The Chimera Retribution
What if, the entire human race were a means to an end? What if, our existence is an outcome of experimentation and intervention, that went on for millennia? I have read first book by the author @scribblerabhinav and absolutely liked that. This also keeps the momentum that is Inherent feature of his writing.

A fast paced thriller with multiple layers of happenings. You see the events happening in your imagination like watching a movie.
It is about a scientist and his family who struggle to fight disease, politics and hidden rivals.
I liked initial scene of world trade tower plane crash which is modified for the book. It is a fast read free of unnecessary details. Author likes to focus on events in stead of structures and surroundings.
🏃🚶🏃.
Climax is also justified and leaves an impact on reader.
What I wish to change is a little more description of emotions of the characters.
A very good read. I recommend you to read both his works.

I'm a fan of this author from his first book itself. I must say, this book of the author is a levelled-up thing. Here's my NO SPOILER review:
It is a pure science fiction book, filled with the thriller. The story has a character- Vishakha. A simple but extremely intelligent girl, who's working with Dr Chandrakumar, a scientist. During a research work, Dr Chandrakumar and his team are attacked by someone unknown and Chandrakumar gets killed at the cost of saving Vishakha, as she has a secret embedded inside her that she, herself don't know and has to find out. Dr also asked her not to trust anyone in the process, be it police, her beloved uncle or even her family. On the other hand, a vigilante is messing up with the best agent in RAW. Although he doesn't belong to any terrorist community, he knows enough to be one step ahead of the entire team. Yes! it is as thrilling as it sounds. So, I'll leave you hanging here.
The book has three plus points:
1) Every single chapter is like a short story, that has something thrilling in it. Trust me with this, you'll enjoy the journey so much, that you won't be impatient to reach the climax.
2) Author's knowledge of Physics is wisely used in it. He has attempted to explain many things scientifically that we do without reasoning.
3) His take on religion is just perfect! Something, that many don't understand.
Now, people who've read his first book, there's a surprise for all of them. Won't give any more information here, as it can make you guess the connection. That connection is so wisely placed, that it has me amazed it the best. I enjoyed it the most.
Overall, it can compete with your favourite marvel movie. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all those who enoyed marvel movies.

‘The Chimera Retribution’ by Abhinav Singh is a book that revolves around Vishakha Dutta. The book begins with a man coming in Daniel’s office and demanding something to which Daniel says that he doesn’t have what he is looking for. Daniel is being threatened that his family will be killed to which he hands over some electronic transcripts with a code name ‘The Chimera’. Next we move on to Vishakha who is continuously told by her uncle to join Dr. Chandrakumar in this project but she is not so interested to join him. She wanted to apply for a master in computer science in US. She consistently asks her uncle what this project was and the only response she gets is that it is a top secret project. On hearing about a top secret project she just couldn’t resist herself after hearing about this ‘top secret’ project and soon joins in. Soon, Dr. Chandrakumar and his team are attacked where Vishakha tries her best to save doctor and make a run from the place. While all this is going on Dr. Chandrakumar tells her that her life is more important than his and she is the only one who will have to find the truth. Somehow she makes it to the trap door at the end of the trailer but she was shocked with what the doctor said about the truth and her life being more valuable. She cannot inform anyone about what has happened as all are involved in this including her family. What is it that this mysterious man wants from Daniel? What is it with the code name ‘The Chimera’? What does the doctor mean by Vishakha’s life is more precious and she has to find the truth? What is this truth about? To know more read ‘The Chimera Retribution’.
My Thoughts:
The plot is well developed wherein the readers will find a plot twist on each page. The suspense is maintained nicely throughout the book and will keep the readers on edge throughout the book.
The characters are well developed especially Vishakha who is brave and even while stuck in a bigger problem she tries to help the doctor. There were too many characters and it can get confusing for some apart from that they are well developed and will surely keep the readers engaged throughout this adventurous journey of Vishakha in the quest of truth.
Language is simple and lucid. The narration is excellent and the pace of the story is perfect it will keep the engaged and curious to know what is going to happen next.
The book cover is done amazingly with a mysterious creature. The title of the book is also apt to the plot.
Overall, I liked reading the book and I would definitely suggest this book to all those who love reading adventurous, mysterious books.

