Working as a coal-whipper, she makes enough to afford a place to stay and food to eat. It is hard labor, but she has an adventure and proving she can make it on her own. What happens with one of the Queen’s guards approaches her to come work at the Palace as a queen’s guard making more money?
Henry Clarke has worked for Queen Victoria as a head guard and brings in new recruits for the palace and new soldiers that may be required to fight on the battlefield. Jessie Harding is a new hire that he is taken under his care for training. Jessie looks like the young woman he saw bathing in the river, and when he starts questioning Jessie, he panics and claims that was his twin sister, Clara. From one lie, much more will be uttered.
The plot is full of secrets, lies, hidden agendas, new experiences, and adventures. What happens when Henry learns that Jessie has lied to him? How will he handle punishing her, and how high will the price be? Queen Victoria has been in mourning and hiding for two years since the death of Prince Albert, will a soft-spoken guard be able to help with the healing? The story is full of twists and turns, with some surprises. There are multiple spanking scenes, explicit sex scenes, including anal play. The story does have a feisty young woman, plenty of antics, a little bit of angst, some mistruths, and two people finding love, all while in service to their Queen.
The Decoy Bride
PROTECTING HER ABOVE ALL OTHERS
A unique and different story. A decoy bride, one who looks similar to the actual bride, will be attired in the same gown and sent in a separate carriage towards the church while the bride will be traveling another route. New Forest is a dangerous place with highwaymen who will attack carriages to claim brides, some come with larger dowries, but most decoy brides are poor.
This story kept me on the edge of my seat as the harrowing events unfold when the two carriages are both attacked. Violet is the decoy, and Francis Atwell has been sent by her guardian to protect her. For Violet, it is a matter of life and death with the vile men who captured the decoy brides and forced them into a hunted game. For Violet and Francis, it is a matter of life and death survival.
The plot of this story is fascinating, and the scenes playing out are intense. It isn’t a pretty picture, including kill or be killed situations. The characters are well developed, and the plot twist is unlike any other story I’ve read. When Francis tells Violet, “I will fight to my death to protect you,” they are not just words, he backs it with action. I think the hero and heroine are both clever, and because of being thrust into this unusual situation, it adds to the passion. Every girl needs a man like Francis that doesn’t just talk the talk; he puts action into his words, feelings, and makes it physical. Warning, this story does contain graphic violence, attempted rape, and detailed sex scenes.
The Lords of Discipline
WE CAN’T CHANGE WHAT WAS, ONLY WHAT WILL BE
The story is a bittersweet tale of the hardships, and yes, the unfairness of life from London, England to New South Wales. I am unsure if this story just ends here, or will be carried over into another story. If this is the end, darn, we are left hanging on the outcome. I liked the chemistry between Violet and James, but I want to know what happens next.
For Violet Kingsley, at fifteen, her parents are arrested and convicted of conspiring against the crown and sentenced to serve their time in New South Wales. Violet is taken in by a lecherous Uncle who tries to force his advances on her, causing her to flee into the night and live and survive on the streets.
Officer James Foster, a widower, is left with a daughter to raise after his wife Mary, dies during childbirth. He has enlisted the help of his sister-in-law while he works. Life hasn’t been easy, his parents are deceased, but he was left a home.
The story will bring Violet and James together when she succumbs to her dire situation after living on the streets for the past four years. When he is the arresting officer to her crime, he gives her a choice to serve as a nanny for his daughter Grace rather than go to prison. No good deed goes unpunished, and while trying to gain information on Violet’s parents, they learn the information can’t be given to a woman, but if she were married, it could be given to her spouse. That will set this tale into motion, a quick wedding, but trouble is brewing with a bad-blood relationship between James and a man Robert.
The story has a few spankings and the life and hardship of traveling to a foreign land on a prisoner ship as a guard and his family. Life on the sea for over three months is harsh and hampers a love life. What will happen when they arrive at their new destination? Will Violet ever learn about her parents or see them again?

I loved each story in this collection. Each are unique, enjoyable, and filled with wonderful characters and amazing storylines. A great collection and one I definitely.
Guarded Discipline
Jessie is having a hard time making it on her own, especially as an unmarried woman. Needing to get a decent job she cuts off her hair, dresses up like a boy and gets a job as a coal whipper. Henry works for the Queen Victoria as the head guard and it’s his job to handle the new recruits. He’s in charge of training Jessie and he can’t help but think she looks like a lady he seen bathing in the river. Jessie lies when he asks, and one lie leads to another. What will happen when Henry realizes the truth? This story is filled with twists and turns, lies, steamy hot scenes, and much more.
The Decoy Bride
This was such a different and wonderful story. The decoy bride is dressed exactly as the bride and their looks are similar. The decoy travels towards the church as the bride goes another. The highwaymen attack the carriages and want the brides for their dowries. Francis is sent to protect Violet, the decoy bride, and he will do whatever it takes to protect her. This story was gripping, the characters were likable and well developed, and it’s definitely a story I recommend.
The Lords of Discipline
Violet is taken in by her rotten Uncle at age fifteen, after her parents are arrested. After her Uncle makes unwanted passes she runs away and lives on the streets. James, is an officer and widow with a daughter to raise. After living on the street for the last four years, Violet meets James when he is her arresting officer. He offers her a chance to become his daughter’s nanny instead of jail. They soon learn when trying to find information on Violet’s parents, that the information can’t be given to a woman, but can be to that of a spouse. There are troubles ahead for this couple, but it’s such a great story and one you don’t want to miss out on.

