This was possibly the worst book I've ever read. He will claim it is because I am a snowflake and thus have melted under the fury of his regard, but I assure you, even if none of the bigotry was present it would be a horrible book. Even if I were myself a bigot and so appreciated all of the bigotry as a value--add, it would be a horrible book. It was so horrible that I wrote several thousand words about how horrible it was that wouldn't fit in this review section. You can read it here:

Interesting

A mix of action and science fantasy. A world where political correctness has run amok.
A world totally dependent on its government for subsistence where all of the current political theories have been allowed to blossom. The story of ghost hunter vs ghost villains is overshadowed by the relentless political world. A long story that make one think.
