Mixed feelings about this one.

It was almost all cases I had never heard of so I learned a lot, and you can definitely tell the author did a ton of research. She does a great job of giving you the info without making you feel like you’re reading a textbook, but the presentation of the info in trivia form kinda got old for me. For me, I think I would’ve enjoyed this much better had there just been different chapters for each case.

DNF a little more than halfway through.

This book bored the pants off of me. I was reading it alternately with my fiction books, but eventually just stopped.

It really just vomits facts at you too much too fast, with no deep dive into any case. I like to really learn about cases, and this is definitely not the book for that.

Oh well, on to the next!

I really liked this. I didn’t love that so many had zero leads. I know they are cold cases but that still sucks. Sometimes it felt like the author tried to hard to think of different ways to say “it remains a cold case” at the end of the stories. We know it’s in the title of the book.