This is a collection of 3 historical novels with strong male heros able to deal with adversity, and heroines who have had a rough life but refuse to give up.
Jessie needed to support herself, so she cut her hair and disguised herself as a young man. She was working shoveling coal, and suddenly one day Henry, a leader in Queen Victoria's guard, approaches the job site and tells her she could earn more money as a palace guard. Then, Henry spots Jessie naked and bathing in s stream. The lies get more and more complicated. With any work of fiction, a reader has to suspend realistic expectations, of course. In this story, the heavy involvement of Queen Victoria ways that clash with what we know about her historically, was a distraction from what was otherwise a pretty good story.
Violet, the heroine in the second story, has been raised by Harold since she was found alone as a 3 year old. She is an adult now, and Harold hires her out as a decoy bride. It is explained that robbers capture wealthy brides on their way church for their weddings, so decoys are hired to trick the thieves. Harold hires Francis to make sure that Violet is safe. I thought this story was very unique, and it was suspenseful. Violet and Francis are wonderful characters, and they make a great team.
Viola was left on her own at age 15 when her parents were transported to the penal colony Nee South Wales. She had to steal to keep herself alive, but then she is caught by a guard named James. James had seen Viola before, and he decides to show mercy to her. He is a widower with a young daughter, and he offers her the job of looking after the little girl. He is a good man and he really cares about Viola. Their story has a lot of wild twists and turns, and is a compelling read.

Jessie had taken jobs hiding her true identity. She was currently shoveling coal. Jessie was called over by one of the queens guards and told to be at the palace at 7 pm. She hurried through work and then needed time for a quick bath before going to the palace. She is caught by the queens guard Henry. She makes it to the palace just in time. Her secret was safe for a short time and then Henry protects her identity as long as he can. There are many twists and turns in this novel.
Violet has stayed with her guardian Harold since she was about 3 years old and found crying in the
streets all alone She does not remember what happened to her parents. Violet is being sent off to
be a decoy bride. She looks like Myrtle same dress etc. She is sent off ahead to draw whomever was
going to attack out so the real bride Myrtle won't be harmed and the decoy will not be harmed either. Both of their carriages end up being attacked. Myrtle gets to her wedding by riding a horse to get their in time. Violet has good survivor skills as you will see when you are reading this novel.
Viola had met James just once he bought her a hot meal. What are the odds of being arrested by
James and being sent to the penal colony would all come from rushing into a restaurants kitchen
and starts eating food that was meant for their clients. James did not arrest her but made a proposition to take her in and in return she would take care of his daughter Grace. She did take care of Grace and later on she does become a mom to Grace after she marries James. This is a great novel and you will greatly enjoy reading this entire collection

Cover is just too cool.
Looking for a little spice to add to your life well gang Ms. West has given you not one but 3 hot and steamy one. First off let me tell you that cover is just too cool let the drooling begin. Now let’s read our alpha romances. You will meet Jessie who takes on a man's job of shifting coal to ships when she decides to look into a new opportunity fate has something a bit different waiting for her and his name is Henry. Next, there is Violet an orphan whose life was not really good and what Harold did was just not cool. Then Francis will come into her life. The final book has Viola and James and there are some interesting parts in this one that you may not expect. The alphas will use goo old fashion discipline when they feel it is needed. This was an engaging collection if these types of books are your cup of tea you really should check them out. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is a splendid historical collection with three fantastic, previously released disciplinarian romances in it & each of them have good scene descriptions & world building. Each of these romances has an interesting plot with filled with some intriguing situations & events. The characters are well portrayed with realistic emotional feelings according to their personality.

I loved all three stories, I am a sucker for regency and discipline novels. All three kept me engaged and I could not wait to the end. These stories kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat. They contain all the interesting details for these stories. Some may find them offensive, I did not because they are stories., very imaginative stories. Referring story lines and great characters. I will be reading more by Allison West. I love a strong Alpha.

Three great stories that I will be reading again the stories are, Guarded Discipline, Decoy Bride, and Lords of Discipline. A the stories are well written and kept me turning pages. I will warn do not start at bedtime. The Alpha males and the women who come into their lifes, and what happens before they get their happy ending. I've read quite a few books by Allison West and have enjoyed them all. In this collection, you get 3 books with strong, alpha men caring for smart, determined women who need a bit of "guidance". All these woman have tried in one way or another to survive in a "man's world", by anyway they can. Each book's characters are well written, they are well paced, action packed reads.

I enjoyed the stories here. There is discipline and I can't really say it's underserved. The ladies in the stories are not your usual misses, but women who find their circumstances such that they must mingle in the realm of men to support themselves. The wonderful glimpse of the times the author provides swallows one wholly into the world. I would recommend this to historical readers.

A great collection of three power exchange romance stories, all well written, interesting characters with sizzling chemistry and hot steamy storylines. Loved the books they were great,the stories were well written and the characters are interesting. The uniqueness of each book were intriguing I know they have the alpha men and they also have the women that are feisty, sassy so can the alpha males get what they want the mate to last a long time.

The Alpha Collection by Allison West is a great box set that I enjoyed reading. This box set is three full length novels that I have really enjoyed reading and can not wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about historical romances.

This is a wonderful collection of hot no nonsense alphas who take control of situations with women. Although I enjoyed each book, my favorite is Lords of Discipline.
