40 inspiring stories on how to live your life happily. From dealing with frustration to handling bullying , from coping with sadness to making others feel wanted, the book dishes out simple life lessons in true Christian spirit.

This was an interesting and inspiring compilation of sage advice for children. While some of the topics may not be suited for very young listeners, children aged 10+ will definitely be able to connect with the message and implement them easily in their lives. In fact, some of the stories will be eye-openers for adults too. To get the best of this audiobook, I feel it ought to be heard a couple of lessons at a time and then caregivers could discuss the same with the children in order to maximise the impact of the moral.

The audiobook is narrated by the author himself and that lends a wonderful charm to the experience. His voice is rich and expressive, and he reads the book like a doting grandfather reading a story lovingly to his grandchildren. I loved the happy vibe he brought to the book. At the same time, I feel that this book will work much better in physical form, not only because of the learning activities present in the physical version but also because the type of writing lends itself wonderfully to short chapters with illustrations, and this visual simplicity can increase the impact of the book greatly.

I received an Advanced Audio Review Copy of the book from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"We're supposed to love Everybody, Always... Not Some People, Sometimes"

I have to admit that I'm a big Bob Goff fan and have read "Love Does"- while the adult copy of "Everybody, Always" sits on my TBR nightstand. His energy is infectious and inspires a desire to change, to help, to love.

We listened to this Audiobook (kids are 6, 5, and 4 years old) as a family. This sparked great conversations, and (yes!) at the age range we have! We particularly related to and discussed what it means to love people and serve one another. It was perfect timing in discussing comparison (I think we'll be using the "keep your eyes on your own paper" now as a family), and different parts of the book were relevant to different kids- the pandemic and thinking about others' safety etc. Such great stories for little ears.

This is a book that will also be re-read/re-listened to, especially as the kids get older. First, Mr. Goff has a surprisingly good voice as he narrates the audio version. He makes you want to pull up a chair and listen to his wisdom. I now can't wait to dive into the adult version of the book and try to put his words into practice more.

Thank you to netgalley for a free copy/access to the audio in exchange for an honest review.

Love, love, LOVE this book and the authors of it. Everybody, Always for Kids is full of beautiful illustrations and true, inspiring stories of practical ways we can all love everybody around us even more. It’s not only great for kids, it’s great for adults. I am so excited to make this book available in my classroom for my students, because we can always use reminders on how to love others well.

I love Bob Goff. I love his over-the-top love. The world simply needs more of that and I am here for it. I also love that he has taken his beautiful books and created children's versions that are just so fun to listen to in the car together. What joy it is to see/hear Jesus' love in action through Bob's stories.

A few years ago, I led my high school youth group through the Everybody Always video series. We watched the first week’s video and I asked if anyone had questions. A hand shot up immediately: “Is he…um…always like that?” And the answer is yes. Bob Goff is the most enthusiastic, genuine person that I know. It’s not an act. It’s not a show. It’s simply who he is.

Everybody Always is about learning to love others, regardless of who they are—something the world desperately needs in this season of division and polarization. Goff draws on his exceptional life to tell stories about opportunities to love others and make a difference. Each personal anecdote is used as a launching point toward a general understanding of the concept and an imagining of what it might look like in the reader’s context.

Speaking with adults, the one criticism I get about Bob is that he’s too…well, the kids would say extra, adults just sort of gesticulate wildly. And yeah, I get it. Adulthood, for most, carries with it a certain sense of properness and decorum, an aloofness and individuality that doesn’t want to get involved in the lives of others. To them, Bob Goff is scary. To them, Bob’s way of living is just way too vulnerable. The best I might get is that people admire him for what he does, but ask them to change themselves and there might be some small, incremental changes (I’ll take it) but rarely will they upend their established personality.

Everybody Always for Kids shifts the focus from an adult reader to an elementary to middle school one. The vocabulary is a little more simplified. The anecdotes are a bit shorter. There are wonderful illustrations. There are a few additional stories. But that same sense of wonder and whimsy is pervasive. And to a less cynical, less “adult” audience, it really hits home. Bob’s sense of wonder is childlike and for kids to see an adult who has kept that is, hopefully, encouraging to them be the same.

