From emerging author, Michelle Elaine comes a new intense yet riveting, urban fiction romance that'll leave you astounded. Calling Jada Reid’s love life a mess is an understatement. She broke up with the only man she ever loved, a professional football player named Israel Mann. She left because she thought he was never going to propose. A year removed from this ten-year relationship, she still has not committed to seriously rejoining the dating world. She has instead been playing the field the best way she knows how as an attractive, single woman in Atlanta. Israel returning to town for an unexpected, extended visit, tests the remaining parts of their relationship; Israel did not come to town alone. Instead, a new girlfriend— a family friend that Jada always viewed as a potential threat— joins him. Reeling from the discovery of his new relationship, Jada impulsively becomes involved with a local rapper who happens to be an associate of her best friend’s fiancé.Jada and Israel try to avoid one another and focus on their new relationships, but their chemistry is undeniable. Although they are involved in other romantic situations, they find themselves entangled with one another, yet again. The complexity of their love triangle increases due to Jada’s father, Julian— one of the biggest drug distributors that the city of Atlanta has seen. In addition, Israel’s best friend, Caleb Bridges, is an opposing threat hell-bent on removing Julian from his seat of power—something Israel personally doesn’t want for Jada nor the Reid family.Julian Reid works directly for the Miami-based Ramirez Cartel. Once the Cartel catches wind of the havoc that Caleb is causing, Julian and his two sons —who work for him— are pressured to remove the threat permanently. With their loved ones on opposing sides of a growing drug war, Jada and Israel face their toughest challenge yet.Although Jada’s new love interest says and does all the right things, she can’t seem to let Israel go. Caught up in memories of a time when they would have done anything for each other, Jada is stunned at a discovery. Shortly before she called it quits a year prior, Israel was ready to get on one knee and ask her to be his wife. While pondering this new information, she realizes that she may have walked away from the relationship too hastily. Jada, now, faces the decision to either let that information impact her current relationship or simply let Israel go.Caleb’s decision to go against Julian creates more than just problems for Julian’s criminal organization. At the moment, they feel there may be a chance for reconciliation; Jada and Israel find themselves forced to choose sides when the war between their loved ones leaves multiple deaths all around them. The drama between her father and his best friend proves to be too much for Jada and Israel to overcome. When the dust finally settles, some lives are lost while other lives are changed forever.Find out what happens in the first installment of this three-part series, A Good Girl & A Down South Millionaire.

First I would like to say Michelle Elaine did the damn thang on her first release. Thank you for blessing us with a wonderful piece of literature. Isreal and Jada gave me the blues with the back and forth. Having a decade of history together is hard to let go. Even though Jada was the one to end things the heartbreak spiraled her out of her normal self. Drinking and one night stands are how she chose to cope. I think she had a right to be tired of waiting because like her father said, you know when you ready to spend the rest of your life with someone. So obviously he wasn't ready. He needs to man up more anyway because yeah Caleb took the wrap for them years ago but at what cost. All he did was throw it in their faces. Caleb should have left well enough alone, now look where he and Kevin at now. And Kevin was innocent. I can't wait till part two cause Jada still didn't tell Isreal, maybe it was for the best but I can't wait to find out.💖💖

A Good Girl & A Down South Millionaire

Wow! Caleb's greediness led to the downfall of so many. I wouldn't necessarily say Jada was a drunk whore but she made a lot of irrational decisions. The time apart didn't stop the love between Jada and Israel but I was truly hoping something good would come about for Jada and Malik. I didn't too much care for Angelina and at times neither did Israel. Poor Nisha. Hopefully she doesn't make the wrong decision but I wish things would've turned out differently for Kelvin. Caleb really was holding things over Israel's Hess for his own selfish reason. I had to laugh when Jada put Ayanna on her ass because she was doing too much. I can't believe Jada still didn't tell Israel and I was hoping the pain they experienced at the end was so much different. I see I need to get part 2 before part 3 comes.

