About the author

If you like heroes that bulldoze their heroines then this is the book for you.
Me? I hate men like these. Men that think they can control what the women should do, How to dress, which bed to sleep in, When he should meet her parents. What she needs to do with her house. Etc... Etc... Etc...

Men like these heroes are not appealing to me.

No one controls me. My mama did not raised a pathetic, pushover imbecile.

Talk about about being a bitch heroine.. for like 1 second does not count when she was apologizing for being rude and a bitch the next! When she tried to fix the problem herself, she was shamed by EVERYONE. she ended up feeling remorse that she didn’t let hero fix her problems.🤦🏻‍♀️

Here’s your safety note: both celibate after their first night together 6 months ago.

I have been a fan of Ahren Sander's for a while now and with books like this one it's no surprise why. MILLER'S TIME is the second book in the Southern Charmers Series and all I have to say is that it is definitely Miller's Time!

You know they say everything happens for a reason, well Miller finally finds out what that saying truly means when someone from his not so distant past comes back into his life. What was a chance meeting in a hotel bar turned into a weekend of pure bliss but when he awoke to an empty room Miller wasn't to thrilled, fast forward six months and the woman that rocked his world is rocking it again.

I skipped over reviewing Pierced Hearts because of the hero, but I wanted to give the author a second chance.

Unlike his brother, this guy isn't into raging at anyone and everyone, and while alpha is a very nice guy especially to the heroine.

Here, the heroine is a problem. Yeah, she pushed the H away with some flimsy excuses, but at heart she is completely flawed individual. Turns herself into a shark at work and "proves" herself to her work lover and the other guys by knowingly tearing down viable companies knowing that employees with be laid as well as annihilating retirement packages. But, oooh, she feels so bad about it because the big bad males made her do it to get ahead. She finally draws the line when her work boy wants to literally pimp her out to a judge which is how she ends up with the H. Their two day "ONS" was redemptive. The mighty healing P at work.

When she finally confesses her sin to the H, she cries about her wicked ways, and all is forgiven because the mean boys made her do it. Really! The H doesn't have even the teensiest qualm about what an amoral user she was. Plus I find it hard to believe that the bad guys manipulated her into coming back to work because she was really, really good at her job. That was it. Not even a decent on page confrontation with her main manipulator.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting this second book in the Southern Charmers series since reading book one, Pierced Hearts, and meeting the hero, Miller Kendrick. A hard fought-love story with a second-chance feel, Ahren Sanders blew me away with the depth of emotion and Miller’s sheer swoon-worthiness. This was an unputdownable story, the kind that kept my Kindle in my hand and me glued to it all day as I devoured every single word.

Miller and Ashlyn had an admittedly brief, but undeniably impactful history. It’s almost serendipitous that they meet again in Charleston. Miller was decisive and determined, two qualities I particularly love in alpha males, and he was an immovable force for Ashlyn to reckon with. She has moved to Charleston for a fresh start, and she is not exactly the same woman he met those months ago. What is the same, however, is the positively magnetic attraction and sizzling chemistry between them. This is a woman who has been through the wringer, though, and while she’s bound and determined to leave the woman she was back in Chicago, Miller can see the wounds and the pain lurking, and he’s unwavering in his pursuit to heal this woman and to love her.

Miller’s Time by Ahren Sanders was a heart-thumping, knee-weakening, fanning myself sexy read, and I loved every second of it. Five smooches from me!