Interestingly, Bob’s practical advice for how to love others doesn’t differ that much from the book geared to adults—showing just how easy it is to implement his message. Your child will laugh, ask questions, be amazed, feel encouraged, and, most of all, feel capable of being the hands and feet of Jesus. They don’t have to wait to be older or have a job or money, they can love everybody always right where they are. Bob’s an amazing person and I’m glad to see his books translated into a format meant for younger readers.

Love everybody, always. Sounds simple enough, right? As a woman with a few decades of saving faith under my belt, I still struggle with this straightforward biblical principal. Learning to become love is a lifelong process and it can begin in childhood. With his daughter Lindsey Goff Viducich, Bob Goff masterfully shares his message of Jesus’ love in the children’s edition of Everybody, Always.

Through 40 short but engaging stories, Everybody, Always for Kids explains complex Christian concepts with perfect simplicity. Biblical truths are woven into the stories with age-appropriate analogies for kids to ponder. The book challenges young readers to cultivate compassion and put their faith into action with people they encounter everyday. The short stories touch on a wide variety of topics including: bullying, building community, conflict resolution, persons with disabilities, immigration/refugees, COVID-19, and what it means to love like Jesus.

At the end of each story, readers are presented with a simple question to consider. This format lends itself well to family read-aloud and discussion. The questions will stimulate conversation and hopefully lead to children creating their own actionable steps to love well. As in the original edition, the audiobook Everybody, Always for Kids is read by the author. Bob Goff’s voice exudes kindness and would be a perfect listen for children as well.

Raising kids to love everybody, always has simultaneously been the biggest challenge and greatest joy of my life. Everybody, Always for Kids is the perfect companion for parents looking to instill lasting biblical truths in their children. Simply put, our world needs more of the goodness this book has to offer.

A big thank you to netgalley for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Everybody, Always for Kids by Bob Goff, Lindsey Goff Viducich is a uniquely inspired experience directly for children. This book provides a memorable story that shares how you are loved by God, an interpretation of that story with a key character concept to cement the message, and wonderful illustrations to use remember these concepts as you learn these truths more fully.

This book has 40 three of four page short stories. I think the messages shared are especially timely for 6 to 12 year old children but honestly they were very inspirational for me also. Some of the ones that really helped me were The Bucket (patience), The Time Capsule (gift of God’s love to others), Land the Plan (loving others without correcting faults), and Keep Your Eyes on Your Own Paper (stop comparing yourself to others). By taking the time to read these short stories and reflecting on them in a thoughtful way we can experience true spiritual growth with our children. These stories can be read together or alone by our children. We are all in different places in our faith journey. This book will meet us at all those points and enrich us to help us have an even closer walk with our Lord.

It is perfect for anyone looking for a little boost or even just a different way to teach gospel principles. Your soul will truly be nourished and peace can be achieved, as you take stock of where you are and do the work to get to where you want to be.

I was provided a free advance reader copy from Thomas Nelson CHILDREN’S in exchange for my honest review on Net Galley. The opinions shared in this review are my own.

Having heard of Bob for years, Everybody, Always for Kids is the first book of his I have read. Everybody, Always for Kids is delightful!! In Bob's usual, easy going, practical manner Everybody, Always for Kids is full of Biblical truths written in such a way children of all ages can understand and apply - but is also full of impactful and thought provoking reminders for adults. This book is a gem for families. Looking for a daily devotional that everyone can enjoy - this is it. Each chapter is short but has built in questions that will help you engage in meaningful conversation with your children, while keeping their attention and still letting you get onto the other committments you have.

The icing on the cake is the illustrations - beautiful, bold and bright, the images are realistic and relatable. Showing people of different races, abilities, ages and stages. This is a book one will come back to time and time again. The stories are classics that will never get old.

I received this audiobook from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a book that explains how we can love everybody, always in our day to day lives. I would recommend this audiobook for children over the age of 10 or so.

