Celestial Academy: The Complete Series omnibus is all three books in the Celestial Academy trilogy.
Book 1: Ascend
My friends always complained about their parents' rules and consequences. Well, I have them beat. I'm the daughter of the devil and was just expelled from my senior year of high school for breaking a guy's nose.
Did Lucifer torture my soul?
Did he condemn me to the fiery pits of Hell?
None of the above.
He sent me to Celestial Academy, where college-aged angels go to learn to be guardians. The only problem is I don't have wings, and I'm certainly no saint.
Being Lucifer's daughter in a school full of angels is no walk in the park. I'd much rather be tortured in Hell. That is until I meet three men that make me feel like anything is possible. Why choose when I can have them all?
Book 2: Descend
I'm meant to save the light from the dark with my four guardians. Whatever that means.
The problem is, I'm a mess. Weeks have passed since my world tilted on its axis. Tobias, Asher, and Oliver may have put my shattered heart back together again, but something once broken is never quite the same. Every time I shut my eyes I find myself stuck in an endless loop of fear and worry.
And then Reve appears. He waltzed his way into my dreams and swept me off my feet. Will the three angels in my life accept a demon?
Will they accept me?
I was just starting to figure out who I was... until I discovered my mother was a fraud.
Now, I don't even know who I am anymore.
Book 3: Transcend
School is back in session and we are no closer to getting my dad back. To make matters worse demons have been getting through to Earth at an alarming rate. Hell on Earth is coming, unless I can stop it.
In order to save everyone and everything I love, I have to face my fears. With the help of Tobias, Asher, Oliver, and Reve, I know I can do anything. Even if that means going to a place that sends shivers down my spine.
Inferna isn't for the faint of heart. It's called hell for a reason.
Not everyone will survive.
Will I?
Ascend, Descend, and Transcend are fast burn reverse harem full-length novels written with multiple POVs. They contain M/M scenes, light academy bullying, and a teacher/student romance.
Series was alright, wasn’t enough smut for me but I like a lot. Story was kinda of predictable. Overall it was a decent read. 3 stars for story. 2🌶 for spice
This series was fantastic! I cant believe the cliffhanger after book 1, it blew my breathe away. I love the dynamics of Dani and the guys I really the way Maya Nicole introduced the guys into the story and not just threw them in. The relationship between all of them were a little different from what I've read before but I loved it. There's plenty of twist, turns, heartbreak and discovery. I would like a novella for Lucifer after the series if there's not one already.
This book is good if you want a fast read, no depth in your characters, and no details about the situation.
Also, this heroine sucked. I immensely disliked her. She was a bumbling idiot who just screwed things up and made things worse. No depth. Basically, you spend the book wondering if there is a redemption arc or if she develops any skills, she doesn’t.
I do not recommend this trilogy. It’s a quick read and you don’t have to pay attention to it. If you like RH, I recommend Kings of Quarantine or Dark Fae. Better characters, more depth, better writing.
Good series with the Academy trope with a bit of twist since Danica is a hybrid. Really enjoyed the first two books but the wrap up in book 3 just started to drag for me. Bullring was fairly light and typical mean girl stuff. The guys didn’t evolve very much over the course of the book and quite a bit of people going off to save the world solo.
That final and last part just melted me like a puddle of goo!! Just the sweetest and funniest way this story could have ended. I’m going to miss Danica and the guys.
Okay, so I found a rec for this series way down deep in a reverse harem fb group I’m in and I wanted to read it because it’s not super popular or overhyped and the storyline sounded good. I’ve been reading soooo many contemporary reverse harems and wanted something more fantasy based.
Okay, so the good stuff- I freaking loved this book, y’all!
Danica is the FMC. She is the daughter of Lucifer, so she’s half human/half angel. She’s a little wild, a lotta sassy, and funny. She gets into some trouble at her normal high school and is sent to Celestial Academy for angels. The fact that she doesn’t have wings, and Lucifer being her dad doesn’t really set her up for success here, either.
Think of JLAs white hot kiss series but make it reverse harem. And then throw in some of the sweetest, hottest MM scenes I’ve read in a book, to date. (I’m reviewing the series as a whole here, because that’s how I read it in kindle….I accidentally bought the complete series as one book, so I’m struggling to remember which book had what) but anywayssss MM, yessss. I can’t remember how much was actually in the first book- it’s a slow build up but worked sooooo well.