Review:
The Chimera Retribution is written by author, Abhinav Singh. The story is covered in 34 chapters but it does not take too long to pick up the thrill. The story is full of suspense and starts with the protagonist, Vishakha Dutta who is being chased for some unknown and very strange reasons. The plot is set in Maharashtra and has a strong connection with the ancient temples within the state.
The story is intriguing and keeps you hooked throughout. Every chapter of the book justifies the plot, giving you a sense of fulfillment. The Author’s knowledge and take on science and religion is fascinating and keeps you engrossed into the story. It has a good narrative style and plot twists keep you up with every chapter. I liked how the suspense never dropped throughout the book.
I also liked the characterisation of Vishakha with her innate braveness. The book has a lot of characters which are more or less well rounded. This book is fast paced, even though it is 441 pages long. The author has developed the story, visually; hence it makes you imagine everything written and the events feel movie like. The language is simple and makes the book more accessible to wider readership.
This book keeps you engrossed at all times. I wish the characters of the book had more arc and detailed complexities. The plot is event driven and hence makes the climax come out and leave an impact. All in all, it is a good read and will keep you up with the story. If thriller is your genre then go grab the book.

•This is a different level novel. The story is about solving something related to aliens or other species.
•The book revolves around Vishakha Dutta, who is about to pursue a course of Master in Computer Science in America, but her uncle wanted her to join Dr. Chandrakumar on top secret project.
•On hearing about a top secret project she just couldn’t resist herself after hearing about this ‘top secret’ project and soon joins in.
•During the research, Dr Chandrakumar and his team are attacked by someone unknown and Chandrakumar gets killed after revealing a shocking secret to Vishakha and told her to keep it as secret only.

September 28, 2020First of all thanks to Abhinav Singh for providing me the book for a honest review. This book is about mainly a antagonist trying to destroy the mass of people by killing them where as story is how to save it. So the main characters i this book are Vishaka, Satyarthi Das the scientist, Abesh Sarkar and there are many others like mahesh, kawade, oscar, Adien Carpenter. In this book you cant say who is antagonist or protagonist all do it because of there own conscience. Vishaka sure is protagonist where as satyarthy das is antagonist.
I like stories which make me feel like a movie going on which keeps you going on till the end. Author does not disappoint in this book as well like his first book The last attractor of chaos.
This book is about revenge of a scientist who wants to change the system by removing the purple who are responsible for the death of his family which leads to a lot of chaos.
Overall i would says its a action packed and many secrets to be opened in the book. So i am restraining myself from writing anything about the story as it will be a spoiler. And I would want people to read this book at least once. Overall it's a very good Goodread... 🙂

After a long time, I am reading a very interesting, engrossing thriller from an Indian author. It's a well-written book with a lot of twists and turns that keep you wanting to turn the pages and not let go. This is a typical thriller, with every page an unexpected twist.
This is a typical Dan Brown formula for writing a thriller. Throw in a heady mixture of ancient history, mythology, a technology from the frontiers of science(Mach 5 aircraft - 2 hours from the USA to India), gadgets, some big names NSA, DRDO, PM, CIA, SETI, an innocent girl, a valiant saviour falling in love, a Mills & Boons romance, some violent sex and you have a heady mixture served with moving across various places in India and USA.
However, I would still rate it as a good book to read, a fast-paced thriller and unputdownable.

A thriller always begins with a mystery that needs to be solved,here in the starting of the story we can see the problem took place between Daniel and Mr chatrez.with negative consequences at stake. Suspense and tension build as the character Vishika enter in the story it has became more interesting. Will she fight against all the powers? Will she able to get back to her normal life as usual and much more. If you want to know more about the book go grab your copy now. It's just 441 page read.
Author has potrayed every little thing in his writing which I love the most like time house no,work profile even the company of the watch.
At somepoint I feel like some characters can be a little bit more.the whole book Written in very simple way without using any difficult word or tone but I don't understand some of words like CIA NSA DEA as I am not a science student,will read about them for sure.

