I Had A Boring Existence With No Love Life To Speak Of.

I never thought I would meet somebody like Wyatt and his two military brothers.
To learn they were lion shifters on the hunt for a suitable mate had me at a loss for words.
I was going to be in a relationship with three guys at my beck and call, on the premise of getting me pregnant!

But our relationship wasn’t just physical.

They were protecting me as we tried to ferret out a rogue faction of the military who were selling black-market weapons.
There was no way to know how far up the chain of command the corruption went.
I couldn’t stand idly by and do nothing, but what’s going to happen when I get in over my head?

Mating With The Pride is a standalone paranormal shifter reverse harem romance with a HEA and NO cheating!

Wasn't that good at all...

After reading Lion's Mate (technically, that title should had been Lions' Mate), I thought this book would be at the same level. Nope. Our heroine, the spy, finds herself dealing with three other spies, all of them working the same case but from different angles and for different employers. So what does a number-crunching spy do? Hook up with all three of them! Even though she realizes that they are lion shifters, this doesn't seem to bother her as much as it should had, nor does having a physical relationship with all three of them wasn't really an issue. Even though this woman's character is well-written in most parts, the essentials of this world-crafting is very off, and, frankly, it ruined the story for me.

The Star Trek Classic writers have said quite often to never introduce more than one outlandish concept you want your audience to believe in. More than one makes for a crappy episode. Spock's Brain? Remember that one? Horrible because more than one outrageous creative process was introduced and was expected to be accepted by the studio audience. In this case, the whole thought regarding shifters is way off and imbalanced. Who are these shifters? We really don't know much at all about Wyatt, Brett, and Niles, even at the very end in which it was revealed that the three brothers from different mothers were from lion shifter royalty. Huh? How did that contribute to the story line? Nothing. If it was supposed to, then I would have expected to see some of this reflected in their characters from the very beginning. We aren't told much about them throughout the story, and we're supposed to accepted what we're now told at the last four pages of the novel? Hell, no. Bad writing.

I don't buy the one month gestation period of a lion shifter-human hybrid. Even at maximum cellular growth, it would take much longer than a month to go from fertilized egg to birthing child. Even a mother's uterus couldn't adjust to this much change. The placenta belongs to the fetus, not the mother. It is from the fetus that the placenta develops from. Sure, I can see the placenta being HUGE to accommodate for all the compensations being made to handle the exchange of nutrients, etc., between a human mother and a fetal shifter hybrid. Strangely enough, very little passes back from the fetus through the placenta into the mother, so the writer's explanation of our new mom's ability to see in poor lighting without her glasses cannot be attributed to the fetus. Not happening. Nor can anything physiologically from the baby can contribute to the honing of the mom's sensory as well as her ability to fight better, see better, run faster, etc. That is all learned behavior and cannot be altered by any particular hormone over such a short period of time. Ain't happening. We can assume there might be some nonverbal telepathy going on between mom and fetus. After all, a fetus can hear what is happening around him/her while still in the womb. He/she doesn't have to understand words to not be processing incoming sensory input. A fetus can learn to tell the difference between voices, especially his/her mother's. Beyond receiving information, that's about the capacity of what a fetus can do. It's still learning, so keep that in mind. It's drive to survive is minimal as he/she gets what he/she needs via the umbilicus, so there isn't that drive to survive because of limited experience. Most babies are only concerned about eating/drinking/wet diapers/comfort than anything else during the first few months of life. Way too much trying to get away with murder when it comes to writing about this little critter.

The end was way too fast and furious for my tastes. I still had many more questions other than the big one: Is that all there is??????????!!! I guess so.

As for our heroine, I think I only heard the guys call her by her first name once or twice in this book. Sure, it's written in the first person from her POV, but even I am told my name many times in a month's span by my friends (and enemies).

On the whole, I was left empty and disgusted. So much more could had been done with this story... and it failed. No sequel. Don't know what happened to the bad guys. Too many were eliminated with a bullet between the eyes just when things started to get interesting. The evil mastermind just seemed to be more evil godlike because things were happening to the loose ends too quickly and permanently to be believable. And that's the problem with this entire book. It ain't believable. Nice sex scenes, but I could be watching hentai animation if I wanted fap material.

This is a new author to me and and I will definitely be reading more from her! The characters are well developed and the storyline is intriguing and suspenseful. Marcia is contracted by the defense department to investigate discrepancies. She meets Wyatt, Brett and Niles and there are sparks from the beginning. This book is full of secrets, lies, betrayal and romance. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!!

I tried. I really tried. I liked the idea of the book from the synopsis, but the writing was so scattered I could barely follow it.
Within approximately one hour, the main character jumped from discovering one of the men breaking into her bosses office to helping him escape (for no apparent reason), to sitting in a cafe with all three, arguing they should work together, with nothing holding that sequence together to make it make sense. At least, I think it was her arguing they should work together, from the way the conversation was written it could have been Wyatt arguing for that for all I know. And then two seconds later all three are declaring their desire to claim her as their mate, again with nothing to create a natural progression to it.
I really wanted to like this book, the story premise is right up my alley, but it was so jumpy that I could barely follow what was happening let alone who was saying what.

3 Alpha lion shifters and 1 human female can come together and learn to love and become a family.

They helped me to my feet and I turned to see the baby in Brett’s arms. They were fathers and they were going to have to do this without me whether they wanted to or not. My fervent hope was that they would make sure Abbott remembered me fondly and didn’t feel rejected by my passing. My love was eternal for my dysfunctional family. It was amazing what a few days could change. A chapter I didn’t know existed was unfolding. A baby born in less than a month was unheard of. Having relations with the three of them had resulted in this bundle of joy. I was pleased, but regretful that I wasn’t going to be around to see him turn into the fine young man he was destined to be. This story started out slow but gained as it went.

