More and more, I love a good series of novels, and Megs has hit the perfect note with the second book in this series, His Perfect Daddy. Main characters Rain and Gabe could not be more different, but they are also exactly what the other needs. And while the story with not totally angst-free, it's an honest kind of anguish that I felt in my heart. Through the dialogue and scene descriptions, I understood the stresses that the characters were going through, and the ultimate resolve felt very true. Reading the first book in the series, Finding His Daddy, is preferred - there is some overlap in time, but the characters develop nicely from one book to the other. I just found Megs' books in the last several months and have not been disappointed with any of them, but this series really touched me, especially seeing how the characters were able to grow and forgive each other - it gave me great hope. I will add that reading this genre of storytelling has opened me up to a more even committed belief that love is love, and everyone deserves it in their life.

In the world of D/s relationshipship, you tend to believe that the Dom has everything, including their own abilities, figured out.
But with Rain, he hadnt. We knew that Rain had been badly hurt before. Obviously this would impact on any future relationship. With Gabe being considered as some angelic beauty, any person would doubt their relationship, esp as Rain felt like he was changing so much of himself.
Gabe was a lovely and warm character, who only want someone to see the real him, not skin deep beauty.
I love the interactions with the side characters also.

Fantastic Book? Captivating and Beautiful. Rain is a dom and he didn't want another sub yet after he found his last one cheating on him. He owns the club lock and key with his friends, and he's happy just running things that is until Gabriel joins and he's beautiful like a angel, Gabe wants a Daddy which Rain isn't but he can't stay away. And Gabe liked Rain as soon as he saw him with his amber eyes and Beautiful smile. As there relationship deepens, emotions and insecurities leads to some rash decisions Loved it Brilliant Book 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

His Perfect Daddy is the second book in the Daddy-licious serie by Megs Pritchard and another amazing story. If you've read the first book you already met Gabe and Rain. They are so good together and I loved it.

2.5 stars, but I'm not rounding up. This was pretty good, but the make-up scene after all the heartbreak that Gabe went through was anticlimactic and disappointing. After all the emotions the author brought forth after Rain broke things off with Gabe via text, I was expecting a decent grovel and an emotional, sincere reunion. Instead, everything fell flat and there wasn't as much passion as I was expecting to follow such an emotional break-up. Rain was intriguing to me as a multi-dimensional character in the process of good emotional/personal development, until the make-up scene where he just turned into stale cardboard in my mind. Gabe was a total sweetie and I enjoyed him all the way through, but I am honestly so glad he got that haircut after the break-up.
I know this is a smutty book and that's what most of us are here for, but there is such a thing as too much sex in a smutty book. I skipped some of the scenes because it was just too much and it didn't feel genuine anymore. For example, if a couple just had a detailed sex scene and then they get into the bath/shower and have another detailed sex scene, that's an overload of smut and it makes me start to feel indifferent towards the couple. Sex scenes are great for surface-level smut and deeper levels of passion, but there are other ways that an author can show how close a couple is without smothering the reader with sex.
I know this is a smutty book and that's what most of us are here for, but there is such a thing as too much sex in a smutty book. First thoughts, this will be worked on until I’m happy I’ve conveyed my emotions 🤣
What the end... no that’s not possible I only just started reading right? I was absorbed! I lost sleep 🤣 I was not ready for the end!
so to be fully transparent daddy/little relationships are something I’ve previously been on the fence about. This book has changed that. I was dubious if I would fully enjoy it due to this, but I’m so very glad I took the chance. *please forgive me megs*
Gabe’s thought process really helped with this. I put myself right there with him and my gosh, my heart. My poor heart went through everything alongside his! *all of the emotions* so many emotions *i may have shed a tear or two.*
Rain, dude, This guy infuriated me!! but you know what I softened to him. in the end I was one of his cheerleaders... he overcame and grew so much it was hard not to be.
I’m not wanting to ruin the read for anyone but this book is fantastic! If you like D/L and or D/S relationships this one is sensationally written and so worth the read!

