The Bots have a new drama teacher who is going to put on a production of "Wizard of Bots". He first casts the students, and then has a run through before the show that night. Will they be ready in time?

That was definitely one of the wild and wackiest rewrites of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz I've ever read. But very entertaining, and including genius bits I wish were included in the original. Less you think this is too zany, I suggest you read a few more of L. Frank Baum's original Oz stories. They are just as wild. This would fit right in.

Notes on content: There are perilous situations but it is all pretend for the play.

A children's graphic novel. The Botsville school is putting on a production of The Wizard Of Bots. We start with a hammy artíste director and some auditions. Then one kid gets bonked in the head and dreams he's in Oz, or wherever. That lasts most of the book. Then he comes out of it and is back on stage.

There are some funny moments. It definitely helps if you've seen the movie. I didn't like the pacing. I would have rather either stuck with the stage play the whole way through, or had the dream sequence come to a better resolution.
