I appreciate Molly’s bravery in sharing some of her most vulnerable moments. By her opening up, I felt that I was able to connect immediately with her and her life experiences. I undoubtedly respect her recognition of all those who helped lift her up and her writing this book to encourage us to do the same for ourselves and others.

This is such a great and easy read. Molly keeps you engaged and provides take-aways/resources throughout the book. It is very interactive in that there are exercises for you to choose from that allows you to do a bit of self-identify and self-labeling with the option to make changes/adjustments. I learned a lot of new things about women in general, but most importantly about myself.

Given one word to describe this book: Relatable.

I've lost count of how many times Molly's words were reading directly from my own mind. Not only did this book offer a safe space to wander through my own reflections about myself, my relationships at home, work, and with friends, and how I show up in the world, it provided a lot of clarity and applicable exercises to reconnect with the values I want in my life.

Molly's story will resonate with so many women, and reminds us how similar we are as women as well as how to celebrate and honor our differences. This book is a wonderful journey -- may every woman find joy on through the adventure!

I 100% recommend this book! Molly has created a brilliant compilation of personal stories, quotes, and action steps to inspire each of us to step up and be the best version of ourselves. Her passion for making a difference and vision of changing the world are palpable.

This book radiates authenticity and vulnerability, offering straightforward tasks and introspective questions for our own mindset evaluation and development, inviting impactful change from scarcity and competition to abundance and inclusion.

For those of us who struggle with self-love and acceptance, feelings of inadequacy, or fear of judgment and criticism, this book not only reminds us that we are not alone, but cultivates a culture of community, strength, and empowerment. A must-read for women and girls everywhere!

As a librarian who teaches women’s self-defense in my off-hours, this title got my attention right away. I wasn’t familiar with Girls Gone Strong but definitely am interested in learning more about it now.

The title discusses a set of principles that influence all of us women (whether we want them to or not) and how we can set out to change that for ourselves and others. Rather than a lot of books that just preach at you or tell you “do this!”, this book reads like a girlfriend to girlfriend chat. There are mindful questionnaires to get you thinking about your life and these too read like a friend saying “come on, girl, what is it you REALLY want?”

After working and refining yourself, the book expands to helping other women do the same. It gives concrete examples and directions for how to help the community of women around you become the best they can possibly be. This is one of those books, I really want to get in the hands of every teenager to help them see their value early and every adult woman to remind her who she was before the world convinced her to be something different.

First, let me just say that as a very-long-time member of the Girls Gone Strong movement—a global movement Molly co-created—I’ve been excited about this book for as long as I’ve known Molly was writing it. I am a true believer in the philosophy and the calls to action at the heart of her book because for as long as I’ve been part of this community of extraordinary women, that’s what Molly and others in this community have role modeled, that’s what I’ve experienced on the receiving end, that’s what I’ve witnessed happening between other women, and that’s what has become a way of life for me—doing my best every day to live in alignment with this philosophy. The effects of (and opportunities for) lifting other women up are everywhere I look thanks to Molly and the community she and the GGS team have built through the Girls Gone Strong movement.

It was impossible for me to read this book passively. Not that I was ever going to try, ha! I knew that if Molly was writing a book, it was going to be active reading, with plenty of opportunities to take what I was learning off the page and into the world. Nothing passive about it!

I was delighted to discover just what an excellent job Molly has done in laying out the concept of lifting other women up—what it means, what it can look like, and how we can begin to embody this principle. She illustrates the various ideas in the book not only by telling her own stories (warts and all as the saying goes!) but also by sharing the stories and experiences of so many other women across all walks of life.

And storytelling isn’t even the half of it.

In every chapter, Molly includes questions to help us dig deeper, and she gives us space (literally, space right there in the book!) to write our notes and thoughts, so it serves as a journal for introspection and planning. She provides blueprints, prompts, and sample dialogues, so it serves as a guide for defining clear next steps unique to each of us so we can take action in ways that feel authentic to us.

And through it all, in writing this book the way she did, Molly is role modeling on practically every page what it looks like to lift other women up. In short, this philosophy calls on us to see, celebrate, feel empathy and show compassion for, and walk with one another. Doing so is how we lift each other up.

