Another super good book in the Grizzly Killer series. All the books so far has been like great adventures, but this particular book was more intense and gripped me more than the other books in the series. With this book Lane R Warenski made it well into my Top 10 list of Western writers if not even Top 5, and I look forward to reading many more of his books.

Never read a Grizzly Killer book that wasn't an exceptionally outstanding series of one unending exciting adventure after the other. This one is especially an ongoing series of outstanding accomplishments by Grizzly and his family. Great compilation of outstanding entertaining accomplishments of ok western folklore!
Definitely another five star masterpiece by one of the master creatiors of outstanding western accomplishments. The author's outstanding descriptive storylines definitely depicts how one would anticipate our old American West was finally conquered and settled. Too, the characters were compassionately selected for their commanding assignments, and they definitely fulfilled their roles to perfection. Great camaraderie among Grizzly and his family, as the odds were not always in their favor!
One exciting adventure after the other, as this family strives to survive and return safely to their desired homeland.
I made a mistake when I began reading the book a late in the evening, and had to lay it aside until the next day! Definitely recommend this compassionately motivated story to all readers, regardless of your reading pleasure, as you will become fully engrossed immediately. Too,you will find it hard to put the story aside until it has been completely finished. You will certainly find yourselves completely mesmerized by Grizzly, and his family, as they strive to reach their homeland! Great story from cover to cover!!!😄

Both falling in love with those incredible mountains and making it their home. His pa being killed by a grizzly, his adoption of Jimbo, his love of Old Red, and meeting his wives and building his family. Now we see them journeying home after one of their adventures and feel them fight their enemies. It takes a mighty man to love as hard as Zack does, his animals, and his family. He would do everything in his power to protect them or die trying!
What will you like? Extremely emotional, intense action, extraordinary characters, remarkable storyline, and unique settings. When you read you will experience the emotional turbulence in Zack as he sets about besting his enemy. The descriptions and details take you on this unique journey that Jimbo, Luna, and Zac experience during the fight to protect his family. While you are flying over the campfire, you will feel the wind on your face, the smell of the smoke, taste the mist on your face, and see the pain of the enemy. Traveling and more traveling! The group of friends and wives travel to the ancient ruins and then into Mexico. After harrowing experiences and keeping the family safe, Grizzly Killer, Zach Connors decides it is time to head for home. He is homesick and believes it is time as it is months before they will again be high in the Rocky Mountains. They traded their goods and now have a long train of horses carrying the burden of stores they will need for a year. The growing children either ride alone on horses or ride in a harness that allows them to ride in front of their mothers. I found all of this very interesting and have loved each and every story. Yes, there are horrors of death and destruction along the way, but the events feel as if I see all the details in their lives. Thanks for great writing as I move on toward the next adventure.

I have read each of the other Grizzly Killer book and each time I completely enjoyed them. I started reading the first book and was hooked. Every time I read one of the books I get completely absorbed in it. I have to read it all the way through before I can put it down. Each book tell a great story the characters come alive and takes you totally into the story.
I can recommend each and every book if you like books about the western frontier with a great story line you will like these books.

Another great book
I have been addicted to reading about Grizzly Killer and his companions. There are many battles with Indians and Bad Mountain men. It makes you realize how fragile life was living back in the early 1800's. I never thought of that when I was a child and wanted to be an Indian riding horses every day. You really feel like you are there with the great descriptions of the locations and the characters feelings. These books are good for anyone interested in western history.

I enjoy the way different happenings sneak up on you like the paint horse suddenly allowing a man to ride him for the Buffalo hunt the little girl Star seeing trouble for her dad,the way the dog& wolves&horses can communicate with each other
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys fiction! Or adventure. Once you start the book it’s hard to stop for anything like bed time or supper time.

Another great story
I rE Warensiki does not only write great adventure stories but also give a lesson in history and geography. You can be sure that every rock creek or tee mentioned exist in true life. The story is full action adventure hunting and romance mixed with good moral and ethic.

Not even close to being on par with previous books. WHY would you repeat so much??? Not only do you repeat certain events or stories, but in this latest book you are repeating entire chapters.
I'm done with Warenski unless he stops all of the repetition!!!!!!

Another action packed exciting adventure from beginning to end. Like all the rest of the Grizzly Killer novels, it was hard to put down and you wished that it wouldn't end. I loved it as I have all nine of the series and only wished that there were more..

Moved by the spirits
Once again the past comes alive through the magical efforts of Mr. Warenski, as he shows us what life was like in the Colorado mountains in the 1830's. I am sure that those who have been following along this long will enjoy this book also.

I've enjoyed all the books in the Grizzly Killer series. This one finds Zack and friends making the long trek home. They have run-ins was Navajo and Arapaho warriors. While at rendezvous Little Dove has plans for Grub and Eily.

Incredibly good series!
I don't know what I love the most, Thunder, the mule, Luna, Jimbo or the whole storyline! Only one complaint, in the last three books the beautiful black dog has become gray! Loved the way this one ended!