Drama and betrayal

How quick can best friends turn into enemies? This was a good read, a bit long, but still good. Is there really anyone to place sole blame on for everything being so messed up? Is definitely should have spoken up to caleb long before lives started being lost. Yes that was his friend and he made sacrifices for Is, but at some point Is has to stop letting that guilt eat at him. Jada is just a whole other mess! Yes she is spoiled, but it was facilitated by the men in her life. Now is she dead wrong for not telling Malik or Is that she is preggo, YES. Wondering if she will keep it, i believe if she doesn't and its Is baby, that will forever be the end of their friendship and possible relationship. I cant wait for the drama to continue!

I need part 2 ASAP

Where do I begin?? First of all, they were trying to make Jada look like some alcoholic hoe when in my eyes she really wasn't. Caleb used that as a way to rein Isreal into his messed up actions and things that he was doing. I kept wondering where the strong dislike for Jada came from. Probably because she could see that Caleb wasn't worth a damn. My heart truly breaks for Nisha and all that she's dealing with. I hated to see both sides lose someone important. That ending though. I wish she would have told him but we will see how things go in part 2. I hope part 2 is happening soon because I need to know some thangs lol

🔥🔥🔥

Man Jada and Israel relationship was crazy. So much happened between them, she left the relationship because she thought he didn’t want to propose but he was going too. A year later when they met at Kelvin
birthday party and she seen him with Angelique she was in her feelings. Caleb was a snake and blackmailed Israel and his dirty deeds got Kelvin killed and killed Duece. After their deaths it strained Jada and Israel relationship/friendship, can’t wait for him to find out Jada is having his baby. Ready for book two

Satisfied Reader

This book shows you how greed can tare up a lengthy friendship. I hated how Caleb tried to be the HNIC and didn't think of lives he put in jeopardy. Israel was playing dangerous when feelings were involved. Jada played on emotions also. Did they finally get it together. My heart goes out to Nisha. That's thee worst feeling. Ayanna was a Bih and very bitter. But she did have a lil heart. I love taking chances with new authors and watch them grow. Great Job

Jada damn

This book was really good! Jada and her decision making is crazy to me why she just didn’t tell Israel what was going on with her. Vanessa probably should have called him herself. Poor Malik seemed heartbroken to learn bout Jada and is. But what ever happened to Angie lil sneaky self. She probably somewhere hiding her pregnancy and about to bring more drama they way. Come on with book 2

Great read

Really enjoyed this book. Easy to follow and hard to put down. I don't know how to feel about Isreal last move, I understand his hurt but he shouldn't make Jada suffer for things beyond her control. Michelle you've gained a fan! Now part 2 me please

There was so much action in this book. To have loved and lost is an understatement. Heading to part 2. Wanna know what happens when Israel finds out about the baby and is Bella still at the trap house?

Speechless

Didn't expect that ending. So Jada just not gonna let Is know that he has a baby on the way? How is it they in the game but nobody wears bulletproof vests? That's strange to me!!!

Come on part 2

I liked this book, but the back and forth between Jada and Israel was getting on my nerves. I guess in part 2, Jada will have the baby before Israel finds out about it. I'm ready to read part 2.

Loved it

The ending was so sad. I knew Jada wasn't going to tell Israel that she was pregnant with his child. I hope she keeps the baby though. Everyone lost someone that they loved. Caleb caused so much drama. I didn't like him one bit. I can't wait to read part 2.

Oh my goodness

The story had a lot of plot twists. I did not expect the couple to stay together when the relationship was not all about love. There were a lot of characters and a lot to digest in the story, whew!

The Jada and Isreal heartbreak story was intense but very relatable! Jada's reactions were human and made the character likable. This storyline was such a great read. This is one of those books readers can put down and pick back up again and again. Waiting on book two to see how the pieces fall. What a great debut book for this promising author!

A Good Girl?

Ummmm I’m trying to figure out who is the good girl. Although I have a problem with the title of this story, the book was actually very good. With three of the characters now dead, how will the story progress. Guess I will find out in book 2.

Confused

This was a very interesting read. I'm not really understanding why it has this title tho. Can't wait to find out how this little secret of Jada's is gonna come to light and just how bad the blow back will be.
