I have to admit, I have not read the first two books. I've jumped into a story in progress but did not feel lost or disconnected. So as a standalone, it works. Reading in order will give you more backstory on this couple and the other characters and plan to go back and start at book 1 because I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Nikki Landis's writing style draws me in immediately, keeping the pace and energy high.
The story is easy to follow, characters are well developed.
The shifter connection, mate, alpha was perfect for their HEA.

I have loved this series from the start. Rinnick and Savannah's story does not disappoint. Rinnick is a controlling Alpha of his pack. Savanah is a headstrong, opinionated, independent female wolf. The Society is after shifters, trying to take them out of existence.
When Savanah is taken, along other shifter kind, can they all band together to save them? Will Rinnick be able to save his mate?
Another amazing story. Can't wait for the next one.

Rinnick and Savannah’s story was action packed, thrilling and very entertaining from start to finish. It kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails and unwilling to put it down until I was finished. And then I desperately needed more.
I love this shifter series and I can’t wait for the next one.

Finally Rinnick and Savannah get their happy ending. But of course it is not exactly easy. But it was hilarious with a touch of danger of course. All my favorite characters from the previous books show up and add to all the fun. Enjoyed it.

This is the#3rd book in the Cedar Creek Shifters and I absolutely love this series. Rinnick is alpha, protective, sexy and needs to claim his mate. Is Savannah on the same page? Will she allow it? Will they realize they're meant for one another before it's too late?

Yet another action packed PNR tale from this author that grabs the reader from the outset. Rinnick, the pack alpha wants to claim Savy as his mate, she is not so convinced and is engaged to another wolf. Add to this The Society is snatching shifters for experimentation and extermination and he's got a lot on his plate. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and look forward to the next romantic adventure.

I have been a fan of this series since I read the first book and each story does not disappoint. This is Rinnick and Savannah's book. He is the alpha who's always in control and she's the fiesty one who's very opinionated. When you put these two together, it's fire. But of course you can't forget that there's trouble brewing and the society who are anti shifter that'll get thrown into the mix. Yet there's that one lingering question, will Rinnick and Savannah become fated mates and get through things or is it all over before it really begins? You will have to read this amazing book to find out what happens with these two. I couldn't get enough of their story. It had me hooked from start to finish turning pages just so I could get more of the story. I cannot wait to see where the next book is going to take us in this series.

I’m loving this series. Love Rinnick & Savannah. When an anti shifter organization snatches Savannah and others up, they try to fight together to get away. Rinnick is trying to save Savannah? The question is will he make it in time or will he lose his mate?

This book was an awesome read that once I started reading it, I could not put it down. It moves along at a really great pace, which was the perfect flow for the story. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and you cannot help but love them. This story needs to be read, there is no doubt about it.

Possessive Wolf is book three in the Cedar Creek series and is Rinnick and Savannah's book. I absolutely loved this book. Rinnick and Savannah are amazing characters and had me hooked from beginning to end. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

The third book in the Cedar Creek Shifters is Possessive Wolf. Nikki Landis continues with Rinnick's story. I have been enjoying each of these books and despite a few little flaws here and there they are a good read.
I read this right after book 2 Obsessed Wolf and there was a chapter of repetition between the two but if you aren't reading them in order you wouldn't know and it's important to the story. I just kind of skimmed really quickly over it.
Overall though Possessive Wolf was a nice read, a little shorter than the others but still packed with action. The title certainly fits the book. Rinnick is certainly possessive just as we want our alpha males to be.
This book has, shifters, danger, suspense, and spice. I recommend giving it a try I think you'll enjoy Rinnick's story.