Throughout this book, Molly invites us to: explore our relationship to scarcity mindset and how to move beyond it; dig into uncomfortable feelings like comparison, jealousy, defensiveness and learn strategies we can use to navigate those feelings in ways that help everyone rise; work through self-doubt; honor our own voice and learn ways to ensure others' voices are also heard; identify and enforce boundaries for ourselves and others; define our values and use them as our compass in challenging situations… and so. much. more.

Bonus: there are even more resources and tools available for download that complement the ideas in each chapter.

This book is a perfect example (she’ll say imperfect) of Molly using her superpower to help you identify and use yours in the service of lifting all of us up.

If we all embrace this philosophy and resolve to move forth in our lives with the intention of lifting other women up, well, wow… There are gonna be some serious, world-changing ripple effects.

OH. And now that I have also listened to the audiobook, I have to say that version of the book is a treat and a half! Molly goes off script a few times, and it really does feel at times like you're just hanging out with a friend who's not only a great storyteller but a world-champion hype woman. Hard to walk away from listening to this book (straight through or in sections) without feeling inspired to show up, to lift up.

Y'all. This book is WONDERFUL. It provides not only inspiration but also reason for introspection. And it actually gives you exercises and tools to do that introspection work. You can tell Molly Galbraith really focused on making the book actionable. And I love the underlying message. For me personally, the idea of the Scarcity Mindset really hit home. And now that I have a name for it, it's crazy how much I notice it and get to actively work to dismantle it. I really feel like it's changed my perspective on so many things, and even changed many of my relationships for the better.

To sum up, I loved it. This is definitely one I'm going to be coming back to again and again when I need a dose of inspiration. 100% recommend.

This book is so powerful! It is filled with so much wisdom and insight around how to support women and “lift” each other up, while strengthening our own sense of self. Throughout the book, Molly lays the foundation for identifying one’s scarcity mindset and overcoming comparison and jealousy, which keeps each of us from living our best lives and hinders our ability to fully support the women around us. She guides the reader through various exercises to identify our core values and offers specific, actionable content that empowers the reader to make positive changes in our lives and the lives of women around us. Interwoven throughout the practical advice, Molly introduces us to her life, family, friends and mentors and offers “Spotlights” of amazing women actively lifting others up. She offers a candid glimpse into the world that shaped her into the strong, powerful woman she is today. There is so much that I loved about this book, but I think my favorite thing is Molly acknowledges that there is no “one size fits all” model. Rather, she emphasizes the idea that we are all different and unique and we each have our own “thing” (or things) that we can do to empower ourselves and others. I highly recommend this book to all of my friends, family and colleagues!

In this book, you'll read stories from Molly's life where she parses out the most important "to do's" to break down your own self-doubt, comparison, jealously, and scarcity mindset, and get incredibly solid in your values and your superpowers so that you can be part of the powerful ripple effect of lifting other women up. This book is equal parts relatable stories, helpful suggestions, and workbook aimed at lifting you up, and all the women you interact with as a result.

I've been a part of Girls Gone Strong for the last six years, and in that period of time I have seen Molly walk the talk of being a strong woman lifting others up. Everything she's written in the book rings true to who she is, what she's about, and how she navigates the world. Molly is an incredible role model and believes that each of us are too. For me, the perfect non-fiction book provides a mix of the author's personal experiences, suggested action steps, and resources and references for further exploration of the topic. Molly Galbraith's new book "Strong Women Lift Each Other Up" knocks it out of the park on all three. In her ultra-relatable style, Molly walks you through her experiences and how she has changed her mindset on many elements of how she relates to other women, then follows it up with super easy tips and exercises so you can use your unique strengths and personal values to create a better life. What's especially great are the incremental changes suggested by each exercise - allowing you to gradually implement these concepts, starting from where you're at. For example, I walked away from the book with great suggestions on overcoming the scarcity mindset and defensive voice in my own head.

Molly also includes a TON of data and references, along with quotes and stories from other awesome women, all of which reinforce her concepts and provides the reader with additional resources. It also demonstrates the ripple effect created when women choose to lift each other up, rather than view others in their industry as competition. This is a book that will make a perfect gift to many other women in my life, and I look forward to discussing it with them! (ARC received from the author)

Firstly I chose this book because I liked it the cover and the title . I felt checked and inspired by this book as it highlighted the power of women working together and being there for each other. The book gives concrete examples of what we each can do to help the amazing women around us . Molly also sells the ideas in the book in stories and it has occasions it dabbles as a workbook. This book belongs on every woman's shelf!

