Nicole has been looking forward to a trip to Hawaii with her big brother Alex only when she steps off the plane she receives a text tellin her that he won’t be coming. She makes her way to where they are staying and after five years of not seeing her life long crush she is shocked to see Nash. But what concerns her more is if she can keep her hands off him. I love stories that take place in Hawaii and Nash and Nicole's romance wasn't an exception! I really enjoyed reading this one. It was short, sweet and steamy! Just perfect!

Let me start by saying there are undoubtedly going to be a lot of people who enjoy this book. It is well written, the characters are well presented and the Hawaiian location was nice, it just wasn't to my taste.
Quite frankly, Nash was just too caveman-y possessive and "Oh yeah, she wants this!" arrogant and Nicole was just too thirsty for an innocent for me to enjoy it. I found the sweetest, most romantic part to be in the epilogues which was a case of too little, too late to save the story for me.
If you like ultra-possessive male, high heat from the get-go you'll likely enjoy this story.
Note: Available on KU at time of posting. I would likely try reading something else by this author given the high quality of the actual writing as perhaps it was just this plot I didn't like.

A tropical vacation in Hawaii turns into her forever
Her Brother's Best Friend is the first book in the Protecting Her Heart series and is the story of Nash Winston and Nicole West. Nicole is twenty-three years old and has flown to Hawaii to have Spring Break with her older brother Alex as his treat. What she was not expecting was for her Alex's best friend, Nash, to be there. Nash moved to Hawaii to pursue his love of surfing five years ago. Since then the thirty-five year old has won all sorts of championships both in Hawaii and around the world. So much so that he now has a lovely home right on the water with a private beach. Nash was expecting Alex to show up for a week of vacation but he was not expecting Nicole to be there. And especially the now grown up and very womanly Nicole who he already was attracted to the last time he saw her when she was eighteen and entering college. When Alex begs off the vacation because of having to meet with a client that leaves Nash and Nic all by themselves, with the hot sun, warm sand, cooling ocean, tropical breeze and a whole lot of sizzling hot attraction between them. Nicole agreed to spend Spring Break with her brother at his best friend's place in Hawaii. However, once she was on the way, her brother called to cancel. Alone with her big brother's best friend whom she has been crazy about for ever. How is she going to make it through the week? Can the two fight their mutual attraction or will they take a chance on a forbidden love?
Regina Wade writes a great story with awesome characters. They are relatable and Wade is able to get across the characters emotions making the reader feel right along with them! This story is very well written, makes you feel like you're on the beach in Hawaii with Nash and Nicole. I can't really say that this is an instalove book, though the feeling is very similar. I loved how Nash and Nicole have known each other forever, have a huge history long before they every get together romantically. Fate steps in, keeping Nicole's brother/Nash's best friend away, allowing Nicole and Nash to realize that this is their time. Once they do, it is full speed ahead! I love how they have no doubts about their relationship, their future, and allow no one to stand in their way. Fun and fast, this is a wonderful book for a break from reality. I'm very much hoping we'll see Nicole's brother get his own story!

Nash has been friends with Alex for years which made it tough for him when he developed feelings for Nicole Alex's sister. Nash left to explore his career and ended up in Hawaii. Nicole is trying to find her own way and is supposed to be going to Hawaii with her brother but he has to back out at the last minute for work. So she goes on ahead and meets Nash when she arrives at his place. Nash has been waiting for Nicole and now that she's there he isn't about to let anything stand in his way to claim her. What will her brother say about them being together? Will it end their friendship?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first page to the last. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received this book as a ARC read and voluntarily provide my review. This is a short instalove story abovut Nicole and Nash. Nicole is younger and his best friends little sister. When the two end up staying in Nash’s beach house together for a week of vacation sparks fly and they find the love they were afraid to admit they had for each other years before. So I am rating this book based on many instaloves I have already read by various authors. In my opinion only, this is a typical one. Not much plot and no real conflict. Unfortunately I thought the entire story just seemed rushed even the steamy scenes. The erotica was “ok” - unfortunately it didn’t stand out as unique to me. It was nice to see an epilogue and of course the HEA.

