Come to this board meeting, he said. It’ll be no big deal, he said...

My name is Delaney Manon, token good girl who gave up her dreams as a makeup artist and vlogger to work at Manon Publishing. I’d have lost my mind long ago if it wasn’t for girls’ nights with my three besties.

My father and I have always had a tense relationship, and when he calls me into the boardroom for a ‘quick and simple’ meeting, it’s anything but. They seem to think that a wholesome engagement will change the company’s image. What does this have to do with me, you ask?

Well, Dad’s offering my hand in marriage to the son of one of his three business partners.

The problem? All three think they’re the groom-to-be, and I want absolutely nothing to do with the stuffy, pampered men and this whole debacle. But what my father says… goes. He knows how to get me to do what he wants, and this time I can’t seem to find a way out of it.

Will I be able to convince the guys that this is a terrible plan and get my father to stop using my dreams against me, or will I end up tying the knot for good?

Book 2 of the Besties & Booze shared universe. The Besties & Booze Series is a WhyChoose/Reverse Harem shared universe meaning the female main character in the story doesn't have to choose between her love interests. Each book ends in a HEA and can be read separately, but it is recommended to read in order.

I’m not sure light and fluffy books are for me anymore. I used to devour them, now I’m struggling to get through them. While the bad guys in this book are way over the top, and the instalove totally predictable, I do love the friendship these girls have. With the series being called Besties and Booze, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there is a lot of booze in the story, but I think that aspect was seriously overdone. You can have a conversation with a friend without having to get drunk. You don’t need to sneak alcohol in flasks with you on every outing you have. It made the girls seem like borderline alcoholics.

I love me a good RH, but I tend not to really enjoy contemporary romance as much as since so many of the unrealistic and unrelatable. Which is why I mostly go for urban fantasy style RH for sassy heroines, sexy alpha males and lets not forget the drama! That being said, I absolutely love Jarica James' other series, so I thought, ok I'll give it a chance. Somehow, I managed to read this book completely out of order and read it before the first in the series... Even with the mishap, I was able to jump right in to the story with no problems at all and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really enjoyed her new series Besties & Booze! There's a bit of backstory and overlapping of characters for the other books, but it's done so smoothly that you're not wondering what you're missing or ruining the plot of the other books by accidently reading them out of order like I did. I just love the Besties and how each of them have their own little personality quirks and flaws they're all dealing with making them so easy to relate too and rooting for their own Happily Ever Afters! In this particular book, Delaney and her guys are thrown into a situation that could have turned out so differently. I only wish there was more antics with Remi and Charlie, he just loves the pup and I could totally see them getting into all kinds of mischief. Hint, hint... Maybe something to think of for a reunion story!

Romance at its finest. This book was a breath of fresh air. It was a difficult horrible situation but they handled it with grace and poise. This book shows Del or Delaney be pretty much betrayed by her monster of a father as he holds all she cares for under duress with the ultimatum that she marries a son of one of the board members of his company. But its not one but 3 very different men who show up to her house and basically they never left. I enjoyed that they were a little hesitant and that they showed real feelings. I truly enjoyed the POVs of each male and how they come to care for Delaney who is a spitfire. I love that they decided to give the whole situation a shot and they were definitely happy they did. But i cant not talk about the 3 best friends a girl could have. I loved they had code words and girls nights and im actually pretty jealous of their girls nights. I mean could you do any better than 4 besties in tutus alcohol, glitter paint of a certain body part and pineapples...So many pineapples....Are you wondering about the pineapples? Then read this book. Its a great journey of love, encouragement and friendship and oh we cant forget the steaminess...

It's always a breath of fresh air to read a lovely little rom-com RH after finishing a long dark romance series. And these Besties and Booze stories are amazing!!! I wish I could be friends with this whole group of ladies. I love how much was written of their dynamic, their codewords, and that whole drunken Bachelorette party was a wild ride. I'm very concerned for their livers.
A nice light and fluffy break before delving back into the dark and depraved. A quick read and I was in tears laughing through 75% of it!!
They are standalone but it's definitely better to read them in order, all the inside jokes are worth it, and already knowing some of the besties personalities makes it so much more enjoyable.

Thought it was a fun read. Loved the relationship between the group. No unnecessary over the top angst and denial with the guys. An easy romance dynamic. Hated her dad and his lackey obviously and was happy with the ending re to dad. Her relationship with the besties was sweet and empowering. Del is sweet, down to earth, and self sacrificing without being too Mary Sue. She's got fire and a backbone despite her sweet appearance. Loved how supportive they were of each other. Overall a great easy romance, appreciate it after my slump of less than stellar options where all the characters are horrible or annoying.

