These days you can often find her pounding away at the keyboard, trying to capture the magic of her own worlds.
Ok, full honesty here, I have read with my eyes and ears every single book and short story set in this universe multiple times. One can say I'm a bit of a fan so when I saw that the audios were combined in the correct read order, I of course had to buy it, even though I own each title separately. And boy did I enjoy it.
This one starts with Sweet Nothings, which is my ultimate favorite of this world cause I love Sam and the kids.
Then you get all the short and sweet stories featuring them.
It then moves on to the first Chosen One story, All or Nothing.
Which then turns into the second book, Nothing Ventured.
I still love Sam the most even after all these rereadings and hope y'all love him as well.
One thing to mention, you really need to follow the reading order for this magnificent but really huge world. Having the bundles makes doing that so much easier.
Also, I'm not sure these would be so good without it being narrated by Michael Dean. I love his voice and he does these characters really well.

Omg yall...
First off, reading these as a bundle this time was so much easier. If you are going to read with your eyes and not your ears, I suggest doing it this way.
This is my 4th time reading this universe. I have read with my eyes and with my ears and yall, I love the audio. Give them all a listen.
Slight spoilers
I realized during my audio reading that the real main person in this poly relationship is Henry. It should be Sawyer but let's get real, Henry has and will have more screen time and has a fully fleshed out backstory and all the main and crossover people are related to him. Its also him that actually started the whole universe.
It still hurts me to have Sawyer be the side piece but it is what it is.
So this bundle starts with the story of Sam and Vaughn and how they came together to save a group of kids. One of which is Henry. The vampire and griffin are introduced at the end of that book.
Then we have two short stories featuring the rescued kids one of which is Henry.
Then the first book of the Chosen universe, where we meet Sawyer and Draco. All five guys become mated.
The second chosen universe book picks up after the first one with someone trying to kill Sawyer so they go to the Griffin island. Someone tries to kill Sawyer again and he meets another guardian who is a hippocampus. Thus ends with the fae prince showing up claiming to be the next guardian.
I absolutely love this world and want everyone to read them.
I truly love this series. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve read it. Love it.
8/26/2021 I’ve re-read the entire series (minus Magical Mates book 2) so that I can go back at re-read Logan: Chosen Champions Book One to see if i missed anything. Needless to say, i obviously love this series enough to read it a bazillion times in short order.
love this series so much and having them in a bundle is so much fun.. the price is amazing for how much you get.. so much fun.. so many amazing things happening and amazing characters.. love the writing as well.
This series joins the ranks of some of the best I've read ever. And I'm only half way done. I have been wanting this series for a long time and I'm glad I got to be a part of it. It's been a hair raising journey, while amazing at the same time. It's been an emotional roller coaster as all the guys have had to come to some understandings they never thought of before, learn new things about themselves, and open themselves to possibilities they never dreamed of. And all because of a human with a heart of gold, who has the power to see and change things with just who he is. Trouble is afoot as no one is really accepting of a human as a part of their world, but Sawyer with his mates are changing everything anyone ever thought was true. Yeah, they are flying blind a lot, but they go with their gut and are rarely wrong. They are scared, terrified really, at what is coming, because to the mates, Sawyer is all that matters. But they are learning to adapt and open their eyes to new things.
I love these characters. All of them have something about them that just makes them perfect. Yes, they are all flawed, but they have so much to them. They are so complex and beautiful and it's amazing to get to be a part of this world. I can't wait to read the rest of this series. http://lovebytesreviews.com/
I have no idea how to explain this. The prequel (sweet nothings) and the two shorts have the vibe of a family friendly middle grade book with a couple of sex scenes from to protagonists for the grown ups in the crowd, but they're primarily children getting into shenanigans. And then we get a 180 and books 1 and 2 are a sexfest with plot in between. And the main relationship with the prequel is Henry, and it feels kind of off in the first book to have him involved in the sexfest when in the prequel and shorts he was under 12 and only was stated as grown in the short epilogue. He's close to the same age as Sawyer but feels too young. We get too much sex and not enough character development and plot progression for my liking. The plot is so far good enough to continue, but if I skip a couple of paragraphs in yet another sex scene here or there I know I'm missing nothing.
The chosen one universe bundles are all the wonderful books in this series and the spin-off all in one place, it’s done in chronological order which I really enjoyed. The first bundle holds the prequel, books one and two, along with some of the shorts all about the cubs from the prequel. I loved all of them, the first time I read them individually, now to read them in sequence just enhances the experience, just be prepared to get nothing done while reading them.
