Bourbon Street Shorts by Deanna Chase contains six Jade Calhoun novellas. They are a delight to read. I laughed frequently while devouring these short stories. I thought they were well-written with quirky characters, humor, and magical mayhem. It is hard to pick a favorite because I enjoyed all of them, but I really loved Spirits, Hurricanes, and the Krewe of Ghoul. Ida May, the resident ghost, never fails to disappoint. Jade Calhoun and her husband, Kane are a dynamic couple and Jade with her bestie, Pyper manage to get into trouble just walking down the street. I enjoyed reading these holiday stories (Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day) featuring the characters from this delightful series. Bourbon Streets Shorts is a diverting collection with magic, mayhem, and amusement.

I absolutely love Jade’s world!! I love escaping into her world. Seeing the whole gang, Kane and Pyper. If you have followed Jade this is a collection of 6 short stories. They are told around holidays which is always fun to escape to when you are in a holiday mood. As always Jade and her gang do not disappoint. Mayhem follows them everywhere and like usual there is humor, fast paced, and action as well. It’s a great collection to add to your already growing collection of the Jade Calhoun series.

I am a huge fan of the Jade Calhoun Series as well as the Pyper Rayner series this is a set of short stories that take place with these characters. I Absolutely Love all of these stories and cannot reccommend them enough You also get Ida Mae which is Laugh out Loud Funny!

I have been provided with a copy of Bourbon Street Shorts (Jade Calhoun Series Book 10) by the author for an impartial review. This box set has six short stories that are in the Jade Calhoun Universe. These are the titles included in this box set Engaged off Bourbon Street, Spirits of Bourbon Street, A Miracle on Bourbon Street, A Bourbon Street Valentine, Spirits, Hurricanes, and the Krewe of Ghoul, and Kissed by Temptation. I’ll be updating this box set as I finish each title.

Engaged off Bourbon Street

This is a short story in the Jade Calhoun series that takes place between Demons of Bourbon Street and Angels of Bourbon Street. In this short story we see what Jade can get herself up to during the Christmas holiday. This short story was just so cute and I really wish there had been more. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Hexed On Bourbon Street:
She's PG, wedding planner times two, and enjoying a lull in the evil magic world--not for long. How could consulting for a young star look like a real witch on her TV show ruin all that calm?

With Jade who knows? We do know it's gonna be complicated and all her friends are gonna be there for her. And they are! Kane is worried about her condition and his baby and wife. Her friends are all involved with the wedding planning but always there for her. Then, of course, the council, angels, ghosts, and who know what else are gonna make life in New Orleans in danger and only she can save them.

That's just one of the wonderful adventures with the whole family of friends and magic will entertain and keep you reading.

I don’t usually enjoy novellas, but these were short, sweet, and to the point which made them enjoyable. All your favorite Jade and Pyper characters are there, along with some new ones. These short stories are more bonuses in between the other main books in the series, and I wouldn’t say they’re 100% required to understand the series, though they’re a nice treat.

My main critiques for the shorts are that they’re in this collection, so you’d have to stop the main series to start the short that fills in between the other books to truly get the full experience. They can be a bit confusing since reading them back to back isn’t necessarily in order. And the final story features some characters I was unfamiliar with since I haven’t finished the entire Jade series, but that’s my fault for not doing so. But at the same time, putting them together as a set does make them a better deal than selling them individually. If you enjoy both series’, you’ll also enjoy these shorts.

I have the individual stories in this awesome book! It was a pleasure rereading them again as I read about Jade, Pyper and Mati and their male counterparts. You have magic, mystery, action and romance! The stories will keep your interest that you will find it hard to put down the book. In fact I was so involved in reading that what usually happens to me is that my eyes close because my body and brain have shut down and I have fallen asleep. I never put a book down that I am reading until I finish it!
So I think you will find the stories very interesting and you will want to finish this excellent collection of stories by Deanna Chase!

I love the world of Jade Calhoun, but I have to admit to not being a huge fan of short stories. However, I make an exception when it comes to this series. These are wonderful shorts to help pass the time before the larger books, and they also fill in some gaps and information. You get to know the characters better, and they are wonderfully entertaining. These are great, and you need to try them especially if you are already a fan of the series. Highly recommend!

This story will have you listening till the very end. It’s another series by Deanna Chase. Each story takes place with a crowd gathering for a special event. Halloween, Xmas , valentines. This story has Jade, Ida May and Pyer on their heels needing to save the people that mean the world to them.

Gabra Zackman performance is fantastic. She brought each character to life. She’s great with this series.

This collection of short stories is a hoot to read. It fills in a lot of gaps between the main novels of this series. My favorite is the Halloween short where the party gets hijacked but some ghost. No spoilers, so you have to read it for yourself. Jade and her crew are always a fun world to visit and I hope there is more coming soon.

This collection of short stories is a great read all in one place! It fills in a lot of gaps between the main novels of this series. Jade and the gang are always up for another mystery and these ones give a little bit of a deeper look into their lives and give an insight into how things have happened between the books. No spoilers, so you I recommend you read it for yourself.

This is a collection of short stories that span 3 series: Jade Calhoun, Pyper Rayne, and Ida May. I have not read any of these series, and I was still able to enjoy the collection. it was nice to be able to read a collection from various main characters. I am giving 4.5 out of 5 stars. The stories are fun, but I would have liked a little more of a cozy undertone (just personal preference).

6 great short stories in one book! I enjoyed listening to the stories, each one was unique and entertaining. I loved being able to visit Jade, Kat, Pyper, and Mati, getting a few more details of their lives. Definitely worth reading!

I wove these in with the main books so they worked really well. Goodreads gives you the reading order. It's nice to have that little bit extra back ground to how certain events unfold with the main stories. Win win

Mixed bag
