WOULD YOU RISK YOUR LIFE FOR YOUR EX?

Noah's old girlfriend Olivia invites him to see her musical debut in the Big Apple.

That's the bait.

She introduces him to her manager, Queenie, a visionary who wants to help young musicians reach their potential.

That's the hook.

But not the real story.

Daughter of the Triad leader Noah ripped off, Queenie's under the gun to pay off a huge debt to the head of a Russian mob. She figures getting back her father's cash is the fastest way out of her jam and puts on an Oscar-winning act.

But this isn't Noah's first rodeo. As he unravels Queenie's charade, she ups the ante by taking a hundred schoolchildren hostage.

As pissed as Noah might be at his ex, there's no way he'd abandon innocent kids.

If you like Vince Flynn's laser-focused Mitch Rapp , the coiled intensity of Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne and the deadly moves of Bruce Lee, you'll love the high-voltage Noah Reid Action Thriller series.

What Readers are Saying

★★★★★ The Noah Reid books are brilliant thrillers that are excellently written and keep you hooked from beginning to end.

★★★★★ Lowe brings international understanding and fills his characters with a vivid reality. I was captivated from end to end.

★★★★★ Love Wesley's books. Great flow and plot filled with drama, suspense, mystery.

★★★★★ I highly recommend this book for any suspense and thriller lovers.

★★★★★ Being the history buff that I am, I like all types of interesting facts about the past. The research that Wes did on the Shaolin was amazing. It takes an excellent writer to detail things and not have it come out boring or too wordy!

★★★★★ Wes writes to involve the reader, with a strong attention to the detail, the background to the storyline and the action. His characters are strong and very developed with lots of special touches to make you fall in love with them.

★★★★★ This story grabbed me from page one and I read it all in one setting. I just could not put the book down.

When readers compare my writing to Ian Fleming, Lee Childs and Tom Clancy, I'm flattered, grateful and in all honesty, embarrassed.

While Noah is one kickass dude, his Christian upbringing combined with a deep Shaolin Buddhist training, gives him a special depth that helps me write the kinds of stories that I love to read--action thrillers that grip the soul.

I write what I know and care about.

My work is infused with relentless furious action and/or paranormal charismata. Contemporary worlds infused with mysticism. Breathless, brain-twisting plots. High stakes suspense that churns the psyche.

But ultimately it is knowing and experiencing the lives of people that provide the impetus of Stories that Grip the Soul.

I've made music with Kainai First Nations, helped save Russian refugees from deportation, hung with Martial Arts Grandmasters, counseled WWII vets on their deathbeds. Not to mention deep Chinese, cultural participation,

Wesley Robert Lowe is an award-winning writer, filmmaker and composer (including four seasons on Sesame St.).

This episode continues the efforts of Chin Chee Fok, former prized martial arts student of Master Wu and head of a strong criminal empire, who tries to recover the billions of dollars in Ill-gotten gains that were stolen from him by previous partners Garret Southam and Tommy Sung (who Chin had killed), to set up their daughters. The partners’ daughters, Olivia (who had been romantically involved with Noah Reid) and Abby, would not accept the money and agreed that Noah should take it and run a foundation to help disadvantaged children, and then left Hong Kong for New York to pursue a music career.

Chin, still recovering from near-fatal burns, had lost two sons, Duke (“Tiger”) and King (“Snake”) in the effort, now pressed Queenie (“Crane”) to do his dirty work. She had many enemies and was deeply in debt, so she desperately needed money quickly. She devised a plan link up with Olivia and Abby to lure Noah to New York to fund an artist school for gifted needy kids. Noah and his friend JJ, a Shaolin monk who survived King’s attack on the monastery (in which Master Wu was killed), went to New York and were in constant danger during the sustained attacks from Queenie’s henchmen.

This book is well-planned and can certainly be read as a stand-alone novel, but it is a great series with lots of action, vivid descriptions and strong characters that pulled me in and kept me up late, turning pages. If you like thrillers with martial arts fighting and twisting, turning plots, this is for you! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and am eager to read the next installment.

Manipulate - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Chin and his evil offspring continue to cause non-stop problems for MC Noah Reid, his friends and his loved one, in Manipulate, (a revamp of Wes Lowe's excellent third novel, in the all-action thriller series, Noah Reid Thrillers), that's even better and more tautly-strung this time round.

With King, his son and heir dead and the Triad Master himself out of action, (both thanks to Noah) it falls to the equally-deadly Mistress of Manipulation, the crane-fixated Queenie, to try and get out of her financial woes, by recovering the money Noah took from her father, (and used to set up a Foundation in his late friend Chad's memory).

Who wins? Who is the survivor of the deadly avian assassin's mutated monstrosities?

Do whatever you have to, to manipulate yourself into getting a copy of Wes Lowe's great new novel in his Noah Reid Thrillers series.

It's no joke! While our unlikely trio of Noah, JJ (a former Shaolin Monk), and a street wise teen named Sam didn't actually "walk into a bar", they did walk into a hell of a mess. They didn't realize they were in the cross hairs of an old enemy whom Noah thought he had killed, and the daughter who wants to take revenge on Noah for both her father and her brother (who Noah did kill.) Throwing in a bunch of lethal (either dead or alive) red-crested cranes used as attack birds (ha) and some kick-ass martial arts, means the action never wanes. There are so many twists and turns that you almost need a scorecard and roadmap to keep up. This story is definitely a killer!!

I received an ARC of this chapter of the Noah Reid adventure stories, but I leave this review because I LOVED IT!!

Noah's former girlfriend, Olivia, invites him to New York. Queenie is Chin's daughter, who tricks Olivia into getting Noah to come to help her with a financial venture. Chin is out for revenge on Noah. This is another page turner and a heart pounding conclusion.

Wow. Noah just seems to go from one bloody, crazy, death-crazed fight to another! Quick thinking under pressure, he sure is an amazing character! I enjoy all the unusual interests and abilities Chin’s kids exhibit. I could not put this book down!
