Stunning social media meltdowns. Glamorous dueling power couples. Mega-viral scandals and dizzying Internet super-spin. No one is better than the Pure Talent Agency at handling it all—or facing down up-close-and-personal bad news . . .
Superstar actress Paige Mills is America’s Sweetheart. But with a shocking divorce, she's burning her powerful husband’s house of lies right down to the ground. Reeling from ugly revelations and unable to trust anyone, she takes refuge way off the celebrity grid in her family’s remote Michigan lake house. But the brilliant agent who helped shape her success won’t give up his client—or his long-simmering passion for her—without a fight . . .
Andrew Weathers can't let the gifted, caring woman he's always loved wreck her career. And at first, he just wants to help her hope again. But soon their professional chemistry turns into days and nights of no-holds-barred desire—and a resulting publicity firestorm. Now, between hard choices and potentially career-ending consequences, can Paige and Drew risk a seemingly impossible happy ending?
Born and raised in Southeast Michigan near Ann Arbor, Elle learned the importance of reading from her mother. It was also her mother who, later on in her life, gave Elle her first romance novel: Indigo by Beverly Jenkins. From that moment on, Elle became a fan of Ms. Jenkins for life and a lover of all things romance. An old journal she wrote back in college became her first book (which she still wants to publish one day).
Such a good series. Loved Paige and Andrew and honestly it was cute. A little misunderstanding but they were great together. Highly recommend this series.
Some will say they aren’t fans of Hollywood storylines but those must be folks that haven’t read an Elle Wright book. She has a talent to dig deeper and write characters that are relatable regardless of their profession. And, her latest book is no exception.
The story centers around Paige who is a Hollywood actress going through a very messy divorce. And, then there is Drew who is her agent and friend. What happens when the two of them are realistic about their feelings?
This book isn’t just fluff as there are scenarios that we or someone we know have encountered. And, while this is a book within a series it is not necessary to read those before it as it can be a standalone. As always, Elle Wright does not disappoint!
I have been waiting for this book since finishing book 2, and I was not disappointed. Paige Mills, AKA Black America's Sweetheart is still going through a divorce with her slime bag of a soon to be ex, Julian. But Julian keeps playing dirty. Paige feels she needs a break, and decides to go off the grid, without telling anyone, including her agent/friend, Andrew Weatherspoon. Once Andrew is able to track Paige down (with persistence and the help of her mother, Tina), he attempts to get back in her good graces after ignoring her. They eventually discover there is a mutual attraction to each other and they decide to see where it goes. Although they try to keep it hidden, the media eventually finds out and Julian tries to go for the jugular. Will they finally be able to be happy together, or will they end it for good?
If you're familiar with the Wellspring Series, then you already know that Parker Sr is Elle's most hated character. This book has his match with in a totally different person and series. The story was engaging, and I really the characters, as well as the struggles they went through. A great ending to the series
Act three was the best. Although I enjoyed the first two, this one added more depth and drama to the mix. And I know Julius will get his just due. Xavier is always cool, and Sky is really amazing. Getting to know Andrew and Paige as a couple was painful watching them have to hop and skip through so many loops. I was happy to see them make it, period.
This is book 3 in “The Pure Talent Series” and end to an awesome series.
Elle Wright is an awesome writer, love the way that she makes her characters believable, down to earth, entertaining, witty, leaves you waiting for the next back and wanting her to hurry up with the next book. Paige Mills was introduced in Skye and Garrett's book “The Way You Hold Me”. Paige is an a-list actress, Skye is her publicist and Andrew Weathers is her agent and works at Pure Talent Agency.
Paige is divorcing her scandalous soon to be ex-husband Julius who is using every trick in the book to not grant her a divorce. Paige is at her wits end but she has an awesome powerhouse attorney Demi who’s not letting Paige give up.
Andrew Weathers is Paige’s agent and is very much attracted to her. Andrew decides to pull away from Paige and does not return any of her phone calls nor her texts. Paige feels rejected by Drew who has always been there for her and goes into seclusion. Drew is dealing with own family issues with his mom Connie who has injured herself and is in need of surgery.