Even the reverse harem aspect of the book was unique. It starts out in an academy type setting, and we’re introduced to the “divine 7” and I’m like okay- typical bullies, hot alpha assholes…..insert harem here. But noooo, that’s not what Maya Nicole did.
Instead, the harem is like a rag tag group. They don’t really have any sort of relationships or friendships with each other beforehand. They aren’t all students (😉😉) and the harem builds over the course of the series.
There was action, angels, demons, 🔥🔥. I mean…..I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Danica is the FMC, she is the daughter of THE LUCIFER and a human. Shes a bit wild and gets thrown out of school to then be sent to Celestial Academy for angels. Not having wings really gave everyone something to talk about. She quickly became attached to 3 MMC in a way that shocks your imagination (No slow burn here) There was definitely a few twists some made me cry and a cliff hanger ending but luckily I didnt have to wait for book 2
Book 2 DESCEND
God if you think Ascend gives you all the emotions your in for a shocker. I really enjoyed watching characters evolve, find themselves and new relationships within the dynamic. Does 3 now become 4? Learning more about Danicas past and the potential person she was to become. I dont want to give too much away because where's the fun in that.
Erm that cliff hanger was brutal 😳
Book 3 TRANSCEND
What a great final piece to this series filled with emotion. We see lots of action in this part and I loved every minute of it, unable to put it down. Finally going to hell but was it really what we all imagined it would be? Who doesnt love a happy ending after all? The last scene... chefs kiss 💋 had me blubbering get the tissues ready guys.
Overview
The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know more. I flew through emotions which is all you want from a book. From spicy scenes to laughing your head off. You really get to feel all the characters and their personalities. A great series to read and im heading off to now read lucifers story. eeeek!!!
Celestial Academy is an omnibus of the Celestial Academy series books, Ascend, Descend, and Transcend.
Book 1: Ascend This was a great series starter! I really enjoyed all the characters and the twists that are thrown at you during the book. This is a fast burn, which is always great when I typically read slow burns. The book is fast paced and action packed.
I was not expecting the ending and I may have cried a bit, but then it gets better. The twist/cliffhanger at the end was shocking and now my brain is in overdrive with theories.
Book 2: Descend This series keeps getting better and better! I loved the connections that Danica has with Asher, Olly, Tobias and now Reve. I love that the book is fast paced.
I was shocked by the last bit of book two. I have been glued to this series since I've started it and cannot wait to see how it ends!
Book 3: Transcend I have laughed and cried and loved every minute of this book. There is a lot happening during the last installment, and it is up to Danica to save the world. We get to know more about each of the guys in this book and each of them complete Danica in some way. The steamy bits have stepped up a notch and I was definitely ready for that MM action.
Overall this series is amazing! I loved all the characters and I am excited to read the other books in this world.
Book one was decent. It was filled with a lot of ridiculousness but it made me chuckle and it was entertaining. Book two was a bit less entertaining. The plot started to drag a bit the only thing that felt really genuine to me was the relationship between Asher and Olly. Book three… everything kind of just fell apart for me with this one. I think this story would have fit into a duet instead of three books. There was a lot of filler and I got that impatient “come on get to the point” feeling. The guys pissed me off and Dani never actually stood her ground and set boundaries with them which was frustrating. I get that she’s young and new to relationships and all but for the men to be grown (all for Olly of course) and not hear her when she’s screaming about something she wants or doesn’t want is irritating. The ending was also extremely disappointing. Liliths demise was so built up that you expect some epic battle or a gratifying sneak attack but nope. Then a few quick POVs from the guys and they get a HEA. It just took it down a lot to me. A few plot holes were left too and I hate that it leaves the series feeling unfinished. I haven’t looked so there may be spin offs from this universe but after finishing this one I’m just not interested in hearing the other stories. I wish the flow from the first book had spread throughout.

Danica knew she wasn't just your average teenager. How could she be when her father was Lucifer? She didn't ever really fit in and had trouble with school. She also got INTO trouble at school. That's how she ended up getting expelled from high school and sent to Celestial Academy - a school for training guardian angels. That seemed pointless when she was neither a full angel nor had wings, but she didn't have any other choice.
