Spawn of Darkness #4

A Woman's Worth

Rate this book
Damaged. Defiled. Determined.

This isn’t the first time Dell’s crawled out of a nightmare—though she’s not the same woman who once stood on the edge of a cliff, ready to throw it all away.

Armed with a power she has no idea how to control, Dell’s desperate to find a way back to her Sun Gods. But something else is hunting the four possessive Fae who fought their way into her fractured heart ...

A monster is lurking—a beast far more ruthless than the one stalking beneath her own skin—and one wrong move could cost Dell everything she never knew she wanted.

The darkness is a greedy thing, and this has never been a fairytale ...

Some monsters belong in the shadows.
Some monsters belong in the light.
Dell thought she had it all figured out ...
She was wrong.

Hold onto your heartstrings for this epic-sized conclusion to Dell’s story. It features a strong—albeit mentally shattered—female lead, and four High Fae Gods who will do everything in their power to protect her.
This story, unlike the first three, is written in mixed POV.
It contains sensitive and taboo subjects, explicit sexual content, offensive language, violence, and other content which some readers will find triggering. Intended for a mature audience aged eighteen years and over.

This book...THIS BOOK!

I am still trying to find words to accurately describe this beautiful and heartbreaking story. This book tore me to absolute pieces and then put me back together in a way that I wasn’t before!

You can tell the amount of time Sarah put into this masterpiece, this absolute work of art! You can quite literally feel her blood, sweat, tears, pain, and love throughout every single chapter! It’s as if she put a piece of herself onto every page, forever changed. At one point I was ugly crying (you know, hiccuping and sobbing) because I felt as if I was experiencing what was happening. Sarah has this amazing ability to draw you so deep into her stories with these beautiful words, that you find yourself fully immersed and experiencing things firsthand. It really played up on my daddy issues! Lol.

There is not one negative thing that comes to mind regarding this book, it’s beautifully heartbreaking. And you learn to appreciate the heartbreak throughout this story because without the pain, you don’t appreciate the sunshine nearly as much. Every single character flowed gorgeously throughout this story, and I loved all of them. I am really hoping a certain character has their own book soon!

If you haven’t read this yet, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Be ready for it to change your life, you will come out the other side with a greater understanding and appreciation for trauma and pain, because what’s on the other side of that makes it all worth it. I feel like I know myself and Sarah better after reading this.

10/10 would recommend!

A heart wrenching finale to Dell's story.

I have struggled to grasp my feelings and put them into words for A Women's Worth and so I decided to take my time with this one.
It's been 3 weeks since I read the last words that Sarah wrote for Dell and I'm still reeling but here goes.

When I first read A Tokens Worth, I was shocked, intrigued, crying from laughing and emotional turmoil and in awe of Sarah's writing.

After reading the finale to SoD, I can only say that Sarah has grown ten-fold as an author but also as a women herself. I got the huge honour of going along for the journey with her and to see how Sarah has evolved was nothing short of inspiring.

Okay now to Dell and AWW!

When I was reading the finale, it felt a bit like Sarah started with a slow boil so I didn't know anything was a miss and by the time the pot was boiling I was already in it and not getting out.

The strife, grief, emotional angst and all round fudgery that Dell is put through would make any women want to quit it but she perseverse and constantly goes within to her inner strength to pull herself out of the mud.

I have never gone from laughing at one page, to sobbing at the next but Sarah has manage another feat with this. I had tissues, popcorn, chocolate and tea on a constant standby through this entire book and I needed all of them lol!

I love that we get to see Dell's relationship with the Sun Gods expand, get more personal and intimate and we finally see Dell with a certain somebody 🤤

I can't rave enough about Sol and Drake to put into words how I feel about them. I love them.
In AWW however, my heart and other things were fluttering and opening up to Kal and Aero as well 😍

The world of Dell is such a vast place that has so much detail crafted into it that I will be sad to see it go but I know down the track we will get Cassian's story (praising Sarah already for that one) and the origins.

The conclusion of this baby was everything I could have asked for and so much more. Sarah, you have done us all so flipping proud.