Drew decides to track Paige down and finds her with the help her famous talented singer mom Tina. Paige is not too friendly nor forgiving. Drew is willing to do whatever it takes to get back into Paige’s life and explains too her why he has been missing in action.
Paige and Drew are awesome together but ex-husband Julius is not done with Paige even with all of the troubles that keep coming his way. Julius spots Drew at a bar with his friend Xavier and decides to run his mouth about Paige and Drew is having no parts of it and when Drew is done with Julius, and Julius is probably wishing he never approached Drew.
This is a great read and an end to the series. Pick up your copy today you will not be disappointed; you will find out will Drew and Paige get their HEA, will Drew’s mom Connie get the grandbaby she wants, read about Julius fate. It is most definitely a page turner.
I would really love for Elle to write about Drew’s brothers Connor and Damon.
I received an ARC from Net galley and I’m leaving a voluntary review.

this prompted me to think about actors and more specifically actors who were exposed to the media at a very young age or as for paige since she was in the womb.
the way paige acted was too much like a child. of course it is normal to seek guidance and ask for help when you can but, paige asked for it too much as if she cant barely stand on her own two feet without someone beside her. this made me think of my thesis 🤨☝🏼.
i often hear child celebs say that they grew up too fast; they had to fit in and be their own adult. however is it possible that maybe they were just still kids acting adult? its not like they were already considered an adult in their preteen body. and they should never had to because at the end of the day they were children. trying to fit in. in an adult scene. they havent even gone through their puberty yet.
its like normal people, we grow up and we go through so many people. we go through many phases and see many people that have never met the people we met and would never meet the people we met. sometimes we go in and out of so many different circles of people. and the only people who really are a constant are our family and maybe that one or two friends from high school. BUT celebs no matter how many cycles of friends they go through, thats just it, the cycle never stops. everyone knows everybody. they have the manager they had the publicist, the agent, the makeup artist, stylist and they are all doing all this stuff for them from when they were infants making them not grow into this fully functioning human being. THATS NOT TO SAY IM SAYING PAIGE IS USELESS its just that she has a very limited view of the world and she needs everyone else to do anything other than her job. shes still stuck at this child age at her grown age and its just frustrating to see. and she cant accept that but she also doesnt do anything about it and dwells and dwells so much.
also EYE lerv when the guy loves the girl harder but andrew… STAND UP. have a little more push like u r just going to accept her back??? CMON. hate the third act break ups 🤬🤬🤬 like yall are too grown to not just be talking shit out and being like this like… so embarrassing. ngl the first half was the part that took so long to finish but i pulled through. the sexc scenes aren’t too spicy and that. is. okay. people. but it got tiring and repetitive where it got to the point of me just skipping it. saur….. my bad

The Way You Love Me, by Elle Wright, is a sweet and relatively uncomplicated novel about a Hollywood star ("Black America's Sweetheart") and her long-time agent finally acting on their previously slow-burning and unacknowledged attraction to each other. It's the third in a series, and I get the impression that it might have been helpful to read at least the immediately preceding story, but it still worked reasonably well as a standalone.
I love stories when two people who've been friends forever finally take the step. It really adds something special to the intimate scenes; kind of like there's this wonder and joy on top of the hot and heavy, and it gives me all the right feels. Andrew and Paige are both very likeable, and rooting for them is no hardship. I do wish Paige giggled less and that Andrew hadn't all but abandoned Paige at the beginning of the story, but otherwise their chemistry works well.
That said, this story is more of a 3.5 for me. Partly, it's my fault because I don't personally love Hollywood romances. In real life, the chances of a relationship working out are slim, so it's hard to buy into a story where at least one of the protagonists is an actor. Apart from that, I was a little bit frustrated by what to me was a lot of unnecessary conflict. The weirdest one for me was a talk show interview that Paige did; it's never clear why her publicist (the heroine of book 2) felt like taking the interview was a good idea. Therefore, the fallout fell flat for me.
Overall though, it's a cute and satisfying story with a great cast of characters.
I gratefully received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks!
