Feathermore #3

Forevermore

Rate this book
They say that darkness comes with the night, but for me... it’s always coming.

Jade’s life has been in absolute turmoil since learning of her true existence. As the last of her Angelic kind, she’s been used and misguided in the fight between good and evil. And now, as if things couldn’t get any worse, she’s being hunted by none other than Lucifer himself- and this time, if she’s not careful, it looks like he may succeed.

In a race against time, Jade must learn to rely on her boyfriend and friends, if she wants to see the light again. With enemies that become friends, and strangers that come to her aid, Jade will have to fight the darkness if she’s to survive.

But will there be enough time?

Lucy Swing lives in Florida with her two children and her superhero firefighter husband.
She is a YA Paranormal/ Romance writer, whose works include: The Feathermore Trilogy:
Feathermore (book 1 )
Fallenmore (book 2)
Forevermore (book 3)
She has also written Bloody Valentine, which is a Vampire/ Witch novella in the Death By Chocolate collection, and is also sold separately.

She is an absolute book hoarder and must always have a book at arm’s length. She writes better when sipping on some hot, frothy coffee and music is her muse. She always has music playing while she writes. Some of her favorites are: Breaking Benjamin, Blue October, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Fireflight, Sleeping at Last and Yiruma. But her taste is eclectic, just like her wardrobe.

She loves the beach, or hanging out by any body of water, and would forever love you if you gift her books and let her sleep in.

“Thank you Lucy Swing for sending me an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.”

5 Stars!

This book was everything you want in a conclusion! It picks up right where the previous book ends with explanations of the past events, so it’s easy to jump back into the story. Jade continues to battle with the fact that she is falling and does everything with the help of Blake, Claire and Nate to try and stop it. There are new, interesting and lovable characters to enjoy/cry over as well as old favorites!

There are many twists to this story that match Jade’s “mood swings” and it is impossible to stop reading. There are so many heartwarming moments and just as many heartbreaking moments. I’d love to go into detail, but I can’t because I don’t want to spoil the book for other anticipating readers. I really enjoyed the multiple POV’s in this book because we got to see Jade’s inner turmoil/bad side as well as how those around her were affected by her problems and what they were thinking about the situation.

The story comes full circle at the end and it’s executed perfectly! I would say more, but it’s absolutely a spoiler. If you have been waiting for this conclusion or are just now discovering this trilogy, your heart will be happy with the end!

All 3 books are funny, entertaining, thrilling, uplifting and enjoyable. I caught my husband staring at me funny while I was reading because I was smiling and laughing along with the characters. I’m so happy I found Feathermore in the Kindle Deals section a few months ago!

Things I liked in no special order:

- Jade & Blake (swoon)

- Detailed descriptions of wings, dresses, armor, landscapes and more

- Heaven’s description/scenes

- The boarding school scenes

- Epic battle scene (high-intensity)

- Jokes- made me laugh out loud

- Multiple POV’s

- New characters

- Character development

- Jade’s “fallen” moments
- Heartwarming paradise scenes

- The full circle moments/ending

The finale of this trilogy wraps up the battle between good and evil with the most unexpected twist.

Jade is still battling against the dark side, but nothing is made easy for her. As much as she wants to stay in the light, evil is always there to mislead her into second guessing her decisions.

Blake has her back no matter what, but Jade has this tendency of keeping things to herself. These secrets don't help her cause. She is often put in a position where she thinks she is doing the right thing. As a result, she achieves the opposite. Blake, Nate and Claire do their best to help her and keep her on the right path. Will they succeed or will temptation get the better of her?

Like I have said before, this new take on the angelic world works very well. The twists and turns throughout this last installment make for a page turner. The final battle brings different and unexpected players. It's heartwarming sometimes and other times heartbreaking. The portrayal of the plot and the characters is well crafted. What happens in the end comes as a total surprise. It's different, but well received. An epilogue would have been beneficial. Overall, a worthwhile read.