GAH I loved this! No one writes a bossy, sassy heroine quite like Ahren does! I loved Ashlyn and Miller! The Kendrick men are my kryptonite. After reading Pierced Hearts last year, I could not wait to dive into Miller’s story. There were so many things about him I adored in that book and I immediately wanted more! He is sexy, charming and also bossy. He is pure alpha male and does not give Ashlyn a moment to consider anything else except a future with him. He works for the family’s construction business and Ashlyn is back in in town after leaving her corporate lawyer job. Little does she know she is going to run into the man she hooked up with six months prior and he will never let her out of his grasp again. There is some drama that follows her and Miller was nothing but support but with her fierce personality she can completely handle it all on her own. Ashlyn and Miller have undeniable chemistry. The moment they reconnect it is FIREWORKS. I loved all the feels this one gave me and reconnecting with Pierce, Darby, Mia and Cole was amazing. I missed them! This is an incredible read and fabulous addition to the Southern Charmers seres. I’m now dying book #3 next where we will get Evin’s story.

Miller’s Time by Ahren Sanders is the second book in her Southern Charmers series and can be read as a standalone, though I also loved the previous book in the series so far. Miller is sexy, charming and a total alpha. Ashlyn is looking for a fresh start, but never imagined she would run straight into someone from her past. When they first meet, the sparks fly, but she leaves without a trace. Now they are face-to-face again and Miller is not willing to let her go. Can she see what they can be before it’s too late? The story was sweet and charming with a little bit of angst.

Ashlynn had a successful career and was a force to be reckoned with both inside and outside the courtroom, but she has begun to realize that the cost outweighs the rewards. She has turned her back on that life and is looking for a fresh start but when it brings her back into contact with the man she spent one night with and hasn’t forgotten.

Miller has always had a way with the ladies, but no one had appealed to him more than Ashlynn, even if it was only one night and that he knew her as Lily. When fate brings them together once again Miller wants a second chance, but will her past be the one thing they can’t overcome?

Humor, heat and seeing Ashlynn’s need for independence come up against Miller’s need to protect was fun to watch.

Where do I even start??
This author sucks me into her worlds every single time and I never want to leave them. I absolutely LOVED Ashlyn and Miller!!!!! Miller made me squirm and sweat, he was such a FORCE! Ashlyn was everything I loved in a heroine. She gave me life! I just loved them together and I was on the edge of my seat alot with this book. Also can I take a second to mention the sex in this dear old novel? Hot dang. The sex scenes were LIT. PERFECTION. They felt so real, unrushed. The connection was so palpable between Miller and Ashlyn, sometimes I felt like a gawker watching something so intimate.

Miller's Time is book 2 in the Southern Charmers Series by Ahren Sanders. This is Miller and Ashlyn's story. Miller's Time can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading book 1 " Pierced Hearts" to get acquainted with this amazing series and Miller's brother Pierce and his wife Darby- and their emotional, touching love story.
In book 2, we get Miller. He's alpha, charming, sexy and confident. He is super loyal and swoon-worthy. He meets " Lily" in a bar in Chicago and they have this amazing weekend, only she disappeared. Except he meets Ashlyn shortly later...and she is exactly like what he remembers of "Lily". They are the same yet not. Ashlyn is running from her life from Chicago for a good cause. She's moving to Charleston and she didn't expect to run into her one-night/weekend stand. She is this sassy, sweet, woman whose outer shell came across at times as this witch. She was left reeling and she's trying to figure out what to do next with her life at the same time as protect her heart from this sexy hunk.
The story is one that has lots of heat, feels, heart, intrigue, drama, twists, chemistry, family, friends, suspense, humor, romance and love. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Ashlyn and Miller were perfect together. It was also great seeing Pierce and Darby together along with other characters in this series. I can't wait to read whose story is next.

Miller was just as good as his brother. What I loved about this story not only how much he loved Ashlyn, but also how much he loves and respect his sister in law Darby. She’s on a pedestal right next to Ashlyn. Him and Ashlyn met years ago on a whim and one night stand that they both never forgot. Only issue was she gave a fictitious name but surprise surprise she was Darby’s friend moving to where Darby lives now. It was funny when they rekindled and he knew this time he wasn’t letting her go. And Ashlyn fit right in because her, Darby and Stephanie have a strong sisterhood bond that they are a force to be reckoned with. As time past Ashlyn and Miller were a good laugh wrapped up with what made her leave her leave her career behind and EVERYONE was bound to help her. Once you’re part of their family they’re all in protectively. The banters between the brothers along with Evin (Darby’s twin) and Ashlyn’s brothers you’re in for a good read. Of course Darby’s mother is still hilarious and boy I can’t wait for Evin’s turn. Evin and Miller are tied for brother of the year they are both awesome to their siblings. And Pierce is just as protective of Miller too.

