A bad relationship left Madison Holland older, wiser, and with goals of her own. She’s determined to get the job she wants and eventually grow a profitable interior design business. And why not? She’s finally in charge of her own destiny. She’ll make it happen by depending on herself this time around.
When she’d drawn to England, a priest gifts her a pair of earrings and announces her soulmate will marry another if she doesn’t hurry and claim him! Well, she has finals on the horizon, so …
She’s thrust into the past and given The Twelve Days of Christmas to get to know him so she can make an informed decision. She doesn’t need time! She relinquishes her rights!
She isn’t interested, anyway, is she?
Lord Thomas de Woodville has a castle to run and he’s going to marry so he can check it off his to-do list. He likes his world neat, ordered, and run on a time schedule. Honor is everything and his future wife, already in his sights, must be above reproach.
When a priest drops Madison off for Christmas, Thomas is taken by surprise. She’s different. Beautiful, intelligent, and witty, she will best him at every opportunity if he doesn’t stay sharp. It’s just as well that she wants nothing to do with him. He’s already made his decision, and is honor-bound to keep it.
Everything changes with a kiss.
Can he admit what he’s really looking for is someone perfect for him?
And if he does, will it change anything?
When Modern meets Medieval, can there be a happily ever after?
Diane Darcy loves to read and write lighthearted and funny books. She’s a member of the Heart of the West, and RWA. She was a finalist for Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart® Award. She’s written romantic comedies in several different genres; some historical, some contemporary, all lighthearted and fun. She makes her home in Utah with her family and dogs, and is hard at work on her next book.
A mischievous matchmaking clergy, a woman sent back in time to find her soulmate, a sweet and misguided Lord of the Manor. This book was short, sweet, and utterly magical. I loved Madison’s enthusiasm and the way she became a leader in the castle. I also enjoyed learning about the traditions during Twelfth Night.
Content: clean (no language, no violence, a few kisses)
This was a fun addition to the series. Madison gets the benefit of a warning that she is about to go back in time, I dont think they other heroines in the series were as fortunate. She thought she'd be there for a temporary visit, but of course ends up falling in love with the people and time period. I thought it was a sweet read, the romance was a tad unbelievable - they needed to spend more time together, have more conversations. It felt a bit rushed. I liked the Christmas setting and again, thought it was a nice read. I've enjoyed this series and I think there is at least one more book to go. They each can be read as a standalone.
Content: Clean read, mild kissing. No language or violence.
Sweet, quick and charming Novella. I didn’t want it to end. I liked that Father Cuthbert had to literally step in to set up Madison and Thomas. Although this is a Novella, the pace and progression of Thomas & Madison’s relationship was believable and felt natural. They had great chemistry, fantastic interactions and cute/funny banters. I love this series so much. Now I’ll go sit in a corner and wait for the next one 🤣 Just kidding! But I’ll be patiently waiting.

Tourists made the world go round, and they usually tipped well, too.
“My lady, you are the jammiest bits of jam”.
“If I were your husband,” his voice had deepened to a raspy baritone, “I would make sure that every one of your dreams came true.”
This was a cute and quick Christmas time travel book. I thought it would be about a character in a different book, but it was its own story with the time travel bit connecting the stories. I did like that Madison knew from the get go that she had time traveled. It speeds up the whole “confused and in disbelief” part so we can get right to the story. ;-) If you are in the mood for a cute time travel Christmas story, then this is it!
The sweet romance develops and blooms with each chapter. It sounds like this is the last book in this series. I look forward to the next adventure with this author.
A lovely sweet romance. Not the usual book I read as I like a lot of excitement, however it was a good book, story well written and endearing characters.
This is a very short book. I read it in two hours. The first two books in this series are two of my all time favorite books. The third book I was disappointed with. Spoiler alert: did I miss where Madison tells Thomas she is from the future? Also it was so short I felt like I didn't really get to know the characters and felt cheated of what could have been a good story.
This is the second of the series that I have read. I prefer the length of this novel to Book 4. Madison has been dreaming of England for some time when she decides to visit. She hopes that touring her ancestors' homeland will bring her some much-needed peace before she begins her next stage in life. Through a series of strange events, she finds herself in medieval times. With a positive attitude, she vows to survive a fortnight so that she can return to her own time. It was entertaining to read along as Madison brought modern customs to ancient people; the author does a credible job helping us see through their eyes. Humor, romance, and tension make this a great read for teens and adults.
Sweet but lacking the excitement and character/relationship development of the previous books in this series. A less believable course of love. Still enjoyable to read but without the oomph of the others. Almost as if the story was rushed. Reading it , though, to finish the series is a must.
This is a sweet Christmas story. It’s rather short, filled with Christmas season festivities, and would be the perfect book to read at Christmas time. Light up the fireplace, grab an eggnog and enjoy.
My least favourite from this series. Unlike the other books, this was very short. I didn’t really felt the connection between the MC. Did he even know that she’s not from his time? The epilogue was okay, only a year after. I love this series and I can’t wait for the next one.
What a delightful story! I have loved all of the books in this series and each one is a delight in its self. Fun and easy read, loved the traditions of Christmas I have never heard about. Great job, I can't wait for more Knights tales.
Another winner. Cute Hallmark type romance. Loved it. The romance was good. Waiting for their first real kiss took forever but it was a decent build up.
Love this series, it's fun and fast. She is a fun author love her in the ghosts series too. You know it going to be boy meets girl fall in love some kind of trouble want to,go,home decide to stay happily ever after but still enjoy them.
Madison was transferred to the past by a Saint Cuthbert and his special pearl earrings. He said it was for her to find her soulmate. Of course there were some differences but author Diane Darcy fixed all that in this book.
I love reading these knight store. They are all romantic and full of joy. I really liked this Christmas themed story with Thomas and Madison. Really would be tough to give up hot water, electricity and automobiles but I suppose if I found true love I would.
