A string of terrifying murders. A harrowing mystery. Renowned FBI profiler, Ben Forrester thought his days of hunting the worst of society were behind him until a taunting video message found at a crime scene in a family home draws him back to New York. Now tasked with investigating a killer who commits a gruesome murder every twenty-four hours and leaves a baffling clue to his next victim, Ben will have no choice but to play. With the help of Detective Dakota Woods, he must uncover the connection, discover the motive, and solve the most troubling case ever. 50 States of Murder Thrillers are standalone novels for those who love F.B.I. thrillers, jolting plot twists, and heart-pounding suspense.
This was a sequel to the Maine Murders and returning characters FBI agent, Ben Forrester, and police detective, Dakota Woods regarding a previous case that Ben worked as a young police officer, before he joined the FBI and became a renowned profiler. A lot of intense crime scenes and bizarre twists and games from the villain to keep the reader interested, just like the first book.
I look forward to the next book in the series but, I wonder if it will include Ben and Dakota again. I will be interesting to see if Mills will pull on cases from Ben's past FBI career to continue with the 50 states of murder or if Mills will introduce new MC's.
I am new to this wonderful author, Jon Mills. I can’t believe I have not found you before now. I am so excited though with having a long list of “good books” just waiting for me. Tired of re -reading Connelly and Grisham! There is a new Author in my life now! I do love Mills way of telling the story and I really love a Great Series. Better late than never. Off I go on a definite reading binge😁❣️
New York Murders is a fast paced work that kept me entertained start to finish. Ben Forrester, our FBI consult main character, faces his toughest serial killer yet. For some reason Ben is called out and taunted by this madman to play his game. If he loses he dies. The longer the game goes on the more innocents die. Read it. Five stars!
and I had a hard time getting into it. I even stopped reading it for a few days and then went back to it. It’s a well-told story about a serial killer and the FBI agent/profiler who wanted to find him. There’s very good character development of both the good guy and the sick bad guy and a good job of wrapping it up for understanding the why of it all.
This is the first book I have read by this author, am looking forward to reading more. The characters are developed well. The storyline is great. A who did it where you aren't able to guess or solve the mystery. Its a game between killer and profiler. Great read
Great storyline. had me guessing all the way through the book and i like it like that. Love the pairing of Ben and Emily. I want it to work out for them plz! Keep your great novels coming cuz i am hooked!
Another great read in the series. I totally missed the clues as to how it all fit together as I was too busy reading. We find out a bit more about Dakota's background in this and Ben still fights coming back to the FBI yet he is needed.
Well, here's another good, very tricky mystery by Mr Mills! I like his odd couple of Ben and Dakota. They're friendship is charming, but they certainly do get the job done. The killer in this one is truly devious.
This was really an exciting book to read. I had trouble putting it down. The characters Ben and Dakota are very likeable and I am sure there will be more stories about them.
Excellent serial killer thriller. This book has lots of twists that keep you glued to your kindle. I like Jon Mills I will read more of his work. I recommend
I enjoyed this book & the first one with Ben Forrester. Interesting characters & lots of action. I think there should be more books with these same characters.
An exciting, can't put it down, story that will keep you guessing. The plot is great and the characters are interesting. A must read for all mystery fans.
I greatly enjoyed the book. Loved how it flowed easily and didn't bounce around to the point that I'd get lost. Long enough to keep you interested. Thank you. ☺️