Savy has kept her distance from Rinnick for the last three years. They shared a kiss one night, a mind-blowing kiss that Rinnick has never let go of. His wolf decided then that Savy was thiers but it was a bit hard to convince her of that when she stays away. After stumbling upon Savy on the road after another attack from the humans Rinnick is glad that she is finally in his home and maybe he can convince her to stay. The only problem is she tells him she's now engaged.
Rinnick and Savy have history and it's not all good. Three years ago she thought maybe she found the one but the playboy alpha showed his true colors and hurt her. She is so sick of alpha's always demanding and getting whatever they want. Between her father, brother, and Rinnick she's ready to settle for someone less controlling. Agreeing to marry Makon was the right decision. He's sweet, loyal, and treats her wonderfully. It doesn't matter that the fire is only dull, she can be happy she is sure.
With some advice from Cole and Briar, Rinnick decides to try and win Savy over. They just need time together so she can see what is between them, his wolf has already claimed her as his Rinnick just needs to figure out how to make it right.
Savy is so confused by her feelings. When she's around Rinnick all the passion from that first kiss is still burning strong but she can't get past the hurt and she spills it all to Rinnick. Feeling defeated after Savy tells him of his betrayal and her lack of trust in him sends Rinnick away. It may have been what Savy thought she wanted but now he's gone she's not so sure.
With a full moon celebration for the packs Rinnick and Savy find one moment to be honest and when they kiss again it all becomes obvious. No longer able to deny what she can feel and sense the two lose themselves to the moment.
When Makon stumbles upon the couple he is of course furious and hurt and runs off. Savy gives chase but with the humans still a danger she stumbles right into their latest trap. Now Rinnick and Makon will team up to get her back and if they could destroy the humans of The Society in the process all the better.

This is by far my favorite among the three Cedar Creek Shifters books that I've read. The first two were okay, but fell short on the groveling. I was just looking for something more. Possessive Wolf, however, really stepped it up not only with the groveling part (lol, yes, I really am a sucker for that) but also in the plot and the smut.
Of course the story would be kicking up a notch, this being the third book in the series. I just loved the display of more violence than the first two books, and the angst brought about by the love triangle. The mcs, Rinnick and Sav, also have more chemistry than the other mc pairs of the other two books ("Haunted Wolf" and "Obsessed Wolf"). Maybe that's why their smut scenes are also extra spicy lmfao because of their chemistry. Everything Rinnick said made me squeal, which Cole ("Haunted Wolf") and Theo ("Obsessed Wolf") hadn't been able to do. The whole anti-shifters plot also came to fruition with another big bad being established. There's a bigger threat looming and this book made a good way of hinting at that.
The misunderstanding between the two mcs ran deep to the point of almost being unsalvageable, but I loved how they came back together. Rinnick was the typical playboy alpha who gets what he wants, he only need to demand it. Sav was tired of being controlled having experienced it from her father and brothers. The two of them had almost gotten together before, but something happened that made Sav grow cold and run away. When she came back, Rinnick was prepared to do everything to prove to her that they belong with each other only this time, he wasn't the only man in Sav's life...
I really liked the way both of them handled each other. They've caused each other pain, yes, but they didn't have a toxic relationship. Some books contain cheating of some sort (like the guy getting wasted and sleeping with other girls to forget the rejection the fmc subjected them to) just so one of the mcs could prove something, or cause more pain to the other and hurting them more (like humiliation). Rinnick and Sav dealt with their problem head on with a huge breadth of understanding and such maturity that I instantly loved the two of them.
Though I have to say that I was disappointed there wasn't more to the epilogue than what was written. Like, I want to read the whole deal about Rinnick and Sav, marriage and moving in together and having babies lmfao I'm sure that in the next books, they will have a cameo like the other two couples from the books before this one. I just couldn't find it in myself to let go of Rinnick and Sav yet, that's how much I liked them.
The next book is about this new guy in town, which I must admit is very intriguing since this book and the previous stories so far only focused on the people within the known shifters or of neighboring packs and not a complete outsider. He's shown interest in Elena and I just know their story would be something really interesting because of who she is and what she's gone through. I can't wait to read it and more of the rest of the books in the series.

This is a new series for me to read by Nikki Landis. I have only ever read her RBMC books and absolutely love every single one she writes. Well it looks like I will be expanding my Nikki Landis must haves because her Cedar Creek Shifters are seriously awesome. Just the right amount of possessive protective Alphas and feisty strong willed women that make them weak in the knees for them.
This is Rinnick and Savy’s story and it may be a quick one but it’s got a lot of twists and turns and some definite fated mate sparks. Savy is engaged to another shifter fighting her feelings and the pull she feels for Rinnick. Believing the rumors about his insatiable need for one night stands she avoids him at all costs until she no longer can. Rinnick is bound and determined to win her over and make her his mate. These two are the perfect match and absolutely belong together but their story isn’t an easy one, there is danger that lurks in the shadows and they must fight to protect their loved ones and there are betrayals that are uncovered among the clans and a war brewing between shifters and humans.
If you love shifters, Alpha males, and women who fight to be more than just a submissive mate then this is definitely a must read. I highly recommend this book and this whole series!!