This is a beautiful book for all women that oozes authenticity and empowerment in all the necessary ways. I met Molly in 2004 while we worked together in a restaurant. At that time, I was able to witness her the inception of her fitness journey from the start and was inspired by her personal dedication but more than that, the way that she evolved as she grew knowledge not only in fitness but how to show kindness and love not only to herself but to every other woman around her.

As a former fitness professional and now full time corporate leader, I cannot wait to share this book and it’s messages with my team members and the other women that I have the privilege of working with. If you think you’ve read every ladies “self help/ empowerment book” out there, you haven’t. Don’t sleep on this one. And do yourself a favor and purchase the physical copy. This work is not just about spewing knowledge, but empowering you to ACT on that knowledge and inspire other women to do the same by creating a flow of action. Grab a hi-lighter, some tabs and your favorite non bleeding pen and get ready to challenge yourself to think deep and examine the way you treat yourself and other women.

If it’s a self-help book, I’ve probably read it… I love learning what makes people tick. In all my time reading through these kind of books, I typically get a ton of interesting stories, stats, and experiment results — but when I’m done reading, I find myself trying to sift through the info and pull out something I can actually use myself.

“Strong Women Lift Each Other Up” just blows all other books out of the water with giving you something you can start doing RIGHT NOW — whether that's turning inward and thinking hard about the kind of person you are or want to become, or turning outward and looking for ways to become a champion for all women (the easiest way being to start with your own network of family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances).

I consider myself to be a relatively self-aware person. But I found myself searching for areas in my life where I was doing “okay” and where I could really step up my game. Do I help women? Yes, of course. Am I capable of doing more to make sure women are seen, supported, and represented in this world? Absolutely. I think we all are.

In the first part of the book, Molly walks you through any personal roadblocks you may be struggling with, hiding in the corners of your mind and heart. (And to be fair, she shares hers as well.) But she talks to you like your best friend would — giving you honesty, compassion, and the grace to explore what this all means to you.

In the second half, you get a ton of ways you can help other women with the resources at your disposal — time, money, skills, network… There are SO many things we all can do to lift women up. I’ve already become conscious of a lack of representation in the books on my bookshelf, for example. I had Brené Brown there (love her!), but other women authors? Not so much. Now I’m consciously spending my time and money seeking out and supporting women authors, women booksellers, women artists. The list just keeps growing!

I think EVERY woman should own a copy of this book; we are all capable of more than we know! Molly is right there in the pages — encouraging us to be true to ourselves, to come together with other women, and to do what we're meant to do, because we’re capable of changing the world.

I saw this book at Target and it called to me. At first I walked away because truly, I have a lot of self-help and positive uplifting books. But really, can you have too many? Plus, I will go into the fall as department chair for the first time, and I have been thinking a lot about leadership and what good leadership looks like. I'm so glad I bought this book. Molly Galbraith offers so many insights and common-sense actions that can help women support other women. I really appreciated the exercises that Galbraith offers at the end of each chapter. They provide the opportunity for thoughtful reflection and they help me create a path forward.

I'm totally motivated now that I've read the book, and I look forward to going back to it often as a reference. It will occupy a prominent place in my new office! I want my colleagues and female students know that I'm there to support them.

Generally speaking, I find most “self-help” books relatively useless, so it was a real joy to read Molly Galbraith’s book and find it so relatable, practical, & useful. It’s full of stories & quotes featuring badass strong women and the ways they’ve lifted other women up. As I read it, I found myself nodding my head repeatedly and occasionally saying “YES” out loud. Molly puts words to what a lot of us are feeling. We’re over the idea of competing with other women.

Strong Women Lift Each Other Up breaks down the problems facing women in the world today both on an individual level and a systemic one. Then Molly takes it a crucial step further. Each chapter contains specific prompts to examine your own biases (with curiosity rather than judgment), reframe them, and then modify your thoughts and behavior moving forward. The book comes with downloadable resources to facilitate the process (this is one of my favorite things. I’m an old-school paper-and-pencil girl).

I especially love the steps outlined in Chapter 7, “Taking Small Daily Action.” She lists 8 ways for women to lift each other up. Fun fact: writing this review falls into one of those categories!