Goff does a great job of giving examples and sharing how we can be love in a world where love isn’t always our first reaction. There are many different chapters and many different examples. However, I feel like kids may have the same issue that I do with this author; many of his anecdotes are unrelate. I had the same issue with his adult book Dream Big.

I’m not saying that I didn’t learn anything or have deep thoughts while listening to this audiobook. But some of the personal stories were experiences I couldn’t relate to. There were many quotes and tidbits of information that I did bookmark, but I also had to take those tidbits and put them into my own experiences because his were so unrealistic for a person of lower middle class.

I have read all of Bob Goff's books so far and was very interested in this kid's version of Everybody Always. I have three elementary kids and we all enjoyed it so much! It was the first book we've read as a family that wasn't a Bible overview book but wasn't fiction either. Each chapter was a story from Bob's crazy life, or someone he's close with. The chapter had a theme and a biblical principle that he used his story to illustrate. It was fantastic to read each chapter and have something to work on as a family. Being kind, loving your siblings, looking for ways to show Jesus's love are all examples. We would pause after each chapter and discuss what we thought. The book started a lot of excellent conversations and put some things we've talked about into a different perspective. It's a great addition to our parenting and I'm looking forward to reading it again with them. I would highly recommend this book for anyone with kids, all the way from littles to teens.

I am never disappointed in a Bob Goff book. I am always inspired to live more like Jesus, and Bob has a fun writing style, but also a fun life that I wish I could lead. Everyone, Always for Kids is no exception. I want to be like Bob as he throws a parade for his neighbors, sends cake-pops to people he disagrees with, and slingshots saltwater taffy at kids in boats. I’ll skip the skydiving, but I love the image of love as he jumps after his son. This is a perfect book for families to read together as they desire to be a light for Jesus. Kids will love the colorful illustrations and the wild adventures that Bob takes us on and it’s a great discussion book as we all figure out how to love everyone always in this oftentimes crazy and divisive world. I highly recommend Everyone, Always for Kids.

Everybody Always for Kids by Bob Goff and Lindsey Goff Viducich is another amazing devotional to bring God's love to life. I read their first book, Love Does, with my son at least two full times. The audiobook version was especially a favorite. We started this book and I have only one complaint-- bedtime never happens on time because my son is never happy with just one devotional! This book is amazing, just as amazing as the first. It brings to life the concepts in God's Word better than many devotionals I have found. Through stories and simple lessons that can be applied immediately, the depth of God's love for us permeates every inch of this book. I highly recommend it and cannot wait to buy it in many different formats, as we did the last. It is worth it! I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Everybody Always is a fun and clever book, very beautiful illustrations that encourages kids to love God and the people around them. One of our goals as parents is to raise kids who know the foundations of a loving community, the real meaning to love your neighbors as yourself. We want to teach our kids to make wise choices and bring joy to the people around them. Kids who can treasure what really matters. We are living in a very individualistic society that  the only important thing is ourself and not what people around us can feel with our words or actions. In this book Bob Goff leads children and also parents to discover what means to love everybody around you always with biblical foundation and very practical examples from his own family life. My boys are loving it, in special the stories about his son Adam. Totally recommind it.

Full confession: Bob Goff is one of my favorite authors. He explains complicated concepts like faith and love with great simplicity in every book he pens. "Everybody, Always for Kids" is no different.

In this book, Bob draws inspiration from cake pops, go-karts, balloons, and skydiving (just to name a few) to illustrate the importance of showing Christ's kindness to friends and foes alike.

This is the perfect book to discuss over dinner with your kids. The entire family will leave the table with full bellies and full hearts, encouraged to show each other - and the world - what love looks like in action.

I am a huge Bob Goff fan so when Love Does for Kids came out I used it as a way to share it with my 10 year old granddaughter. It was the first 'Nana's Book Club' book. We both loved the book and sharing our thoughts about the stories. We were both so excited when we found out Everybody, Always for Kids was on its way! It did not disappoint! I love the way the authors transform stories from the adult book into age appropriate stories for kids. It's a must read for helping young people see the importance of loving Everybody! Always!