The 2nd books of the Besties & Booze series is just as fun as the 1st. While they each work alone it is better to read them in order to avoid spoilers.
The FMC is forced into an arranged marriage by her father who manages to screw up and give her 3 potential husbands rather than 1. In this universe there is a law allowing polyamory marriages to be legal so that barrier is out of the way straight off.
Each guy is an individual but Miles was my favourite, his sweetness not making him a doormat.
Lots of fun with a side of steam

When a girl finds herself forced into an arranged marriage, what is she supposed to do but call on her besties to break out the booze? Arranged marriages were common throughout history, and in some places are still practiced, so when Jarica put a contemporary twist on something that most of us would never consider - with an added bonus of a trio of hot men for the FMC - it shows that love can be found even in the most unexpected situations, as long as you've got your besties by your side when you break out the handcuffs and pineapples. Another fun must-read to add to your collection!

When an arranged marriage becomes the chance of a lifetime!

Such an amazingly sweet and funny read!
Delaney and her guys are so awesome. Right from the start they’re basically all in. I love how the guys are so supportive of Del’s make-up/beauty vlog. I loved reading from the guys’ POVs and learning bits about their relationships with their own fathers. The fact that they all disliked Del’a dad from before they even knew her was a bonus too. (; I definitely loved this book and this series as a whole, totally recommend!!

DNF. This could have begun with a loving father that convinces her he wouldnt hurt her. That she had an out but then she ends up wanting it all. But, no. Shes blackmailed & bullied. She is so unbelievably threatened with violence & sexual assault by an evil caricature of a coworker yet doesnt report him to police, nevermind HR or the board when she meets them soon after. The beginning is beyond disgusting yet Im supposed to want to read more? She has outside support yet gives in to her gross sperm donor instead? Unbelievable & unappealing.

Light & fluffy & toothache inducing sweet to the point where it's so over the top and unrealistic.
This book is NOT a paranormal romance, nor is it a mafia book, nor is it fantasy, nor is it any other sort of romance book that requires an extremely high suspension of disbelief.
It's meant to be more contemporary, and that's where it fails because everything is so fake feeling and unbelievable that it was annoying.

It's not the worst thing I've ever read so it's not one-star, but it's definitely not good and completely forgettable.
2/5 stars.

This series

This series is everything! This second book was so much fun to read, yes they had their issues but they had fun in the meantime and although real life won't be so easy I love reading about it being so easy!

Jarica made this one her own and gave Lainy her own voice! And I love it! Her three men so different from each other and them learning about each other was fun to read.

On to the next one I'm invested in this series now

Actually a DNF for me. This was supposed to be a light hearted, fun read. Instead I’m bogged down with a bad guy and inconsistent character representation. Idk, I just don’t think there has to be anything extra complicated here, you don’t NEED a bad guy. Just the hassle of an arranged marriage was plot enough, honestly.

I might try the last two, hopefully those authors didn’t make their books more complicated than necessary.

Delaney father offered her hand in marriage to the three son of his board at Manon Publishing. Remi, Vance and Miles think they are the choose one. This book was funny and sweet. Jarica has a way of writing that sucks you in and you don't want to put the book down. This is part of the Besties & Booze shared universe and can be read separately but is recommended to be read in order.

Oh goodness, this book had everything. Delaney and her guys were absolute perfection and I loved seeing them from their first meeting to falling into a comfortable relationship. This book has delightful steamy bits, lots of laughs, and enough drama to make it a real page turner. As with the first book in this shared world, Delaney and her besties really boosted my enjoyment of the story!

Another glorious standalone!

This was just perfect! RH romcom standalone in a shared world with other RH authors. This just hit the spot. In a world of waiting on series to be released, these rapid release standalones are excellent to fill the gaps. Beaus in the literary world have never been so delicious! Can’t wait to start book 3! 💜

Best in the series so far

This is book 2 in the Besties and Booze series. They are all in the same world with different authors and this one had the best FMC and suspense elements. It’s a strangers to family kind of reverse harem. There’s bad guys and good guys and making the best out of awful situations. I loved it.

Loved this installment! Delaney is definitely someone you can relate to with a big heart and all the sass. Her men are funny, steamy, and just what Del needs to strengthen her confidence in herself. Read this amazing book, you'll love it!

Arranged Review - AWESOME!!

Arranged is the second book in the Besties & Booze shared world and is written by Jarica James. I already love Jarica's other works, but I 100% fell in love with Delaney, Miles, Vance, and Remi right from the start all the way through the end.

Love it

This was a fun story. Delaney and her besties are once again showing that friends are for life. An arranged marriage with the BFF seal of approval makes for an entertaining story. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Really great!

The second in the series of besties and booze is just as delightful as the first. We get to see what happens in an arranged marriage for Delaney. The ending is so satisfying as well. Fun and lighthearted read

Delaney... this book was not what I expected... IT WAS BETTER. The men! The friendships! THE PINEAPPLES! Delaney proves to us that we do not cow to no man. We are women. Hear us roar! But seriously, this book was amazing and I highly recommend!

Second book in a multi -author-verse. I liked this book a lot more than the first book. First time reading this author and I liked her writing style. Good continuation of the series.

I read this book for a challenge, where we had to cross of the trope arranged marriage. And this one did the trick.
It was an okay book. I liked the FMC and her besties. The author made me hate the people who she wanted the reader to hate and love the main characters and the side characters.
