Promises to Keep
Heavily pregnant, Ruby Davis has handed over the reins of her psychic business to Corinna, Theo and Ness, who all lament the loss of her leadership. Corinna, at the helm, is determined to keep up their brilliant track record, with case after case continuing to come in. But something has caught her attention. Not a case, exactly, but a dark local mystery.
Rayners Wood forms part of a local landscape feature known as the Devil's Triangle, with Chanctonbury Ring and Cissbury Ring being the other points of the formation, and all associated with cults and black magic.
Called to the Bows' home in Lindfield, where the family is experiencing psychic phenomena, Corinna senses a link between the woods and another house in the village, one that the spirit at the Bows' house is trying to warn them about - Low Cottage. Further investigations reveal that certain houses in Lindfield form a triangle of their own, with Low Cottage and Rayners Wood being the bottom points of each formation, indicating something hellish.
Corinna has been warned by Ruby to keep their work as ordinary as possible after Blakemort, to keep the original purpose of the business: to specialise in spiritual domestic clearance and nothing more. But with Psychic Surveys, very often the ordinary leads to the extraordinary, and as more links are forged between Low Cottage and Rayners Wood, mortal danger awaits...

Shani has done it again. Each book in this series is a great read, but because of the depth of the relationships between the characters, and getting to know everyone better, each book is better than the last. This series is one of my favourites. I always look forward to reading each new book and I'm never disappointed.
In this instalment, Ruby is heavily pregnant. Ness, Theo and Corrina continue running Psychic Surveys, and although they're told by Ruby to stay away from too much darkness, it seems that dark forces can't stop showing themselves to the team - both human and spiritual.

Anther excellent read from this auther
These books can be read stand alone or as a series .
I wont spoil the story but as I've read the series in this book you learn more about what binds the characters together and makes them the individuals they are .
I'm ardent reader and cant get enough of this series or any of the authors other books each is unique but brings the characters to life both the good and the bad ones .
Really looking forward to the next .

Promises to Keep is book 7 in this series. A heavily pregnant Ruby Davies decides to take a step back from the business which deals with cases of psychic phenomena. Ruby leaves Theo, Ness and Corinna to run the business being advised to take on only ordinary cases. So as they attend an ordinary case so they think, ends up leading the team into dire consequences which could put the team in danger.
This book is mainly set around Rayners Woods which when the team attend is scarily, creepy and horrifying to the point that I felt every foot step and feelings and emotions with the characters what they were experiencing too especially Ness. If you have read the books in this series you would understand the author draws you in and sends you into an inner overwhelming experience of emotions throughout the book to the very last page. This book fills in more of the back story of the characters which is brilliant.
In my many years of reading series by author's up and till today - only one other author had brought a tear to my eye in the past. No other author since then has been able to create such an affect, an outstanding book which I experienced an overwhelming mixture of emotions and without spoiling brought tears to my eyes, congratulations to you.
If you haven't read any books by this author you are missing a great that you'll devour one book after another after another.

Absolutely incredible!!
Trying to find the words to write a review on such an amazing book isn’t easy. Shani you have once again created a masterpiece! I have followed the psychic surveys team through all their cases and grown fond of all the characters , this book took it to a whole new level . I found myself feeling anxious and happy and so many other emotions as the story had me captivated from the beginning and had me so engrossed that I read it all in one go , I could not put the book down ! The way you write is nothing short of brilliant and you have a way of drawing the reader into the story so much so as I see the places and people like I’m watching a movie whilst I read . To anyone who is just discovering Shani Struthers I plead you to pick up any of her books and I promise you that you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for another incredible book with the psychic surveys team .

Promises to Keep is the seventh book in the Psychic Surveys series of books by author Shani Struthers.
This book is wrote from a different perspective than the others and it really adds to the story, creating extra depth.
The series follows a group of paranormal investigators, who having varying degrees of psychic ability, help the general public to remove unwanted spirits that have lingered in their homes.
Throughout the series, there is also several underlying themes as well as the main event from that book, so the series runs smoothly and leaves you (impatiently) waiting for the next book in the series.

Ruby has stepped back from Psychic Surveys leaving Theo, Ness and Corinna to run the business without her.. Called to a house where the clocks in the kitchen won't work because of a spirit, the team soon find themselves involved in a dangerous case which puts one of them in grave danger.
I've read all the previous books in this series by Shani Struthers and I have to say this is the best one so far. The story is fast paced and you can feel.the tension coming off the page as the book reaches it's climax.
I couldn't put the book down I found it so gripping and I read it in one day across two sittings.

Wow
Having just finished book 7 of the psychic surveys books, I’m actually gutted the journey is finished now I’ve read them all!
I found the first book by accident and was hooked straight away, not my normal reading material as normally find paranormal stuff tame and boring but this series is really good, well written, with characters who you get to know and feel almost like friends.
I read all the books in less than two weeks because I couldn’t put them down and wanted to know what happened next!
Will certainly be checking out more titles from this author and hope there is a book 8 to look forward to!

A fantastic read.
Shani Struthers never disappoints and seems to be getting better and better. The Psychic Surveys series really has to be read in order I would say, as the character development is as important and enjoyable as the stories. Promises to Keep held my attention throughout, tying up a few loose ends and also making way for more fascinating and exciting cases. Highly recommended.

Shani Struthers does it again!
When you read a Shani Struthers story you just know what to expect, especially if it is based around paranormal laden Sussex. Psychic Surveys is a brilliant creation, with believable characters and atmospheric settings. Don't expect extreme horror or sadistic descriptions, just old fashioned haunting. Well recommended!

Brilliant!
Shani keeps turning them out! Another brilliant episode in the Psychic Surveys story. Hopefully with more to come (hint hint). If you love mysteries, the paranormal and supernatural with a real people element these are the books for you and I would thoroughly recommend along with Shani's other series.

These are suspenseful books, indeed!
I always enjoy the Psychic Survey books. The only thing I gave it only four stars is because of the repetition of parts of the story. Once we read how someone feels or why, or their reactions or read about their past, then why reiterate it for each character? But, other than that, it's great writing!

Ohhh my gosh, the story is so strong, and steps so close to a line that others fear to go near. It's the fact that the author is prepared to go that extra mile to bring you the story that makes it all the more believable. I cried alot during this book, because of the courage, love and the promises Xxx

So good!
This series just keeps getting better and better! With Ruby pregnant and in the background it up to Theo, Ness and Corinna to handle the cases. When they’re called to a house with a ghost who stops clocks, they discover this case is just the tip of the iceberg yet to come. I’m excited to read the next one!

A promise to release
I have so enjoyed reading this book and it didn't disappoint. Ruby having to make a difficult choice and Ness getting closure. Can't wait for the next book in this second series.

Once again Shank has produced a gripping tale which has you on the edge of your seat. Couldn't put it down and felt that sickening disappointment that I had finished it and have to wait until she writes another.