Bless his heart... seems he left it in a hotel room in Chicago several months ago with a mysterious woman. And that woman just strolled out of the house he is standing in front of with his brother and sister in-law.

Her name is different, something in her eyes and the manner she holds herself tells Miller that she is not the same spitfire he met. He intends to find out why. What is she doing in his town, hugging his sister in-law? Her house needs a total renovation, not his usual client, for her he is making an exception.

Ashlyn was “Lily“ when she met Miller. Using a false name she spent a life changing weekend with him. Knowing she had to get out of Chicago, she left him asleep with a goodbye note and fled the room. Now months later he is standing there, looking at her with an expression she can’t be sure of, anger, lust, distrust?
This move to SC is her fresh start, her chance to find herself again and Miller is not going to distract her.

Miller & Ashlyn combust, will they find love along the way?. 🔥🔥🔥

Her whirlwind weekend romance leads her to the realization that she must flee this dark world and rebuild herself and her life. Who knew that this decision would land her right in front of the man who inspired her decision.
Ahren Sanders certainly knows her way around an alpha male but this story includes a sexy, sassy woman who knows how to put him in his place.
Be sure to catch up on the series and read Pierced Hearts as well for a double dose of testosterone and the correct amount of estrogen to run the show.
This story is the perfect escape, an excellent read for the backyard or deck or any other vacation or staycation destination.

Miller is a sexy, successful, sometimes overbearing alpha who never had any issues with getting women in his bed, making him a playboy. That all changes when he hooks up with a woman named "Lily" and they heat it up until the weekend is over & he wakes to a note with her gone. Fast forward some time, Miller never forgot Lily, but when he sees her again, she keeps telling him she's not Lily, but Ashlyn. After that weekend, Ashlyn got the courage she needed to get a fresh start away from the life she was leading, and it just so happened that fate took over as she landed back in Miller's path. A new entertaining journey takes place with humor, super sexiness leading to extremely high heat, some angst, a witch to provide a tad of drama, and a few twists & turns to get the f-bombs dropping. Finally, there's a fantastic cast of secondaries who made the story so much better (if possible), making me very excited for the next up in this series! Miller's Time by Ahren Sanders is book two in her Southern Charmers Series and tells Miller and Ashlyn's story.
Miller's Time can easily be read as a stand-alone. For best reading experience and because there are few cross-overs, I recommend to read the books in order.
The previous book is Pierced Hearts and is Pierce and Darby's story. I loved their raw and gritty story. and I loved being re-acquainted with them in this book. They're for sure my favorite couple in this series.

Ashlyn is a 33 year old lawyer, a former high maintenance high profile woman who just moved across the country to start a new life. Means new city, new home, new job, new friends. She needs a contractor and lo and behold, the Kendrick's take over the renovation of her home.
Miller is the older brother and happily bachelor since more than 38 years. But Ashlyn, lets just say it's interesting to see what plays out between the two.
When you read book one and thought of Pierce of as alpha, think again. Miller puts the a in alpha.
I loved the storyline and I loved reading a story with characters in their thirties, they're somehow set in their ways, but on the other side they're still able to make amends and start again.
All in all, a great read, 4,5 stars.

I cannot tell you how EXCITED I was to get my hands on an ARC of this most anticipated Southern Charmers book. I absolutely fell in love with Pierce Kendrick in book #1 and I was seriously jonesin' for Miller's book--and I was NOT disappointed.

