Great story

I am thoroughly enjoying this series and would recommend it to others.

One thing I wish the author would have included more of throughout all of her books, was compassion for other Christians and nonbelievers alike. For example, you have a pastor and his wife who are going through some very difficult times but when shown compassion by other Christians they are distrustful and only focused on themselves. They don't consider how they can give back to the people who helped them, only what they can do to make their life better and never have to see these people again. I would think after all their fellow Christians had done for them, at personal risk to themselves, it would have developed a certain level of trust and bond between them, but that is never conveyed.

Overall, the series is very good at adding twists and turns to keep you guessing as to the final outcome.

Excellent Series

I was riveted from the 1st paragraph of book 1 California to the last word in Alaska! This series has been a balm to my soul and excitement for my senses. Jamie Grey is an amazing author, clearly a woman of God and her storytelling ability is truly a gift. The way she shows the humanity , the evil the strength and the frailty of all the main characters is astonishing.
I could see myself in each character at different times throughout the stories. I could see myself standing strong in my faith, I could see myself stumbling and doubting, I could see myself at the end of my rope not knowing what to do. I am recommending this book to many Of my Christian friends and fellow book nerds. Thank you once again to the author this series has been a blessing to my life .

I stole this review but it fit so well that I couldn't have said it better myself
"What a compelling, fast-paced, story of intrigue! With miracles and twists to keep the reader engaged. This author is a genius in her storytelling and suburb in weaving a tale that makes you want to read faster to find out what will happen next. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries and Christian reading. This book will not disappoint.

This whole series captivated me, it was slow in parts especially the driving in the first book but the overall story was so interesting I had to know what happened. I don't think I have ever read a book with a storyline like this one and that made it special on its own.

Some of the characters are "lame' especially the brother but you needed all the characters to bring the whole story together.

Just when you think the story is wrapping up......

Jamie Lee Grey writes a masterful story of repentance and forgiveness, intrigue, action, and high stakes crisis. Her character development is spot on as she navigates the internal war we wage to walk in obedience to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As in real life, time and again God steps in to answer prayer for those who are humble before him, yet with each new crisis, the characters are challenged to avoid trying to control the outcomes and simply trust God as they walk through the shadows in the valley of death. Can’t wait for the last installment of this series.

Canada is the best installment in the series so far

It had been one week.since Zack and his wife had been accused of the fires that wiped out California ,The seating president was dead by apart suicide , :we York had been nuked, An EMP sent America back to the 19 century, the white house was bombed , and And Zach's does had died leaving his brother and mother homless and penniless in Canada . What could happen next ?
In Canada you'll continue the jaw dropping journey of the daughter.of Babylon series .
Everyone from this series will be tested like.never before

Kind of Dropped

After so many books worth so many cliffhangers within each book, this one didn't have me holding breath the entire time I read it. There was plenty of action and drama and plot twists. That's not what I'm saying at all. It was just easier on me this time.

I can't wait to see how all of these characters conclude in the final book of this series. But then, I'm kinda sad this will be the last book.

I'll have to try another one of her book series when I finish this one.

Great story

While I love to read Jamie Lee Grey, I am finding it more irritating to read these short stories every few months to catch up with the characters. She isn’t the only author for sure to follow this format. It seems to be more and more the norm. The only way to really enjoy the book is to wait until they come out in book format. Ms. Grey is an excellent writer. We would wait for her if she decided to write a complete novel before publishing!

Wavering Faith

This series was a frustrating read. However the story line was too good to stop. Even as the story unfolded we see God’s hand and his provisions, how he cares for those who love and trust him. My frustration came from one of the main characters. Wavering is faith is not faith, trusting in God leaves no room for doubt! This character wavered so much i almost stopped reading and enjoying the series.

Fantastic

I score this series and author. Recommend her books to anyone that just enjoys good fiction but especially other people of faith.

In this series there is action and danger from the highest office of the land to the every day families trying to survive in post apocalyptic times. There is a strong theme of faith in God which blesses me with every book I read.

Another fast paced story

The twists and turns in this story will make your head spin. Hard to believe it's been only 6 days since the California fires. Katie and little Tim face many threats and dangers. Evan is falling hard and fast for Elizabeth. Evan and Alana try to navigate their newfound Christianity as they face trials of conscious.

Canada

This KU library selection is the continuation of the postapocalyptic Daughter of Babylon series. The three pov storylines share similarities in the experiences of the featured characters, and all confront danger and losses as the USA crumbles. Canada seems to offer respite from the near nonstop catastrophes and confusion, but not all is as it once was, even there.

Confession and Forgiveness

I really love how JL Grey weaves these two together in the book the s
Heartfelt Salvations that we have seen are climaxed by the Wisdom of Elizabeth’s father here. The Ambassador really shines when he encourages right action even when it hurts. Looking forward to great things in Alaska!

Each book more exciting than the last

That's about all I can say. You'll be angry. You'll be sad. You'll want to throttle some of the characters. But most of all, you'll want it to never end and at the same time, can't wait to have issues resolved somehow.
Enjoy!!!

One more book

This series has kept me totally engaged in the story. I even dreamed about the characters at night. How will it all end? There is actually more than one story about one person or family. Many characters with differing backgrounds all told in one fantastic story

Another good one!

This was another good book in this series. I did have a struggle with the characters being told to forgive or they would lose their salvation. It was still a good read!

Great sdries

Although I personally find it confusing to switch from one group to another, I understand it is necessary to keep the timeline the same through all lives. The story itself is fantastic.

REALLY bad theology presented so confidently. I was able to overlook minor issues in other books, but I can’t recommend this series based on the theology in this book alone. The writing was dry and slow also, but I need to find out what happens to the characters so will read the last book.
