This was a great short shifter romance with a curvy heroine and the sweetest bear shifter named Dorian.

Bella signed up for the shifter dating app for her job, she doesn't expect to find her perfect match, but when she does he's all about her.

Dorian has been waiting for his mate for years, and when he finally finds her nothing will stop him from having his curvy and beautiful mate.

I'm not really one for shorts, but it was the dialogue that was the issue- not the length. I don't know if it was in a different language and translated by a computer not a person or what, but once Dorian and... I already forgot her name...

Anyway when they talk suddenly its weirdly formal and has a bad Dracula movie vibe. "I vant to suck your blood" but bear. It was all down hill from them actually meeting.

Bummer.

Two stars because I've read worse. Although if it was a full length novel, I probably wouldn't have made it

The grammar could use some work. You actually have to reread some sentences to understand them. So it takes away from the enjoyment of the book.

Also I understand this is a BBW book, but she is constantly talking down about herself so that tends to be a turnoff.

Well … I finished this book … so win?

I completely blame Me, My Shelf, & I for my picking this up. I mean she found the synopsis for Book 15, Ben & Kent, funny and that really did not mean that I had to read Book 1 … but I’ve decided to blame her instead of myself for bad life choices.

This short little novella features a bear shifter who meets his soulmate and sexy-times ensue. All of this I’ve read before on a number of Kindle Unlimited books so none of this was particularly different or fun.

However, there was something about the writing which I did not enjoy (see my notes). After a while I stopped bothering to take notes because I had an issue almost on every 2 pages. There were a few obvious errors which makes me think that the author did not really have an editor. I mean given that it is on KU I suppose that is fine (?) - but not worth it in my opinion.

Didn’t like it - 1 star.

Side note: there was a reference to mice shifters - I was hoping one book out of the 15 would be mice shifters but not such luck. 😞

I don't understand all the 5 Star reviews. The writing style to me was strange, a lot of weird language/speech patterns & choices. There was a lot of repetitive negative comments/observations from the "heroine", over and over no matter that the whole world knew different, I couldn't like her.

Dorian is a forty year old bear shifter who is still waiting to meet his mate but there is a new app for shifters wanting to meet their mates that has also added DNA matching and he was among the first offered a chance to do it. Now he waits. Bella is a curvy young woman at twenty-five who is a beta tester and gets a kit that requires her to do the test and if she is matched go on one date to see if it really is what it is advertising. Right off they are matched ,she doesn't care that he is older the way he looks if he really is looking for someone like her but doesn't really think he is and he thinks she is beautiful and really had expected she would be younger,he has waited his whole life for his mate. Now the special thing is both have waited for their someone special just she didn't think anyone would ever really want her and he was giving up on finding his true mate.Dinner didn't start off the best but not because they weren't both happy with what they saw in each other but with a few changes things turned out better. But was this a real match?? Reading this story you will see how things work out. What happens when a male lone wolf shifter gets to close when she is alone in the woods before she is mated. Until she got the beta tester kit she didn't know shifters and humans could mate as shifters had just came out a year before so a lot wasn't known by most people. You get to see what happens and how they deal with it along with what they are doing a year down the line. Are they together?

Brilliant

Loved this first book of the series. Dorian has been waiting for his mate his bear is getting restless and then the mating app matches him up to Bella his mate and can’t wait to see her.
Bella signed up the app as she was getting paid to do it looking for ways to simplify the app she never expected to be matched to Dorian a very hot looking shifter this is so out of Bella’s comfort zone she doesn’t go out likes being at home but agrees a time and day for date.
The date doesn’t go well at the beginning as the waiter isn’t happy they haven’t ordered anything yet they have been too busy pc hating and getting to know each other so Dorian takes Bella to his cabin as he will cook them dinner.
Bella feels the connection to Dorian and wants to go with it but her insecurities keep popping up. Bella spends the night at Dorians as she fell asleep on the couch but wakes in his bed still dressed.
After that first day Bella moves in as they can’t stand to be parted Dorian is just what Bella needs he is attentive, loving, always looking after her making her feel safe she realises she loves him and wants for him to mark her as his and yes she will marry him.

Dorian and Bella are freaking wonderful together. ♥️♥️ Dorian is the epitome of a possessive cinnamon roll 🍯😩 and Bella is a girl who questions her worth. Dorian brings out the best in Bella. He builds her up and wants to know everything out her. He is so freaking open and accepting.

This is also an age gap romance with double virgins. 😮‍💨 I love a virgin hero, but a bear shifter virgin hero who has waited for his mate? Cue the swooning! 🥵

Bella thicccc and Dorian has got the hottest dad bod. 🤤 I love a fated mate trope. And they go so well with a novella! 👏🏻👏🏻 The “I love yous” coming fast fits perfectly with the theme. Not to mention the obsession is so sweet.

