Hugs & Kisses
Having written four bestseller romance thrillers, Arvind decided to write poetry as he knows it holds an important place in our lives. Every poem is a story in itself. It can be an inspiration to us and also practically relatable. Hugs & Kisses is a collection of poetry, prose and a few line stories by Arvind Parashar that he has written over the years. The work does not limit the collection of recent work from Arvind, rather it also brings to the foray his deep connection with understanding of human behavior when he was a child of about eight years. The book is therefore a treat to his readers and also the discerning new readers across the world. Hugs & Kisses is divided into four sections- Love, Life, Friendship and Brief Story. The poetry shall inspire and motivate you and also some of it you may find ticklish with an element of humor and innocence. Arvind belongs to nature and you would see a lot of it in his work. It is embedded even in human relationships. Each poem is handcrafted artistically. Love it and it shall certainly love you back. Hope you enjoy this work of literature.

The poetries beautifully captures the various facades of love, underrated moments of life and shades of human psychology.
I totally admired the poems in the first two sections of the book. For me, I could relate to those poems at a personal level.
The writer has aptly exploited the literary tool called "imagery". That is, the poems are extremely vivid (even if they are composed of just a few lines.)
Some of the compositions felt a little bland and out of order. Maybe, I didn't have the mentality to grasp their essences even after reading them several times.
Overall, the language is simple, adorned with basic vocabulary. Moreover, the flow of words is quite smooth and not complicated at all.
If you love poetry, especially romantic ones which are entwined with joys of life then you should definitely read this book.

February 28, 2022I'm not going to lie - I read this entirely for a challenge and because it fit the challenge, which I feel pretty bad about...
As for the poetry, I have to say it wasn't to my taste - I'm sorry again! It was very simplistic and I didn't really get any depth of feeling from it, but that isn't to say I'm right. I've read other reviews that are much more positive than this, so definitely make an indie author's day and read this book! Of all the poems, my favourite would have to be 'Long Story', the last poem in the book - I felt it was more developed, and intriguing whereas others felt a bit banal.
I'm not giving it a star rating because I don't want to be mean - poetry is very personal. Well done for getting the book published!

Hugs and Kisses is a collection of beautifully written poems themed around multiple things but bonded with Love... You all will for sure find something to relate with. It is a short book which everyone can enjoy..!!

the breeze skim over me,

but an art to survive,
give your best and leave the rest
and never fret and fume..." - The grades.
A beautiful compilation of poems that are relatable to our everyday life. Language is lucid. In some poems, lines are written in an amazing way. Couldn't stop reading this book again and again. 'My bestie, 'Food and friends','The farm', 'Stranger', 'Care','Song', 'Kiss to remember' are some of my favourites from this book. But what I didn't like is, some of them are didn't touch my heart like the ones that are written well. Overall I liked this book.