In Chimera Retribution written by Abhinav Singh, the beginning of the story revolves around a few archaeologists searching for clues on evolution. Dr. Chandrakumar claims that underneath the pillars of our ancient structure, there exist clues to human evolution. There is something underneath those rocks at Ellora Caves that holds the key to create genetically enhanced human beings. Dr. Chandrakumar and his team including Vishakha was in pursuit of it but someone has got their hands on it. only Vishakha survives the attack and now she's on the run because a lot of people including CIA and SETI are chasing her for something more important and sinister. There's something inside her but she has no idea about what is it and why they want her? she cannot trust anyone not even her uncle. To know more about her journey to find the truth about herself you must read this book.
Female protagonist, Vishakha , kept me intrigued throughout on how she was going to overcome the continuous stream of deadly obstacles thrown into her path. This book was interesting and very exciting, I enjoyed the science and the story line, it was plausible and quite believable, This makes a work of fiction even more exciting, Well developed plot that seems straight forward, but turns out there are a few surprises along the way. It didn’t delve as deep into the characters, I think because there were so many different characters throughout the book but i still enjoyed it. The writing flows and keeps the reader's interest. And the action sequences are frequent and well-plotted. While there are no info-dumps, I felt that the author definitely did the research, which makes a book even better. I don't want to say much more because part of the pace of this book depends on finding out bits of information at very specific times in the story and I don't want to spoil a thing for you. If you are a political intrigue/thriller fan, you're going to love this book.

This is a different level novel, filled with mystery, adventure with a healthy dose of dystopia. I have read one more book from the same author and since then I knew that I am going to read his next book as well.

When she is on work with a doctor, they are attacked as soon as they found something valuable and mysterious. After this, the girl is on the run and comes across various interesting people and aspects of her life.

I loved its speed and the long list of characters involved into some or other action. A must read for thrill lovers. Written in lucid and engaging tone, the author has once again done it.

The Chimera Retribution by author Abhinav Singh is a story which revolves around the main protagonist Vishakha Dutta. The ongoing work of clandestine archaeological near the Kailasa temple, Ellora, was attacked. The whole team suffered except Vishakha. It was her luck that she was safe but unexpectedly she was followed by the Indian Intelligence, the SETI and CIA. Why they were following Vishakha? Are both the scenes connected to each other?
A blend of mysteries, thrillers and archeology made the plotline interesting. The suspense was well maintained and kept me hooked till the end. The characters were quite confusing but well maintained. The cover gave an adventurous clue and the title matched the plot. It was a lengthy read, but I was damn excited while turning the pages to catch the suspense.
Overall it was a wonderful thriller read. Author's thought behind this whole plot was amazing. I would recommend this book to the readers who love thriller stories.

The Chimera Retribution is a stand alone thriller written by Abhinav Singh.
First of all, I have to say it really messed up my head( in a good way) , a part of me believed that whatever is in this book is not purely fictional. The author has successfully fleshed out the plot , that it hooks you up from the very beginning.
This is the story of a girl named Vishaka and her life swirling around Project Chimera. I don't wanna disclose anymore because I might be spoiling the plot.
I was really intrigued from the plot and book didn't fail me. It was a highly engrossing page turner that captivated me from the very beginner. Expecting more awesome works like this from the author.

Vishakha Dutta the main character of the book is traced by many including special forces of India. She has something inside her that will change lives of humans. She doesn't know why all the things are happening to her and who will help her to take her out from them. Vishakha belongs to a family which has relations with government, but she can't take help from them too as something strange is there which will put her life in danger. Story of the book moves around Maharashtra, some ancient temples situated in the states where Vishakha was found and unexpected things started to happen to her.

I've just read the first few chapters of this book. And I can already feel the intensity of each chapter as it prolongs.
Every sentence, every step the character takes. keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what's happening.
The suspense, the thrill it's literally in the air.
You'll find yourself not just reading it, but as if you're actually the main character and this is your world.
Hats off to the writer. This is an absolutely amazing book.

The theme of the book: secrets of our (human) origin. This book speaks about a girl (Vishakha Dutta) who was used as a lab rat to examine if genetic changes can cure diseases or not. How she came to know about it and what she did was remarkable. You need to read a book if you are into science and history of the origin of humans. Did we evolve or we simply created? Are we part of aliens? These topics are debatable and were quite interesting to read, even if you aren't much into science. This book has a lot of scientific terms that were explained well.