Read it. Highly recommended. It’s a book for all women, but how great would it be for men to read it, too? It would be fantastic for teens to read as well, to counter the prevailing narratives about cattiness & mean girls, and equip them with tools to use moving forward in their lives.

This is one of the few books that I would die to have a real, physical copy of in my hands. The reason this book was so special to me was the message of raising other women up, but still making time for yourself and looking after not only yourself, but others as well.

I think this would be a beautiful book for everyone to annotate, to be able to highlight and sticky note the most inspiring parts to them so they can read those passages day after day when they need to hear something inspiring, or some much needed advice.

This book could most definitely help anyone who is struggling with accepting themselves, being kind to others, rewarding themselves after a tough decision, etc. Strong women lift each other up definitely has every answer to each and every one of your questions.

A quick read with matching resources/exercises about how women can better support eachother in all facets of life, moving from a scarcity mindset of competition to celebrating and elevating other women. I appreciate how the author endeavored to make this topic inclusive and non-threatening to a wide variety of women. She doesn’t expect everyone to be an activist or leader. The focus here is very much the micro level of what small actions women can take in their personal or professional lives, not an examination of countering systematic oppression at a macro level.

Solid self-help book for women learning to be comfortable with themselves. Has great points on battling insecurities and best practices for self-love, which can then extend into love for others (particularly for fellow females). Very encouraging and realistic, however, I found most of it pretty intuitive and a lot of the information was (in my perspective) very self-explanatory. Great book for those not yet at that level of self-confidence and humility.

STRONG WOMEN LIFT EACH OTHER UP looks at ways women can view opportunities as scarce and let their own fears and insecurities affect how they treat other women, and in doing so, negatively impact the community as well as the individual. The author talks about the perils of comparison and how sometimes the act of comparison is due to one’s own perceived shortcomings. Not only does she share her own challenges and how she developed a lifestyle of female empowerment, the book is full of inspiring quotes, personal stories, and an action plan to help women make a practice of advocating for each other and in the process lift up the whole community.

The author stresses the importance of an inclusive community of women and acknowledges the “... the criticisms, standards, judgments, prejudices, and other unfairness heaped upon Black women, Indigenous women, Women of Color, older women, queer women, trans women, fat women, and women with disabilities or fewer socioeconomic resources.”*

The book stresses the importance of body acceptance and how compliments directed toward a woman’s appearance play into the idea that a woman’s body is the most important thing about her. I found many great nuggets about forgiveness and a tool kit for capitalizing on moments to lift women up such when a man gets credit for a woman’s idea simply by restating it aka “he-peating.” The author suggests starting small to increase the likelihood that these positive actions are incorporated into one’s lifestyle.

The information is easily assessable by a link to online resources, a checklist at the back of the book, and a next steps summary at the end of chapters. Overall, I really enjoyed the book, but I found the presentation of some of the sections a bit redundant, and feel the information could have been organized a bit better. Nevertheless, I feel the subject matter is dealt with in a comprehensive and actionable manner.

WOW! This book is absolutely phenomenal!! I was amazed at the personal details Molly shared throughout the book - personal experiences, stories, family background, and personal health. Although I have been following Molly for some time, I had no idea that she had PCOS. I instantly felt a connection because I was recently diagnosed with this condition which is not often discussed (but apparently common in women). My only criticism is that I wish there was incorporation of perspectives/experiences from people outside of the fitness industry. Perhaps someone who is not at all connected to the fitness industry might be a tiny bit turned away. However, criticism aside, this is truly phenomenal book and I’m SO excited to share it with my network of amazing women and for my own personal growth! Thank you, Molly, for your hardwork, determination, openness, and wisdom in writing this book! Strong Women Lift Each Other Up by Molly Galbraith is a book about being kinder to ourselves and others!

Prior to reading this book, I didn't know anything about the author and now I feel like she would be a great friend and sister!

This book discussed so many challenging topics, like scarcity mindset, comparison & jealousy, negative self-talk and other habits, as well as provided actionable steps to tea eco improve your life and the lives of others!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and was very relatable! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is struggling.

“We need every single woman to do the things she’s good at and that she loves to do and that lights her on fire.”

Probably my favorite quote from this book (and I have quite a few that I love!)

While this book is geared towards women, I do believe that men can learn a lot from it as well, seeing how one woman’s experiences (which are so similar to so many of ours) has affected her and how she’s growing and helping others grow.

