This book reads like a bad telenovela. And it's the epitome of a writer telling but not showing. It felt very disjointed.

Una estupenda sinopsis y una historia básica y pobre en desarrollo, comenzando por la protagonista femenina.
En el primer capítulo, Honey se presenta como una mujer joven, heredera de un imperio mafioso, dueña de su destino, extremadamente independiente y capaz. A lo largo de toda la historia, pierde todas esas cualidades y termina siendo una ricachona caprichosa, con el único objetivo de sacar fotografías al paisaje. Una decepción.
Ni que hablar de Carter. Un capo de la mafia que me dejó sabor a nada, sin criterio, sin poder real, solo un idiota dominante en el dormitorio.

Honey has just been through a horrible experience and now to save her family's legacy she must marry Carter Calandro. Carter is a ruthless Mafia Boss. He knows what must be done to ensure his power but is Honey strong enough to stand beside him. This is not a fairytale romance. It is dark, intense and twisted. The story could have used more dialogue and interaction. The characters were well realized. The book was better than expected.

They end up in an arranged marriage as Honey is determined to keep her family legacy alive and Carter sees an opportunity to get what he wants. But there is someone who does not want this to happen and is going to try and take not only Carter's life but also Honey's. She is no wallflower or pampered princess though and is more than capable to stand on her own feet and on equal terms with Carter to defend what is hers. Along the way they find a sizzling hot chemistry between them that is going to make them mean much more to the other than either ever expected.
This is a fast, action packed, dark mafia story that has suspense, intrigue and also a whole lot of sexiness. But add in the fact that Honey is a very strong character and it makes this story even more interesting to read.

Honeys father was killed and she needed to do what he could to protect the Dormer Mafia so marrying Carter head of the Calandro mafia seemed like a good business plan til she met the man at the alter and his charm showed through. Carter never though of marriage till the opportunity rose with Honey for him to take over the Dormer Mafia too. Though seeing his bride nearly half his age he felt like a sinner claiming an innocent. Though honey was innocent in some ways she knew her fathers business. though starting out as a business marriage the sparks soon start to fly between Honey and Carter and When the not to distant past comes back with a threat its up to Carter to protect whats his. well written with action, suspense, romance, lust filled scenes and more!

I picked this up because I am a sucker for a mafia arranged marriage story. Throw in an age gap, and I am all in. However, I was shocked on how good Claimed for Life was. I was really surprised as I haven't read this author before. It's only 192 pages, but it really packs a punch. I also loved that the background was South Africa instead of New York or Chicago. This story was really original and completely different with unexpected twists and turns. Honey was born a Mafia Princess, but when she loses her father unexpectedly, she has to rely on an arranged marriage for her family's survival. It's not all that it's cracked up to be.

Bella King has done it again! Absolutely loved this book and the intense situations Honey and Carter get into.
Honey has no idea her life is about to change in so many ways in only a couple of short weeks. Going from an adventure to the desert, to mourning and then agreeing to a marriage out of duty to her family and Mafia.
Carter never thought about taking a wife but The opportunity to combined two Mafias wasn’t something he could say no to. But it’s a business deal not a love filled marriage... or so he thought.
Can they survive joining there Mafias and keeping it all business without love?

This was a fantastic book with so much in the way of danger and life and death situations, but you also get some sexy scenes..
He has under estimated her, thinking that she is nothing but a spoil brat, but he has to marry her if he wants to own both the Dormer-Calandtro Mafia, but someone is out to take not only his life but that of his new virgin wife.
So much went on in this story that I just loved, there were some parts that will make you laugh out loud and some parts that will make you cringe, but it was so worth my time.

I'm absolutely enthralled with this book. The marriage is out of convenience, but they both Honey and Carter seem to make the most of it. Carter wants a doormat for a wife, or so he thinks. Honey is definitely not a doormat, so Carter does not have a choice in that matter because Honey is not going to just lie down like a submissive. But Honey does appreciate Carter's alpha maleness. This book is not only hot, but it has suspense and backstabbing. Loved every page of this book.