I could not finish this book after only a few chapters. In one chapter, the heroine states her parents fought a lot but stayed together right before she graduated school but they still got together for family functions and pushed each other’s buttons. Then a few chapters later, she states that her Mom died and her dad left when she was still in diapers. These types of inconsistencies really bother me and I cannot go on. Then the whole, the guys see her one time for 2 minutes and she is the love of their life all the sudden? Just insults my intelligence and I’m done.

Mating with the pride

This book had several stories in it.. The first part felt like it was missing a lot of info. The rest jumped around throughout which made it difficult to get through at times. Loved so many of the thoughts and ideas for this book. Probably should

have been at least a two parter.

Good story

This was an emotional one. I enjoyed the story, however it was a little bit difficult to follow in places. Some of the dialogue seemed to just kind of pop in at times where it felt like you were missing parts of the conversation. The story was good overall and quite different from the usual shifter stories out there.

Wtf did I just read

I’m having a hard time believing this was written by a woman.. I’ve read many RH books and this is by far the worst. Good for a man to get off I suppose but I can’t see how anyone would enjoy it

This book was intense and packed with a lot of action!

Marcia Lyons just lives her life day to day. She doesn't mix work and pleasure at all. She is strictly business. Well while she is working on a job she meets Wyatt, Nikes and Brett. She senses something and sees something different and her body reacts to them. What she sees is that she realizes they are lion shifters. So let the adventures begin. They help each other on the job to find some bad guuys when all of a suddeby they become the hunted. But while all this is going on the guys are up front with her about her being their mate. But they don't tell her all that will happen? That is pretty dang scary to find out in the beginning. This is a dangerous raid they go down not just for the job but for themselves as well. Will they prevail? Will love be enough? Ahh, you gotta read the book. The heat level was dominant, hot and intense.

Overall I loved the book and you will too.

💢Talk about lots of Action, Survival, Fear, Loyalty, Hate, Lust, Love, Wickedly Hot Scenes with (Vivid or Graphical) Intimacy. Definitely a Must Read!
🔹️ Marcia Lyons is a number cruncher but more than that she had a gift, she could see things in the numbers other people over looked and that why she was in demand. Something was there and she couldn’t pin point it then there were three hunks who made it difficult to think too!
🔹️Wyatt, Brett and Niles are LionShifters they had a job to finish figure out whose behind what on top of a woman who enchanted them.
☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is somewhat new to me. I was unable to put this book down

Marcia has been looking into some weird documents because something is off by them. One night she runs into a strange man in her boss's office but when her boss returns wasted she doesn't say anything about the man. Wyatt, Nikes and Brett are working on the very thing Marcia is so when they run into her again they start talking about what they were doing. Marcia can see that there is more to these men and that's when she learns that they are shifters. When Marcia lands herself in some trouble will the guys be able to keep her safe?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Erratic and unbelievable

I generally read a book a day and am excited when I read a new author. I couldn't get into the story Or the characters. The story was so erratic it got annoying fast. Over all the story is unbelievable and then the ending was laughable. After dying once and then nearly bleeding out completely during the delivery and a coma for 4 days, her first thoughts upon waking is let's have an orgy. No interest in the baby or mention of his horrid birth. I have yet to meet a woman who wants sex only 4 days after giving birth let alone one that actually died in childbirth and came back. Absolutely not sex with 3 guys. Nope. This will
not be an author I add. Hopefully this is a first book and the writing will improve with time.

Whoa what a story!! Love Love Loved It!!

I thought I was gonna have a heart attack there towards the end, lol. My heart is still pounding!!
Forget about being 3 lion shifters who finds their mate or the human woman it is. Its the whole story surrounding them that will keep you captivated and amazed.

Wyatt, Niles, Brett and Marsha's characters are strong, sexy, sassy and complex in personalities. They are unique and the danger the story invokes will draw the reader in hook line and sinker.

Mature readers, some strong language and sexual content.

Decent

Okay it was a good theme and had a good plot but it's just so jumpy. One minute it's talking about one thing the next it's something different. Don't get me wrong it's a good book just poorly written it needs more flow.

DNF at 25%. I’ve read at least three different stories about her family life already. Her siblings take money from parents; she’s an only child because dad left when she was just out of diapers. Folks divorced when she was 3 months from graduating, but still get together on special occasions and drive the kids mad. Mom died in her arms after she nursed her during an illness.

Also, she gets flowers on her desk. Note starts with, “The day I met you...”. You mean yesterday? Correction, last night!

This was a truly great reverse harem read. The storyline was full of suspense and action, violence and betrayal, and steam. I liked that Marcia was smart and not a heroine that was weak and whiny. Wyatt, Niles, and Brett were truly strong Alphas that protected and cared for her. This book was definitely well written and kept me engrossed till the end.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Marcia is hired by the defense department to investigate thing that are not adding up. She meets Niles, Brett, and Wyatt, military men. Can we say hot, sexy, buff, sexually attraction hitting the roof! But with danger among lies and corruption and deceit, her men will have to protect Marcia.
This book will keep you entertained, you really will want to read it in one setting.

Cover ups, betrayals, violence, steam, action packed suspenseful read. In the end, I like how the foursome bonded and really ended up saving each others lives- literally! Not surprising how jealousy and greed take over for integrity and honesty, and many are left floundering in the abyss. This story was about much more than the benefits of a RH and I liked that aspect and the message. I always enjoy a PNR and the protectiveness of a shifter for their mate and vice versa !