Paige Mills is a renowned actress who has ended a nasty divorce and is ready to move on with the rest of her life. She takes a self-imposed break at her family's lake house in Michigan. But this choice could ruin her career. Andrew Weathers has been Paige's agent for over a decade and the two have shared a great working relationship. However, Andrew is the first to admit that he has always handled this professional relationship with a bit more personal care. He arrives at the lake house to do a wellness check but instead a fire sparks, leaving them wondering if what they have is worth exploring. Let me begin by saying that this book, especially the first half, has some of the strongest writing I have seen from author Elle Wright of her books I have read. From the first page, I was caught up in Paige and Andrew's story. I had been introduced them in her prior work so I was ready for them to get the spotlight. The author's use of setting and description gave me a front seat view to the tiny flicker of passion to an explosion of their desire. Their chemistry for each other was apparent...and hot. And, even though I believed the conflict was relatively mild, I think many will enjoy their journey to happy-ever-after. I love reading about friends-to-lovers and I think many will enjoy this read. My heart smiled a lot. Solid writing from this author. 4.5 stars Thank you #Netgalley and #Harlequin for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The Way You Love Me is book three in Elle Wright’s Pure Talent Series. In this last installment we find Paige Mills is going through a divorce and it has not been a pretty one. With both of them being in the spotlight, there is so much scrutiny and lies, Paige disappears to her family’s Michigan lake house. She tells no one especially her agent Andrew Weathers who she feels has abandon her. Unbeknownst to Paige, Andrew has been avoiding her because he does not want to display his true feelings for Paige. He decides to locate Paige and stop fighting his feelings. As the two explore their feelings, the outside world will ultimately intrude and the two will make choices that could possibly result in them not getting happy ending.
Overall, I really enjoyed Paige and Andrew’s story. Paige was unsure why Andrew pulled away initially and once she saw how determined he was to get back in her good graces, she let her guard down and allowed them to explore their relationship. They both realized the consequences of starting a relationship being that Paige was newly divorced. Was she on the rebound or were her feelings true, while Paige was waiting for the “other shoe to drop” and lose her trust in Andrew again? The character development was evident and readers will root for this couple’s happy ending.
I want to thank NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Corp. for sending me an ARC of "The Way You Love Me" to read and provide an unbiased review.
Wright closes out her "Pure Talent" trilogy with the phoenix rising redemption romance story of actress Paige Mills, America's Sweetheart, who is coming out of the world's nastiest, most publicly embarrassing divorce and her long time friend and agent, Andrew Weathers, who has had to watch the woman he has secretly loved for years suffer at the hands of her narcissistic ex-husband. If you love a "friends to lovers" romance, then "The Way You Love Me" needs to go on your must read list. Wright leverages the trope perfectly, by adding twists of having to learn to communicate in new ways, building and rebuilding trust following acts of running scared. It really is a delicious book to dive into and enjoy, especially if you like drama but don't like heavy angst, and you enjoy seeing rich family dynamics play out on page. (Wright does family and friend dynamics so well.)
This one is just a nice cozy 4 star read, with the disclaimer that its enjoyment is enhanced by having read the previous two books in the series so that you have a complete understanding of the relationships between the characters and the side characters.

This is the third installment in the Pure Talent Series. Paige is going through a divorce that is being played out in the media, it becomes messing when all the lies and revelation is reveal. Paige is left feeling as if she can’t trust anyone as her and her ex-husband life plays out in the spotlight. Paige disappears from the limelight and take refuge in her family’s remote Michigan lake house. Although Paige think that everyone has abandon her especially Andrew, she doesn’t tell anyone when she decided to leave.
Andrew Weathers is Paige’s agent who has been attracted to her for a while, when Andrew decided to pull away Paige, she feels as if she has no one she could turn to. Andrew has been avoiding her because he doesn’t his true feeling for Paige to show. Also, Drew has his own issue with his family. When Drew decide to locate Paige to once and for all to confront his feeling for her, the two begin exploring the possibility of a relationship.
Overall, I really enjoyed Paige and Andrew’s story. I love how the Mrs. Wright develop the characters and made them believable. The struggle the couple had been through and to come out being Happy, will have you rooting for them from the beginning.
The Way You Love Me is the third and final installment of the Pure Talent series. The author takes outside the Pure Talent office, in the field with the aftermath of A-list actress Paige Mills and Andrew Weathers, Paige's agent at Pure Talent.