Thank you for sharing a piece of your soul with us. Your beautiful words will be truly treasured!

Oh. My. Sun gods.....

SA Parker has done it! She's written the perfect, incredible, heart wrenching, and very emotional ending to her Spawn of Darkness series. I honestly feel like she should include a small box of tissues with her signed paperbacks, because (wo)mannnn are you in for an emotional roller-coaster read.

True to all the other books there's a lot of hilarious jokes, puns, as well as a lot of sexy times. While all that was great, it's not the icing for me. I cannot imagine how SA Parker has managed to dig so deep, and nail the tough shit. But nailed it she did!

I can't wait to read more from this incredibly talented author!

whoo finally, this was one of the most anticipated reads this year and i for sure didn´t get disappointed. I loooved all the feels in this, their intern struggle. I would have loved to get more glimpse of their future with the big happy fam ;) I just thought about Willas guys from curse of the gods, when we got to read from Dells guys. They kind of reminded me a lil about Rome and the others

I have cried in a book in a very long time. Or even laughed AND cried in the same book in a while. This book had me feeling a rollercoaster of emotions in the best way possible. Dell is seriously one of THE strongest FMC i have ever read about in a book. She has been through so much that not many people would be able to come back from but she does time and time again. I love how funny she is and how loyal she is to people who cares about. I’m sad that this story has ended but loved the journey.

Alright..... so, heads up, this series is BRUTAL! Take that warning with all seriousness and pay the heck attention to the trigger warnings if you need them. That said, it’s actually a pretty great series when the final page is turned. It ends with a HEA that felt hard earned, but well earned. I still didn’t grasp a full feeling of the guys, aside from Sol, but it’s really Dell’s tale, and it ends as such. Her life. Her pain. Her love. This is about HER... and I think that’s what makes it hold together. I could have done without some scenes, along with the incessant internal conversations without her lady bits.... but even that started to pale as the drama built up. I’ll be honest, this book made me cry - and it is easily 3 times the length of book 1.

Wow. . . where to start? There are so many heart-wrenching moments and quotes that I can't even begin to add them here. This beast of a book--150k+ words--has slain me. SA has created a masterpiece of emotion and world-building. The visuals that she creates with her words are chilling. I literally got goosebumps in a few scenes between Dell and her sun gods. The depth of emotion is what gets me--Dell is this perfect epitome of resilience and is a reminder to all of us to keep going, no matter what. That we have monsters (or a beast, haha) inside of us, but they do not define us. It's how we use that inner darkness and Dell uses it to better herself and her world. She has a big nature vs nurture conundrum, but resolves it. She is not her father because she has the choice not to be like him. Her sun gods remind her of this. Just as she redeems them, they redeem her. This book is dark and not for the faint of heart. SA clearly poured her freaking soul into the descriptions--you feel it, not just read it. But, there is also Dell's dry, self-deprecating humor that tempers the darkness. It's the perfect ending--although not how you might expect. And dare I hope for some spin-offs from that ending, haha?! Long review short: READ THIS NOW!

I just read an ARC of this book and wow.....I am done and I don’t even know what to do with myself. Talk about an epic book hangover. This author is so talented at writing a really good story. The plot, the dialogue, the character interactions.....everything just hits you right in the feels. I literally cried in this book, I laughed, I was mad. The conclusion to Dell’s story is just epic. It’s not what you thought was gonna happen, and it’s not at times what you even want to happen, and then it all came together in the end. The last few chapters gave this delicious conclusion and insight into the aftermath. I am also currently freaking about Cassian. Which admittedly is a character we basically know nothing about in other books, and then WHAM! Now we give all the F’s, and I want to know more. I can’t wait for the next series in this world. It’s so engaging and empowering. Great read, all the yelp stars, Amazon stars, good read stars. You need this in your life.