Super sweet short story! Some good sexiness and steaminess too! The author did a good job of making the story seem not so rushed even though some things needed to be since this is a short read. Loved the connection between Nash and Nicole! He’s 12 years her senior and they haven’t seen each other in 5 years (She’s 23 now and he’s 35), but over the last 5 years both have realized how much they really do feel for the other one. There’s also the added element of Nash being Nicole’s brother’s best friend, so there’s a little bit of the forbidden aspect going on. It’s all set in Hawaii too, so that added a fun element to the story. Overall, a very entertaining and romantic short read!

I’ve had a really hard week and this book was enjoyable quick entertaining and cheered me up lol. A book with summer vibes and beach scenery will ALWAYS put me in a good mood. It’s also so unrealistic and laughable how fast their relationship went from 0 to 100 and the things he is saying to her are beyond corny for literally just becoming a thing but I also low key love all the corny stuff he’s saying to her. I need a Nash. SPOILERRRR The first week of dating and he’s already cumming in her without protection was so cringe, like nooooooo don’t that, aha, and the getting married within 3 months also made me cringe.

Nicole and Nash. Simmering feelings turned up to boiling when they find themselves alone together. Once again, Ms. Wade has included a playlist that has me pulling up long forgotten summer songs. I really enjoyed the way these two did not waste time or have any hesitation. The author draws you in with good characters and then pulls you the rest of the way with the story. I look forward to each new book from Ms. Wade.

The story of Nash and Nicole is great, however, some of the stuff Nicole said to Nash during their first "encounter" doesn't seem like something a young lady thats never been "touched" would say its quite forward and its like reading a bad porno. I like hot steamy books but I didn't enjoy the steamy parts of this particular book.
The story itself was enjoyable, I like the Playlist as it adds to the vibe of the book. I did take the liberty of pulling up the songs on YouTube as I didn't know them prior and as stated before it gave a general vibe to the story and I felt I was a nice touch.

A very sweet novel of Nash who had fallen in love with his best friend’s little sister Nicole. The attraction between the two of them led to some very romantic and sexy scenes. Nicole is so sweet and loving, and Nash is dashing, caring and absolutely sweeps her off her feet. It is a recommended additional to your library.

Nash is a surfer who lives in Hawaii. Nicole has been in love with Nash since forever. Now the two will be spending a week together with out Alex, Nicole's brother. However, something happens and they both realize that they need each other. Alex shows up and everything goes wrong. This is good story. The story setting is beautiful. I love the way that Nash protects Nicole.

I really enjoyed this story from an author that is new to me. The story was entertaining. The characters were interesting and likable. Nash and Nicole had feelings for each other but thought that it was just them. As soon as they realized it was mutual, they both were all-in. There is a little drama, but it's resolved quickly. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

This is a good quick read with steam and a possessive hero. So if you want to satisfy that craving and do it fast then this is the book for you. However, it was a bit too much like the hero and heroine hadn’t seen each other for like 5 yrs and were like confessing their love the next day. Now don’t take me wrong I love a good insta-love story, but somehow this was too much 😭😭. At the end it got so predictable and boring that I just couldn’t finish it.

This was super cute. Brothers best friend. Little sister. They’ve loved each other for so long but never acted on it until she winds up visiting him. Her brother is supposed to go with her but he gets called to work. So she goes alone. And man oh man am I glad she did. They had amazing chemistry together. He’s so protective and attentive. She’s baffled he could even feel this way but realizes she is worthy. Loved this story.

Loved the storyline of being attracted to brother’s best friend. The characters were both well written with warmth and care. Enjoyed the easy camaraderie and flow of the storyline. The epilogues were very romantic and fun knowing where they end up ten years later.
