Book 1.5 in The Devil's Armada
Novella

SYNOPSIS

Everyone needs a backstory—even those whose backstory isn’t filled with rainbows and pretty ponies.
I’d made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I don’t hold myself accountable for the decisions I had to make. That’s my sister’s problem—she made me what I am.
I spent half my life stuck in her stupid shadow and she’s led me down roads that would make your skin crawl.

Now that I have a chance to branch off on my own, I’m going to make something of myself and find my own power without her.
The path I chose was supposed to lead me to finding my own identity; instead, it has led me straight into the arms of a villain hell bent on corrupting me.
His poisons are addicting, and I crave his evil as much as I craved my independence from Filly.
Now the only tracks I want to make leave scars along my skin, and the ones I left behind, I’m hoping to cover up; that way my sister will never see the monster I’ve become.

WARNING:
This book is not a love story and it has many triggers. It contains heavy drug use, sex, abuse, prostitution, and implications of child sex trafficking. (It was a necessary but also disheartening part of Dusty's life struggles that I kept off the page as much as I could.) This book is about how one woman's innocence is easily corrupted by outside influences. This book is like a prequel to my upcoming book Cipher's Code. If this kind of dark book is not for you, then I suggest skipping this one and waiting for Cipher's Code (coming late 2020). Although, there are aspects of Dusty's story that are very alarming and may be hard for people to read. Please heed my warnings, because this book will not be for everyone. It is dark, the romance is almost non-existent, and it contains a lot of triggers.

Growing up in the shadow of her older sister, Dusty is desperate for her own power and independence. This desperation leads to a series of choices with monumental consequences and sets Dusty down a dark and dangerous path. Just when she thinks she might finally have control over her own life she is introduced to an evil more power then she could imagine. With the cards constantly stacked against her, Dusty plays a dangerous game of survival within a powerful MC.

Drugs, prostitution, abuse. This is not a fairy tale. It’s a dark and gritty story of survival. Dusty is not your typical heroine, and at times her actions may seem unforgivable. But after reading her story and witnessing her journey I can’t help but have a soft spot for the cheeky little troublemaker I first met in Spectre’s Wake. I can’t wait to see more of her story unfold in Cipher’s Code.

This book is fantastic. It is a MC book unlike any other. Ms. Ryder does a phenomenal job of letting us see into her characters souls and what they desire and love. It is not for the reader that wants rainbows and unicorns. It is dark, twisted, angsty, raw, gritty and totally captivating! Dusty/Daisy goes through some circumstances that set up where and what happens to her . She makes you take a hard look at what a person will do to survive whatever life throws at you. She takes you on a ride that not only let's you see her at her rawest but the other people that are involved with her. Her story will touch your heart and soul. You will not want to stop reading! You will be screaming at her! Rooting for her! It is intense and worth every second you spend reading it. No spoilers! Check it out and see for yourself! Loved this book! Can not wait for the next book.

Oh wow.... What to say... Dusty has really had a hard and rough life! I had a hard time reading this one definitely! Quinn really dives in with drugs, addiction and how it can change a person’s life! Add in a greasy, nasty, evil, abusing man and you know Dusty’s life is going nowhere good... that said, it’s still a really good read and the background is necessary to show what happens to make Dusty/ Daisy who she is. I can’t wait to see what happens with her in Cipher’s book which is next! Write fast Quinn!!! I know each book is gonna get better and better! I’m Loving taking this ride with you and your MC books! You Rock!

Y’all won’t want to miss this at all!! I love how this author writes her MC different then other authors. She grabbed my attention immediately and still has it even after I’ve finished it!! This is NOT a romance. In fact, it’s far from it. This is a dark, twisted, deep story of the struggles Dusty/Daisy has been through and is still going through. Her day to day fight within herself. Get ready y’all, there are things you WON’T be expecting at all.

Thank you for another great read Quinn. You rock babe!! 🖤☠️🖤

Aahmazing

I loved this insight into Dusty, it's not unicorns and rainbows but it's raw and real and goes a way to explaining what makes Dusty makes the decisions she does. Amazingly written and I can't wait for the next installment in th series. Definitely a read for anyone that loves MC lifestyle.

I’m going to start this off by saying this is not a sunshine and rainbows read. This book is dark and will keep you on your toes. Plot twists will come out of left field and leave you asking what is going on? I loved watching Dusty be broken down and left in ashes only to see her rise from the ashes like a dark Phoenix.

