the perfect listen if you want some happiness, romance, and fluff in your life.

Beautiful, just absolutely beautiful!

This is the first time I’ve listened to this authors audiobook, and Greg Boudreaux does a fantastic job narrating this book.
He really does understand the 7 individual stories and excellently portrays each character, really bringing them to life.

It is so well written by Ed Davies, there isn’t anything to fault for me. He excellently guides you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, as well as sensitively nailing topics such as parental verbal abuse, bullying, as well as other sensitive topics. For someone seemingly so young, he has written a fantastic series of books which have been compiled in this series.

Definitely worth looking out for other titles by this author!

I loved all the stories, but if I had to pick a favourite, then ‘Wintersweet’ would be it.
Especially the transportation of ‘the cake’ and Dustin’s freaking out, and Evan and his quiche tarts - I had tears streaming down my face for ages in hysterical laughter as the image was in my head so clearly!! 🤣😂🤣

Then I shed a few more tears 😭 during the wedding scene and vows - just so beautifully written and narrated, the rawness that Greg exuded truly made it magical.

Definitely a no brainier for 5🌟’s as far as I’m concerned 😊🥰🥰😊

This is both an ebook and audiobook review.

I read book 1 - Splinter - when it first came out. I really enjoyed it and always wanted to listen to it in audio. Colour me ecstatic when I got the chance to listen to the entire series!
Each story has a fun couple, lots of banter, humour, a little angst and loads of heated moments. One half of a couple (in each story) belongs to a group of close knit group and it's fun to see each of the friends fall in love and bring their other half into the fold.
E. Davies wrote characters that I would love to meet IRL and be friends with 😊

Greg Boudreaux is one of my favourite narrators, he's is always a pleasure to listen to. With this series bundle, he is phenomenal! He provides distinct voices to 6 MC's (especially when they gather together), portrays all their emotions and provides some really steamy moments - all the while keeping a cadence. I was really reluctant to stop listening, but work and other chores had to be done (boo!)

The stories showcase love and friendships, two things that can last forever if cherished 🥰
Highly recommended listening!

37 and a half hours of LOVE
Greg's swoonworthy voice, made these books phenominial. The Significant brothers best friends from school finally meet their life partners. Book 1 has Astronaut Nick find love with a Singer Deen, who writes a song on how he feels. Book 2 Vet Blane meets an Artist Falcon at the zoo doing a pic for his sisters upcoming Wedding. Book 3 Pilot Blane meets Oscar a Dancer and love flies.Book 4 Forensic Investigator meets photographer Leo, home from his tour of duty, and now working at the same department as Dustin. Book 5 Flirty BTyler a Racing car driver meets Alec a Pysiotherapist after a Car accident. Book 6 sees Dude Ranch owner Josh, caring for a visitor who was dumped at his Engagement shoot Evan is beside himself, and with the help of Josh realises his Ex was a douche. And then the beautiful Novella Wintersweet, where we see couples getting Engaged and the first couple having a Fairytale Wedding with the help of all the Significant brothers. SUPERB

This review is for the Audiobook collection.

This collection while a good idea is just really badly written. The "I love yous" happen way too fast. I found myself zoning out ALOT during all the stories. Also is it no longer possible for a character to convey something without a "flirtatious wink". Seriously I want to get these guys checked out by an optometrist I think they may all have a severe case of pink eye or something. I've come up with a new drinking game everytime a character winks I do a shot. I don't expect to be sober again till at least May 2021.

The narrator bless his little cotton socks, because he did try, was just awful. The accents for the characters was just awful. His show of character emotion was just so awful it was cringeworthy and took away from the story which it couldn't afford to do as it was just so badly written.
E. Davies is not an author I will be reading again.

Have the books and book bundle, but this review is for the audiobook bundle.
4.5* I loved each of the books when reading them over the last few years, and would recommend the books and audio books having both read and listened to them now. This contains ALL 6 books in the series and a bonus novella at the end - over 37 hours of listening - great value for a single credit!!

Each of these contemporary stories features one of the men in a group of friends and the men they fall in love with. The stories and characters are well written with quirky personalities, and the stories overall do a good job in representing the geography of East Tennessee.

The audio version was well done, and Greg Boudreaux was the perfect narrator for this series. I think one my favorite things about their narration is that you feel immersed in the scenes, especially those during sexy times *fans self*.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection - some stories more than others, (Splinter, Trace & Tremble were my favs), and it's probably not remotely realistic for a group of characters like this to exist all together in the world, but it was a nice escape. There's a lot of humor, a lot of cheesiness but not so much that I couldn't take it, and enough seriousness to keep me binging through to see how things would turn out.
Greg's narration was quite good - a few of the characters, at least the locals, probably should've had stronger accents being from Tennessee, (a few did have distinct accents), but with 10 different men as main characters, Greg had his work cut out for him.
After listening to this series on a straight binge for the past 2 or 3 weeks, I am really glad for the spin-off series, Brooklyn Boys, though I will really miss these core characters.