The world of Paige's husband, Julius, with his infidelity and misuse of power in the industry has finally caught up with him. Instead of owning his mess and taking responsibility for his actions, he puts Paige right into the crosshairs of his Hollywood scandal. Paige has had enough, and while divorce proceedings are underway, she decides to lay low in an undisclosed place.
Always the professional, Andrew has stayed in the background letting nature take its course. In doing that, Paige's impression was he didn't care. Andrew found himself in a difficult position, watching the woman he secretly loved be pulled through Julius' mess as well as having her career put in jeopardy. But, when she goes off the grid, he knows he has to act or lose everything.
What I like most about The Way You Love Me is how the author had Paige and Andrew bare themselves and pull back all the layers to have that true romance.
I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
The Way You Love Me is the third book in the Pure Talent series, however it can be read as a stand-alone. All the books in the series are worth the read though.
I liked the dynamic of this one the most out of the three, being about longtime colleagues, actress Paige and her agent Andrew. Paige is dealing with a contentious divorce and Andrew is dealing with long-standing feelings for her that have made their partnership complicated. I melted as that yearning burned into passionate encounters, even as Paige’s life seemed to be imploding around her and they have to figure out how they can be together.
Paige’s ex is also an incredibly memorable antagonist, still trying to worm his way back into Paige’s life, in spite of everything that has gone down, and it was truly rewarding to see his life unravel once the story came to its conclusion.
I enjoyed this book (and this series overall), and think fans of contemporary romance with Black leads will enjoy this, especially if they also are interested in the ins and outs of show business.

The Way You Love Me is a sweet love story about Black Hollywood’s Sweetheart, Paige Mills, and her long-time agent, Andrew Weathers. After surviving a tumultuous divorce and feeling abandoned, Paige retreated to an undisclosed location. Drew worked hard to learn where Paige was hidden away, and went after Paige to express his regret for abandoning her. The pair learned they had feelings for each other that ran deeper than agent/client, and began a romantic relationship rather quickly.
As the couple goes through the transition from friends to lovers, readers get to experience the highs and lows of their journey. I tend to enjoy friends to lovers stories because couples seem to handle mishaps better due to the bond they’ve already formed as friends. I wanted Paige to give Drew a harder time after his initial abandonment, but I enjoyed the story overall. The characters were down to earth and believable. Their romance was sweet and a strong end to the series.
This is Book 3 in the Pure Talent series, but is easily read as a standalone.
My, oh my! What an awesome story! I recently read “The Way You Hold Me” and I’m so glad I did. It made reading this so much easier to connect with everyone again! Paige was definitely dealt an horrible hand in the likes of Julius Reeves! He received his just due towards the end and it was very fitting! I loved Paige and Andrew! They were determined, had a few bumps along the journey, but everything worked out the way it should have. You’ll have to read the book to understand!! 😉
Oh, yes... I died laughing with Paige as she called out Andrew about his loafers! 😂 All in all, this was an excellent book! I thoroughly enjoyed this and was riveted from the beginning throughout the end!! I definitely recommend this story. If you haven’t read the series, I suggest you grab all three books, sit back and enjoy! Kudos, Elle! 💜

Andrew was Paige's agent however he always harbored a deep love for her. Because of her marriage to another who turned out to make her miserable during the marriage, cheated on her with her former publicist during the marriage then tried to make her life even more miserable after she divorced his sorry behind, Andrew kept it professional with Paige until he no longer could. During some of Paige's lowest moments Andrew was there for her. It was also during those low moments that both Andrew and Paige admitted their love for each other first to themselves and then each other. I like that Paige had a really strong support system in all of her handlers, her mother, Andrew, his mother and his brothers! I like that you allowed Paige to understand just how much strength she had smack dab in the middle of pain, betrayal and finally success on her own terms. Elle, I did so enjoy this story about how one still loves again despite everything they have gone through before! Great story, thank you!
I loved this steamy, friends-to-lovers romance between a famous actress, Paige, and her talent agent, Andrew. From the very start of the story, I was engaged. The romance between Paige and Andrew begins when Paige goes into hiding to flee the press after a messy divorce with an awful ex-husband. Andrew visits her at her hideaway and after sorting through their misunderstandings, the romance begins!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Andrew's conflict between being Paige's agent and also loving her deeply. And I also enjoyed seeing Paige come into her own as she navigated an abusive ex-husband with learning to trust and love again.