Could have been a 5
I really enjoyed this couple and the concept of the story just a few things held me back from giving it a 5.
One, editing. When you write the wrong name, it really pulls you out of the story. Insteadnof Rain doing something to Gabe, it was Gabe doing something to Gabe. Happend more then once and really messes up the flow.
Two, I felt like there was a lot of repetition in this book. Spoiler alert!!!!!!
Example: When Tristan was telling Zach how Rain broke up with Gabe over text and then 2 seconds later Zach asked Tristan what all he knew. And Tristan was like "he broke up with him over text!" Um...yeah...you just said that. There were a few other times as well. Rain and Gabe would go to do a punishment scene and Rain would tell Gabe he wasn't gonna be spanked Gabe seem surprised when Rain pulled out ropes and said something to the effect of "I never said I was gonna spank you." Um...didn't Rain just say 30 seconds earlier he wasn't gonna spank him.

🤷 The book started off with an interesting concept; a boy, Gabe, who is into binkies but also being whipped and a Dom, Rain, who is into fisting, sounding and flogging but isn't a Daddy. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver AT ALL 🥱
It seems like Rain lost most of the things he loved to do in order to be with Gabe, while Gabe went on exploring what he wanted with Rain. It was very one-sided in my opinion 😞 And quite honestly, it was a let down, considering the kinky scenes I expected when I read the first chapters of this book.
We see the MCs trying to work out the kinks in their relationship for most of the book; at first Rain refuses to admit that he wants Gabe and to try being with him, then later changes his mind. They have scenes together and Gabe spends time in Rain's house, but we don't see ANYTHING hardcore 😕 Gabe witnesses a whipping scene in the bdsm club and suddenly decides he's against it, and even though he says that he's willing to try sounding and fisting, we never see any of those taking place in the story 🤨

Slow Burn
Loved this 2nd book in the Daddy-licious series. This was a slow burn kinky bdsm story about a virgin little , Gabe, and Rain, a part owner of a bdsm club with his best friends. Rain is still recovering from his ex cheating on him with a third they invited to play with them but one look at Gabe and Rain was fighting his feelings, not wanting to get hurt again. He felt he was a true Dom and didn't believe he could be the Daddy Dom Gabe needed. Gabe turned out to be more than just a little . He enjoyed some of the kinkier bdsm aspects like being tied up and spankings and was curious to try sounding. It took a long time and stubbornness on Rain's part for them to get to their HEA but it was worth it. This had an epilogue which is something I need to wrap up the book. There are so many side characters whose stories need to be told, especially Jagger's and there are at least two more books coming according to the author. I highly recommend this series.

This was such an anticipated read for me. The author really led the reigns in book 1 when it came to this couple's following story. Gabe, the fallen angel... and Rain, the devils spawn: Somehow it works between these two, and lord help me, it was slow going but definitely WORTH IT when things finally heat up. The sex scenes are amazing and your heartstrings will be pulled. enjoy and move on to book 3! LOL

I have loved getting to know the men and boys at Lock and Key. I am so happy to see the strong loving relationships that have come and are already established. I hope we get Jagger, Lorenzo, and Simon’s stories. Plus some others. I want to see this series go for a while. It shows that every relationship is different even when the kinks are the same or similar. That I think is what I love best.

This book has the heat, the chemistry and the right level of angst. Gabe knows what he wants, and a part of that is to be seen for who is actually is, not just his looks. Rain has had his heart broken and isn’t sure he’ll ever love again. These characters pack on the emotions and will draw you into this book. I’m loving this series so much.

Boy Gabe sure did messed with Master Rain head. This book was so exciting to read. I just couldn't wait to see Master Rain turn into the Daddy that Gabe needed. This is a brilliant slow burn romance and I liked that while Rain is an experienced Dom he has a learning curve as well as Gabe who is new to scene, as they forge their relationship the way they want it.

Can I just say that I absolutely love this story! I love Rain and Gabe so much! They have amazing chemistry and the emotions in this story I just wanted these two to be happy. Megs Pritchard has made another story that I fell in love with. I can't wait for the next one.

Loved the story. It developed well and I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to the next installment. I like the other characters showing up, like old friends.