Fantastic storytelling, great way to binge the series
Rating: 4.75🌈
Books: Sweet Nothings All or Nothing Nothing Ventured
I am all in on these series collections. It allows me to read straight through a series of books without stopping, something every binge reader dreams of.
As I said in my review of Hell On Earth (Hellhound Champions #1) , I’m in the process of reading all the Chosen One novels. What better way than Chosen One bundles?
This bundle takes me back to the origin of all the series and relationships.
It begins with Sweet Nothings, the prequel novel, that’s the foundation . Here we meet human Sam Baker, alpha Vaughn Jerrick, and some of the most engaging supernatural children ever. The plot, which is heartwarming, romantic, funny, and and totally captivating. It’s also extremely moving. And not without its moments of heartbreak.
Many of the young beings are people that play important roles throughout the overall Chosen Ones series. So this is indeed where it all starts.
The next two stories are completely different. The first couple of Sam and Vaughn are completely monogamous, as you would expect a werepack Alpha mated couple to be.
But All or Nothing and Nothing Ventured are focused on the group of Guardians as they slowly find each other, adjusting to what they are to their roles and new relationships. And what that might mean to the Chosen One when it’s located, the one they are committed to, via a prophecy.
Hint, the Chosen is found but not all the Guardians are counted for as yet.
These are incredibly sexy stories. Also high action and adventure. We are talking Vampire, Dragon, Griffon, …ummm nope. The rest will need to be read.
But the relationship between all of them? It’s only of polyamory. And it’s not only extremely sexy but it works beautifully in as far as the need for their tightly crafted relationships with each other.
Blake has a huge overall series plot thread being crafted that started with Sweet Nothing and continues to build with deadly suspense with each book.
The black magic and villain is hidden to great effect, truly chilling.
I loved both books. It was outstanding seeing Henry, a grownup 21, and well into his powers. Although wasn’t quite ready for his Daddy kink.
That was a issue reading those stories together. For me, he was just the haunted, traumatized orphan I left behind in Sweet Nothings. Oops! Now he’s 21. I felt like his parent.
Hmmm , yeah, that took a while. Sawyer yes, Henry, too soon. Not anything more than reading the books right after each other.
By Nothing Ventured, I was fine. And loving the polyamory relationship of the Guardians.
Anyway I’m onto the second volume of Chosen novels.
And if you’re a fan of supernatural beings, mythological creatures, magic, Macy Blake, and the Chosen One Universe, here’s a collection for you.
KU read. DNF before I finished the first story. Writing style is not my cup of tea. Insta-love in the extreme. Warm and cuddly, found family so in the face that no one had personalities.
Two things: a sex flashback while holding a terrified child & allowing Ms. Foote to flee, no one even attempting to stop her or question her. Just showed her the door, then never even asked the kids why they were held captive, because it was more important that Sam find his found family and be warm and cuddly within seconds of meeting them, with only a rejected one-night-stand from years ago, instantly in love and mated.
Reads like a cheesy MF novel with Sam replacing the lonely damsel, even more so on the fluffy scale. The cute kids take center stage, which means there is zero relationship or character development, Sam and Vaughn just a given, no conversations, drama, or emotional connection.
Sweet Nothings (#0.5) What an incredible introduction to this series. I fell in love with Sam, Vaughn, and all of the kids, especially Ollie. The world build kept me highly entertained and I can’t wait to read more.
Santa Trouble (#0.76) Aw, it was lovely seeing the kids and their first Christmas. Their confusion and misunderstandings regarding Santa Claus and his role were really funny and I laughed out loud more than once.
The Trouble with Love (#0.75) This was absolutely adorable watching Vaughn try to make a Valentine Day plan to propose to Sam. Plan A didn’t work, Plan B got messed up, and Plan C was derailed by six kids getting the flu. Ick! Didn’t matter, Vaughn proposed in the way that worked best for him and Sam.
All or Nothing (#1) ”And second, and this is critically important—” Draco sighed. “Yes, I will shift into my dragon and light marshmallows on fire so you can make s’mores.” Sawyer cracked up and pulled Draco into another hug. “And that is why you are now, and always will be, my best friend.”
It only took a few pages for me to fall madly in love with Sawyer and Draco. Then the addition of Henry (one of the rescued children of Sam and Vaughn), Eduard, and Andvari just gave me more new characters to love. The world building is phenomenal as are each of the characters including some great secondaries.