Everybody, Always for Kids is a wonderful book by Bob Goff and his daughter, Lindsey. The book consists of 40 applicable and easy-to-understand stories from Bob's own life to teach kids about the love of Jesus and how to share Jesus with others. The book also has fun illustrations to go along with each story. This book would be perfect for a kid that wants to grow in Christ. It would also be perfect for family devotion or to use in a Christian classroom or a Church setting. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book! I think that getting this as an ebook is another sneaky trick on this visually challenged grandma! Now I just have to get a print copy for our church library and prod my out-of-state kids to do the same. The publisher's blurb is excellent, and there are practical stories and life lessons, Biblical truths and concepts of faith all enticingly packaged with entrancing illustrations. Great as a read aloud!

Everybody Always for Kids takes Bob Goff’s popular book Everybody Always down to bite size chunks to make it relatable for kids. It encourages kids to look for ways to love those around them by giving examples of things Bob has done to show the love of Jesus to others. I would recommend this book for kids as young as 6 if used as a read aloud. Kids need more love and kindness in their lives and need to learn how to show it to others.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion.

God wants us to love Him and people. The author gives lots of ideas for having fun and showing love to people as we go through life. He gives many examples of helping people who are difficult to love and people who need a helping hand. He shares experiences and adventures from his youth, that of his own children, and other children in the neighborhood.
An enjoyable book to read with lots of pictures and ideas of having fun, even in your own backyard. This is a very positive, and encouraging book.

Bob and Lindsey make an incredible team. They find age appropriate stories to share that encourage and empower kids (of all ages, honestly!) to go out and love others well and to do it with no restrictions.

They are notorious for heart warming stories and this book does not disappoint. They are an incredible father-daughter team and the artwork is just the icing on the cake.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book for children of all ages.

We were so excited for this book to come out - my kids loved reading "Love Does for Kids" and this one is now added to our favorites. We love Bob and Lindsay's stories and how they have a biblical foundation but relate to our current lives. They provide so much love and encouragement to our family and always give us better ideas and understanding on how to spread love and include everyone, always. Highly recommend!

This book is full of anecdotes, practical advice and scripture. Bob Goff uses humor, examples from his family's life and simple speech to communicate to children how much Jesus lives them and why that means they should love others and show that love in tangible ways.

As with his other audiobooks, Bob does his own narration. You can often feel the emotions as he speaks.

This book is meant for elementary children, but is great for all God's children, whether 5 or 105.

I knew it would be chicken soup for the soul-esque and this child of the 90s was here for it. I listened to it with the kiddos while running errands. They all laughed out loud at some points, and maybe one of them rolled their eyes at the cheesiness of it at some points. I know when Bob says “everybody, always” he means those tweens too. But genuinely, I loved how he simplified the greatest commandment, to love, in a way that’s appealing to kids.

Read as part of homeschool Bible time. My 8yo liked it. the lessons weren't extremely relatable or easily mimicked/recreated by children. The idea of becoming love and loving big, is awesome, but most kids wouldn't be able to understand how to draw a parallel between their lives and the life of an obviously very wealthy and very well connected grandpa. Good examples of how to love others, if you have tons of resources.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and the stories. The message is simple and yet profound. And it’s perfectly relatable for elementary aged kids... and honestly any age adult! The stories are tied to specific Bible stories and I can imagine will lead to great conversations with the tiny humans in your life!

Yet another amazing book by Bob Goff! This book is great to add into your bedtime routines with your littles. The chapters are short and the pages are super colorful to keep their attention. While short each chapter packs a punch with such amazing lessons in love, compassion, and overall life situations that are so important in today’s world. I could easily read this over and over with my kids!

I love Bob Goff's heart for people. I loved his Everybody Always for grown-ups and am so excited about the kids' version. It's never too early to start teaching our children how to show love to others. ❤ A quote from the book that has really stuck with me is, "When it comes to loving others, no act of love is too small."

Everybody Always rocked my world with the concept of "becoming love". As a mom of 6, and a long-time children's ministry worker, I was so excited to have a version of this book to use with kids. I am only just starting it, but so far it is written on the perfect level to read with my younger children. Thanks, Bob Goff!