From day one, she was bullied and glared upon by other students, though she was able to make a few friends. She also had a connection with her demonology teacher, Tobias, which turned into something more. She began to feel connections to a couple of others as well - a student and a fallen angel.
While at the academy, angels started going missing and getting abducted. Eventually, they find out who and why, but that just opened up a whole other can of worms.
This is a romance academy series that consists of the female lead discovering who she is, finding her place, and self-discovery of not just herself but for her mates as well.
I do wish that, at the end, it showed how she was doing at the academy again and / or the reactions of her other former bullies.
There's no bullying from her mates (except for one of them, but it's not severe from him personally). There's no OW drama or break-ups.
I really did enjoy these books! I mean, I love the whole angels and demons...add the element of why choose.....with MM and I'm sold. The storyline totally sucked me in, a fact made better by the fact that it was well written and executed to a high standard. I actually really enjoyed that the Lucifer depicted here wasn't hated by everyone (especially the angels), which was refreshing. I absolutely adored all of the main characters, who were developed amazingly. You get a good feel for each of their personalities, and im including the side characters in this, too. Even though I loved them all, I found myself having a soft spot for Asher and Oliver...Olly made me giggle a lot! The way in which the relationships between Danica and the MMCs (aside from the instalust/love) was something else done well. You went on the journey with all of them and got a great feel of the love and support there. This pertains to Asher and Olly's relationship too, as well as the friendships between the men. Another relationship development that was notable was that between Danica and Lucifer...it was so heartwarming seeing father and daughter get a lot closer. The world building was another aspect that was well executed. Each of the worlds you visit throughout the story and the descriptions of the demons that were encountered was exceptional! Spice came pretty early on in the first book - no disappointment or complaint from me there 🤭. I would have liked to see more detailed group scenes, but that might just be the smut princess in me 🤷♀️😁. I also wanted some more between Danica, Asher, and Olly once the laters relationship became official. My only real disappointment was the ending. To me, it just fell a little flat - after all the action and angst, it came across as a little meh. In saying this, absolutely nothing was taken away from the rest of the story or the quality of these books. Overall, it's a very good read and one I'm glad that I got round to after it being on my TBR for a while. Would recommend.
Wow, this one really had me in two minds. I've never read a book where one person has so many partners. It was certainly different than what I'm used to.
Did I love it? No, not really but I think that's because it was mostly based on her relationships. Not surprising considering she was sleeping with an archangel, turned angel, fallen angel and a demon. However, the spice level was low so not really uncomfortable for those who are not too keen on it.
What i did love has to be Lucfier, his character was suprising, he has never been portrayed in that likeness in any other book I've read with him in it and i would have loved to read more! It has a great plot line and although it was easy to guess who the mystery woman was, it had some great potential and was overall an enjoyable read.
Personally, I think with it mostly focusing on a harem, it could have had a little more spice (I think I expected more anyway). If this had a little more world building and more action, certainly with the battle in hell, this would have the potential of a 5 star read.
I think I'll have to try out Lucifer's story. He was certainly different and the first time ever, I want him to have his own happily ever after.
My second read of this series and I think i like it more this time around. Not sure why! 🤷🏻♀️who cares Anyhoo here’s the breakdown.
RH (meaning our fmc has lots of boy toys)
🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Spice is niceeeeeeee MM too 🔥🔥 MMFMM or something like that. Not all thr guys are into that. Just two. And they are adorbs.
Lots of depth to the male characters. Loved them all but Reve was my fave. But again, they are ALL my book boyfriends so back off bishes. 😤
Love the fmc. She has a big growth arc and grows up quite a bit.
I also liked that while this says academy it doesn’t take place there all the time. The story grows beyond that which I appreciate.
I forgot the fmc was even 18 tbh. It just didn’t feel pushed in my face. So her age didn’t bother me. Esp as she matured.
Tbh this was a fun story to read. RH writing is a delicate balance and Maya always nails it for those of us that want fantasy but also romance and smexy times. TY Maya!