I do have to say (fanning myself) that this book is HAWT! Smoking, effing hot. Since I’m familiar with this authors other pseudonym, let me just say that she’s saved all her kink for the Macy Blake name. *grins*
Nothing Ventured (#2) Oh my. This world is growing more and more entertaining! The fact that the evil in the supernatural world is probably tied back to Henry and his siblings abductions and years of abuse makes perfect sense. I can’t wait to see how all of this plays out.
Sawyer and his mates are amazing and I fall more in love as each page is turned. Thank you, Macy, I’m on to volume two.
This series has, I kid you not, one of the most amazing plotlines ever!
That said, I could have done without half the orgy-like sex that was explicitly detailed for us when Sawyer was in the throes of getting familiar with and closer to his first four mate guardians. I enjoy eroticism when it works into the romance between soulmates/couples; however, even knowing the writer was trying to emphasize that the relationship between each guardian and Chosen One was going to be sexual and as mates, the pages of detailed, often repetitive sexual acts became too much for me. It felt like a scene from a porn movie on repeat.I
The lewd scenes aside, there were moments between Sawyer and his guardians that were lovely and.meaningful. Sawyer seemed able to read and scan each guardian for anything that might have bothered the, and was wonderfully adept at taking the right steps to lessen, even removing, the problem. The fact that Sawyer appeared to be only a mere human is a puzzle; I think there's more to Sawyer than meets the eye. I mean, the Goddess visits him, and speaks to him privately. She wouldn't do so had Sawyer only been the human he seemed to be in appearance.
Great, imaginative, and exciting, the mystery behind Henry's origins and the disappearance of shifter/paranormal babies continue to push Sawyer and his growing collection of guardians to seek answers in historical records and testimony from those who may have witnessed significant events by living through the time when the mysterious disappearances and vile, murderous poaching took place. I took off a star for the over-abundance of graphic orgies between Sawyer and his combinations of partners. Four stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟
My reviews might sound a bit weird because they were first written on the individual books.
Sweet Nothings: If you've read the first two books in the Chosen One series then you've already met Henry, if not do yourself a favor and read them because they are awesome. This story answers the question asked of the other guardians, how a magic user belongs to a wolf pack; this is the story of how Henry got his family and it's also Sam and Vaughn's story. It can be read either before or after the first two books. I loved seeing Henry and his siblings find there safe haven with Sam and Vaughn and seeing Sam and Vaughn reconnect after the disaster their last meeting was.
All or Nothing: Holy harem! A very kickass series starter. I can't express how much I loved this, these characters are amazing and their dynamic is so freaking steamy 🔥🔥🔥😥😥. I'm in for the long haul, I can't wait to read the next book in the series and I hope that there are many more coming.
Nothing Ventured: Sawyer and his men are back and hotter than ever. Two books in and I can already tell that this series is going to be a long time favorite. Sawyer gets drawn deeper into the hidden world of magic that surrounds him and learns more about the epic responsibility he is destined for, as the danger mounts so does the love and closeness of his mates. I am so ready for the next book, hell I was ready as soon as I read the last sentence.
I also loved the two bonus stories and I seriously love the way the collections have all of the stories in the correct reading order.
*I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book provided by the GRR team*
I think Macy Blake is secretly a mage. She has a magic way with words.
Sweet Nothings
“Family is the people Olin your heart, not just the people in your blood.” Meeting everyone was so much fun and what a wonderful family. I adore Sam, Vaughn and their love story. They are the very best alphas and I want to be part of their pack.
Santa Trouble
Santa better watch out. Those kids are firecrackers. Ollie should be a spy and I love all of those kids. They are adorable, smart and together can accomplish anything. They are the best present.
The Trouble with Love
“As long as they were together, let the trouble come.” Glitter and scissors do make everything better. Vaughn and Sam are the best parents and their family is amazing. You can feel the love with every interaction.
All or Nothing
“You are just the heart this world needs.” We are introduced to a magical, amazing world. I love Sawyer and all of the characters we are introduced to. They are all sexy, strong, and have some amazing secrets. Welcome to a place where the impossible becomes possible.
Nothing Ventured
“No one messes with pack.” Nothing is ever boring in Sawyer’s world; although I think some days he’d love for it to be. I adore all of his guardians and love how they all protect, care and build trust with one another. Destiny awaits but be careful what you wish for.
Didn't love all the books but the ones I did were amazing
The prequel and shorts - 5 stars I'm really happy that I read the prequel and the short stories before book 1. They are 5 star books and had me and my emotions by the throat. I loved Sam, Vaughn, the children and the family and the whole story made me buy all the books in the series. Awesome couple, great story telling and the author made me love every single one of them.