CLAIMED FOR LIFE is one of the most action packed dark mafia romances I have read. Carter and Honey’s marriage of convenience to unite their two mafia families becomes much more than the business arrangement they were counting on.
The passion is steamy and Carter finds he has more than met his match in his mafia raised woman. Honey shows herself to be the kind of woman that can escape through the desert by herself and stand beside her mafia husband. Time really flies while reading this book.

An age difference mafia romance. The genius of this book is how everyone seems to underestimate Honey (FMC). They all assume that shes a pampered mafia princess and to outsiders it may look that way but shes anything but. Shes smart, shrewd, astute and very capable of handling herself. Which crops up in different parts of this book. I loved those parts. Carter is the perfect opposite to Honey. The age difference being his problem more than hers. Yes this book is dark throughout but at the heart of is trust, family and love. So i totally loved reading it. Just a great read

I have read a few books by this author but this is definitely a favourite. This story is about Carter and Honey’ and if you love the mafia genre - this does not disappoint. Twists and turns but ultimately their marriage of convenience to unite their two mafia families becomes much more than the business arrangement they were counting on. Lots of action, suspense and passion. Excellent read. Compelling and captivating!

From the beginning they have sizzling chemistry and passion. Honey is a strong independent woman and manages to save her self when needed. Action packed with lots of suspense and betrayal that comes from an unexpected source. Good story line and characters development.

This book was exceptional! Bella King knocked this one out of the park! This book was hard to put down. Carter Calandro and Honey Dormer were perfect characters. Due to certain circumstances, Carter and Honey are forced to get married. They both are head of mafia empires. From a business standpoint, marriage will unify their empires and make them strong. But there are unexpected twists and turns along the way. This book is full of action and adventure, unpredictability, hot and steaminess, mystery and suspense. Buckle up and enjoy this exciting thrilling! I highly recommend this book!

A good little story of an arranged mafia marriage. Not as dark as at first thought. A little humour and I enjoyed the repartee between Carter and Honey. Nice to see an author give the girls a more forceful part in the book. A little passion and plenty of action. An enjoyable read and look forward to the next one.

Honey's father is head of a mafia family so when he dies she has agreed to an arranged marriage to Carter who is head of another mafia family. Carter is much older than she is but he knows with the union of the two mafia families it will make for a stronger family. What he did not know is Honey is stronger than he knew and knows the workings of the mafia family. Enjoyed how their relationship evolved and the love and passion that they found in their marriage.

I've had to put Bella King's book on my to go to author for books. I love how the stories are well written, with a dark plot and amazing characters. Honey has to marry the Calandro Mafia head, Carter. They have tremendous chemistry and undeniable attraction. The story had plenty of action, suspense, lies, vengeance, steam and romance. This is an compelling and thrilling read! It is an on the edge of your seat read that is entertaining, captivating, and interesting! The story line is well written, well-developed, emotionally deep, funny, and consistent with suspense, drama, danger, killings, twists and turns, threats, and a whole lot of more. The characters are strong and amazing; their chemistry is sizzling hot.

Honey and Carter are both flawed individuals having been raised in the mafia, both thinking a marriage shall benefit them and neither expecting any romance or real connection to the other. The main characters are well written and have some steamy scenes. The sub-characters are also well written and add to the story.

Mafiosos que tratan mal a la chica, y luego se "enamora". No fue una lectura amena, y eso que el libro contiene pocas páginas me costo mucho terminarla.

5+ Star's love the characters, and didn't want it to end.
I would recommend this book to mature readers that enjoy reading stories that are at times laugh out loud funny, romantic, with steamy sex scenes, but there is a well laid out plot. Once you start reading you will not be able to stop.

Not a good book maybe short story
I really didn’t get the whole story. The mafia pays off cops not run from them. Bheka has all these toys armored vehicles, drones, and the good bad guys have no technology.Think you need to read up on some of the other mafia books out there.