This book was SO easy to read, while simultaneously challenging me to improve how I live my life.
I feel EMPOWERED as a woman to 1-live my life more boldly and 2- to help empower other women so they can live boldly as well!

While Molly explains how she made changes in her life, she also ends every chapter with action items and next steps you can do. So you don’t feel alone on this journey. You have someone guiding you!

I will DEFINITELY be rereading this book, as well as recommending to everyone I know :)

Molly's writing is authentic & no B.S. She speaks from her heart and so relatable. Her writing and stories were extremely relatable for me. Her book is a MUST read. It's as if she's sitting shotgun with you holding the map. You're the driver, but you've got your wise big sister alongside you.

Strong Women Lift Each Other Up will be your step-by-step roadmap to improving your own relationship with your body. After you read this book - you'll realize it's time to quit comparing yourself to all the other women in your life (Strong Women Lift Each Other Up will you see how the comparison has been holding you back and really not serving you).

Yes, this book is for and about women, but much of the issues and advice resonate in “coaching” everyone. I’m a coach as a parent, mentor, teacher, colleague, boss and friend to men as well as women, and many of the discussions apply to them all. Molly Galbraith names issues I have been aware of but not really acknowledged, like the sense of scarcity that drives so much personal and professional competition. I fully appreciate the issues she raised that are more challenging for women, but I am happy to be able to use what I have learned across all relationships in my life.

I have been a huge fan of Molly's for many years so I was so excited when she decided to write a book! I signed up to receive Strong Women Lift Each Other Up as soon as I could and I was not disappointed! One of the reasons I've been a fan of Molly's is because she just seems so GENUINE and this really comes through in her book. She is unapologetically herself and seems to represent a lot of ideals that I once thought to be contradictory - she is feminine AND physically strong, she is kind AND assertive, she is vulnerable AND brave. In this book, she breaks down why I grew up thinking some of these things couldn't go together as a woman. This book really shined a light on how messed up our culture can be when it comes to women. Additionally, I am white and cisgender but I was concerned that this book might be too much from the perspective of someone else who is white and cisgender and not take into account the voices of BIWOC and transgender people. I should have known Molly better than that - she included these voices throughout the entire book and continuously reminded the reader how much more difficult life is for these marginalized groups. I would completely recommend this book to womxn of all ages and can't wait to have my daughters read it some day. My mom asked me if she should read it and I was taken aback because she is someone who has a lot of internalized insecurities and competition with other women, so I initially didn't think this book was her "thing." Now that I've read it I realize it's perfect for my mom! I'm so excited for her to read it and discuss it with her. I really see this book starting some good discussions with my mom and potentially being life-changing for our relationship!

I loved this book! Right from the foreword I was all in. This book can easily sit next to Untamed as a book that all women and girls should read, and deserves just as much success.

I loved the interweaving of personal anecdotes with actionable tasks. It will be a book I come back to time and again, as situations come up, and as I start to change.

The ability to drill down and see exactly where I have scarcity complex, and how I can start to chip away at it was great. I love that it's not recommended to try and change everything at once, in every area of your life where you interact with women, but to work out where you specifically can be of most impact.

It shines a light on how as women we can get caught in the comparison and jealousy trap, and how society has conditioned us. It also shows how we can start to change that. This book has definitely made an impact on me, and I'm excited for my small part that I can play in the world, the ripples that I can start, to help so many women and girls for the future.

If you are on the fence about buying it, get off and buy it! You won't regret it! :)

I just finished reading Strong Women Lift Each other Up and have already recommended it to several friends and my young adult daughter. From the very beginning chapter I related to Molly and her life struggles with scarcity mindset and the comparison trap. All of which I still struggle with but this book gives me actionable ways to begin to tackle them. On several occasions, the book was so relevant to me that I cried. Not so much that it was showing me what I hadnt done but was showing me that I can get past these self imposed limits. The quote "Because of scarcity mindset, many women live in perpetual fear of what others may think. We pursue perfectionism and try to prevent our flaws from
showing because we’ve been taught that, to get ahead or be accepted, we must be better than everyone else.".. is so me. Ive been living in fear of failure, fear of not being enough. With the working pages, I will begin my journey of lifting women up with my superpowers. Thanks Molly for writing this book.