Book 1 - 3 stars If I had read this book first I wouldn't have continued with the series. I had no time to get to know the men and care for them before it was sex all the time. I love a good erotic moment but I actually skipped several in this book because I wanted more story. In the end my feelings for Henry and his family and because the story was finally picking up made me continue.
Book 2 - 4 stars This book was way better than bok one and I grew fond of the men and their relationship and I loved getting to know more of the Griffins and a new guardian that I really enjoyed. This book made me want to continue with the series as it got interesting again.
This is a paranormal fantasy romance suspense series that has taken two different series plus various shorts and put them in chronological order within three massive volumes and they must be read in order. I’m not going to lie, I started off this series loving the prequel story and then I wasn’t sure how I felt about the rest. However, I’m coming at this review at the end of reading all three volumes over about 2.5 days. The world building is incredible, the characters each get their chance to “speak” to you and share their POV. The only downside if you will is that there is just too much sex! I love a sexy story as it relates to characters and their relationship building but there was so much sex at times that I couldn’t figure out who was even being sexed up! I’m reviewing all three of these volumes at once, so overall the story is cohesive and the plot is fantastic and frankly, you will want to read all three of these volumes one right after the other to get the full picture though.
Wow - I'm totally invested in seeing this series to the end! Let's start with the prequel. Six kidnapped kids, one human (Sam) who sets in motion their rescue and the alpha werewolf (Vaughn) who rescues them and finds his mate in the human. Sounds like a straightforward story, but it's anything but. The kids are great characters, esp. Ollie and Ben, their protector. I loved how Vaughn recognised how brave and strong Sam was, despite being human. There is is much going on in the story - shifters, hurt/comfort, hellhounds - all wrapped up in an exciting, fun (and humourous) story. The next 2 bonus stories are so good as well, so much fun and heart. The 2 Chosen One stories are excellent! Lots of action, suspense, humour and steam. Their link to the prequel is one of the kids. So glad that the stories are bundled together in order - makes the reading so much more enjoyable. Highly recommend the stories and the bundle!
The prequels are amazing stories!! The only really strange thing about the prequel is that the main character had a flashback of the other main character having sex with him in a parking lot... The flashback happened while holding a panicked six year old... That seemed odd.
The actual chosen one book however... Just push through it. You are eventually told what the plot of the story is besides the author's need to live out a harem fantasy. Seriously, there is just so much porn\smut in this book that at one point I actually counted about 15 pages of sex I had to skip through before the story picked up again. None of the guardians are succubus or incubus so I really cannot fathom the shear amount of sex the writer puts in it. The storyline itself and the characters are fun even missing out on most of the sex scenes.
I like this whole world that the author is building and the characters are likeable most of the time. They (mostly Sawyer) have their moments where you just want to smack them.
I am not sure if I should have started with book 1 and then read them in the order they were released instead of the way these collections are set up. I think by reading the prequel first, I was expecting Henry to be the center of the books. With so many characters and more being introduced, I wonder how the author will find balance between all of them.
There are some inconsistencies between book 1 and 2 about the world the author has made. I also wish the author would have chosen another name for Saeward because of Sawyer's name. Regardless of things I could sit here and nitpick, I did enjoy the book and will continue the series.
I really liked the first book in the series, and the following novellas were really cute, then came the next book, which took a rapid and unexpected turn into a ridiculous amount of porn with not nearly enough plot to justify it. And with 5 characters all going at each other with no rhyme or reason. I’m fine with multiple partners stuff, but there was literally no kind of build or romance or relationship building, it was just - here we all are, everyone screw everyone.
I even tried skimming through some of the sex scenes to get back to the story, but it was just way too much and way too frequent.
It’s a shame because I was interested in the story, but the story became minimized and instead just back to back sex scenes. I finally just gave up, which I almost never do.
Let this volume be a start of a new -to-me author. I've never read any of her work prior to this and am now thrilled to have had the opportunity to do so.
Without following my usual behaviors and adding a lot of spoilers. This time will not be the case or with upcoming volumes. Any reader will be best served reading each book for the unique experience. Overall world building was fantastic, the characters worked perfectly and the continuation from one book to the next flowed perfectly.
Whether its a little heartwarming, miscommunications/misunderstandings, or fun attempts at love; there is something for almost everyone.
Enjoy!
