Alpha of the Ravenwood pack. Gatekeeper for the Supernatural. Mother of wolves.
Weeks ago Ava had much simpler titles in life -- orphan, collection agent, human. But she would never go back to what had once been normal. Not if it meant losing the four men who broke down her walls and stole a piece of her heart.
The Archigos pack may have taken her pack's home, but Ava refuses to allow their archenemies to erase her pack from the world as well.
She has only just begun to earn her pack’s trust -- failure is not an option. Failure will mean the eradication of the Ravenwood pack.
"Salvation" is the third book of 3 in the Divinity’s Daughter series, a reverse harem paranormal romance trilogy.
Why do so many female authors write such horrible, single minded, selfish, foolhardy women thinking they are somehow writing strong, independent and capable women. Let’s start with Ava’s blatant disregard for her own life. She admits to knowing nothing about leading and about shifters but seems to be the know it all. She is willing to go to war with her sister’s coven but the second the sister is kidnapped Ava rushes in? Alone? Oh and the way out of this is some magical tea to increase fertility? It’s like..don’t kill me, I have magic sexy tea. I mean…seriously. The bad thing is that the character knows she is wrong. Ava knows her behavior is wrong. Yet she does it anyway. She has such a lack of respect to the men and the people she leads…that she willfully disregards them at every turn. Ava is not likable. I read this book hoping she had real consequences for her actions - but knew those consequences would be horrific. Terrible character.
I'm kind of disappointed with this series. I never came to care about Ava because she was just so stupid. She was one of those characters who do stupid things acting like they are selfless when in reality they just making everything worse. I guess that what I can hand her is that at least she tried to DO something. Honestly, it seemed like nobody knew what to do about anything. Graham is supposedly uber smart. Yet he never finds any helpful information. Lucas is supposedly the "lawyer" and knows all the ins and outs of pack politics. Yet the most he contributed was to suggest asking other packs for help. Declan is the muscle, but he has no control of his temper. We never see him do much more than teach. Rylan is the doctor. Yes, he does his job as the pack doctor, but nothing else. So, it's no wonder the rest of the pack is upset with an Alpha who knows nothing about leadership. They have betas who have no idea what they're doing and send the pack into unnecessary situations. They are all bumbling idiots.
That brings me to the grand finale. Seriously? They are all out there ready for a fight but nobody noticed they're surrounded? Ava has power she can use from a distance and allows Vince to not only grab her, but stab her? Like I said, bumbling idiots. We never do find out how Vince is getting his information on the pack, nor how he kept getting the jump on Ava's pack repeatedly. Somehow Ava is able to kill him when nobody else has been able to take him down. AND, she was able to do it while dying! Pretty amazing stuff....
The whole ending with the underworld and Raven was done so quickly that I didn't really get the whole thing. It seemed kind of ridiculous. The whole ending was just so fast and easy.
I never liked Ava, and by the end, not even the guys held my interest. They may have been nice to her, but they didn't have much else to offer in my opinion. The series is a 3 star at best. It's not awful, but it's not great either. I was disappointed.
Idk this series just wasnt my cup of tea. Maybe the author is a newer author or something because now that I've finished the trilogy(3 novellas or 1 book really) I have to say it's very underwhelming and not really worth the read because of how boring it became and quite annoying. Also this should of been one book instead of 3 which might have brought my rating up slightly. I absolutely hate when authors draw out books because the authors trying to swindle more money out of people if they don't have KU its just annoying. Just kinda disappointed cuz it could of been good if a more experienced author wrote it.
So while I enjoyed this entire series I was a little bit irritated with this last book. Mainly because it has been two years since the last one. So I have forgotten the characters personalities and some events. Other than that it was a good conclusion to the series. Maybe a bit rushed.
I loved this so much and I’m so glad I waited because it was so worth it. This book I could not put down till I finished it. I’m so happy for that ending I cried happy tears. Is it wrong I didn’t want it to end and that I want a spin-off or something lol. Because this series is one of my favorite shifter series ever!
this book was kinda short but I liked how it wrapped everything up I wish it was longer and we could know more about raven but over all it was a nice ending to this series
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters. I am glad that everything worked out for Ava and her mates but sad that her sister died yet she did it so Ava could birth her baby.
I have loved reading this series and third and final installment has not let me down I would of loved to see Vincent face lol but I’ll let u all read and enjoy brilliant ending would like another one though xx
This book was a nice change of place for me I like the characters and the development was of the story was different than other shifter books I've been reading so it was pleasant
This conclusion to the Divinity’s Daughter trilogy was enthralling and deeply satisfying. There are a couple of unexpected twists along the way but the ride was exhilarating. I binge read all three books in two days!
I can’t believe this was the last book . I wish there was more I’m gonna miss these characters. Ava was a total bad chick . I was a really good ending.
Felt like nothing happened and then it was just blah really. So I’m thinking it’s more a 2.5 stars instead of three. Yeah. Was a bit of a bummer. Oh well.