I absolutely love this collection! All of the stories are incredible and all of the characters are spectacular, I can't pick a favorite, they're all too good. I love watching each significant brother find their perfect match and get their HEA. It;s great that not only they each find their perfect partner, but that they all get along and really become one big family. The added bonus of the novella is wonderful because it gives you a glimpse of each couple and a beautiful wedding that brought tears to my eyes. I would love to see more weddings in the future. The narrator expertly portrayed all of the characters and did a wonderful job with all of the stories. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

I listened to this collection in Audiobook and it was the BEST LIFE DECISION EVER. E. Davies' writing paired with Greg Boudreaux's phenomenal narration? Heaven. Actual Heaven. I even got a little upset when the series came to an end because I just wanted more.

The characters were all beautifully developed, their personalities and backstories so well plotted, and seeing every member of the Significant Brothers friendship circle find their happy endings was incredibly satisfying. I don't think I could pick a favourite from the series at all, though I developed a bit of a soft spot for Blane. Oh, and Leo! And...and...okay, I loved them all.

These books had everything. Humour, heart, smexy goodness... I think I need to listen to them again.

I listened to the first book a long time ago, and I rather liked it.
The narration by Greg Boudreaux was fantastic as always, his voice is like silk and his accent and talent with emotional timing are superb.

These books are fun, low angst, full of quirky characters and very steamy.
I think my favorite was book #2 because of all the cute zoo animals. The group of Significant Brothers is a lively one, I liked how they each had an interesting profession that was described and researched well.
It did seen like all the book followed the same pattern, and after listening to 6 in a row it got a bit old....
I would say these book are a great palate cleansers from more emotional reads.

This is a review of the audio version of the collection. E. Davies says in interviews that he loves mixing tropes and in this boxed set, we get access to all sorts of them mixed together as only Ed can. We have playboys finding the one who makes them settle down for good, we have several versions of hurt/comfort and more. If you have read/listened to the Hart's Bay series where Greg Boudreaux brought E. Davies' characters to life brilliantly, you know what to expect here. Hours and hours of romance, great use of tropes, hot, hot scenes and Greg's perfect voice performances. Grab this one immediately!

A siginificantly significant collection

Wonderful way to be introduced to E. Davies' writing. The signidicant brothers collection takes us to the journey of love by a each member of a group of high school friends. Different personalities that would easily clash with each other being pulled together by a love so strong and unexpected that you fall in love with each couple. The stories are intricately woven but all standalones that at the end you will wish you were part of the circle of brotherhood and family that they have created. An MM collection that you would surely need to have a permanent spot i your kindle library.

While I loved each and every book individually (especially when narrated by the silver toungued Greg Boudreau) as a series it's rather repetitive and predictable. Both in plot and in the characters Responses. Most notably the more erotic scenes were rather unimaginative and one note. The constant simultaneous orgasms became rather unbelievable very quickly. All in all the story itself was good and made me laugh and smile alongside each character and fall in love with everyone. Would definitely suggest giving it a read.

Audiobook review:
This is a fantastic collection of contemporary books centered around a group of friends. I loved the meaning of the Significant Brothers. Each story is about one of the brothers finding love. I enjoyed the range of characters and their various careers and personalities. Each story also had some type of conflict that kept each pair on their toes. Greg Boudreaux did an amazing job with each character. I can only imagine how hard it must have been to voice twelve main characters plus additional supporting characters. Wonderful series!

What an enjoyable listen! This series has everything you look for in romance; great characters (even some of the unlikable ones!), low-angst, funny moments, supportive families and some family drama, fabulous friendships and the HEA. For the audio version - Greg Boudreaux is a master voice actor and did such a great job giving voice to each character. I've enjoyed every moment and and just found a new favorite author and narrator team. Worth. Every. Second. Five stars isn't enough...worth much more.

I really can’t say enough about this series.

I have read all the books and I had the chance to review the audio books narrated by Michael Dean and let me just say he exceeded all my expectations!

Each book brings us stories for a group of friends who have stayed in touch since high school. The setting is near and dear to my heart, in and around Knoxville, TN. Each character is unique, no two have the same profession, which keeps everything new and fresh.

Highly recommended.

Significant brothers is a story of people finding their own family without blood connection. I love the concept of a family can be created not necessarily what your born in to.
All brothers find their love in different ways and they take care of each other on this journey
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Good dialogues
Sweet attraction building up to love.

Narrator:
Clear pronunciation for the most part and read with feelings

Oh my gosh. What a wonderfully sweet set of books. Found and chosen families are some of my favorite subjects and these books about a group of guys friends since high school is so good. This will become one of my comfort reads from now on. Lots of fun, laughter, and love. Low angst and happy endings. Just awesome. Nico and Deen are my favorite couple out of this.