This is my 1st older man younger curvy woman shifter story by this author and I hope that she writes more curvy shifter stories hint hint and I loved Dorian’s and Bella’s story. Bella is an introvert she works from home she tests computer programs including games I guess you could call her a beta tester, Bella has a problem with her weight she’s heard enough people put her down that’s why she doesn’t have any confidence. Dorian is a ranger he’s a bear shifter he loves his job, his bear is pacing around it wants his mate and so does Dorian but he’s not going to go traipsing all over the world looking for her. Dorian has joined a shifter dating app he knows that his mate is on there and he’s determined to find her. I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Love a Bear shifter! This is about Dorian and Bella. Dorian is a Bear shifter but is also a Ranger in the National Park. Where they both live, animal shifting has been accepted but is still astonishing. Bella is a 25 years Old virgin, who prefers to work and entertain herself at home alone. She is also a plus size woman who has been hurt by those around her that have judged or humiliated her, so he is done with that. Her next job is to test out an app for the client but it entails to go out on a date. She is uncomfortable but agrees as it is her job. Dorian is 40 years old and his bear wants his mate. He too joins this app to see if it truly works. Well guess what happens next????? This is a short but great story - like I said in my title I love animal shifters.

I have read quite a few of Erin's books and I believe that this is her first shifter romance and I have to say she hits it out of the park. The book flows well and kept me engaged and for a short read that takes less than an hour I didn't feel short changed in the story line

Bella is a shy introverted girl who has had many people in her life making comments about her weight her job is to test apps for the designers and her latest one to test is a dating app for shifters and what better way to test it than to use her own details and she gets a match Dorian is a bear shifter who works as a ranger and he and his bear both want to fond their mate they can't go travelling looking for her so they decide to try the modern way and app. This bear loves a curvy woman so Bella is perfect for him and his bear is locked onto her Can they have a future together You will have to read to see

Bella can just about handle that shifters are real, and so she uses a new dating app which also houses DNA in order to match mates. In her case, it is telling her that she has a match and it is with a Bear shifter - a large part of her worries that it is a scam so she is being ultra-cautious in order to make sure this really is real. Bear shifter Dorian has been waiting for years to find his mate and so is very impatient now. So when he is notified by the app that his mate is out there, he is determined to find her no matter what it takes. Can they find and believe that each other is real and the feelings are also real?

His was a nice short story which was a little disjointed in a few place and so a little had to believe sometimes but was overall a nice shifter story with a fated mate at the end. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Bella puts in her profile & is matched with Dorian. They go on a date and is looked down upon by the waiter due to her weight. Bella isn't sure if this whole dating thing isn't a hoax.
There is sexual content which is suitable for 18+. By the end of this book it tells of there life. I am venturing a guess that the series is about his clan. I am going to do time to read these stories.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Dorian is the first book in the ‘’shifter dating app’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Bella is a curvy woman that is insecure. As a beta tester, she has to join a new shifter dating app. Dorian is a forty year old park ranger and bear shifter. He is eager to find his mate. When he does find her will she give him a chance?
The chemistry between Dorian and Bella is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Bella is an introvert except from seeing her friend she stays home until she gets the chance working with this app which helps shifters find there mates but better than that they lobe curvy ladies. So when the new beta trial comes in she tries it out and is in for a shock.

All Dorian wants is his forever mate and when that day comes he is shocked in awe and in utter love... amd so is his bear.

I really love this book and it shows how far the author has come and her talent is shining bright. Overall a great new start to a fab new series. I really hope Bellas friend gets her story too.

Bella is more or less an introvert. She keeps to herself, doesn't date, doesn't go out, and she's a software coder. Her friend talks her into doing the Dating App. Bella's not sure it's real and when she's matched with a Bear shifter that looks like Dorian she thinks this is a fake picture. They agree on a date and they find that they can talk for hours. They decide to leave the restaurant and go do Dorian's house as he said he could cook. These two are so sweet together. Dorian's bear is so impatient he want's to mark his mate the first minute he meets her. Also a very steamy story. This story grabs you at the beginning and pulls you into the story. Beautiful. Her new client is for the shifter dating app. Dorian is a bear shifter and a park ranger. He has been looking for his mate for a while. The characters have chemistry. You can picture the scenes that are written. You can feel the chemistry and emotions between the characters. This is a good first book of a series.

When she given a dating app to test she's concerned. She knows shifters exist but doesn't really know much. Once the DNA portion of the test is done they both get an alert saying a match is found. Bella is nervous since she's a bigger girl and she's afraid he won't want her. Great HEA in the end.

This is the story of Bella a shy quiet girl who wants to find the love of her life but is hesitant to do so. Dorian is a bear shifter. As he gets older, his inner bear is anxious for his mate. Bella is a curvy computer nerd who prefers to keep to herself.