Elle Wright's writing captivated me from page one. She is very skilled at bringing increasing plot tension on the page while ensuring that the developing romance is believable and natural. Thank you to Kensington Books and Net Galley for a complimentary e-copy of this book. All views are mine.

Paige Mills is Black America’s Sweetheart going through a scandalous divorce. After the divorce is finalized, her ex-husband keeps suing her for more money. Frustrated, Paige disappears to a lake house in Michigan. Her agent, Andrew, finds out where she is and tries to talk her into returning to LA to fulfill her commitments. As Andrew helps Paige to find herself again, they find themselves falling in love.
This is a slow-burn read. The story picks up when Andrew flies to Michigan. The relationship between Andrew and Paige is dynamic. They are so comfortable with each other because they have been friends for years. They have also had feelings for each other for a while, so the turn of events made an easy transition into their romance. Their love story is pretty steamy, so heads up! I would recommend this book to readers that like a steamy romance!

Actress Paige Mills is Black America's Sweetheart and her soon to be ex-husband is trying to drag her down with him when he is accused of being a serial abuser. Her agent and friend Andrew Weathers is doing everything he can to help her weather the storm of bad publicity.
Andrew and Paige fall in love but need to learn to set walls about their careers because they are agent and client.
The Way You Love Me is the third book in The Pure Talent Series but you need to read all of them because they are intertwined group of friends. But I’m wishing that Duke would get a book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I did not want to put this book down but you know, work has to happen at some point. The Way You Love Me was my first book by Elle Wright and I have no idea why it took me this long to start reading her books. In this third book of the Pure Talent series, Paige is trying to just get her divorce finalized and away from all the drama her ex-husband is involved in. When she reaches out to her agent, Andrew, he continues to avoid her. After she goes into hiding, Andrew finally decides to reach out to her. This books was amazing for how relatable Elle made the characters despite them both being in high profile careers. It really was a fantastic book that I wanted more of. I know I will definitely want to read the other books in this series and definitely read Elle’s other books now!
In this third installment of the Pure Talent we catch up with Paige Mills and Andrew Weathers. Paige continues to weather the storm of her failed marriage to the disgustingly deceitful Julius. The one person she seeks support and comfort from is her longtime agent and friend Andrew, whom she is starting to have more than platonic feelings for. Andrew however, is no where to be found. Andrew is trying to cope with his growing feelings for his longtime client and friend Paige. In this romantic tale of friends to lovers Paige and Andrew navigate their way through their individual fears and find their way to each other.

NOW! I felt my blood pressure rising in this book because it reminded me how DUMB men are.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, this is book 3 in the series and while i recommend reading the other two, it wasn't stricltly necessary to enjoy the story.
Paige Mills and Andrew were setting off fireworks from the jump which is why him taking his own sweet time to level up and be the man Paige needed him to be was SO annoying.
I loved the obvious explosive chemistry between them and watching them balance their business and romantic relationships
Paige was going through a messy divorce and Andrew is her agent. As her ex-husband continues to take her through drama, Paige decides to unplug from her life once the divorce is final and not let anyone on her team know where she is. When Andrew finds out that she has disappeared, he makes it his mission to find her. He does find her and their professional relationship moves to a personal and passion-filled one. Ms. Wright once again gives us a very well-written book. The book is filled with all types of emotions, characters from the previous books in the series and the love scenes are 🔥🔥🔥. You need to pick up this book and the rest in the series.
This was my least favorite in the series. I thought the narration was excellent, but I wasn't feeling Paige's character.
I could understand her initial anger, but Paige had a tendency to accuse without allowing any explanation. I even understood her hesitancy because of the trauma from her marriage, but Drew had stood by her side throughout all the drama Paige endured.
I could not connect with her character. She was overly emotional. Even when Drew was working to try and protect her and her career, she was somewhat dismissive, taking unnecessary risks.
I did appreciate the epilogue. I wish there had been an update on her ex-husband's situation.