Something was missing, I feel like the story after the first book was dragging. Not much happened until the end. I mean there was a time during summer that just ‘passed on’ without anything happening. Shouldn’t this time be spent on training or something if you know that there is danger in the future? I felt like the characters weren’t doing anything to help get rid of the evil. What was the point of Asher and Olly in the final fight? I mean if the person I loved the most was in danger I wouldn’t just take off or allow someone to take me away from her. Especially if their roles were to protect the one they loved. They Didn’t do anything to protect her. Neither the other two, they were just there. I also didn’t really feel like Danica was connected to the guys, maybe Reve a little. There was more connection between Olly and Asher, compared to anyone else. A bit disappointed
I loved the idea of angels, Lucifer and Fallen. I loved all the guys and the Heaven vs Hell story. I loved Olly and Asher’s story. I actually loved Reve too. Tobias was ok.
I did not like Danica. I read hundreds of books and this is the very first book I’ve EVER read where the FMC gets worse throughout the series. She started out as a bad ass, took no shits and kicked ass. By the epilogue, all she did was fucking cry, too stubborn and put herself in idiotic situations. By the 3rd book I really hated her. Spoiled & selfish twat. I don’t know how the guys put up with her BS- especially Asher. I honestly struggled to finish the series due to her and I always finish a book.
This has a different writing style than the other series I’ve read from Maya. Parts of it seem like maybe she wrote these when she was still elearning and growing. Some of the first two books have a more amateur feel to them but it gets better as the series goes on. This has a well developed storyline with relatable characters. I will say for this being written from mostly a teenage girls’s perspective, the wording doesn’t sound like a teenager is talking. Referring to her panties or lingerie as “undergarments” isn’t something a teenager would say. Although her behaviors sound very childish at times, her quotes don’t.
This is a 3-in-1 book encompassing the story of Danica.
The world building is incredible, the lore is mindbogglingly excellent, and the pacing is top notch!
I adored following Danica (and the occasional POV of the men) in her journey through this story.
The twists and turns were brilliant and kept me on my toes throughout.
⭐ - 5/5 - epic world build 🌶️ - 5/5 - incredible exploration of a RH Why-Choose (there was a healthy mixture of straight to it, and tension/yearning) ❤️ - 5/5 - the growth within the unit, the solidarity at the end! Beautiful.
I skimmed to the end because I couldn’t do it- that was hell to get through. Literally hated Danica, you’re telling me girl is half angel and demon and is useless throughout the book???
The only people who had character development was Olly and Asher. I continued for them.
I’m all here for a steamy book but what an over kill- yea no. Should’ve focused more on the plot, backstories, characters warrior developments instead of the sex scenes.
Some of this kind of read like a wattpad story. The relationships between the fmc and 4 MMCs seemed superficial. They thought she was hot and were in love with her seemingly after 5 minutes.
*Spoilers ahead*
2 of the MMCs seemed like they were kind of settling for Danica, the fmc, while they mourned their wives from their human lives even though it was decades and decades ago. Reve may be a demon, but I believed his affection more than the others'.
This series was a great read, lots of trials, love, hate and even friends. There is amazing world building and it is fantastic to see the character growth both within herself and with in her relationships and with the other characters to. I love Ollie's innocence and how it makes the others laugh at times but also how they show him the best way to do things.
3.5/5⭐️ series review. A decent series. Not bad. Not amazing. A bit predictable troupe. The FMC is destined to be the one who “saves” everyone. She doesn’t develop any powers. The “final showdown” two of the MMC aren’t even there. The FMC is only 18. I think it would have been better if she was slightly older since some of the guys were very old in “angel” years. The FMC was very dumb at times.

Fun and captivating, I liked this series. The characters are all interesting. Danika and her men have all at some point trauma to heal but they ended up fitting perfectly with each other. There are spicy scenes too because all good reverse harem stories needs spicy scenes!
Interesting take on the whole heaven and hell, angels and demons. I liked how Lucifer was portrayed in this series. He isn't the villain like he is normally portrayed. Danica and her guys are fun to read about. I liked the extra novella at the end of this series.
I fell in love with the mix of characters. However at times the story seemed a little rushed. But overall it was an enjoyable read. The reverse harem was on the tame side and the M/M part of the relationship was sweet.