**I received this Volume One ARC via Gay Romance Reviews for my honest feedback.**
I loved book 1, the prequel. Sam, Vaugh, the kids, the extended family. The little added shorts were adorable too. Moving into the actual series, I really liked the storyline but I've hit a point in my life where the story is more important than all the sex (not that it ain't spicy, there was just A LOT). Book 2 of series moved the story along more with Sawyer finally getting his next mate, but my goodness it was well into the last last third of the story by then. I really hope the taste we got of Book 3 in the series with the epilogue proves as fun as that little anecdote.
KU, own, box set, paranormal, dragon shifter, griffin, vampire, magic, prophecy, gods, action, fated mates, harem (5 men and more coming)
This is volume one which consists of Chosen One prequel, book 1 & 2 and also a few short stories.
I loved the prequel; it set the scene for the rest of series perfectly. I always wondered how Vaughan and Sam got together and I finally got my answers.
The short stories centre around the young cubs. The cubs were so freaking cute and I liked how the author shared different POVs.
It was amazing reading the books back to back without having to wait for the next book. This is a wonderful series with plenty of action, steamy scenes, magic, and suspense.
*I voluntarily read this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no else's*
I absolutely love the books in this volume. Together with Sam after Vaughn introduced him to a world the poor human hadn't even dared imagine, I got had my eyes opened to magic and fantasy creatures, and gripped by intrigue and danger.
The prequel is a brilliant opening to the Chosen One series. These stories are awesome because there are so many twists in the plotline, new characters are introduced at every turn that I can never tell whether they're good or bad. Destinies are messed with, schemes are plotted and it's breathtaking.
I'm hooked on this world and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I love Vaughn and Sam's story and was so happy to re-read it as well as the two short stories, they were so sweet.
I had never read the chosen one stories before and they were even better than I expected. The first one was a great setup, getting to know them all, discovering the links between the four first guardians and their mate. It was fun and hot with some great action. The second chosen one book was even better, the plot getting thicker, the action was great and the plot a lot deeper, as all of them get even closer to each other. I loved the new guardian and can't wait to discover more about him
This is the first volume of the : Chosen one series a M.M paranormal fantasy series .
This my third time reading this series I've read all but the last book in this series so when I was ready to read that book I find out that the whole series has been split into three volumes . So I started over with volume one and I glad that I did because I never got the chance to read the two side stories with Sam and Vaughn which I just adored thanks Author . As for the other books in this volume were as great as ever I had forgot some good parts in these book's and I have truly enjoyed reading about these characters and their adventures again .
I want sure about this book because not many authors handle poly relationships well. Let's just say that's not the case here. MB does an awesome job of not making the story all about sex. There's a lot, but it's not every page or even every chapter. That said, the prequel was perfect in drawing me in. And the short stories before the chosen one was introduced?! I laughed so hard I cried at the Santa story :) most definitely recommend this series. Interesting story so far, steam that will light you up, and enough humor to get you laughing when it's needed the most.
Its starts out with Sam and Vaughn and finding 6 kids that were kidnapped and abuse by a witch. All of these kids were just adorable and I branch into cut little stories that they star in. 5 stars for them The Chosen One: Sawyer, he is the Chosen One who has Eight Guardians. So far he found his 5 , 4 of which are his mates at this time and his new guardian is waiting to mate the others. Last we see we think is Guardian #6. When you have all these mates all your reading about are orgy after orgy. Only about 20% is the story which is why it is at a 3 Star total
After reading each one of the book on this series, prequel and short stories included, I can't think in anything better that the opportunity to re-read all these books together and in chronological order. I don't want to say much to avoid spoil anything for you but I am telling you this: every single book on the series added a piece in a giant puzzle masterfully constructed by Ms Blake and all the characters, the intrigue, action, magic and more, helped to round up one of the most incredible worlds ever built... believe me, the adventure is just beginning.
This was a pretty good start to the series. This story definitely grabbed my attention from the first page and was pretty good. There were a few moments when the plot wavered or felt a little bit lost but it was still a very good start to the series. It’s a very engaging book and made me want to keep reading. This is a volume with some really great stories in it. I definitely want to keep reading books by this author and getting to see more characters. Each story in this is very good and added something more to it. I really enjoyed each character and can’t wait for more.
Wow, what a series. The Chosen One Universe is a series of interconnected stories and books and is filled with magic, romance, and supernatural creatures. These books are well written, filled with complex interconnected characters and awesome world-building. The books also contain some poly relationships that just work and are steamy in the extreme. The story and characters develop and grow throughout the series and left me laughing out loud at some of the scenes, Cosmo :-). I couldn't stop reading and just have to finish the series.
