Really Easy to Follow Instructions
Definitely learned a lot. Did not have a clue about macrame until now. Macrame can be used for decor, jewelry, clothing, etc. There are a lot of different knots and patterns that can be imbued. Fabric, yarn, leather, just about anything can be used to let your artistic side out. Some patterns are easy enough to do while others really take a little bit of time to get down. Square knots are pretty simple for a beginner. Author wrote this book for beginners and experienced people who enjoy doing macrame. This is a great read and gain ideas to decorate or accessorize. Great book!

I found this book to have numerous options of crafts to make. I really like the step by step pictures included among the instructions for the visual learner. There is many choices of crafts to make from pillows to plant and walk hangings. If you like to make things and use them to decorate around your house then this book could be a good option for you!

Wonderful DIY book
I absolutely love Macrame, but had zero idea how to do it. And this book fit the bill of teaching an absolute beginner how to macrame. What I loved was that there were pictures.with nearly every step. For a complete newbie that is so important. I also like the variety of prrojects given. There was pillow covers, plant hangers, and even wall art. There really is a wide range. A great DIY resource that is easy to follow.

Learning about knots!!
I chose this rating because of the description of the projects was so nice. I loved reading about the different projects you could do and having the time to do them, I would love to. I learned about the different knots and the projects that have these knots. Seeing the different things you could make from a plant holder, to a wall art, and then to a bracelet.

Great patterns
This book has several simple patterns for beginners. Best of all, pictures to see what the knots look like! Some of the pictures were not great and it was a bit difficult to tell what the knot should look like, but overall they were quite helpful. Lots of simple projects to do too, from jewelry to plant hangers to hammocks.

Plant Holders
Wish I had found this book before I returned to work! I definitely will not have the time to devote to it now. I would like to make a few plant holders for my aunt. The book is very thorough and explains how to make the knots and everything. Good guude to get started.

Excellent beginners manual
I enjoyed the large number of pictures included showing step by step instructions. Instructions are clearly written with both simple and more ambitious projects

Revisiting Macreme
I did not think this craft would return. I long ago forgot how to do this and considered trying to find directions. This book gives me new ideas of things to make and new materials to use. Never considered a pillow cover

Excellent!
My kids and I have had a blast learning about macrame. They are so much better than i am at the knots! They were able,to follow the step by step directions and make the plant holder. Love how,this book was detailed, it made learning easy and fun!