Like most of Ahren's heroes, Miller is what I call an Alpha-Beta. Alpha: obsessive, protective, possessive, sexually aggressive. Beta: completely and utterly encompassed by his woman's needs, obsessed with making sure his woman feels adored. Emotional. Willing to put his heart on his sleeve. I ADORE Ahren's heroes!

This book had humor, seriously sexy times, and an antagonist everyone will hate. We see Connie again (from book #1) and of course she is being a c*nt, but she gets gracefully eviscerated by Ashlyn, which left me howling in delight.

The heat between Miller and Ashlyn is lava-hot, the secondary characters make me grin, and reuniting with Pierce and Darby was--at times--heart-achingly beautiful. However...I felt this book was lacking the intensity of the first book. I didn't feel as though the critical moment--where their love is tested--was all that...tense. It just fell flat for me--so this book got 4.5 stars instead of 5.

Overall, I have another favorite by Ahren, and I cannot wait to read Evin, Austin, and Andrew's stories!

4.5 wonderful stars for Miller’s Time and this is a great addition to the Southern Charmers series. I just love a hot, sexy and dirty talking alpha like Miller. Miller and Ashlyn’s characters possess a lot strength and even though he’s an alpha and she’s feisty, they make it work and they bring out the best in each other. Their undeniable chemistry is on point and the hilarious and sassy banter between them definitely makes for excellent foreplay. And their sexy times are even hotter!!

Miller’s Time is an enjoyable read with a solid and consistent storyline. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Miller’s Time

Loved Pierced Hearts, and I was blown away by Miller’s Time. This series is completely blowing me away. So many twist and turns. I stayed up as late as I could trying my hardest to finish it all in one sitting. But my eyes wouldn’t let me. So I got right back up and finished it the very next morning. I don’t want to give anything away, but you do need to read this series in order! It helps quite a bit with the background story. Southern Carmers is going to charm you right out of your seat!!!!

Wow - I love Miller!!! Six months ago Lily and Miller share an amazing weekend together meeting by chance in a bar in Chicago, only for her to disappeared at the end of it. Socialite Ashlyn aka Lily needs a new life away from Chicago. Now she starting over in Charleston and who lives in that town - Miller. This alpha has met his match. These two are amazing together!!! Their chemistry will have you loving every bit of their story!

I've been so curious about Miller and I'm glad that I got to get into his mind. Miller and Ashlyn's journey made me feel so many different things throughout which I really liked!

The Alpha is strong in this one!!

Alpha man, strong woman and a relationship that comes at you at warp speed. What’s not to love?!
The phrase “when you know, you know” came to mind when I was reading this book.

Miller is a Man on a mission and knows exactly what he wants.
Ashlyn is stuck in “tradition” and is struggling with how things are going.

This is a type of second change romance. After Miller and Ashlyn’s first meeting their time together hit Ashlyn so hard she literally uprooted her life and made a major change.
Miller’s protective way tend to grate on Ashlyns nerves and she keeps seeing it as her being incompetent.

I loved how their story was brought together. How patient, loving and accepting Miller was to her. How he could take the Bitch and turn it into a positive thing. Definitely worth the read. Miller gives Pierce a run for his money. I can not wait for the rest of this series.

Hot Alpha Male! WOW!

What a great 2nd book for this series. Miller is something else! ;) This man is so bossy but how can you not love him. He knows what he wants and it’s Ashlyn. These two have so much chemistry, it’s a wonder they don’t combust LOL You get more of the characters you love from book one and I have to say this has become my new favorite series of Ahren’s. I couldn’t put it down and as always her words just pulled me in. Thank you Ahren for another fantastic story!

I love this series!!! Miller and Ashlyn being practically thrown together (or back together) by Pierce was unexpected but it gives us a great story. Ashlyn breaking away from her family and a past she doesn't like gives her a big boost even when it comes back to bite her. Miller is definitely swoony.