"Savy didn't deserve Rinnick. On her crusade for freedom and independence ended up making stupid decisions and being a bitch. A sassy attitude isnt the same as being rude and cruel to the guy you secretely like yet can treat nicely. Damn girl, she isnt the only one who has dealt with over the top controlling family and that "smart" attempt to be free by accepting a different kind of jail was pathethic and childish. Judging... much?! At least try to know the man before you slam the door on his face!! The girl was never advice to not to beliebe in everything that she hears and only half of what she sees. Talking should had been the answer and not cowardly running away. Absolutey pathethic! How old was she? Like 3? **eyes rolling up** Chapter 8 was my enough and couldn't continue with the bitchy attitude of the h. She indeed was her worst enemy and again, the hero was too much for her and he absolutely deserved someone better rather than that bitch. Bye! Until the next one because the first books were great except for this one."

Rinnick and Savannah’s (Savy) story was great! The chemistry between them is nothing but hot! Rinnick is the alpha of his pack and has always known that Savy was his mate. Ever since their first kiss, there was no one else for him. However, Savy saw something not long after their kiss and decided she didn’t want a playboy like Rinnick.
The different shifter packs are still being targeted by the Society. The alphas of all the packs are trying to figure out a way to bring this Society to an end. When Rinnick and Savy finally reconnect, Rinnick finds out she is engaged. But of course, the fated mate bond has other plans for these two. Will the packs be able to defeat the Society and bring safety to the packs? Lots of action, drama, a few secrets and finally giving in to the bond will put a smile on your face! Great story, with great characters. Can’t wait to read more from Nikki Landis.

'Possessive Wolf' is bool three of Nikki Landis' "Cedar Creek Shifters" series. It's been a minute since I read book two but three fell into place within my mind fairly quickly. Rinnick is all Dominant, Alpha. Three years ago with one kiss he knew Savannah, aka Savy, was his but it was shortly afterward that Savy left and wouldn't speak to him again. Now the Society is back, the clans are being targeted, poisoned, and killed. Is there a second chance for these two headstrong, opinionated, wolf shifters? If you're familiar with Nikki Landis' writing style then you know there is a happy ending for the couple but they'll have to work for it and it was well worth the journey.

Rin Nick has spent the past three years pining for his fated mate Savy. She has avoided him because he hurt her without knowing. I really like how he is willing to let her go if that is really what she wants. She gets to see he is not all alphahole as she expected. The pack is working against humans kidnapping and destroying shifters and find unlikely allies in doing so. I feel bad for Makon, but hopefully he finds his true mate. I did like his friendship with Savy. I also love the ending leading into the next book.

This is book 3 of the Cedar Creek series. Again, we continue the background storyline with a Hero we know well now and a Heroine we just got introduced to at the end of Book 2. Highly recommend starting at 1, but starting at Book 2 won’t hurt. I don’t recommend these if you’re looking for something with lots of spice. If you’re wanting a quick shifter read, I definitely recommend. There’s some obvious miscommunication that sends our main characters in opposite directions, one not by choice. Unrequited love in a way.

Awesome read! I absolutely enjoyed reading this book.
Rinnick is an arrogant dominant alpha wolf and Savy is an opinionated feisty she wolf - together they take you on a captivating journey as they fight for their happily ever after. These likeable characters have a well written story with a great storyline that will captivate you with some action, danger, suspense, chemistry, passion, steam, love and more.

Rinnick had been in love with Savannah he has been for years, she had been hiding from him. When he finally sees her again it is at a time when the Society are on the attack, and all of the packs are in danger. Will he be able to unite the packs and win this war? But the biggest question is can he/ will he be able to convince her that her fiance is not the right mate for her? Loving this series so far and looking forward to reading more from this series.

So, I have not read the first two book but you don't have to. This one can totally be read as a stand alone.
Rinnick and Savy have a bit of history but then she moved for a few years. Now she is back, he's ready to rekindle everything but she's not and she's taken.
The shifters are fighting an evil that keeps coming back and with poison as well. Coming to the decision to be offensive rather than defensive comes just not in time. They need to make choices and who cares the consequences now or the future.