Amazing, incredible, epic, a masterpiece; are all too mundane to describe what S.A. has written. There are literally no words to fully convey the depth and the heart and soul that she has put into the end of Dell’s story. It is dirty, dark, violent, and yet full of humour, acceptance, and love. And of course incredibly hot Sun Gods and equally hot sex!! This is an emotional roller coaster that will have you laughing one moment and crying the next, no seriously!! Your heart and soul will fracture and break but will be stitched back together with pure sunlight.

Dell's life has been hell and she has repeatedly been broken, and yet she is strong, selfless, and full of love. What a way to finish Dell’s story! A definite must-read! Just remember to have your cockies and tissues handy.

There are so many books to read and there are many that leave you disappointed when you read that last book I’m a series you become so invested in. Well this so not the case in Spawn of Darkness series, book four will make you fall in love with all the characters, even the ones you hated! It will take all the different emotions you could ever feel and make you experience them all in just one chapter, then destroy you over and over again. While reading Dell’s story you will love her more and feel the pain, sadness, love and joy she feels while understanding why she makes the hard choices.
This book gutted me and I cried while wanting to throw my kindle at this amazing author but in the end I just wanted to hold S.A Parker because you know she poured her soul into this book and it must have gutted her too.
The ending was one where you feel you complete as a reader and it’s the way a series should be given. As a reader you will know that this book was not rushed nor was any character jipped.
Sol may not have been other people’s favorite but I claimed him in the beginning and I still claim him after it all. You will enjoy and appreciate the relationship that those four Sun gods have with each other as well as with Dell. Dell’s beast will show just how savage she is and Dell will realize her worth.❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍

What an epic conclusion to Dell’s story.

First off this is a long book. I think about twice the length of each of the previous 3 books in the series. And I can honestly say each book was better than the previous one.

Dells’ journey was so full of love and loss, and the story written with so much emotion I had tears in my eyes for all she went through to become who she needed to be for the world.

And her sun gods - these are the ultimate hot alpha males. Wanting to protect the woman they love but also seeing and accepting (sometimes grudgingly) that she needed to do things her way.

Perfect amount of spice for the story as well.

If you enjoy reverse harem or not I highly advise you to read this series. Ultimately it is all about love and S.A. Parker had done it brilliantly.

What a series! There were many ups and downs in this series but this final book settled everything. Dell saving the day was everything that I want it. Usually is the hero’s but she wasn’t having any of that lol. I do wish that we could’ve seen some of the changes they made to the world but all in all the story came to a satisfying resolution. It’s been a crazy journey but I’m glad dell had got some piece.

Wow...I've been waiting a year for the finale of Dell and the Sun Gods' story, and it was worth every minute. It's long and girthy, just how Dell likes 'em (lol), and I could tell from the beginning it would be a wild ride. The irreverent humor and hair raising situations pop up again, and had me tense for a good amount of time, but I had faith in a HEA after everything they went through. Also, I never minded the single/limited POV before, but I really liked the POV jumping around to see inside the guys' heads this time around. I love them all, and miss them already. YOU won't be disappointed!

Oh goodness, what a roller coaster. I laughed and cried and laughed and cried and stop reading cause my heart hurt and then finally finished.

This book made you feel. It completed Dell and the Sun God's story in a beautiful way. We see broken people and how some of them make it to the light and how some let the darkness ride them, but you see people be redeemed as well. This was a great book to close out the set.

Also, I love Sap. I cried more about that than anything haha.

I HOPE there is a spin off with Cass. Great job Sarah!

This book... This soul shattering heart stopping God damn book!! I feel like this book broke every part of me and put my parts back differently.. I feel altered in away I havent been before..like ive had my soul set alight and burnt to a crisp at the same time.. im left feeling ..just raw..

This ending to dells story could not of had a more devastatingly perfect ending .. dell evolved in the dark into something dangerous yet beautiful and I think Sarah captured this image for me by writing
"We are not defined by the monster that haunt us but by the way we rise from the ashes."
This resonates through this entire story.

As dell and her sun gods characters evolved so did this story into something much bigger both dark and light webbed together to create the perfect storm of balance.

So what is a woman's worth?

"A woman's worth is not defined by what she can give you. Its defined by the way she makes you feel"..