Emotional destruction, physical pain, passion and broken dreams are just a few things found in the pages. The diabolical tale woven by Quinn Ryder has left me wanting to know how Dusty’s tragic story ends so I will definitely be reading the next book in the Devils Armada series.

Wow! Where do I start?

Dusty's idea of going it alone and away from her sister soon turned into a path of darkness, drugs and self destruction at the hands of her idea of the Devil.
There are twists and turns and definite shocks throughout the book, and I have a feeling they'll be a whole lot more throughout the Devils Armada MC which I can't wait for!
An awesome read from an awesome author...I was gripped from the first chapter!

Bring on Cipher's book Quinn!

I LOVED this book!!! What an apt title, beautiful play of words. If the cover didn't draw you in, the trigger warning sure as hell will. If you warn me off and tell me not to, I'll jump in without hesitation! And what a ride I had with the Devil's Armada. Dusty/Daisy bares her soul, warts and all. Quinn doesn't hold back; she gives us a glimpse into the dark soul and reasoning behind Dusty/Daisy's choices. We are so eager to judge a person, but walking in Daisy's shoes, you understand the deep tracks and scars left by the devil that ran through her veins. Quinn, you have us waiting in anticipation for Cipher, to ride in on his steal horse....

I just have no words to say.

This book had me from the beginning. There were times when I had to stop reading because of what Dusty went through. Dusty is stronger that what she thinks but bad decisions changed her. And don't get me started on the monster that changed her.
This definitely isn't a sweet book and there are a lot of triggers in it. It's not a love story at all and that's what I loved about it. It's a story about the monsters that walk this earth. The darkness that lurks around every dark alley. Every monster that preys on innocent women and brings them into the darkness with them.

This is one of those books where you live and hate the heroine in equal measure. Daisy/Dusty does something and you want to slap her then she shows that vulnerable side and went she did the bad thing, just as you think she's ok she is mixed up from her past she does something else to get your back up. Guerilla is vile and she needs to be away from him, Cipher seems to have actual feelings for her but he's way too good for her. Quinn writes books that I don't want to end but I do because I want the next one

Wow!

Ok so my feelings are all over the place. One on side I want to feel bad for Dusty/Daisy. However I'm not sure if she is redeemable. Kind of love to have her sort of thing.

Now that Epilogue about Cipher goodness. Bring on the next book, I need to find out what that was all about!

I can honestly say I do not like Dusty/Doris. Whilst I would not wish her on my worst enemy I do think she deserves everything that is going to come at her.

Great book

Is evil born or created, is someone either inherently good or evil. Could she have been a better person if someone had cared or was that part of her always there just waiting to come out. He was truly evil, he set his sites on her and built her into what he wanted corrupting her with drugs. She was sent to be a pawn and discover their secrets but what she found instead was a way to get away and become someone else. She also discovered a darker side to even people she once trusted.

Dusty's Tracks is a well-written story about a girl whose circumstances shape her into something not nice. Sometimes you feel for her while other times not so much. To say she has demons would be an understatement.

So, why read about her, you ask?

Simple - the writing is engaging and Dusty is so complex you can't help but follow along on the journey. Plus I have no doubt the next book, Cipher's Code is going to be a page-turner.

Oh what is a girl to do when she has a older sister and follows her because shes afraid and doesn’t want o be alone. Dealing with her own insecurities and fears Dusty bites off far more than she can chew.

These characters will hook you in and keep you turning the page until the end of the book. And counting down till you get the next book!!

Omg!!! Another amazing read By Quinn!!! I didn’t like Dusty at first but then I fell in love with her... she is a kindred soul that speaks to me.... she just wants someone to value her and not tell her she’s good enough but show her she’s good enough. Make her feel like she’s more than enough!!! I have read and re read this book so many times... I can’t wait for more....

Dusty's Tracks by Quinn Ryder is part of the Devil's Armada MC series.  We get the backstory of Dusty/Daisy and see what drives her and what drowns her.  I loved the details gained from this story and the deeper look into the characters.  I can not wait to read Cipher's Code to see what happens next.

Loved this and also hated it. Wanted to reach in and slap her but then I wanted to hug her and tell her everything will be fine. Loved what she said to Switchblade at the beginning. I can’t wait to read the next book