Characters were equally supportive and well explained. Transition of different characters is smooth and easily understandable. With a book of 441 pages, it can be seen as tedious read or "who would read such a thick book" but it is a normal paced story and unfolds its mystery and deep dug secrets effortlessly. Protagonist has been portrayed as a strong and determined character.
Altogether, a good choice if you are looking for mystery which can keep you glued.

Despite my constant frustrations with the Science Fiction genre, I keep finding myself pulled back into its orbit. I can’t help but love all of the things that make great Science Fiction great. I tried to start this one a number of times and just wasn’t ever able to get into it. But, instead of passing on it altogether, I’d stick it back in the TBR pile for another chance.
So, I got my hands for "The Chimera Retribution’ by Abhinav Singh that speaks about the dark origin of human race and the "The Chimera" is an electronic transcripts with a code name.
The story is about Vishakha Dutta who is used as a human subject for a trial of genetic changes can cure diseases or not. The story progress about how she came to know about it and what she did?
But what I liked mostly about this book is building of characters. You can easily sympathize with their emotions, how they handle the situations, and face the risks which makes you feel like you are one of them.
Its ambitious and bewitching gem of a book with mystery and passion inscribed on every page.
Vishakha is bound by adherent and takes matters in her own hands with ambition and verve as her life and well-being seem to be in grave peril but her intelligence and nature keep her in good stead as she sets out on a quest for freedom and self-discovery as she tries to track down Indian Intelligence, the SETI and the CIA.
The main lead played by Visakha was so strong and very self-aware which is something to learn from her.
As an arts graduate student, I'm always SUPER picky about the science in books as certain books become really difficult for me to understand but I tip my hat at author Abhinav Singh as he did a fab job crafting the plot and weaving in all the science fiction. He is very good at putting in the details that you need - enough to get an idea of the circumstance.
The other great thing about this book is that it all seems authentic, never over the top or under-written. In addition to creating immensely likable main characters, the author creates a compelling world.
What I've said so far would already be enough to qualify this as a good book that was absolutely worth reading.

The Chimera Retribution by Abhinav Singh is an impeccable book. The book is all about Vishakha Dutta. The book is divided into 34 chapters. A sudden attack takes place near Kailasa Temple, Ellora, everyone is killed in this attack except a girl namely, Vishakha Dutta. After this attack, she finds herself somewhere else. She is running away to save her own life. Several agencies are after her. Vishakha does not even know the reason that why are they after her. She cannot even consult with her family members, because they are also involved in this. The author has wonderfully sketched each and every incident. The book is bit lengthy as it is of 441 pages but, it is very nicely penned down and I'm quite sure that this book won't disappoint you. The author has used easy to understand language. This book is magnificent from all the aspects. If you want to know more about Vishakha and why several agencies are after her, you should not miss this one. Overall, it is a nice book. This book is recommended to all those who are looking forward to read a descriptive book of about 400-500 pages.

He convinces her to join a top secret project led by famous Dr Chandrakumar. Due to the revolving around this exploration, Visakha interest is piqued and she agrees to be a part of it. During the research in Ellora Caves, the exploration team are attacked by some unknown enemy. The whole team gets slaughtered except for Visakha who manages to survive somehow. Before dying Dr Chandrakumar reveals a great secret to her. What was this secret? Will Visakha survive and find out her true destiny?
The author has build the plot very well. The whole plot will keep you hooked throughout the time and you wouldn't want to miss a single detail. The characters are very well developed and there is no over excess of drama. The author has slowly unraveled all the twist and turns perfectly.
The cover of the book is beautiful and mysterious. I really liked the character development of Viskaha. The language of the book is simple allowing me to focus on the plot more thoroughly. I recommend this book to everyone who are interested in thriller and mystery genre. Its one of the best book I have read.

This book mostly revolves around The Serpent who is threatning the Indian government with a massacre, and a girl named Vishaka who after an unfortunate incident learns alot about herself, her powers which are simply unreal, whose complete life had been a lie and nothing else, There is a perk in book that suggest that all the rumors about aliens, ufo are true and there is alot more which goverment have been hiding from, thats the main reason why this book seems so real and not just a fantasy.
My goodness am still in awe with this book, i dont know how to describe this masterpiece,

With 34 chapters, the language is highly engaging yet simple. There are several characters in the book which brings the author's imagination to life.