You will emotionally choke on the memory of this book as it stains your soul so be warned have tissues at hand..

But I feel like where one story ends another is just beginning.?

I laughed, I cried, I freaking bawled like a baby, I fell in love and I lost. I couldn’t have imagined a better ending to this series! I’m truly speechless with how much I loved this book series, it’s a series I have frequently reflected on the last year or more since it started. It’s a series I regularly pass out recommendations on (as long as your not offended by the language within) and it’s one I will continue to recommend. This book in particular showed so much growth for all of the characters, it put light on persons with questionable doings, it created mystery and awe others. It was an epic tale with love, growth, loss, rebirth, birth, anger, sadness, frustration and finally truths. It was perfect!

Emotional but amazing series!

I loved this book series and I am devastated it has come to an end! Dell is hilarious, her inner comments to herself make me laugh out loud and then you discover her heartbreaking past; and how strong she really is.
This book had me feeling a little bit of everything; shocked, angry, happy, distraught, all of the seven dwarves. Dell is by far one of my favourite protagonists and the plot took me by surprise many times and made me feel sorry for a certain character that I thought could have no redemption.
I would definitely recommend this series but it contains sensitive material that may not make it the right series for everyone.

S.A. Parker has absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one! An emotional roller coaster in every page laced with iconic Dell humour that will have you snorting with laughter as you cry.

You can tell the author has poured her heart and soul into every part of this final book and topped it off with a finesse usually only found by seasoned top tier authors!

Closing the world of Dell and her Sun-Gods is a hard task to achieve but not only has A Woman’s Worth finished on such a fantastic ending it’s left me with the urge to reread it again and again.

So I pre-ordered this months ago and I am so glad that I did. I have been waiting for this book for about 6 months after I flew through the precious books. This one is sooooo much better than the previous books and those were amazing. Dell is such a fighter and all of the characters in these novels are so dynamic and well thought out and so... real. I know sometimes series fizzle out but this is NOT the case. This series just got better.

PERFECTION

Where do I even begin. Thank you Ms. Parker for writing such an A-mazing book! This journey was sad, exciting, funny, heartbreaking and relieving. I think I felt every single emotion possible while reading the end of Dell and her sun gods' journey. BEAUTIFULLY written. I don't think it's even possible to find a flaw in A Woman's Worth. It was truly heart felt to watch Dell grow and overcome the hell of her life. AND she is one bad ass B! As far as her sun gods, well....I would take them all for myself!

Amazing ending to such a good series

This is the last book of the series and it honestly topped the rest. I laughed out loud, I ugly cried, and I felt everything in between while reading this book. Dell is such a strong woman and even though she has been broken by the world, she rises. The depth of feeling that is written into this book is astounding. It was very much worth the wait.

A woman's worth was an epic and such a huge emotional rollercoaster of a book. It starts where book three ended and will have you laughing, crying, raging and smiling constantly through the read. Sarah has created a magnificent book that has lots of darkness that's addictive and unforgettable. Dell and her sun gods are some of the best characters I've ever read. There's so much happening in this book that it's non-stop amazement at the writing and plot. It was the perfect ending to the series and I have to say, Sarah has created something so raw, enchanting and playful that you'll want to reread over and over! Loved everything about it and would recommend to everyone over and over. Beautiful in every way!

Beautifully broken

Every now and again you find a series that is far more than just something fun to read, a book that makes you truly feel. This series hooks you in, grabs hold of your heart and takes your soul on a roller-coaster. Whilst it's not for the faint-hearted, I believe it is a masterpiece with incredible depth despite the taboo. Broken characters working to overcome adversity despite extremely triggering circumstances. I feel like even I was broke along the way but also put slowly back together in the end. I highly recommend this series!

Good lord, what a ride! I have laughed and cried and felt like my heart was cracking in two, while simultaneously feeling so overwhelmed that I almost cried again. What a phenomenonal way to end such an amazing series. I am going to be rereading this so many times this month, because this has crushed and repaired my heart in the same book.

Bravo Sarah, bravo 🙏
